I was at the local vet, Danada Veterinary Hospital when my dog was brought out to my car and my car wouldnt start. So two very nice young ladies, reception workers at the vet, came out to me and jumped my battery. I called Firestone in Wheaton and they said they could take me right away and my dog was allowed in the reception area and we sat while the work was done and Emily pulled out a tire for Wally to pose in and my battery was replaced and a few other items were pointed out as needing replacement and we researched our past repairs and realized it was time for these other replacements. It was a great experience!

0/5 would NOT recommend trusting these people with your car. I came in for an oil change and to patch a leak in my tire. I started experiencing random car troubles the next week, I’d be driving and the engine would shut off. Took a closer look to find the drain plug wasn’t tightened and basically all the oil had poured out of the underbelly of my car. This likely caused permanent damage to the engine.

My daughter ran over a bunch of glass just before returning to college. Brought the car in, they did a thorough check up of each tire and found no damage but cleaned the glass out of the threads all for no charge!I love these guys!

Probably going to end up taking this place to court. Brought in a car for a simple alignment. Then urgently recommended me to have over $2000 in repairs done and said they cant align the vehicle until this work is done, and almost all the things they recommended for me to get done had been replaced in the last 6 months which is how I knew these people are full of s#@%! This place predatory to those they think are ignorant of their own cars maintenance. Said my car was leaking oil. Had that fixed last week, said my car needed a coolant flush and new lines, had that repaired last month, quoted me at nearly quadruple the cost of a tire rod and control arm. Told me I needed spark plugs. I had a tune up earlier this year. Which my car doesnt need. Then said my tired were bald and quoted me $500 for 2 tires. I will say that again 2 tires for $500 I drive a maxima not a lamborghini. Just got home and took a look. Nearly all 85% of the tread is left. This place is a joke. Run for the hills from this place. Unless you like getting scammed from your hard earned money. I hope this place burns to the ground.

Highly recommend going here! Eric the store manager is very knowledgeable, friendly and most importantly honest. You dont have to worry about being taken advantage of and prices are very reasonable.

Oil would certainly have ben in their lot anywhere. After reading your comment, it made me nervous and I needed to see for myself.B: Your dipstick photo does not give any evidence at all. It has oil on it, yes it is a little low, however, it couldve been low because it was pulled out and checked while the car was hot, not cold and cooled down.C: Its probably most likely what happened through your hands by checking the dipstick hot which would display low oil and certainly would create a car to want to stall. (pressure issues).D: For an engine to have any type of permanent damage, it would have to run with 0 oil, creating a seized motor.E: Do some research before you start pointing fingers.F: Theres no evidence to support your claim. So as a loyal Firestone customer Ill continue to go there. Friendly advice: your negative comment stands out like a sore thumb next to all the positive ones, which makes it very not believable. Thats why I investigated the parking lot and didnt see any oil spillage. I know a little about cars and Im a female. New Management! New Management!It was very impressive to see every customer leaving well informed and satisfied with their experience as a result of the new manager Eric. As I was waiting for my car, I counted one customer after another asking multiple questions and receiving every possible solution to their needs within Firestone as well as outside Firestone if they desired to fix elsewhere. They all recognized right away he was the New Manager because his honesty and knowledge are hard not to notice. The customer service this manager delivers is very rare and is a pleasure to witness front stage. If you havent visited this Firestone for whatever reasons you may have had in the past, I would encourage you to return as you will not be disappointed. Eric also said he was doing all sorts of New Manager Specials to fit all customers needs while they where checking out, as well as upcoming sales events to save them even more. As I checked out, I let him know that he was very good at his job and whoever placed him there definitely made the right choice. Wow! What a pleasurable day I had. Thanks Firestone. He said Sundays are a very good day to visit the location because they are open and ready to rock on Sundays!

Today, Sunday February 21, 2021, has been one of the most wonderful and best days of my life.This morning at 6:30 am I went out to the garage to start my car. Battery was dead and of course, can‘tstart the car.I Googled “Battery replacement near me” and this Firestone shop on Butterfield in Wheaton came up. I read some of the latest reviews and they were very positive. Earlier reviews were not so complimentary. A couple of the most recent reviews announced this store was “Under New Management” and raved about the new manager “Eric”.Having been in retail over 60 years and in management for over 50+ years, I value excellence in management leadership skills at all levels of any and all businesses including Entrepreneurs.I called Eric and found a man who is intelligent, knows his business, listens to his customers on phone and in person, is patient, answers all questions, polite and just a total credit to Bridgestone/Firestone Company.Eric is not afraid of suggesting and/or recommending to the customer a service or an item that is beneficial now or at a later date. Eric helped me to have a wonderful and one of the best days of my life.All of my expectations were met and surpassed.Because of this and believe that your company wants to grow and expand by setting the Bar high I offer this suggestion:I highly recommend that Eric Pasquale be promoted to a position of a Training Manager where his business savvy can be taught to New managers and Old managers alike. The staff at the Wheaton Firestone are polite and helpful. They do a great job and the store is clean. They even followed up after I had been there with one of my other cars and because they took the time to call I schedule maintenance on my other car.

