We got what we came to get. The gentleman that assisted us was quite helpful, pleasant to work with and is a good reason to shop there again.

Very good place to go if you own rentals or looking for a cheaper appliance in lieu of expensing a new one. Wide selection and very friendly and honest experience.

If you want a cheaper appliance go to a big box store and get a dented unit. People here are nice and up front about these being used appliances. We picked out the fridge we wanted, had it delivered, stopped working within a few days then they exchanged it for something else. I’ve spent hours trying to make repairs to the GE we own. Ice maker is missing several screws, springs missing, runs incredibly hot. Not a place to purchase appliances for piece of mind. If you think you “need it now” I urge you to reconsider. Go online and buy new. There motto is “why pay more for new?” and the answer is obvious to me. This place is for cheap landlords who need to get disgruntled tenants off their back. Not a serious option for your home.

1 star really should not even be an option. I purchased a washer/dryer combo on 3/16/21 for about $600. It came with a 90 day warranty, all of their appliances have that tag on them. After about 2.5 months of having the washer, it stopped working. A tech came and checked it out, and told me to leave him a voicemail the next day letting him know if it was just one of the settings on the washer, or all the settings making it not work properly. I called the next day which was Friday, and left him a voicemail. By Wednesday the next week, no one had called me back. I called and spoke to Tommy. He claimed that they had tried calling me several times, which is not true. I receive every phone call and voicemail. Convenient that this company is the only person to EVER complain about not getting through to me...... Tommy let me know that the piece for my washer that I would need, is discontinued and I would need to pick out another washer for them to exchange it. I came in the store and picked out another washer. A few days later they came and delivered it on 6/16/21 (coincidentally, the day my 90 day warranty ended on the washer I originally bought from them). The second the technicians left, the washer made a terrible screeching sound, consistently. I could not even finish a load of laundry because of how horrible the sound was. I called back to the store, spoke to Tommy. I let him know I need another tech out ASAP and that I was very unhappy with this whole process. A tech came and fixed the issue today on 6/17/2021, and I have no ill feelings towards the techs, its the way this company is run and the fact that most reviews show how bad they are... But the kicker of it all is, when I called this morning to confirm that a tech was coming out to fix my now SECOND washer from them in a 3 month span, I asked for an updated 90 day warranty as this is a new washer, that needs to be under a 90 day warranty as well. I was told by Tommy, that I would not be getting a updated warranty because that isnt how it works and if that was the case, no ones warranty would expire..... YEAH, no ones warranty would expire because I know I am not the only one dealing with this many issues with them. So they came out and fixed the piece today, and I am told that I am basically out of luck if anything else happens, although it states NO where on my 90 day warranty that that INCLUDES washers that they are having to REPLACE due to it not working within 2.5 months of having it. I recommend NO ONE do business with them unless you want a constant headache.

Got a really sweet refrigerator for cheap. Great place to pickup budget used appliances. They check em out and make sure they work before sellin and even include a warranty which isnt a deal maker for me but really helped.

I was looking to sell my working Whirlpool Cabrio washing machine, so I did as their website said. I loaded it on my truck and took it to their store. The man in the store didnt even look at the washer, let alone evaluate it. He just said he wasnt buying. When I told him that that isnt what his website says, he got rude and basically said that the website doesnt guarantee that they will buy your appliance. In other words, too bad. Its true that the website makes no guarantee, but it implies they will buy it unless your appliance is on a recall list or has too many red flags. My washer isnt on a recall list, works, has only minor blemishes in appearance, and is a popular model. In fact, they had the exact same model for sale in the store. So dont believe the website and simply bring it in. Youll be wasting your time and effort. By the way, Pattys TV and Appliance evaluated my washer and bought it.Directly from Mid Americas website:We buy working AND non working appliances or can give you credit towards another purchase. Trying to sell a dryer sent pictures to the person in charge of sells. Took an entire day to respond just to tell me he wasnt really interested if I wasnt willing to take $150 for a practically new dryer. I asked about recycling the washer and was gonna buy another one from this company. This person has yet to respond. I feel that is bad business for someone who is looking to become a new customer. Now uninterested and would not recommend anyone to this place.

