Best cuts of meat in town! Fair prices and try their black garlic!!!!

Owner is Extremely Rude!I Had an appointment set up with these guys this December to butcher 4 hogs. Unfortunately, we had unusual problems with loading them up and then the axle on the trailer. I called and informed Marks Meats to keep them informed of my situation. After overcoming several difficulties I called Marks Meats to apologize and asked to reschedule. (I have never missed an appointment with a butcher) Mark himself called me back and said, Never call here again! You cost me a lot of money! I raise livestock to feed my family, one would expect a certain amount of customer service as well as the unexpected problems with moving livestock. I would never recommend Marks Meats just based on these facts.I would however recommend FAMILY TREE MEATS in Grenola, KS. These guys got me in the next day without an appointment and were very welcoming and understanding that Murphys Law is always a reality.

Very friendly staff! This market is decently sized and has a good variety. Location is good but prices seemed a bit high. They provide meats for the restaurant next door which is one of my favorite places in Wichita - Anchor!

I had steak with fries and was not disappointed. It was fantastic. They have a huge selection of beer to choose from. My kids were accommodated as well and ate all of their food. The staff was friendly and our waitress was a pro. I would highly recommend eating here.

I was told on the phone that they have whole chicken (frozen). Got there and stood at the counter waiting for service for 5 minutes before I had to go to the restaurant to get help. A very helpful employee from the restaurant went and looked for chicken for a while when the guy working at the market finally showed up and told me they dont carry chicken. Im sure the meat there is fine, but the service was enough to turn me off from returning.

No better place to get local meats, amazing cheeses, local eggs, etc. It is a true gem! They make their own sausages and do all the butchering onsite. The staff is always very helpful and knowledgeable. Highly highly recommend!

One of the best experiences I have had in town. I was looking for a duck, the lady behind the counter was more then helpful & had what I needed. They were friendly.

I ordered the chips and queso and the chips were stale. Then my burger was supposed to be medium, it was WELL done and got to wait 30 minutes for it and got to watch it just sit in the window while my server helped the bartender make drinks during a very slow period. Overall not worth the money you want to charge people. Ill get my beer at the liquor store and make my own food!

Party of 8. Got seated quickly, got waters. Shortly after, ordered our appetizers and beer. Apps showed up relatively quickly, no beer. Had to go to waitress station and get our own plates to eat our apps. Get our beers halfway through apps. Apps were good and hot. That is why they get at least 1 star. Order our entrees. Wait and wait. Waitress never comes by to check on us. Notice several other tables seated AFTER us have gotten their meals. Finally get our entrees. Asked servers if we could please get another round of beers. Never came. Now remember that they serve their beer in bottle or can (which is fine). My point being that when all you have to do is go to a cooler and grab the can and open the tab and hand it to the customer you would think you could do that at a greater frequency then once every hour and a half. Food was cold, sides were grease soaked. We all ate a couple of bites and that was it. We just wanted to leave and the waitress finally comes up and asks what was wrong with the food because she sees that it is hardly touched. We explain it was cold, under cooked, how we have been there an hour and a half and only had 1 drink. She gets defensive and starts talking about how busy they were. We tell her we just want to pay and leave. She talks to her manager and gets us 10% off of our meals. Great. It was the most attention she had given our table the entire night. Just let us go. Wouldnt eat here again if you picked up the check.Trying to answer mgmt. inquiry below but it wont let me do it directly so I will edit my post here in hopes that you see it. No, I dont remember her name. She might have just been having a bad night also. It happens.

I was here yesterday, got Bones in Ribeye, and it was absolutely wonderful, the staff he was very helpful. I have a great experience in there. The price for their meats quality was reasonable. It was worth every penny.

Great selections. My favorite is teres major steak and the garlic pepper bacon. Matter of fact as Im typing this I just may go pick that up and make some bacon wrapped steaks

I have usually been a fan of this place but today was a different story.I went with my 3 siblings. We ordered jalapeño bottle caps for an appetizer, which was $8. I’m not kidding when I say that I don’t think they even used a whole jalapeño for the order. There were maybe 15 small pieces on the plate. That’s just a disgraceful rip off in my opinion.Our entrees weren’t bad but nothing special. We got chicken tenders, Jamaican wings and a Reuben. We asked for truffle fries with the entreesWhen we got the bill, it was a whopping $80!!!! For LUNCH!! 1 appetizer, 4 entrees and 2 soft drinks. Our server didn’t care to mention that upgrading to truffle fries was and extra $6 - another rip off.Lastly, but not less importantly, our service was terrible. Our server smelled bad, was very out of it and extremely slow. Not a good rep for the Anchor if you ask me.

This is a great place you can get a steak here take it next-door anyway you want it.They also have amazing or take out ready to fix dinnerWednesday night they have a meatball and pasta special to feed for for 15 bucks

Okay so I am not sure if I have the same place or not. This is showing a meat market, when I was in here it was a bar with a new drink menu. Good fun place to be if I have the correct place.

Fantastic prime cuts, need I say more? Ive uploaded some pictures of whats going on inside. We find that the prices are great for the high quality meats they sell. I can easily out do the best steak house in Wichita if I purchase some prime filet from the Douglas Avenue Chop Shop and throw them on my grill.

I was seated in my group of 6 people, and after 10 minutes our server took our drink order, after almost 20 more minutes passed he finally brought 2 out of our 6 drinks and took our food order, finally, after a total of 47 minutes since walking in the door, another server came by and said that the servers shift had ended and she would be taking over. We stood up and gave her $5 because it wasnt her fault, and we left. My friends brother hadnt been to The Anchor and now thinks its the worst restaurant in Wichita, even though Ive had good memories there, I am now struggling to convince him otherwise.RESPONSE: I entered at 2:32PM on August 17th (I know because I texted the rest of my party at this time)

Let me start by saying that this review is a reflection of the service and not the food. I have always liked the anchor, their Rueben is great and you can tell everything is made to order. However, our waitress did not seem to have the best hygiene and appeared very out of it. Three of us asked to have truffle fries with our orders, (2 chicken tender meals and 1 Rueben) all of which already come with fries so we assumed she would let us know if it would be an up-charge. We got our check, and each order of truffle fries was a whopping $6 added onto our meals.When we were finished and mind blown by the $85.00 tab for 4 people, we expressed our concern and said if we would have known about that before hand we would not have gotten the truffle fries. Anyways, we paid the tab and left feeling a bit put off by the whole experience.UPDATE REPLY: I am unsure of her name. We did not get it, but she was a short older woman.

Very happy with quality of meat and the prices were Fair.Update: Doesnt know when the restock of meat gets in. I asked Sunday and was told tuesday, asked tuesday told Wednesday by 2pm and asked at 2pm only to be told by 5pm.Very disappointing.

Love this meat market. Weve tried saysage, pork shoulder, pork ribs, KC strip, ribeye, cowboy ribeye, tri tip roast, filet and it was all great. The meat is better than just about any prime steakhouse, there are a few exceptions, but you get the steakhouse quality at half the cost. If you like it spicy, try the ghost pepper cheese.

They have amazing South American cuts, such as Tapa Cuadril or Picanha. And the price is good for the quality! Their sausages are delicious! The pork sriracha is my favorite.

I have been going here for years and this was the 1st bad experience I have bad. The server brought me the wrong thing, and when she brought me what I ordered it was missing items. We had to flag other servers down for refills and our check because we never saw our server again.
