Perhaps the sales person who helped me today was new to the store since the time the other reviews were written, but unlike them, I had a very good experience. Her name is Vicki. She walked me through a sewing project, making sure I had everything needed for the job. She was courteous, and helpful making several useful suggestions, and made me feel she valued my business. Memo to management: please use this woman to train your employees! I cant comment on the other employees in the store because this was my first visit since Hancocks closed its doors on nearby locations and this is a long drive for me but well worth it, as it turns out.

Ive always found the staff extra helpful for finding stuff or providing advice on how to make a pattern. Theyve also reminded me about the extras like thread, elastic, etc that I might need for my project.I only shop here, instead of Jo Anns - where they offer 40% off only on regular priced items, then put everything on sell for 5% off so they dont qualify. Sorry, want to spend my money at an honest business.

The women who work at this store have been bitchy for YEARS. its not new.[ was kicked out of the store in jr. high, for attempting to buy an entire roll of velvet ribbon. they didnt want to measure it, and they didnt want us to buy it. we were asked to leave.]however, the section is good. and unlike Jo-Ann, you dont need to take a number to get fabric cut [or wait 30 min.]. you can get in and get out quick. avoid the people who work there as much as possible, and its not a bad place.also, did have a good experience at a sewing class there- as a high school student. it was not a childrens sewing class.

The sale associates are knowledgeable, courteous, and very helpful. The store is neat, clean and very well organized therefore makes it easy to find any and everything you may be looking for to start as well as finish any project.

I bought the cutest fleece for a baby blanket from Hancock Fabrics and after I started it, I noticed that the material had flaws in it. I couldnt cut it down because the blanket would not be big enough nor would it look very good. I emailed to Hancock Fabrics customer service regarding the flawed material and received a very nice email back, well within a reasonable time, from Jim Chisholm, a customer service rep. He was very apologetic and wanted me to return the material. The material was already a blanket so he told me he would replace the material at no charge. Now thats what I call customer service. This makes buying online a much more pleasurable experience and I will continue to purchase from Hancock Fabrics for my sewing needs. Thanks Jim!