We had a few issues with the washer we purchased. Had to turn back the first one and a replacement was given. Few issues with the replacement washer but associates have worked with us on the problems and things have been and are getting resolved

Called last week to ask about pricing for selling my used matching washer/dryer combo. Explained everything in detail with the washer as it has an issue that can be fixed, dryer works, no dents, everything. The price estimate given over the phone was drastically different than the price offered. Was offered less than half of what I was told on the phone. Seems like the goal is to get you in so they can make the deal only so that they can offer you way less since youre already in store. They explained theyve had some issues recently when giving the original estimate, yet that estimate was made on Thursday last week. Not good business practices to operate like that. I could see a month difference making an impact on pricing offers but not a few days. He was nice and professional, just didnt appreciate the way it was handled as a whole.Edit: I told the person over the phone the model information for both and described the issue in detail over the phone.

Found exactly what I was looking for, quick, pleasant service.Edit: when the fridge was delivered and we got it set up, we found that the door didnt close properly and seal. We contacted Mid America who sent a repairman out. He removed the door, added a spacer and it works great, dood closes and seals. The fridge is cold and the freezer keep stiff frozen. We wanted a garage fridge, we got a great working one at a reasonable price.

Shopped several used appliance stores for a used fridge. The best prices on the nicest ones were here. They were great to work with and even offered a 90 day warranty. When we need any other used appliances we will skip the chase & go straight to Mid America Appliance next time. Highly recommend!

Purchased a refrigerator and stove with delivery from this establishment - to be honest, my initial impression was a good one. They gave me an estimated delivery time of 1-3 pm, and I asked if I could get a text or call 30 minuts prior so that I would have enough time to leave work and meet them. At 1:30 on the day of delivery, I called the store to see if I could get a better idea of a time frame as my afternoon was filling up quickly. I was told the owner went to lunch and was getting help to make deliveries but that they would be at the house no later than 2:30. I was fine with that, so was at the house at 2:30 - I called the store again at almost 3:00 and they hadnt even left the store yet. They get there at 3:15 (ish), Ive already had to rearrange a few appointments because I had based my afternoon off what I was told from them, and also wasted 45 minutes waiting on them. The delivery guys were great, very nice - but it was discovered that they didnt bring the right plug for the stove. He apologized and said he would bring it out the next day and just put it in the mailbox for me. I was fine with that. I still hadnt seen it by Friday (3 days later), so I called the store on Saturday and left a message for someone to call me - on the message I explained the situation. No call back. I call Monday - 6 days after delivery and I explain the scenario again to the manager. He then tells me they dont bring plugs out, he didnt get a request for such a thing and didnt know anything about it. Really quite rude about it to be honest. I dont know how their system is set up, I dont know the dynamics of their business, but one thing I do know, is that I will not be purchasing anything from them in the future. I will take my business where it is appreciated. Im sure this doesnt phase them at all, but hopefully this saves someone else from being treated poorly as well.

My daughter bought a refrigerator from Mid American appliance after the the 30 day warranty expired the refrigerator part stopped cooling. I called to have a repairman look at it I was informed because of the virus they werent doing on site repairs.they said they would pick it up for $45,00 and change for a diagnosis. Plus the cost to repair it labor+ parts. By the time they did all this it would be probably be around $150,00 they seem to be interested in working with me I would not recommend you to anyone. Excellent deal on used appliance! FAST delivery! 4 stars for that. ** Nine months after buying freezer, it broke down. When I called to get service, HA! I had to take it to them, no home service calls. No openings for 5 days, tho. And, if they could fix it, theyd keep it for 3 xtra days to make sure. This was 2 days before Thanksgiving. So, I called Able & Ready Appliance. Got it fixed that day with a years warranty.

I have purchased 3 washers and 1 dryer here. The staff is courteous, the store is clean and each trip has been a pleasure.I had an issue with my plumbing and they let me swap the washer I bought for a different one. They even picked the old one up and brought me the new one!Both of the men who delivered have been helpful and thorough.The manager has always given me helpful and accurate advice and he has made it clear that getting me the right solution is much more important than making a sale for himself.I never once have felt any pressure to buy or make decisions on the spot.

I called about getting a repair done on my dryer that quit working after 5 weeks. It was the second best dryer in the building when we bought it. They told me that I would get a call from a mobile technician on the next day. I called them back a week later and a confused or lazy sounding guy told me that they do not have mobile technicians.

