Love my neighborhood nursery! They always have everything I need and answer all of my questions :)

Such a cute place. The staff is so friendly and helpful. Plants were very healthy. Most of the usual plants were there but a few more rare plants were there too. Some really cute pots too.

Friendly and knowledgeable employees. A+ Highly recommend to anyone looking for a nursery.Needed to find a good local nursery, liked the idea of supporting local business vs Lowes. Had a great experience at Hilltop. We knew generally what we were looking for, how much sun different parts of my yard get, etc. Was offered to be helped after a couple minutes of browsing. The woman who helped up was fantastic, taking in all the details of what we were looking for and helping stir us towards some choice plants. The whole store was on sale and prices were very good. 4in starers were 4 for $15. Larger potted plants were $8 each.Side note: It started to downpour while we were checking out and another employee got his umbrella from the back and helped us load up the car. Very friendly people.

I went in there Sunday morning looking to start a butterfly garden and was helped by the owner with a correct start to the garden. She took the time to show me which flowers would work and would bloom and which I am better off leaving alone. She also showed me several container displays/ideas. I went to another local nursery earlier in the week and was basically left to wander the lot alone to figure out what I needed and where everything was.The prices were great and I was able to pick up 7 plants to begin on my butterfly garden.Will definately be going here before I go anywhere else moving forward.

This is my favorite nursery on my side of town! I can always find seeds, seedlings and house plants, usually more than I need! Just picked up some pumpkins for Halloween!

They have Hatch Roasted Chile! Yes, thats right. Fresh roasted and tasting so good! Friendly and helpful staff. They even let me use the employee only bathroom. Gotta love them for that!

What a wonderful local business! A friend and I went in searching for a new house plant. The staff was so friendly and helpful. The selection of pottery was very unique. I was able to choose a small Tradescantia Nanouk in a cute little green pot. Highly recommend!

I love the flowers here. Yes they are pricey but most nursery’s are. Catch them when they have a sale!! The girls who work here are very helpful but a bit condescending if you don’t know a lot, but maybe I would be too if I had to deal with people all day?? But overall it’s got a good vibe.

Love this place, the staff are always kind and helpful no matter who is working or how busy they are. I wish I knew names but there is one particular woman who was wonderful when helping me find plants that are non toxic to cats.. they always seem to go the extra mile!

I love this cute little plant shop! I’ve found some gorgeous variegated houseplants there and am consistently pleased with their selection. They are more affordable than some of the other larger local garden centers and I always leave with at least one plant I’m super excited about. My only complaint is they close so early on weekdays, but since I work a few blocks away that probably saves me money since I can’t go as often ;)

Prices are high. For certain special plants I get, but the standard plants are nuts. Recent visit of my son who loves plants went in and was treated very rudely. Not sure the owner isnt used to young buyers and prejudged him or what. But he has bought there before. After his question about Mothers Day and her snappy attitude, we are done with this place.

Honestly don’t understand the stellar reviews :/ I went here and most of the outdoor plants were dry and crunchy. The indoor ones looked great, but outdoor ones really needed some TLC

I went here because the other big garden store closed permanently. This is the best garden store Ive been in . The employees are very knowledgeable and friendly . And treat the customers very well !! Has a far better selection than Lowes or home depot. And prices are good as well 👍

Prices are a little steep but they have an amazing variety of product and very friendly staff! They are also able to re-pot your plant for you on site if you purchase a pot for no extra cost. Also make sure to check out the butter, jams, pickles, and soup mixes by the register!

Great little local nursery. Staff was excellent. Answered my many questions and gave suggestions. They are getting ready for the spring planting season. Stop in and get your flowers and plants. I left with a beautiful full potted plant. Thank you.

We shop for all our gardening needs and indoor plants here! Great selection of pots this year as well as many more houseplants. The staff is always knowledgeable and helpful. We have fairly extensive flower gardens in our yard and we find a good selection here for both bedding plants as well as pots.

I’ve been to Hilltop a couple times in the past year to buy seeds and starters for our outdoor garden and to buy some houseplants. They have such a wide selection, their starters did so well in our garden (even though I’m still trying to figure out how to garden), and the woman who helped me was so knowledgeable and I left feeling very confident about how to care for my new houseplants. Thank you! And excited to be back soon!

Very knowledgeable about house plants and great customer service, but they are definitely pricey compared to a few other nurseries.

My fiancé and I bought a house in May and now that I finally have the light I need for houseplants I was looking for a nice store near me. I am just a stones throw away from Hilltop Gardens and I love them! Super cute little shop and they have an impressive selection for anywhere but especially given their smaller size. Not all of the plants are labeled all the time and every fern looks exactly the same to me but they always have friendly staff who can walk you through the plants and give you a run down on their care. I have bought at least 5 house plants from them in the last several months and they have all been good quality and healthy, no issues with bugs or dying plants. I will continue to go here until I run out of room for plants!

