Gardiner Wolf Furniture has a wide variety of home furnishings for any style preference and every room. Items are available in broad range of prices. A salesperson approached us in a timely manner and made sure we saw everything that would meet our needs for an electric recliner with power lift. We looked at dozens. She gave us opportunities to look and compare on our own.We found several chairs we liked but they were above my cost point preference. Therefore, the salesperson advised us of upcoming sales events. We plan to come back for a Black Friday sale and pay with a 0% interest offer we can easily pay in full during the allotted time. The store and manufacturers offered several alternatives for financing in addition to our creditors.Ill amend my review with pictures at that time.
Paul Gross was Amazing, and worked our prices for us when we expressed concern over affordability! Prices are AWESOME by the way; new ownership slashed the prices exponentially!Very personable, knowledgeable guy! Thanks Paul! We can’t wait to get our beautiful new dining room set. Good luck, we will be back soon!
We had a great experience at Gardiner Wolf. Paul Gross was our sales consultant and he was terrific! He introduced himself when we walked in and was very helpful in answering our questions, but we felt no pressure as we took our time picking out a new sofa and chairs for our TV room. After we made our choice, Paul filled out the paperwork for our purchase and clearly explained the details involving financing and delivery. The furniture was delivered on time and by a careful and considerate crew. When we realized that we needed to return two tables that were nice but too big for our room, Paul helped us make those arrangements for pick up as well. Overall, a great experience!
DO NOT BUY FURNITURE FROM THEM. I spent ~$4,500 on a quality bedroom set several years ago. Today, I was moving the dresser away from the wall to clean when one of the legs from the 200 lb dresser snapped completely off and nearly crushed my arm. Fortunately, my young daughter was nowhere near at the time, because she easily could have been killed. Once I was able to brace the dresser and examine the leg, I found out what my money had bought me: Arguably the most important part of the dresser was being held on by a quarter-sized dab of wood glue and two screws that had not been properly placed (see photos). This is Wal Mart furniture masquerading as a quality bedroom set. DO NOT BUY.
After visiting five furniture stores where I felt invisible (including Gardiner Wolf in Frederick), I was very pleased to be greeted by a sale associate. Linda actually listened to my needs and made every effort to help me. The end result was I spent close to $4,000 on furniture. It looked great in the store, and I am looking forward to enjoying it in my home.
My husband and I went mattress shopping for my elderly grandmother. They were very helpful, professional, and knowledgeable. Even though it was busy because of a sale and a holiday, we were immediately helped. We were very happy with her new mattress, and delivery was included as was the removal of the existing box spring and mattress.
The store has a wonderful selection at competitive prices. We shopped around a lot and decided to give our local store a check. We were surprised when we found their prices were actually lower than other stores we’d checked. Paul Gross was our sales consultant and he was extremely friendly and helpful throughout the entire process. We will definitely be returning here when it’s time to replace other furniture in our home.
Elaine Perrin was our sales associate. She was very pleasant, patient and polite and knew her stuff about the furniture we were looking to buy. She asked great, practical questions that made us consider certain pieces over others. We are very pleased with the service we received and hope to be even more pleased with the purchase. We are picking up two recliners later this week. Thanks again Elaine for a very pleasant shopping experience!
Your sales consultant, Mr. Paul Gross, was very helpful to my husband and I when we purchased a “Southern Motion” double reclining love seat and 2 matching recliners. He answered our questions, showed us different types of recliners, but wasn’t at all pushy. We love the furniture! They are working very well. Thank you for a good product and a patient consultant.
John was very helpful, with a few questions he sized up my needs and wishes and led me straight to the best deal/best mattress. When I arrived to pick it up, the floor model had been bagged in plastic and he and another sales person carried it into the truck. Phenomenal service. Great bed.
Paul Gross was great! Helped me with all my questions, and never made me feel pressured to buy anything. Prices were pretty good and the selection was great! Havent had my new couch and chair delivered just yet, but its coming soon!
Paul Gross was our sales consultant and was top notch! He was friendly and outgoing and funny! He left us alone, allowed us to seek him out when we needed him and we really appreciated that! We love doing business with Gardiner Wolf! Thanks, Paul!
We bought a hopefully nice piece of furniture tonight from this store. The man that helped us was Paul...um Frank.... nope nope definitely Paul. He was above reproach on his knowledge and ability to explain answers to our questions. He gave us our space and did his best make the process as pain free as possible and had a great time spending that much money. If you find yourself in this store he is the man to go to, Paul Gross.
Dustin was very helpful and informative. He gave me space to look and checked in frequently to see if I had any questions. He so took the time to measure sofas for me. Great service
Although I was told that the leather furniture I bought was made in the USA (and carried a price tag accordingly), it came in boxes clearly marked from Taiwan.
