Took truck there to find broke wire in drivers door that was causing passenger window to malfunction. After a hour of working which they didn’t even remove door panel they said yeah it’s broke wire inside door panel. So after paying 139 dollars for the Diagnostic. Then they wanted another 135 dollars to remove door panel(5 minute) job to solder wire back together. Told them forget that and went home and fixed wire myself. 10 minute job. Taking door panel off is only a 5 minute deal at most. Easy. They played with truck one hour in back room before I asked what they found. So the diagnostic was supposed to be 140 to cover a 2 hours. Then they claim if they found problem in 15 minutes I still had to pay another 135 to fix it. Big rip off I thought so I said I take it home. Paid 139 with a discount and left.

I love the integrity of this business! They only tell you things you need to do! They don’t try to cheat you or have a huge long list of things your car doesn’t really need. I really appreciate it so much!

Chase set my appointment date, the guys were very knowledgeable and professional, they took great care of my car, and even offered a shuttle service. I also liked that pictures were included with the recommended repairs which made it easy for me to understand what was going to be performed on my car. My car is running better than it has in a long time. I even had my head lights, interior lights, and tag lights upgraded to the LED lights. These guys are great at central auto and electric. Did I mention great customer service too.

Not sure if it was my car or what but they couldnt figure out the issue. Long story short, i am $865 in the hole with a car that still doesnt run. I wouldve probably had more compassion if the process didnt take almost 4 months. I had to go out of my way to call them every couple weeks for an update which made it seem like they werent even working on it. For about 2 months it seemed like they hadnt even touched it and when i called for updates they just said they didnt have anything new for me at that point. Eventually i had to just cut my losses just to get my car back to try and figure something out. Not sure how their other services are but if you have electrical problem i would look elsewhere.

Took my 76 Bronco to another shop. They kept it a week and were talking another week!!!Central didnt have it half a day. FIXED! Done. THANK YOU!!!

These people charged me $290 for diagnostics and $200 per hour. They are rip-offs.  Didnt even fixed the issue.  Dont waste your time or money.Does that look $870 worth?

I’ve been visiting Central Auto Repair for the past 5 years and they have always treated me like their only customer. After each service I receive a report with items that should be addressed with my vehicle. This service allows me to budget for said repairs. I highly recommend.

I had my truck looked at there for electrical problems. They couldnt find the problem but neither could I or my regular mechanic and I pulled it out because it is my daily driver and I couldnt be without it so I cant really fault them. They were super friendly and seemed to have good knowledge.

I was driving through the area recently and encountered an electrical problem with my vehicle. I found this shop on Google Maps, then called and spoke with Keith, I let him know what was going on and told him that I was about 20 minutes away. When I arrived, Michael, one of the technicians, had already been informed by Keith about my issue and was able to start working on it right away.Michael was able to repair my vehicle, double check some related components, and get me back on the road in about half an hour.Its never fun to run into vehicle problems when youre traveling, I was very lucky to have found this facility, I couldnt be happier with my experience there.

I was referred here and I can see why. They were very professional. I went in for a tire patch and an oil change and when I was asked how much I paid for both of those services my family couldn’t believe it. I still paid less than what they typically do for just an oil change. I was given a summary of the things they checked on my vehicle and I was given a descriptive report about what is in good shape and what may need attention in the future. I opted out of getting a couple of things done at this moment and they were totally understanding. I couldn’t be happier.

I was charged $1200 for a battery and starter had the same thing done years before on the same truck and it was under $500 they would not return my phone calls. Absolutely price gouging beyond my belief 6 months later. They couldnt even get it running. CORRUPT

Had my truck for 5 weeks with no correspondence on their end. Had to call 4 times and visit 3 times only to be told next Monday well get to it every time. Then it was vandalized only to be told their insurance would not cover it. Horrible experience. Would not recommend to my worst enemy

Fast and Friendly!

I took my car here to get an oil change and because I thought another service provider had made mistakes. I also thought the electric was messed up and my breaks needed replaced. They were SO honest and helpful. They were busy but got me right in and assured me that all I needed was an oil change an a new battery in my key fob. Thats integrity! I highly recommend them! They also have an awesome website link I noticed when I got home that keeps track of all your cars needs and service history. Very cool.

$600.00 later they still didnt fix my truck. They wanted another $500 to replace a part that they said was their best guess. Stay away from this place.

We set up an appointment 2 1/2 weeks ago to fix my moms speedometer stepper motor, said they were running a little behind, be about 3 hrs, well call you when its ready. Appointment was at 11:30, 3:15 we went back, still sitting there, they said, oh we dont have the parts, we ordered them for you, they will be here Thursday, come back then and we can install them. Going back Friday, with out an appointment !!!!

They got us in the same day when we were experiencing car trouble, did the inspection, and fixed our problems. They were so responsive, kept us abreast of all statuses, and provided excellent customer service

I just had an oil change and tires mounted. They went above and beyond and checked my fluids, drive train and a bunch of other things. The staff was very friendly and knowledgeable and showed me items that I need to monitor and plan to replace in the future.

