Went there for some ammo and a pair of boots. Ammo supply was lacking, of course thats how it is these days. Looked at the boots and the selection was good but lacked size I needed. My wife was able to find some new work shoes and the price was good compared to other stores. If they would have had my size in the boots I wanted it would have been 5 stars!!

Purchased a pair of Nikes I saw advertised online. I had to ask someone at the front desk to help me in the shoe department, but they were nice and immediately grabbed what I needed. I left with shoes in hand and what I felt was a great deal!

Beautiful selection of winter boots, as I found a pair that can withstand -40 F, for only $65, and I was delighted with the wonderful and business-friendly staff who helped me to find boots that also fit my feet well.

Staff is very helpful, prices are fair, however many items on sale always and Big 5 offers all veterans a 10% discount on top of the sale price.

Manager was great the younger cashier tried to make me wear a mask even though I told her that I was exempt she tried the its store policy. I explained that the Federal Laws for the American Disability Act over ride any local government policies and that they can get fined $150,000.00 for them violating my rights! So the Manager said try to keep social distance! Good Manager!!!

They lost a sale because of the chunky salesman in the shotgun department. He did very little to help or answer any questions my wife and i had about a shotgun. I went to Bass pro and spent the extra $700 on the FN shotgun, only because of customer service. The women was very helpful and nice, but they need to get rid of the fatboy asap.

The selection is great and the staff very helpful. They know their merchandise. We were buying shoes and the salesperson made several trips to make sure we had a shoe we liked and fit well.

Pretty annoying that half of the stuff they sell doesnt have a price tag, and the deals they advertise arent loaded into their system. I was charged full price for something marked as an in-store special and the cashier didnt care enough to verify the actual price, so I didnt buy it. They clearly dont care.

Jade wasnt very helpful. Clearly doesnt know what Big 5s policies concerning returns, exchanges, and sale items/sale price. Needs more training before she is let loose as a store manager.

When I walk into a business I dont expect to be asked if l know exactly what I want to buy without at least a hi, hello, how are you today. As a long time (15 years) small retail business owner I understand you guys want to close on time but that was the rudest greeting I have had in a long time maybe ever. I get it you guys close in 5 minutes but I did know what I needed. Maybe next time a hi how are you today? Just so you know we close in 5 minutes can I help you find something? But maybe I dont know anything about CUSTOMER SERVICE.

They wouldnt let me return defective merchandise or even exchange it at the price I purchased it for. I had the tags but not the receipt. Im starting to wonder if I ever got a receipt for the purchase as I always save receipts for business expenses, which this was. The item was now on sale for half the price I paid for it and thats all they were willing to credit me for

The Wheat Ridge store is so lucky to have an associate like Jayd on their staff! She is bubbly, helpful, and seems to love her job. This is great to see and experience when shopping in person. Was happy to find what we needed for my grandsons. Helmets and knee pads. However the sales rep wasnt to helpful in asking about sizes for the pads as theyre almost 3 and the other is 4. Didnt make sense they would both be in the same size. Pretty much shrugged his shoulders.

The manager and employees were too busy discussing the new dress code to acknowledge us. Finally got someones attention to help but the constant bickering/discussion continued. DISCUSS CORPORATE POLICY WHEN CUSTOMERS ARE NOT AROUND. I dont care if you plan on buying black Vans to follow to the policy or if youre employee will be transferred if they dont adhere. Only reason for 2 stars is the manager was friendly after we got his attention.

This place is pretty cool. It has a decent selection of clothing, outdoor and hunting supplies. They didnt have the specific type of pants I was looking for, but did have some excellent sales going for their pocket knives. I was able to get a great knife at a great price. The salesman was a really nice guy and helped me as much as possible. I will come back to Big 5, not a bad place to shop.

Staff here is always helpful. They are eager to help you find items you are looking for even of it means searching in the back. We have several times purchased large oversized items and they gladly assist with loading into our vehicle.They have awesome deals on practical items, sign up for emails!

Big 5 Sporting Goods is always good for me. Even when I dont buy anything I enjoy shopping there because the prices are reasonable and they have a big variety. I have bought many items there but mainly shoes and boots. All the locations have great sales but when you get in on a clearance its just fantastic. I recommend Big 5 Sporting to anybody of any background. You may not find exactly what youre looking for but it is fun just to visit.

Always a good place to find sports items quickly, tennis balls, golf balls and anything in between. Not high end stuff though if thats what youre looking for. Staff is always friendly and helpful, if you ask.

Not happy with this place. I was in desperate need of 2 plain black football jerseys and it was only 2 hours before my sons game. So I went online and verified if they had it in stock. According to their website, it said it did. So I went to the store to see if I could pick them up. The manager said they weren’t in season so it was in the back. They said that they can’t get them for me because they didn’t have enough staff members to watch the floor. He said this as I was looking at 3 different employees standing in a group just making small talk not counting him. If it’s a you have the inventory online then you should have no issues selling it to customers. That’s why they are there, to sell their inventory to the public. Needless to say, Dicks sporting goods was more than willing to put aside what I needed and have it at the register for me to just pick up. They did what they had to in order to get my business.

Here you will find everything you need regarding outdoor sports and activities! I love that there is always variety in their products, the people who work here are quite nice and do not hesitate a second to help you if you need it.

Customer service was horrible, especially the mean old guy that was trying push us out and hurry us up. During Corona hours they are supposed to be open until 830 and were kicking us out of the store at 800. They were very rude to me and my daughter who just needed a belt for softball. We will not be coming back to this store again!!!😤

I love Big 5. They have a wide variety of sporting goods. If an item is not on sale, just wait a week or two and it will be. Their shoes seem to wear out super fast, so stay clear of them. That is for adult shoes, children shoes might last.

What I like about Big 5 is the wide range of activities that they have equipment for...from ping pong to fly fishing. Maybe there is better equipment available, but they have the right gear to get you started it whatever sport you decide to do. I like this location because its not usually crowded and the staff is pleasant.

Not to great of an experience, none of the employees knew anything. every item that was in the ad, we had to ask more than one person where they were... This is pretty much on all our visits to big5. Then they are always OUT of the merchandise on sale from their ad.

This was my first visit to Big 5. It was okay - small and easy to get in and out of, but a little too small when youre really needing a sports store. We went in because we needed a particular item for hunting and didnt want to drive across town to Sportsmans Warehouse. Its cool they even have a hunting section, but its very limited, so we still had to go over to Sportsmans.

The store was a little understaffed (to be expected right now though), but the manager was very helpful.