I would highly recommend that nobody buys anything from this store. The customer service is horrible, the machines break down After a few months and then they tell you theres nothing they could do because theyre not under warranty. I will never do business with this company again.

Tried to buy a 400 dollar refrigerator and tried three different times to get a call back to final it but apparently my business wasnt wanted as I never got a call back. I would never buy anything there or recommend it. Customer service is most important to me and I didnt receive it.

Sales person met immediately at the door. Asked my interest in what I was looking for, showed me where to look around at, then left me alone to browse. When I was ready he was easily found. Paper work was simple & explained thoroughly. Time was set up for delivery & zI was done!

Pretty nice little scam... I mean business theyve got going here. Bought a dryer from here and motor died after only 5 weeks. Received no understanding or help to fix it or replace parts. You never know what you might get from this place... better to buy new or anywhere else. I would question the legitimacy of these good reviews/comments on this business... someone posts a bad review and same day, 2 or 3 good 5-Star reviews pop up after months of no reviews. Staff was nice and can only help so much... its clearly an issue of bad ownership and the owners terrible policies (especially in customer service). Gave my broken dryer back to them and was barely able to get it picked up without being charged (again, not the fault of the staff... owners direction/policy), so be careful about buying a 90 series Kenmore dryer from there... it might be the one I just returned.

Can you give 0 stars? I was really hoping I could. NEVER go to mid America appliance. Not only are they reluctant to work with you from the get go on price, condition history of the appliance, or warranty. But they dodge any issues you have until your warranty is up. I paid over $500 for a fairly new refrigerator, they offered a 90 warranty if I paid them an extra $40 to deliver it. So I agreed. Within 2 months, the freezer stopped working. They send out a very seemingly unskilled tech to take a look at it, determining that it was a bad compressor. A week later they show up to swap it out with a used replacement they found on eBay. A week later, the freezer stops working again. But this time they avoid my calls, only returning calls in the middle if the day knowing that I work nights and wont answer. They did this until today, conveniently when my warranty is up. So now Im screwed. I just want to warn everybody I know to not trust those scumbags.

Purchased a washer, dryer, fridge, and stove. Set up delivery for Friday February 7th and when appliances were supposed to be delivered they didn’t show up. Called the store and they said “Oh, sorry we thought you meant next Friday” got delivery moved to today February 8th and the installers were 3 hours late and when asked if they hooked up the water line to fridge they said yes. Fast forward 20 minutes and our kitchen floor is flooded because they lied about hooking the water up. So we called the store again and were told that per policy they never hook them up, and the installer said to the manager that, that conversation never happened. Then the manager said verbatim “Well I’m sorry for getting you a good deal, but if that’s how our employees are treated then I guess you’ll have to shop somewhere else”. 10/10 WOULD NOT RECOMMEND. I am very disappointed.

Dont buy any Frigidaire freezer from them. It may be the one I took back twice in five months and refused to have it fixed for us so that we could lose a full freezer of food for a third time. I was told we do the best with what weve got so you would probably be better served to go somewhere else. One star over rates the service you will get from here. I made the mistake of also buying a WP dryer which we have to reset to get things mostly dry. Steer clear.

The manager here is friendly and helpful, straightforward. I asked to test my stove before I bought it and they wheeled it to the back and plugged it in. They loaded it into my pick up bed as well. Over all, a good place. All sales are final, so keep that in mind. They do give a store credit, however.

My 2 roommates and I desperately needed and new washer. We came into the store 10 minutes before closing and still got great service. The salesman stayed late and helped us find what we needed as well as get the cost split 3 ways. All in all we were in and out of there in no time at all but felt very good about the purchase. Werent pressured to buy, no cheap sales tactics, extremely friendly. I highly recommend this location.

Husband got a stove and a fridge from here. Was skeptical because I had just been to the other store (on Douglas) but this store is NOT like that one at all. Really nice selection, really friendly staff. Have had no issues with the fridge and stove either (so far). We were so tired of having to pay to fill up a laundry card at our old apartment so we moved out! The only problem is that we didnt have a washer and dryer. After spending a good amount of time looking at overpriced new models, we came here and they had everything we were looking for, especially in terms of price. Tommy was absolutely fantastic and answered every question we had, and was willing to work with us on price, too! Would definitely recommend to anyone!