It would have been appreciated if the Sales Associate followed through with saying they would check to see which warehouse would be shipping the furniture to my house. After waiting about 5 minutes without having the Associate came back with an answer I discovered the group of Sales Staff sitting together chatting. I thanked the Sales Associate for their time, proceeded to the door and went to a competitor.
BEWARE!!!! Wolff file BANKRUPTCY Friday 3/06/2020 -All Assets frozen to include ALL CUSTOMER ORDERS --- even paid for ones sitting in the warehouse awaiting delivery-- with NO CONTINGENCY PLAN!!!! .... They told me today, 3/11/20, I m welcome to come in and select something from stock at a showroom.Last week (friday 3/06/20) was told that the truck broke down couldnt deliver on Saturday had to postpone till next week - How ironic they filed BANKRUPTCY that same day!Yha, Im sure the Gardner folks would be disappointed to see this is whats become of their brand.
We purchased a couch set from Paul Gross, he was great to work with as me and my boyfriend are very indecisive, he helped us decide on what works best for us and knew the answers the every question we had(which was a lot lol ) He has a great personality and is a pleasure to work with. As we took forever and changed our minds a bunch on what we wanted he remained helpful and we feel great about our purchase! Thank you Paul and Gardiner Wolf, we cant wait for furniture to be shipped!
The salesman himself was great. The service after the fact? Horrible. We bought a full living room set of couches and 2 love seats in February. There were always excuses for the delays. It took approximately 3.5 months to be delivered, when we were promised them within a month. The most frustrating part was after delivery......every item (1 couch, 2 love seats) had a defect. The customer service department is their weak link. No update calls, no ETAs.. I would be told every time on the phone that Id receive an update when the part was in and Id have to call every month or so myself to get a feel for where things were. This is still ongoing. Its a nightmare. Id look elsewhere for furniture if I were to do it again.
We have been customers for quite awhile. Always have a good experience. Our salesperson, Karissa was very pleasant and helpful. The entire process was easy and efficient which is why we always go back!
My salesman was excellent. He took time to help me find the right headboard at an excellent price and suggested the bedframe from the same company, also at a goof price, to make installation easier. he also helped me to a 19 bed table, not a standard width in a very nice style and stain and American made. I also bought a dresser with full drawer extension. Who knew? I never felt rushed or pressured and the pricing was better than I had expected.
The staff are great. They touch base with you and check back periodically. No pressure.
Love it there... bought a new mattress. Havent gotten it delivered yet but will next week 😊
Paul Gross was an excellent sales consultant and gave us very good advice and service. I would highly recommend him to my family and friends looking to buy furniture at your store. I will look for him again next time Im looking for anything furniture-related. A real gem. Thanks Paul for all your assistance.
Wonderful selection of furniture together with knowledgeable and pleasant sales staff. I would highly reccomend shopping here, especially during a sale when the prices are customer friendly. Linda was great working with us and helping us make our choice.
Linda was very professional when I called the store to inquire about the availability of a specific recliner that I wanted to purchase prior to my husbands surgery in 3 days. Our local store would not let me purchase the floor model. We wanted this chair quickly as my husband would need it for his comfort and recovery. I called Gardiner Wolf. Linda located the item quickly, promptly calling me back within minutes to tell me they had it and I could purchase the floor model since it was needed quickly. Without asking for my credit card information in advance, she marked the chair sold while we drove to Westminster to pick it up. Thank you Linda for putting the customers needs first. Well be back.Deb MatthewsMcSherrystown, PA
Would’ve been zero if I could! Promised 4-6 weeks, we are on week 11 and still no furniture!! Claim they can’t track it and have no clue when it will be in. Shopping for new tomorrow and probably cancelling my order! Never again!!!!
Went in to look at recliners. Made a purchase and was a smooth process.
Purchased an electric recliner on black Friday 2018, door buster. 3 months later the cushions have wore down to the frame. In-store customer service and the salesman who sold it to me said there was only a 7 day warranty. Their only suggestion was to restuff the cushions myself. I get you get what you pay for, but why dont you sell products you stand behind 100%? Only offering a 7 day warranty is telling the customer you know its poor quality. I will not be suggesting this company to any friends or family.
Annelise was very helpful when I went in to purchase a sleeer sofa. I needed one quickly and she located several options in MD, and was able to find a solution quickly for me! Thank you!!
Went in to look around & left having bought 2 sofas & a loveseat. We loved dealing with Paul Gross. He was there when we needed him, was easy to find when we had a question, but made us feel absolutely comfortable shopping here. No pressure or hard sales pitch whatsoever. Different than what we were expecting. We give highest ratings to Gardiner/Wolf for selections & prices, and to Paul Gross for fantastic salesmanship.Dan & Cathy Schuman
We always go to Wolf/Gardiner Furniture and always find what we are looking for. We walked through the door and our salesman immediately found the perfect solution. We were in and out in 15 minutes. We are very satisfied!!