The first time I came to this Firestone I had a really bad experience, which was back in August. I had to come back for a tire issue and the service was soo much better. Seems like they got a new manager (Eric) which was helping me, he was extremely helpful in this visit. Carlos also helped me schedule an appointment for the issue I was having with my tire. I would definitely go back to this Firestone.

I have been to many car repair shops over the years and my experience at Firestone in Wheaton has exceeded the others. The new manager Eric was awesome. The staff worked over an hour and one half past closing time to finish my car even though I told them it was unnecessary!! They ran into some additional issues and didn’t charge me extra for them, unbelievable customer service!!! I cannot recommendation them enough!

Found a nail in my tire on memorial Day. Was surprised to find them open. Was in and out in less than 30 minutes.

Awesome place to go take your car. Very welcoming, the workers are so friendly they listen to you what u need done to your car. I dont feel pressured into doing anything that I dont need done to my car. They recommend stuff that needs to be done. Which I like. I would highly come back here. I went to other places and I didnt like how they handle things or people. Clean and organized.

While visiting here my tire pressure light came on. I located this Pep Boys and they immediately took care of my tires.They were friendly and did not charge me as they said this was a quick fix and to enjoy the rest of my visit.

I literally drove an hour and 15 minutes to come to this location. Amazing customer service and very honest work.

While many businesses and people are struggling in Covid times it should not mean that some try to take advantage of people but this appears to be what happens at this firestone location.  My 80 year old mother took her Lexus (42k miles) in for a check of a tire because a light showed low pressure and she had a nail in her tire.  What transpired after the tire being diagnosed was her leaving Firestone and paying an additional $1400 in recommendations by the sales person. I called this location and speak with the GM about the situation and he quickly put the Store Manager on the phone.  The rest of the discussion was him trying to justify the repairs and what that they did everything by the book and asked if she would like the work done.  To summarize, they communicated that based on the age and mileage that multiple items required attention, which my mom agreed to because in the spur of the moment she did not know the vehicle history. So this location rather than suggesting she take a moment and/or a list of suggestions and see if they had ever be done before doing the work, in my opinion took advantage of the situation and recommended multiple items be completed right then. So after talking with my mom about her experience in good conscious I cannot suggest a visit to this location. For the record the Store Manager was very agitated that I even questioned them on their approach and said she could have said no at any time…..so I guess in his opinion that makes the approach justified.

Excellent customer service. I had a flat that had to be replaced and only had 20 minutes. They helped me out right away so I could pick my daughter up from practice in time.

Poor communicationI made an appointment 5 days prior and dropped off my vehicle first thing in the morning. Specifically stated they were to correct the a/c issue and bypass the courtesy check, as Id been there recently and was not interested in any other services.Took me calling after 2.5 hours to get the tech to acknowledge that the diagnostic machine works some of the time and they hadnt looked at the car as a result. They had to drive it (at my urging) to another location to test it. Again, no follow up for another 1.5 hours, and when I called they had a list of other repairs they wanted to perform.These folks dont communicate, dont follow instructions, and dont make you feel like your issue is a priority.

Such a rip off of service. Had all 4 tires replaced. And in the 6 weeks since have been back 6 times for tire pressure issues. Have spent more time in that waiting area then I have sleeping the last week. Never again. Lesson learned. Only reason they get 2 stars is they price matched a low price we had been quoted. But I would have paid double to not have to deal with their incompetent service techs.

Fast honest courteous service

The service is great but don’t make an online appointment. I made an appointment for an oil change online and when I got there I was first told no then they had to honor my online confirmation but to call next time because online doesn’t know what’s going on in the store. I couldn’t wait and hour and a half for that so I rescheduled which is inconvenient but fine I just wish the company didn’t offer online reservations if they don’t mean anything.

I went here with my company leased vehicle a few months ago and I have decided not to return again. It took about 6 hours for an oil change. Not to mention the service tech was rude, he acted like it was a hassle to print out one piece of extra paperwork I needed to sign. Usually I get the opposite service when I bring in a lease because they know I will pay and if there are any add-ons they typically get approval to do so.

They tried to charge me something they didnt do! I found out at the last minute. Almost illegal!