I took my 1991 Jeep into the shop and discussed my concerns with Keith . Not knowing at that time he was the owner. We discussed an issue of my turn signals not working when I picked my jeep up after it had been repaired. At that time I was told by another employee that it would run me about another $100 to diagnose and fix the turn signals . I refused the repairs at that time. This had been awhile back and when I had the encounter with, Keith. There was a complete turn around. The repairs done originally most likely may not have caused the turn signals to not work. But Keith took it upon himself to look at my jeep and determine what the problem was. Keith and his team found the problem and fixed it without any additional charge to me. Keith and his team treated me with nothing but pure respect. The repair was done promptly for me. I would highly recommend Central Auto Repair & Electric to all my family and friends . Quick and accurate diagnois. Repairs done right.We have 2 Chev Tahoes. Keith and his crew quickly diagnosed starting problems on the older one as a bad injector spider. They Replaced it quickly and reasonably. The A/c stopped working on the newer one while out of town... a different shop tried fixing it once and failed...then said I needed a whole new $1500 system. I knew Id best get the car to Central Auto.Keiths guys correctly diagnosed the problem in 10 min; .. a leaking line to the rear of the vehicle.

Got my 2006 Pathfinder tuned up my gas mileage had gone down from 350 a tank to 309, the got me tuned up and back to the original gas mileage. great honest car repair. I like this shop.

I took my car into a couple shops before taking it here. The first couple shops said it was the main computer system needed replaced and the part was $400 and should cost around $500 w/ labor. A co-worker recommended taking it to an electrical shop to make sure I get the right things fixed. So I took it to Central Electric, told them what others told me and discussed the parts. Central told me they would look at, but charge a diagnostics fee while doing so. I went ahead, and 3 hours later the same results, but now Im in with them for almost $300. They got the part in and fixed it for a grand total of $785. The next day I noticed my door locks werent working correctly, so when I took it back in for warranty work they said what they did wouldnt have affected the locks and they would have to charge another diagnostics fee to check it.Folks, go somewhere else. Most shops offer free estimates and dont charge to figure the problem. They arent a specialty shop, most shops can work on electrical issues as well.

Very good customer service and knowledgeable mechanics. I had a check engine light diagnose for my ranger truck and it was detailed and accurate, gave me a ride to work for the duration of the service and picked me up after. Great deals and promotions. I probably used 2-3 promotions within last few months. Never had any problem with any of the services I had. Prices are little bit on the pricy side on regular repairs and maintenance services but I absolutely recommend them.

I purchased tires off Amazon and the suggested service came up to have them mounted and balance at Keiths shop for a very reasonable price. They even checked my fluids, Air filter and various parts of my drive train. I am pleased with the service I received and would recommend CAE.

If you need any auto repair done, from an oil change to engine overhaul, call Central Auto Repair & Electric! My vehicle was acting up and I had no idea what it could be. I dropped it off in the morning, the owner took me to work, they diagnosed the problem and were able to get it fixed by the time I got off work. AND the owner picked me up from work so I didnt have to worry about finding a ride to and from. The prices are reasonable and they are quick and efficient. They also didnt try to sell me unnecessary repairs just to make a buck. Its comforting to have a reliable, and trustworthy repair shop.

I bought tires on Amazon and had the work done here. When I pulled up they put my car in right away. Also, the owner Keith was very nice, talkative, and easy to get along with. I plan on getting an oil change here in a month or so.

This mechanic is affordable, reliable and FAST. i didnt even have time to finish a cigarette and poof... my alternator and battery were replaced and my truck was back on the road. Highly recommend.

Wasnt impressed at all. Paid $115 for a diagnostic for them to tell me that they couldnt figure it out and wanted another $230 to troubleshoot the problem. Took my car down the street to the dumbwireguy, explained what was going on...he diagnosed AND fixed the problem for $125 total. Sorry but I cant recommend Central Auto Repair & Electric.

Keith charged $1,200 to fix my car, and it broke down immediately. I called the shop back to speak with Keith, he was supposed to call me back. A week later I still had not heard back from Central Auto so I took my car elsewhere to get fixed, I need a car. I asked Keith to reimburse me for the repairs they had not done properly, and that I got done elsewhere because they did not call me back. Keith said I should have just brought the car in.....So he was too busy to call me back, but Im supposed to believe he was going to get my car fixed (after already doing it wrong once) right away? There are a lot of other shops to choose from in town, Id suggest one of them!

$94 just to tell me my battery is bad.$228 for battery replacement.WOw. Wichita desperately need honest mechanic shop. Taking advantage of people is just sad.#Disappointed.

Took my Altima in for diagnosis A/C not running. The shop mechanic said my compressor was bad. BAD? Whats bad about it? He reluctantly said the magnetic clutch to engage the compressor was bad. Since they dont repair those I would need a whole new compressor, dryer, expansion valve and perform a evac and recharge none of which I needed.. After speaking with the owner about the estimate he quoted me the following Service Description -compressor is receiving power and ground. recommend compressor, drier, expansion valve, flush system and evac and recharge. $1,800 in repairs. The compressor had technically not failed, It wouldnt engage due to a failed magnetic clutch which is external to the compressor. I chose to repair myself. I feel the shop owner was misleading in the paid diagnosis of the problem. He failed to mention exactly what was wrong and just summed it up to replacing my entire A/C system. IMO this is very dishonest practice to withhold that info. Very bad experience.

Communication was lacking, had to call to find out diagnostics were going to take a day longer then what was originally quoted. Fixed issues but speedometer is now off. Then was told they couldnt fix it I would have to take it to someone else but didnt even give a reference. Wish I could rate 2.5 stars
