Incredible tapas. Portions were really generous & the six dishes we tried were all absolutely delicious. Service was fast & staff were really friendly. We arrived with no expectations, we left ready to recommend to as many people as possible.

This has been a great pit stop for the Monday and Wednesday night DHR rides. Beer is great, people that run it are friendly and awesome location.

Perfectly fine café with excellent service. Nothing particularly fancy food wise, but I certainly enjoyed a good decaf coffee and a toastie. Delicious! Fresh ingredients, well cooked, options for all tastes and generous portions. We asked for a substitution for my lactose-intolerant table-mate and the staff was very accommodating and nice about it. Veggie and vegan options available. Such a nice dinner, and good quality for the price!

Went for a drink today and saw some of the food coming out, so on that we decided to order lunch! I was worried as we hadnt visited before and was unsure, there was no need to worry at all! I had the Ham Eggs and Chips wow 👏😍 thick pieces of ham almost like gammon, chips were definitely home cooked not frozen and served eggs were perfectly runny. So for me it was brilliant !Seating is available inside and out we were lucky to get the last table outside because the rest were booked!I would score a high 10 out of 10

Outstanding I had the ploughmans the best ploughmans I have had in a long time the bread was freshly baked that day which made it tast even better. The chef at this pub is one if the best in the South you have to go and try this pup.

Disappointing burger, especially for the price. It was literally a patty in a bun. Staff were friendly though and the setting is nice.

Friendly service but we had to chase to pay the bill. Food was quick and although nothing wrong it it it was nothing special - a little bland.

Lovely stop for lunch after a country walk from .Marchwood. The homemade burger and chips is excellent value with friendly service. Strongly recommended.

We visit the Anchor Inn regularly both for drinks and eatsSunday lunch was very busy, we booked for 3pm they were running out of some traditional parts of a roast - Yorkshire puddings and some veg, I think this was a one off due to unexpected demand, so frozen veg - peas, carrots instead - needs must So we would book earlier for our part, however cannot fault the staff they all go the extra mile friendly excellent service keep the good work up the Anchor Inn

The Roast dinner today was absolutely delicious. The meat, vegetables, garvy and pudding was out of this world. Felt like I we were in our own home having a home cooked dinner. Thats how nice it was. The service was also amazing really kind and friendly ladies who served today. We will.come back and recommend our friends

Very friendly staff, service was great. Food was excellent, Im vegetarian and the Lentil and Carrot curry fantastic. The rest of the party enjoyed their food, husband said his fish was perfect. Allowed dog in as well. 💯 All the way. Will be back again. Highly recommended.

A pub with atmosphere that sensibly handles Covid-19 restrictions. The staff are friendly and obliging and the food is delicious. Currently, they are also incorporating an eat out to help out scheme, taking 30% off food and drink for most of the day, making it highly affordable. I would definitely go here again.

Very hospitable to three mums with babies despite the little ones being noisy and making a mess as they will always do! the excellent waitress made us feel at home. we very much enjoyed the food, with an honourable mention for the chips!

Love it here, good beer, good food, great atmosphere. At times the quayside feels tranquil amongst the all round bustle which just highlights what a great area to have a great pub in.

No hot food on Monday apart from chips

Really lovely location by the water, very friendly staff, a couple of good fresh real ales, pretty decent pub food too.

Although not a huge selection of beers, this place is incredibly well situated and is perfect in the summer for the family.The food is typical pub fare, with all the classics.There is a small gin bar at the side of the main bar, which is well stocked.They do have Summer Lightning on tap, but the rest of the beers they offer is relatively sparse.The staff are friendly, polite and great to talk to.

Came across this pub whilst visiting Eling Mill. Very welcoming staff, fab Roast dinner and felt safe re Covid rules. Highly recomend a visit. Sat outside watching the boats.

Part of original order unavailable, unfortunately when the food arrived it wasnt very good. Butter had melted and set again, not nice. Chicken wings appeared to be cooked then served with BBQ sauce, not marinated just poured on after. Chips burnt. The bar staff didnt replace them as they said they didnt know what we wanted. Most of our meal wasnt eaten unfortunately. Such a shame as the setting is idyllic.

Lunch time baguette cheese and onion relish, jumbo chips (1 portion) and 2 x latte coffees £15.00. The baguette and fries my friend and I shared. Well over priced dont you think for a pub lunch!!

Lovely little place by the water, serves food and drink. Ideal for families, groups, couples or alone. Its not rowdy its really pleasant and friendly. The staff are really polite and friendly. They have bands in and you can hire a band to go in there if you have an occasion to celebrate. You have plenty of parking, and you have inside and outside seating. Its lovely and I would recommend to anyone.

Nice fish chips and mushy pea meal 👍 Only thing i would of liked the knives and forks wrapped in a servette instead of people helping themselves out of a container. Otherwise good work all round.

A great mix of the old & modern. There is the bar side with a dedicated darts area, flat screen TV for sports & the usual pub seating whilst round the corner is a more modern area, almost like s coffee shop. They do serve decent coffee & good food at a decent price. All with a large car park, out door patio & views of the yachts moored along the water & the tide mill in the distance.

Great service

This pub has just changed landlords. It has had a refurb that makes it look more welcoming than before. The bar staff seem happier also. A very friendly and warm atmosphere. Cant comment on the food as I have not eaten there yet but the menu looks good and reasonably priced.

Cant seem to reply back on my rating, but no PPE was being worn by staff and no social distancing measures in place except from a few stickers on the floor. The eating area was very crowded and was pretty much on top of each other.

Food is reasonably priced and was very tasty. Home made steak pie is yummy. Atmosphere was ok, lighting is a little too bright. Staff were excellent. Thanks all at the Anchor inn.

Really friend place. Plenty of places to sit inside and out. Very clean, tidy and modern. Plenty of parking. There are places near by to go for a walk as well.

The food was very nice but the service was chaotic (reason for only 4 stars), they dont have fixed table numbers so the waiters in couple occasions gave people incorrect orders, fixed table numbers Im sure would help them.

Nice food and a nice view over the water. Friendly staff and nice selection of beers (including Summer Lightning, Tribute and Doom Bar). Ignore the for sale signs, this place is definitely open and a good place for grub. Theres outdoor seating when its sunny too. Ill be coming back.

Lovely roast lamb, roast potatoes done to perfection, veg and even mint sauce.....absolutely delicious. Staff very helpful and friendly. Def eat here again.

What a great find, wish we had found it sooner!Not only do they have great amazing homemade food, it is affordable and the venue is clean. The staff were friendly and keen to help when we needed it. Very child friendly, nice little fenced area outside when the weather is nice, can watch the boats and just have a really great day. Childrens menu was fantastic and all homemade (ok except the french fries!!!).Want to tell the world it is so good!.

A lovely large pub in the New Forest. We went there as it is famous for having many of the New Forest donkeys around it. There is a seperate dinning area, dog free, otherwise dogs are made very welcome they even provide fresh water and bowls for dogs. There is seating outside, including baby chairs, plus a small play area for children.

A dog friendly pub with a great view of the harbour you can walk your dog from here pop into the eling tidemill just a stones throw away and see the working mill then take circular walk on the board walk thorough the grave yard and back over the toll bridge to the pub for a lovely pub lunch or early evening meal great

Nice enough to sit outside and the staff seemed nice. I chose the wrong option for lunch though, I got plenty of salad the burger was a pretty poor effort. The pies looked better as theyre pieminister ones.