This place is amazing - spoke with Mike regarding a battery issue and he squeezed us in close to close, fixed up my battery, and sent us on our way. Great experience and customer care!

Strongly advise you to not use this place. They charge you an ultra premium cost for extremely low quality parts. I was charged $450 for two front rotors and brake pads w labor (Honda accord) and within a week the rotors started to rust. I went back and all they said was ‘that can happen.’ I purchased premium rear rotors off eBay and went to a local mechanic got it all done for $150 and they’re still not rusting 3 months later.Also, they work on commission so they don’t really have your best interest at heart despite otherwise.

My brakes partially went out and I drifted into the shop. The service advisor, Emily, was extremely helpful. Got a free brake check and quote which seemed fair. Did not end up getting work done, as the labor charge was a bit high and the car was not worth the quote. 5 stars for the honest service and free brake check going on for the time being.

Always a good experience. The supervisor in the shop knows his stuff.

The Capone family is alive and well in Chicagoland. They do good work but their pricing and explanations are shady if Im being kind. I bring my car in, it has a flat the next day (they were MORE than happy to tell me it was the factories fault and charge me to repair it). I give them one more chance, they tell me one price then actually charge me $80 more and call it a misunderstanding. Go here at your own risk.

This people do what they wantI have a few badly oil changesI had to come back a few weeks later to get them fixed and tell me that I got it badly done when they are the ones that did it.I usually make sure to tell them when I do the appointment and when I get to the shop that I have limited time before I go to work and they always lie and take 2 hours to do an oil change when theyre not even busy.They never offer a discount or anything after their mistakes and make me lose my time.Not coming back.

I took my 2012 Mercedes c300 for back tires. I felt like something was wrong and went back to Firestone and they drive my car and said it was fine. Then I needed front tires in an emergency and absent mindlessly went back to Firestone. What a mistake. My car used to run smooth and very quiet. Now it’s bumpy and loud just like a truck. I don’t even enjoy driving the car anymore. Thanks Firestone for turning my Mercedes into a truck.

Dont go here. We purchased tires from the Glendale Heights Firestone just over a year ago the tires have just over 2,000 miles on them got a nail in one of the tires noticed it just down the street from the wheaten store so took it there. they looked at it said the tire couldnt be fixed at all and i needed to get a new tire and was quoted almost $300.00 they said they were giving me a good price cause I was a returning customer. Well I told them never mind we would take this somewhere else and get a second option. as this was just a small nail in the tread of the tire. so we returned to the glendale heights store 45 minuets latter and only $28.00 the tire was fixed So I asked why did there wheaton store try to sell me a new tire to witch he replied good question

I have been going to this Firestone for at least 10 years and I think it is a great Firestone – very trustworthy. Emily has always been super helpful and I would recommend anyone to this location. I still go there even though there are two Firestones that are closer.

I had a difficult situation with a repair to my older car. After investing in some repairs I experienced additional problems not immediately related to the original work. Jim was very helpful in determining the problem and helping to resolve the dilemma. It wasnt a win-win situation but he was very fair and understanding in a difficult situation where others could easily have been more hard-nosed. As a result Ill definitely be going back there for future service.

Manager was very understanding

Dropped my car off by appointment at 1pm for an oil change and tire rotation. They said it would take until 2:30. When I arrived they said they just needed to do the tire rotation. I saw them start that at 2:45. Took them until 3:30 to pull my car out. They didn’t apologize. Upon further inspection I noticed they also performed an improper tire rotation.

I always used to take my car to this location. They are over priced and are not a reliable source to get the job done right. I have been to this location 3 times in the past 2 weeks for the same problem. They “apparently” fix the problem but by the time I get home the problem is back. I will never go here again.

I am really lucky to have such a great Firestone franchise in the neighborhood. They always do such a great job and you cant beat the hours. I took my car there 15 mins before close late on a friday night for a flat tire and rotation and was out of there quickly. These people work hard and put in long hours dealing with the public. My family has been going here for years and I will as well. They also do great installation for Tire Rack if you go that route.

Amazing people. Gave fast and accurate review of my vehicle and checked for potential problems even if they werent bad enough to need immediate attention.

- 10 STARSLets start by saying Im a loyal Firestone customer for 18 years. I would never recommend or use this Wheaton firestone location!!! I have had three consecutive bad experiences. Three times now Ive called or stopped by with a car issue within the last year, and this time a nail in my tire and losing air. I was turned away because they had no time. I was completely disappointed in their decision to turn me away even after I said Id stay till the end of day. The Fox Valley Aurora location made time to get me in to repair my flat tire.

