They DO NOT answer the phone and when in person they make you wait as if you have all the time in the world to be there. Customer service is horrible.
They charged me $20 for 4 gal of gas for 1/16th of a tank. Little steep. Make sure everything is perfect or they will screw you over. Or just rent from Penske, much better company.

My experience at this facility has been mostly pleasant. The manager Cameron Chamber treated me with much courtesy and respect from day one. Then when I got ready to vacate my storage unit I lost my key and they gave me a discount for removing the padlock. I must also mention Daniel Desmond who was responsible for removing the lock (I didnt realize how difficult it is to break those padlocks), but he did it! While providing great customer service. So, kudos to both Mr Chamber and Mr.Desmond for making my experience a good one to remember and will definitely recommend their store rental and storage needs. Thank you!
I wish I could give this location zero stars. I walked in to the center to find a customer not wearing a mask inside. I decided to wait outside, its not my business to tell someone what to do. I saw a worker in the bay he also did not have a mask on, I said excuse me, I wanted to let him know I was waiting outside. He yelled at me to go inside, I tried to explain I was uncomfortable inside. He then screamed go inside and wait, Im helping someone. He was talking with a worker and laughing, not sure how much helping of someone else he was doing. I continued to wait outside. I see that the worker is now inside, still no mask on. I opened the door and tried to explain Im uncomfortable inside because now he and a customer dont have masks on. He slowly put his mask only over his mouth staring at me the entire time in a very intimidating manner. I explained the nose is part of the respiratory system. He then proceeded to say Whats your problem. At that point I left. We are in the middle of a pandemic, masks are mandated by the state. How can I trust someone to get into my car, drive it into the bay and install the item I already purchased. Additionally who speaks to people so rudely. I will never step foot in that location ever again. When customer service called the person also claimed to be the manager, Dan Desmond. I am unsure if he was the actual manager, but if it was you should be ashamed how you run your business.
Been trying to cancel my unit for 2 weeks. They never answer the phone and never call back. They are still billing my credit card and charging me for the unit even though I requested the unit be closed over a week ago. I called uhaul customer service and they will not help me either because they cannot contact their own location. I will never do business with them again. This is a horrible depressing experience. They take your money and refuse to stop.
Giving this place a star is overrated the customer service from u hal itself was great, however the actual facility was a nightmare the manager Dan Desmond,did everything in his power to ensure we had the WORST MOVING EXPERIENCE possible. He went as far as having someone come and tell me that they had been following me watching me and that the truck was reported stolen after first trying to say my card was denied due to insufficient funds but at the same time I had just received a text confirmation that the payment was made and my new return date was such date. I received one message from a n employee stating they were going to take matters to an escalated level. Somewhere mr Desmond is not aware that payments are made and my time was extended. So I did here on the bumper of my uhal because of this person who claimed hes with the uhal recovery department and uhal doesnt take lightly to non payment usage . He also made it clear the police are on their way . After contacting uhall 1800 number I was assured once again that there was not an issue. I was given Mr Desmonds cell number by uhal customer service. And left him another message bc once again he did not feel obligated to answer.he also stated that when calling me he went straight to voicemail.this is correct I was speaking with the uhal resentitive at the time which she also tried to reach Mr Desmond who did not answer at that time either...how did this guy become a manager? And is this the representation uhal wants for their company? I plan to post the outcome tomorrow

