Love this place! The sign out front says “best local shopping” and I have to agree! Tons of Wichita themed gift items, a super cute plant shop attached and a little cafe where you can get breakfast tacos. As other reviewers said, it’s kind of pricey but I like supporting local artisans. I went on a Sunday and there was live music. Service is great and super helpful! They’re right next door to spice merchant so you can shop at both.

We were visiting from Florida for one day. I wanted postcards representing the city & stickers for our RV after touring places around the city. One museum store didnt have these so they recommended The Workroom (cool name). Its a large store (with more than 1 room) with all kinds of gift items. I found what I was looking for & checked out with a nice young woman.However, the total for my @7 items seemed too high. I left my glasses in the car so I went out to check the receipt. I returned & told the cashier I was double-charged or overcharged for some items. She stated, no, the items I purchased are charged higher from local artists. My problem with this was the postcards on the rack were clearly marked $1/piece. The stickers on the table were clearly marked $3/piece. But at checkout Im charged $3/postcard and $4/stickers! I couldve demanded I be charged whats marked in store, but I didnt. The cashier did offer to refund my money but I said no, its going to the artists, forget it. Even though I thanked her & left, I was irritated.I personally find this happens way too often in high-end/local-artist-type stores where they charge what they want at check-out. I guess I need to get into a new practice of asking at checkout before I whip out my CC for sticker shock.

Small but delightful! Good collection of mostly Wichita themed local art and cool handcrafted items. Best place I know of in town to support local crafts!

Cool shop full of Wichita themed products. Its been a couple of years since I was there last, but I remeber more of the space was devoted to local craft people. Now Im not sure how much of it is created localy. In either case there are plenty of neat ICT themed products to help tourists or people who are back in town find some fun gifts. Bring a heavy wallet though, the products are priced on the high side.

I enjoy visiting this little gift shops. They have a huge variety of items, especially with the Wichita Flag. I like that they support local artist and sell their products.

From body products to furniture and art, theyve got all the gifts and personal items you could wish for. Bonus? Theres a vintage clothing shop AND snack shop connected so you can get Louboutin on the steal while eating a breakfast taco. Make a date of it. Youre welcome.

Love shopping here for local goods and special gifts! Such a great curation of products and the owner is a great steward for the community. Always a first stop when I’m looking for a gift for someone but I’m not quite sure what yet!

First time to stop by and see what the Workroom had to offer. Oh my goodness! I love this store! They have wonderful items from local Wichita crafters! Wichita flag items and other great products to purchase!! Wife was pleasantly surprised when she saw what was in the store. After getting home we decided to go back and get the Wichita flag frosted drinking glasses! So cool!

And, as always, the Best Customer Service this side of Douglas & Cleveland!Also, Ive heard that The Workroom can revamp/rock out your homes interior. I think its true because Ive seen an insane amount of color swatches. Go check it out for yourself!

The Workroom and Grow are 2 of the most unique, creative, enjoyable shops in Wichita. A great space for local artisans and beautiful plants and handcrafted items. Love these places.

GROW is an awesome plant boutique inside the Workroom. House plants, air plants, succulents, and so much more! Heather is very knowledgable about plants and always available to answer questions. Highly recommend visiting!

Tons of items celebrating local pride and the Wichita flag.The second sat of every month there is an art market where you can shop direct from local artists and grab a bite from the many food trucks while you listen to live local music.The best place for handmade gifts!

This is a wonderful venue where local artists can thrive and bring their work to the public. Everything this place does is all about celebrating and giving back to Wichita. I wish there were more places like this in town. After leaving I honestly had a renewed sense of pride in the place Ive grown up.

They have a wonderful selection of items made by local artisans from whimsical to fine art. Well worth the trip. Were from out of town and stopped by. Glad that we did! Picked up a couple of nice gifts.

This place was awesome! So many cool things to check out and a very inviting atmosphere, I cant wait to go back and get more items. Would have given a 5 star rating if the lady working behind the counter wasnt so unpleasant and unwilling to assist me with a simple request. Its all about customer service. Everyone else I encountered there was very kind.

UNIQUE local gift shop! Local artist goods, ICT merchandise, hand crafted gifts, art, etc. For a small store, its loaded with beautiful unique items. The back area is custom upholstery/handmade textile items. Staff is helpful and polite while you browse. Parking lot is marked off for monthly artist outdoor market making parking small near building. However further out, if you dont mind walking there is plenty of parking.

The Workroom is a fantastic shop to not only visit, but frequent. They not only have a great selection of Wichita-specific gifts and apparel, but other amazing finds as well - including my personal favorites, Pendleton blankets. The staff are warm and helpful, and ready to help whenever you need!

This is such a cool place. Local artists and craftspeople, lots of Wichita pride, and some of the friendliest staff in town. Worth a stop... especially on Second Saturday, with live music, food trucks, etc. Always a good time.

Amazing shop! Lots of ICT love (Flag T-shirts, coasters, art prints, mugs, etc.) and I really like the fact that they feature local artists work throughout the store. The also have do custom home textiles in-house. I had pillows and drapes made...they were amazing!

One of the coolest spots in town - fostering local artists, food trucks[!] and much than just pillows and aprons! Youd think youre in a store in a much larger city. Great people all around!

You cannot go wrong if shopping for something authentically ICT. The Workroom is ideal for those who love ICT, KS, local art, or need a ferociously talented interior designer who loves this town and the people in it. Janelle King is the driving force who deserves to have her vision and passion enrobe this entire town, and leave it looking smashing. It is worth your time to stop in and see all the treasures The Workroom keeps within its walls. Plus, the entire dynamic crew are phenomenal!