They were fast with an oil change that took them an hour and a half to do on a Sunday but that cost $74 bucks! Also we mentioned we had a headlight out and the guy was lazy and just pretended that there was no headlight out. On another occasion, we told them our windshield wipers needed to be replaced and they claimed to have run a streak test and they supposedly passed. You could hardly see with the wipers if it was raining... Basically all around lazy and overpriced.

We bought tires from Firestone and paid extra for the lifetime rotation and alignment. The first time we took our SUV in for an alignment and rotation, we realized once we got home that there was a missing lug nut. We had to got to another (closer at the time) Firestone to have it replaced.The second time we had out tires rotated and aligned, we realized later that one of the lug nuts was actually broken. At this time, we took the SUV to the dealership to have this fixed. We moved to another city and took the SUV into a firestone to have the tires rotated and aligned and realized that the wheel lock key is actually broken.So this Firestone location used the wheel lock key to rotate the tires, broke the wheel lock key, and without telling us, they put it back in the SUV. Now, its time to rotate the tires and we cant because the wheel lock key is broken. This is not good business at all. I would not recommend taking your car to this location.

They have done a reasonably good job the few times I have taken my vehicle there. Its like any business, they are not perfect but, they did go the extra mile for me and made things right, when they werent.

I applaud you, there are VERY FEW people that still provide small town service/care in a big city. Last week I went in for an oil change and for whatever reason (rookie automechanic) decided to drain my transmission fluid by accident. This is a huge deal because my car is German and has over 150K miles on it. Transmission fluid flushing is extremely delicate procedure in German cars and requires precise conditions and amounts otherwise the transmission will FAIL. Furthermore its rarely done unless absolutely necessary. So you can see my horror when I heard of this blunder.Mike ( the manager/supervisor) took on the responsibility of making everything right. He took care of all costs, sent my car to a transmission specialist, ordered a rental vehicle for me for the days my car was in the shop, and went out of his way to align my steering and replaced fused signal bulbs. This is a classic example of how a bad situation can turn out to be a very positive one! As a regular at this Firestone, I will continue to do business with Mike and this Firestone for years to come, as they were honest and corrected a mistake they admitted without any hesitation.

Beware! They may try to charge you for nonsense. I went in to have an alignment check under a lifetime alignment package I have with Firestone. They noted I needed to replace an upper control arm/ball joint. I ended up buying the part myself and sourcing a certified mechanic elsewhere to have the work done at a fraction of the cost FS quoted. I then brought my vehicle back for the alignment, they insisted the camber adjustment bolts needed to be swapped around to properly align the vehicle and wanted to charge me $60 to do it. I took a look at the bolts myself and they matched the other side and DIDNT NEED TO BE SWAPPED AROUND! Took my vehicle to the Firestone off Butterfield road and they took care of the alignment without one mention of adjusting anything for an addition charge. WATCH OUT FOR THE SERVICE CONSULTANT!

I would not recommend anyone to take their car to this location.KEN who is one of the staff is very RUDE and shows ATTITUDE.I dropped my car to replace my broken Alternator, he said it is going to take 60-90 minutes but havent received a call for 2 hours. After calling couple of times finally they got my car ready after 4 hours.After replacing the Alternator, my car is still choppy during cranking and when i went back to ask him(KEN) about it he was VERY ARROGANT and RUDE in answering my questions. He says i may need to change my BATTERY but the battery test report says it is OK. I dont think they do not know what they are doing.

This place has gone downhill! The staff has completely changed over the last year or so an one of the people working the counter is some ditzy just out of college girl who doesnt know her butt from a hole in the ground! She quoted me a price of $530 dollars to install rear shocks on a 76 Cadillac. When I told her something was wrong with that quote she told me that it was 2.5 hours labor and that the price was correct. I called the other Firestone on Monroe Road and they quoted me less than $200 dollars! The only thing that keeps me going there is the fact that I have lifetime alinement. Otherwise I would never go back.

Call the phone number on Google. Press 1 and talk to a guy that says they can fit me in but Ill have to drop it off.Get there and they act all confused saying no they cant fit me in. So I have a leaking tire that needs to be fixed and just wasted 30 minutes of my time (and my wifes time who followed me to pick me up)Apparently they have some kind of phone number that connects you to the nearest store or a random store after you call their # and press 1.Pro tip, make sure you ask which store youre calling before you hang up.I wont because Ill never call them again after today.

The technicians take good care of my vehicles.

Went in there due to a screw in my tire and they changed it with no problems for about 20$. Told me that there were various other things wrong with my car such as my bearing being broken and this was very dangerous to drive so I should get it repaired ASAP. Told them no and took it somewhere else, nothing is wrong with my bearing. This was per the manager and the mechanic trying to get me to get things I did not even need. Will never be returning.