Washer we got was broken. The delivery guy was very respectful and top notch and very helpful. I was a little disappointed and discouraged because of the time that it took to get replaced of course we did have the memorial weekend to contend With and due to delays I had to wear basketball shortstop work a few times. however Overall satisfied after a few hiccups.

These dudes literally brought a fridge to my home, took it apart, couldn’t get it thru my doorway so they left and left their mess for the customer to deal with . Horrible customer service. Don’t waste your money on them. Edit to their answer: no. Your delivery men specifically said that if I called you they would come out and put it together after the door issue was taken care of. I had no problem with that. What problem I have is the manager being disrespectful and telling me I have to pay another delivery fee for a delivery they didn’t even finish. Nothing was wrong until the manager on the phone wanted to get lippy.

The purchase of the washer and dryer in February. Dryer was damaged after 32 days, I quickly contacted you through Messenger and they told me that nothing could be done because the warranty had passed. Now two weeks ago that the washing machine is damaged. I bought them in February ...

These people are horrible to deal with. I live out of town and purchased a used washer and dryer from them. They assured me both units worked but since I wasnt picking them up until 4 days later they would have a technician verify both units were in good working order. I get them home and neither of them work. Since I live out of town I specifically requested the units be thoroughly checked and I was assured they would be. The units come with a 30 day warranty but I have to load them up and take them back to the store for repairs. The only reason I purchased them was because they assured me they were in good working order to begin with. Since they miss represented the appliances as working when they clearly have serious problems; I request they come repair them at my home or refund my money and come pick them up. They declined to do either or make this right in any way. This store has 2 locations in Wichita and I would stay far far away from them unless you enjoy throwing away your money.

After reading all of the negative reviews about the service and the product, also all of the responses from the owners amazingly contradicts every customer as if they have never been responsible for any of their bad situations. I was going there today to get a washer, dryer and a refrigerator but the reviews are sending me a BAD signal so Im going to another place that I hope is better than they are. Lets see if the respond to this with another excuse instead of fixing there internal problems.

BUYERS BEWARE!! Horrible experience I went through with this company purchasing my stove. The company had my stove appliance over 30 days plenty of time to properly clean and address items needed as I was told this would be taken care of by the sales person. When I picked up my appliance I opened it to see it not been clean at all. This is unacceptable from a company if the want to do business right. Photos show the condition it was given to me in. Highly disappointed and they will not do anything to make it right.

Bought a Gas stove from them. It did not work. They traded it out for another.The oven died in a few week (right after the guarantee) and I kept finding bugs after delivery. Had my home warranty send someone out to look at it and it was infested with roaches. Had not had a single bug before they brought it.Watch what you buy. I bought previously from their store on Douglas and everything went very well.

The first dryer they brought was not working. The second one they brought was not working so they replaced a fuse and it worked. 2 months later, the dryer stopped working again. Please do yourself a favor, do not buy anything from these scammers. They get old defective dryers and try to sell it to you.When I stopped by their store to give a complaint about my experience, they did not care or bother to do anything about it. Do not buy anything from them.

Tommy (the GM) was absolutely amazing in helping me find exactly what I needed, a huge 5.6 cu ft washer and like a 7.4 cu ft dryer for only $600 for both, and both in excellent condition. Freakin epic deal for these name-brand appliances. He also looked at the picture of my washer/dryer plugs on my phone and determined that I needed a vent and decided to throw it in for free for me. As a young gal in my twenties, I asked a lot of blonde questions to make sure I understood how the machines work since Ive never boughten one before and he was super patient and very kind and helpful! Drop off and installation is only $35, so reasonable, and that price is for BOTH units. Cannot believe the prices here, absolutely unbeatable and total steals. Will definitely make this my first stop the next time I need something like this again, highly recommend these guys! Thanks, Tommy!