I picked up a one way rental truck at this location. The owner helped me at the counter. He was personable, quick and efficient. He added miles to my contract because I was going a long distance and might have to change my route due to weather. He offered this, I didn’t ask but it was very much appreciated because it was something that I was concerned with. The other staff member I had contact was just as pleasant to deal with. Recommend.
I needed to do some moving and the General Manager Dan helped me with the process. He was very professional, and the place was covid-19 sanitary. I received a great deal and plan on returning for future business.Thanks U-Hauland Thanks Dan👍👍
Kinda wish they didn’t skip us twice to install our auto transport since we all have places to be. They ended up being nice and respectful but waiting outside watching people who got here after us be helped and go on their way was a little sad :( I appreciate that they weren’t petty when we showed how frustrated we were and they made sure our truck was secured.
Disappointed. Scheduled an appoinment online and paid for hitch and installation fee. Came to appoinment date and time and they said the person who installs the hitch is not there on that day. I have to reschedule for another day. Wasting my time and a trip there. Will not recommend this location. If I havent paid, I would not come back.
These guys are awful !!! I was quoted a price for work to be done on my truck and they tried to charge me triple when I showed up. Please avoid this place, they are not honest. Dan the manager was absolutely terrible!
Rented a 15 ft truck . they put several charges on my card. But I paid cash! Have recipe to prove it. Going to my bank to have it put back in my account.Pretty rude people there!
I want to give a big shout out to Erik for his help with me yesterday!! Of all weekends to decide to buy a couch at Costco on Labor Day weekend and need a truck. After feeling lucky enough that there was anything available when I called, I got a van which I thought had plenty of space to fit a couch. I was incredibly wrong so I headed back to U-Haul praying there would be a larger truck available for me. Erik was my angel!!! He had a 10 foot long truck that was perfect for me! Thank you so much!!!

My experience with this Uhual over Westminster location was horrible (7422 Garden Grove Blvd, Westminster, CA 92683), do not rent your truck there. I was moving on Sunday when the truck that my husband and I rented broke down, first I called customer service number and it took more than 1 hour for them to answer my call (this was the roadside assistance number listed on the contract) Thank God I was not in a dangerous area with the truck broken, we had to wait more than 4 hours for the mechanic to show up to look at the truck and saying that nothing was wrong with it. Really nothing wrong? How come the truck did not start 4 hours ago??? Then I called the 1800 number again to request to deliver the truck in a location closer (note this was already more than 12am) customer service made us drive all the way back to Westminster which was about 25 minutes to go drop it off the truck. We dropped it off the truck, we were extremely exhausted after all day moving, so I decided to call the store manager over that location to explain what happened with the truck. First I’ve been trying to call the store and the phone only rings, so I decided to call the 1800 number AGAIN to explain the situation, of course I was on hold AGAIN for another 40 minutes, and then customer service told me that they were going to send an email to the store manager. Never heard back from the store manager about this email, so I decided to call the store today AGAIN and then finally an employee answered and forwarded my information to the store manager Anthony. Anthony called me so I explained the situation; I was under the impression that he did not believe that the truck was in fact broken? Really you are not believing in your customers and not caring about their experience with your vehicles? Did you really think that we made up this story just to call a mechanic over to hang out or something after a freaking FULL day moving? We were extremely tired and all we wanted to do was to return the vehicle after a moving day that became a Nightmare I am beyond disappointed with Uhual customer service team in general from the 1800 number to the store in Westminster, you guys should have more compassion with your customers and care more about their safety with your vehicles!!
Erik Peterson was awesome!! Knowledgeable, professional and friendly. Location is good, store is well stocked and equipment well maintained. Rates are great and they are very accommodating. Highly recommend this location.

Worst customer service I have ever had at a Uhaul place at this Garden grove location (7422 Garden Grove Blvd), I rent uhaul trucks all the time cause of my work so I found this location as the closest to me but the service is horrible and the guy behind the counter is rude and has bad attitude. No clue how this place is in business. Found 2 other locations within a mile and much better service. Highly not recommended

Sooooooo many thanks to Brian!!! I came in and they didnt have a truck available but he didnt stop looking and just 5 mins after I left I received a call that a reservation ha been made for me at another location. He didnt have to go out of his way to help me but he did and I am super grateful.Side Note: The location I was sent to was also amazing. Very nice, very helpful and even waived the fees when I returned the truck a little late.All in all, they made what was a very stressful situation much easier to handle.

Trailer wiring was faulty on the truck I rented. Did not find out till I hooked up my trailer 15 miles away. I had to rent another truck close to where my trailer was. Took the faulty wired truck back and was charged for full day plus mileage. You would think a discount would be offered but I was surprised when they charged me full price plus.Goes to show you how well their service department operates.Needless to say I will not take my future business to this location.

Fantastic, car broke down near freeway and they helped us once we babied the car to their parking lot, incredibly nice, couldnt be more helpful.
Talked to some lady about a trailer hitch. I am 65 years old and she had the most condescending attitude I have ever encountered. Talked to me like a 4 year old. This place will never see my business.
