Weve use this company several for awing and sign projects. The new owners are great at taking care of their customers. In the past year weve done 2 different projects with new full color printed awning re-coverings, another complete new awning and with printed cover, and just today they installed 2 new metal signs with vinyl graphics. They are quick to respond and the prices are great. Highly recommend this company and their sister company Shire Graphics and well be using them again for any future projects.

Super simple and easy process. Someone backed into one of our awnings and damaged it pretty good. Wichita Awning was able to repair our existing awning, re-fabric it and reinstall. Super easy and friendly to work with.

My initial impression of Wichita Awning Company was that it was a a family-run business with great customer service. Unfortunately, it turned out to be smoke and mirrors...I was told initially that business was slow, and I wanted to give them my business (especially since I like to help out small businesses). It turns out that was just a dishonest ploy to make money off of me.After choosing the fabric we wanted for our awning and being told they would be out that weekend to take measurements, I had to call them a week later to remind them I was still waiting on my estimate. Finally, after two weeks, my estimate was written up and stated it would take 2-3 weeks before installation.Over 8 weeks later and a few calls from me asking about the status of my awning order, I received a call stating my awning had arrived and was ready to install. About a week prior to that call, Gordon called me in and suggested I add grommets and a few extra support beams to the awning structure, to which I agreed (we sat down for an hour going over these details, and he said he could make it all happen).My awning was installed while I was at work. When I came home, it looked great, but it was not installed properly. None of the details I had gone over with Gordon (for which I said I would pay more) had been addressed. There were no grommets for rain drainage and no support beams. When I found the time, I called Wichita Awning back to ask if they were coming back out to install grommets and support beams (or if they decided not to install them because in their professional opinion they determined these would not be required). I was told three things: a) they forgot to put the changes into my order, b) I could install support beams if I wanted, but they were not going to, and c) if I wanted them to add grommets, I would have to take the awning down and bring it back to them (good luck accomplishing this task in a sedan, even if you had the desire).My impression is that Wichita Awning Company takes care of its commercial customers but its residential customers take a back seat. After initially being told business was slow and placing my order, I heard excuse after excuse that they were overwhelmed.Bottom line: Unless you want to wait 3-4 times longer than stated on the estimate, deal with a business which fails to communicate with one another, have your project installed improperly, and be told the onus is on you to fix their mistakes, I do not recommend Wichita Awning Company for your awning needs. I was nothing but a pleasant customer throughout this process, but Wichita Awning Companys performance all-around was simply unacceptable.