So long story short me and my boyfriend moved to Wichita and we were in DIRE need of a good washer and dryer! We purchased a set from a nice man on Facebook at a price that seemed to good to pass up. WELLL that set did not get even one use before breaking down and we could not get ahold of the original seller. SO we tried going to a used appliance store. Well several actually. Patties was not impressive nor was DTs. Old Town was way too sketchy and the prices at the Sears Outlet are crazy!!! Thats when we found out about Mid America Appliance way down in south Wichita after being referred here by the lady at Patties. We ended up getting a washer, a dryer, and a stove for almost the cost alot of other places charged for just one appliance! They even have a 90 day warranty and delivered our stuff for us the next day! Needless to say they got us out of a bind and we could not be happier.

Got a Kenmore washer and dryer 1 month ago, works great so far. No complaints.

Very poor customer service. I bought a fridge here and it worked, but the system to use the filter for the water and ice did not work. I called them literally 15 times over the course of a year trying to get them to fix it. They kept saying they would take care of it, but never did. Will never buy from them again - I dont know why you would choose to run your business this way!

Purchased dryer when delivered it was not leveled belt broke one week later. Was replaced. Appliances too expensive for used equipment but service call was good.

Had purchased from there delano location. Wich is now out of business. Had a washer start leaking all over our floor and shake like like there are rocks inside only after a month. Had a tech come out and told us that he would have our units swapped out. Still have nothing. The other store location told us that there is nothing they can do because we were out of warranty. The 30 day warranty is garbage, especially when we were explicitly told we had a 90 day. I hope this location goes out of business too. We are beyond furious. Will certainly purchase new units next time. Honestly I would trust a seller on Craigslist more than these stores.

DONT GO HEREI bought a fridge here and it stopped working right after the 30 day warranty period. We tried to get a hold of Mid America Appliance and they wouldnt do anything for us but offer for their service guy to come out (and for us to pay them more money). So we tried to have the service guy come out TWICE and he never called back (there was no way for us or them to reach him directly at that time because he didnt have a cell phone). So, we hired someone else to come out and look at the fridge. The entire back of the fridge was frozen solid and there was a PANEL MISSING that directs the flow of cold air to the fridge portion. It still doesnt work after getting the parts in, but theres nothing they can do for us because we have had it for TWO MONTHS and its their company policy. Dont make the same mistake we did!!!

You will need to make sure that whatever you purchase will work before it is delivered because I was told that I had to bring the stove back to the store for it to be repaired under warranty. That they did not make service calls if it is under warranty. Since I do not have access to a truck that means about $70.00 for pickup and delivery. Plus additional for gas line to be reconnected. Not worth the effort.

I financed a front load washer and dryer from this company in February 2014. The first week the dryer stopped working and I called them. They gave me all kind of excuses saying it was lint and etc. Finally in a month I got a loaner washer & dryer and told mine would be fixed. That didnt happen. Long story short It is now December 15th 2014 and I still dont have a working washer and dryer set. I have miss-matched washer and dryer and the washer doesnt work. This is my 4th set from them and they have fired or everyone that worked there when I got my original set has quit. I had brain surgery in November and I called time after time in October up until the day before my surgery (leaving voicemails) asking for an update on my washer. After I got home and was able to talk I called them again and now I was informed that the person I have been dealing with no longer works for the company and that if I want my washer serviced I would need to pay for it because the last lady zeroed out my account. I did not ask for my account to be taken care of, all I wanted was a working washer and dryer. I was promised I would get a set that worked and that I did not have to make any payments as of May 2014. This new guy basically said why am I complaining when I got a free set and was rude because they lost out on a few hundred dollars. I explained to him I never asked for a zero balance I cant help the fact that your employee did this for me, all I want is a working washer and dryer! He did not care that it has basically been a year and I still dont have a working washer and dryer. Nor the fact that I sold them my dryer to reduce the price on my set of which was not written down but they have my dryer. I am reporting them everywhere I can.

Sales staff seem nice. But after purchase, you realize its all talk. Had leak in Washer, came out once, after missing first appt....replaced drain hose . Week later, another leak. Made appt. No one showed up, called, or answered my calls. Had to go in, gave to face, to find out what happened. Given very poor excuse. Was rescheduled, and that appt was missed also

Technician was prompt, courteous, friendly and got everything set up in a timely manner.

I dont recommend this place they will rip you off if you give the chance. Make sure to tell them you want compensation for any appliance you may have them pick up from you before they pick it up. Scam artists.

Bought three appliances. Took two back within the warranty and they have both had the exact same problems since about a month after getting them back.