I have bought several pieces from this furniture store. I have never had problems with the merchandise Ive purchased. In addition, the sales associates have been very nice and helpful. I have recommended this store to many family members and friends and will continue to shop there myself!
My husband and I went in today to buy a living room set and our sales associate seemed nice enough and proceeded to show us some sets . After we decided on the one we wanted and ready to make the deal out of the blue she asked me if I had ever watched the show “House Hunters” I replied no I had never seen it, she then said to me well I probably should not say this but that show has gays on it and bi-racial couples on it and they are just not normal. I was so taken back and much to her surprise I then told her that my daughter is gay and she just lost my business. She then tried to back track what she had said and I was done with hearing anything else. I was so dumbfounded by the comment when it had absolutely nothing to do with buying a living room set not to mention extremely insulted and saddened that someone that is in a customer service business would be so blatant with bigotry. I am not one to post ordinarily but this was so upsetting and disturbing that someone would express her feelings about subjects that should never be discussed when conducting business without care or concern, I will never be back to that store and I only hope that someone else doesn’t have the same experience that I had .
Our buying experience with Gardiner Wolf Furniture in Westminster is very pleasant with the help of Karyssa. Although she is still new in the job, she exhibited very professional and helpful manner. We were able to select the furnitures that fit our needs and more. Very satisfied and we plan to consider your store first on our next furniture shopping. Keep up the good customer service!
My wife and I went to the Westminster store on a Sunday to look for a guest bedroom set. We used to buy all of our furniture from Wolf in Your which is owned now by Gardiners. A lady cam e to help us and we told her what we wanted and found a bedroom set we liked. I asked her what time the store was open until and she said 8:00 pm. I told her we had one other place we wanted to look and asked if I could just call and phone in my order. She turned around and walked away without saying a word totally ignoring us.We called back at 7:00 PM to order the furniture and they were closed. Called on Monday no call back.Any recommendations on a good place to buy would be appreciated. Wolfs used to be great.
We had a great experience. Paul was very helpful and knowledgeable about the sectional we picked. Highly recommended.
Do not buy from this store Although the salesperson was nice, we did not get our furniture when we were told we would. We got a call that the chair was in but not the sofa and it would be at least another month. Keep in mind weve already waited a month. When we went back to store we were told that since we paid in cash it would take about 10 business days for a refund. I told them that was unacceptable and all the manager Charles did was shrug his shoulders and his behind corporate policy. If they cant deliver furniture on time how do I know I will get my refund on time? I strongly encourage buyers to look elsewhere. Sales people might be nice but nothing else about our experience was
Weve bought all our furniture here. Stephen McNamee is excellent! We will continue to come back as long as hes there. Thanks,
We had been lookin to get a new couch for a while. After doing some research we decided to give Gardiner Wolf a try. Paul Gross was our sales consultant. He was seriously awesome! Did not hover over us the whole time...gave us our space, however he was there to answer any questions we had. After checking out a few couches we liked, we decided to go home and double check the measurements of how big we wanted our couch to be (good thing we did because the one couch we liked would have been too big!). We ended up going back on Black Friday and purchasing a couch where Paul helped us again. I would definitley recommend this store to anyone and of course make sure you request Paul Gross to be your sales consultant!
Recently shopped at Gardiner Wolf in Westminster, for new living room furniture. Paul Gross, the salesmen was EXTREMELY knowledgeable on every aspect from fabrics and colors etc. He made the selection easy and was a pleasure to work withThank You!! Barb in Hampstead
In multiple visits with different sales associates we have always received top notch service — very helpful yet giving us space to discuss our choices.
The staff was extremely friendly and the prices were great. Will travel from Baltimore to this location, again and again because of the service. Absolute pleasure to shop in this store.
Elaine was wonderful, hope to see her again soon.
Annelise Sullivan was super personable and took the time to compare color samples for us to match with our carpet where furniture was going and went over all the pieces available including size and features available.
My husband and I had a wonderful buying experience with Paul. Paul assisted us in several purchases, and has had excellent communication with us during our life long purchase!
Annelisa was great. Knew her product, no pressure and delightful to deal with. Thrilled with the sofa!
Friendly staff and attractive displays.
We purchased a chair from Paul Gross. Very informative and professional. Thank you!
I was in last sunday last weekend and was very shocked by the behavior of one of the staff. The big fat sales boy. I say boy because he surely isnt a man. He was screaming loudly at his coworkers at the front of the store and slammed something on the table there it was so loud Im sure the whole store heard it. I was so shocked by this I took my kids and left immediately and we wont be back. I cant believe this behavior is allowed. Where was the manager in all this????