It’s such an amazing place! the customer service is awesome and they are so kind! the plants aren’t dying in there because they take such good care of them. the other nursery’s ive gone too has dying plants everywhere but this one doesn’t which is so nice! their plants are so unique and awesome. i come here every week because i honestly just love them so much :)

Amazing service! My boyfriend and I were driving by and randomly decided to check this place out. And I’m so glad we did! The staff was so helpful and kind. They went above and beyond for us. They had a great selection of plants and everything was very well taken care of.

My first impression, when I pulled into the parking lot was, woo hoo! There was a sign on the entrance that read: Masks Required. I was very happy to see that. The person I spoke with was very nice and equally as helpful. I had several questions about plant care, and she was able to answer all of them. And their selection of plants and flowers was unique, which was even better. I will be a returning customer for the years forward.

During COVID, I cant go inside. I really needed to pick up a pitcher plant though, and Hilltop via phone, text, and curbside pickup, accommodated my needs beautifully. As long as I live in the Denver Metro Area, these guys are top of my list.

Updated review. Customer service has tanked here. THIRD time in a row that we’ve been into the garden center and no one has acknowledged us, said hello or asked if we’ve needed any help. I’m not asking for a red carpet, just a “hello, welcome in. Let us know if we can answer any questions” JUST TODAY at 11am, Three (all new, since we started coming in) employees standing around, chatting with each-other. NOT ONE PERSON SAID HI!No one seemed to have any knowledge of plant care. Today, my wife interrupted their conversation to ask about care for a specific plant she wanted, none of the employees were sure and suggested we google the plant name for care instructions. NOT ONE OF THE THREE GIRLS COULD SNEAK AWAY AND GOOGLE IT, GIVE SOME BASIC INFO????Last time we were in, all customers were being told they needed to check with Janet/Jean (I’m not 100% of her name. I know it started with a J) or a tall young man.Plants/pots are still over priced compared to neighboring mom and pop garden centers.A GIANT PLUS - The location is convenient and the selection for indoor/outdoor plants, tools, pots is terrific! Just come prepared for a cold greeting if any & google handy to search for any answers if Ms. J or the young man aren’t available.Previous review: Love this place! I’m new to the area, and have been coming here since moving to CO.Great staff! Knowledgeable & nice variety of plants.The only negative is that prices have gone up over the last few months. I’ve noticed that things are $3-$8 more expensive than other nurseries in the area. I.E. a pot at hilltop is $12 & the EXACT pot is $7 at another local nursery. What gives??????

Great selection of plants to choose from. They have everything from bags of soil and mulch, to grass seed and fertilizers, to some cool things to add and use in your garden. The only down side that I have really found so far is that when it is busy, the parking lot can be a little bit of a pain, but other than that its a great place to find what you need for your garden

Im very disappointed,I have stopped twice, I spent about 45 minutes there each time and not one employee spoke to me! Not hello, can I help you, nothing. I watched another woman ask for a price on a hanging plant and the employee snapped at her, its right there!! It used to be such a great place. I like to support small businesses. But if there us no service, Ill go to the big box store, its cheaper.

Ive been buying my Christmas Tree from Hilltop Gardens for 30 years. I always buy a Frazier Fur on the first Saturday after Thanksgiving. With regular watering it stays fresh well in to January.

The staff here is so nice and very helpful. I love their decorations for sale, especially at Christmas. This place always has a homey feel to it and they have a very good selection of plants and vegetables and things. I think they put a lot of care into their store. Always a happy visit when we go there. I really recommend this nursery.

Such a cute little place close to home! Prices are fair, and plants are well taken care of. Took home a sensitive plant, two 2in mican philodendrons and a variegated jade plant for $28! Not the biggest selection of house plants but you’ll definitely walk out with something 😉 I’ll definitely be back!

I just moved into the area and happened to find this nice, locally owned garden center. The staff was very helpful in assisting me find a colorful selection of plants! I also discovered they sell local produce in their store -- so no need for me to travel a distance to a farmers market. The produce was great -- I will definitely be supporting this business!

I love Hilltop! Even when I didnt have a garden, they were my go-to for fresh produce in the summer, especially corn and peaches. Now that I DO have a garden, they have been unfailingly helpful. Yes, the selection is small, but its mostly from local growers, so has a really good chance of working out in our difficult climate. I was testing ground covers last summer, and the ones I got from Hilltop were the only ones that survived my mistreatment and came back after the winter. Exactly what I need!

I am giving a bad review, because I feel the place is misleading. Those shopping here could reasonably assume that their vegetables were organic. Although the website specifies that the herbs are organic I have asked if the produce was organic on two different occasions. Both times the answers from staff was I dont know How do you not know?? Second when I asked where their produce comes from, I was informed that their tomatoes come from a place in Grand Junction. Thats not my idea of local, the store is in Westminster. There are a ton of gardens surrounding that area, why not utilize their products?May as well just shop at a regular grocery store.

I have to disagree with the previous bad review, Over the years since they opened we have bought hundreds of plants and merchandise from Hilltop, the products are as described and the staff are knowledgeable and helpful, they even carry your items to the car for you!