Great selection. Always seem to have what I need. Staff is very helpful.
Worst furniture store EVER. I bought a piece for my girlfriend 10+ years back, took 9 weeks to get in and was damaged when it got there. they tried to paint it to make me not notice the damage. I swore I would never buy anything again. Then that same gf that is now my wife asked me to go in and look at a couch that she fell in love with. I wish I would have found another store to buy it at. Long story short, it took 7 months and countless calls to the store to get the couch in. I was without a couch, and my money and they would not refund my money either.
Paul listened to what we said we wanted, showed us multiple items and worked with us in a very professional, friendly manner. I highly suggest you look for Paul Gross while at Gardiner Wolf Furniture. Thanks, Paul!
2nd time we placed an order from this company and it is wrong. It took almost 6 months to get a desk and it still came damaged. Now we tried again and we ordered a sofa and it was delivered incorrectly. The manager did not seem to care. They are not doing anything to make me ever want make a purchase from them again. POOR CUSTOMER SERVICE!
Friendly sales staff. They were very busy the day we were there. But still helpful
Nice selection. Excellent service from Paul Gross.
My wife and i bought two sofas fromGardiner Wolf in Westminster. After a month or so if having them (we don’t sit in this room often), we noticed the wood frame was completely broken in the backing of the couch. We called thinking they would be reputable and send a service crew out to make repairs or offer replacement. Instead we were told it was $150 to even come look at it. We are not upset about the actual dollar amount, but the way Gardiner Wolf chose to handle the situation. We will never buy furniture from here again. I would highly recommend Gavigan’s in Catonsville as we have bought many pieces of furniture from them and they’ve been great.
Jenny was so helpful and not pushy at all. Even got a hand written thank you afterwards. Plus my furniture came in early too!
Awsome friendly staff and unbeatable. Prices .
Extremely helpful. Delivery guys were great too.
Good sails getting better.
Ordered a sectional here paul was very helpful process was quick and easy
Best customer service ever
Helpful staff without being pushy. Delivery fee I think a little high
Gardiner - Wolf Furniture:. I purchased my couch from Wolf Furniture a few years ago, before the merger. And then I recently bought a recliner from Gardiners Wolf Furniture. My dining room, come to think about it, is from Gardiners as well. I like this furniture store they have good products & their prices are reasonable. No ones driving all the way to North Carolina to get furniture prices so I have no problem with the store. Everytime Ive gone they offered to help me, they answer any questions I have. I dont feel like they are pushing me to buy anything. I have been to a few of their locations, but I do like the one in Westminster Maryland because that is a larger location with more furniture on display. But overall the sales people are nice, and when I scheduled my delivery they were very flexible. So I have no complaints at all
Be careful of the extended warranty they offer. I bought it and when I submitted my claim I was denied.
Gardiner Wolf,Earlier this year we had the pleasure of purchasing our first couch from your store. We were pleased with our new couch and everything seemed to be going well.Shortly after having our couch we noticed a strong odor coming from one of the couch cushions. We removed the cover, washed it and found that the core to the cushion had a repugnant smell. We contacted customer service and were informed that we should throw out the core and place an order for a new one. We did so. We placed the order in early September 2017 and paid the $70+ fee. We were told that the core would arrive to the Westminster, MD store within 4-6 weeks. When 6 weeks arrived and we had not received a call with regards to our cushion my husband, contacted the customer service group by phone. He was given the run around and told that they did not know where the core was and that someone would get back to him.A week passed with no word from Gardiner Wolfe or the customer service department. My husband called again and was told that the core was sent to a furniture store in Pennsylvania and that someone would call him back and let him know when it would arrive to the Westminster store. We never heard back.At the ten week mark, I had had enough of the run around, Thanksgiving was fast approaching and we still had no core for a couch for which we had paid. Gardiner Wolfe had taken our $70+, promised a new core to be sent in 4-6 weeks and had no interest in rectifying the problem. On Saturday, November 18, 2017, I drove to the Westminster, MD store and asked for my core to the couch that we had paid for. I was met with confusion and disdain from every one of the employees until a nice woman named Lorvern/Laverne (spelling) arrived.Lorvern/Laverne took the situation into stride with great professionalism. She had me show her the couch that we had purchased and agreed to allow me to have the core of the cushion if she could not track down the one we had ordered 10 weeks prior. On Monday, November 20th I received a call from Lorvern/Laverne stating I could come after 4 to pick up the core for the couch. My husband and I rushed over to the Westminster, MD store to retrieve our core. When my husband arrived, Lorvern/Laverne was gone for the day and the woman behind the counter seemed confused as to why my husband was retrieving the core. He explained that we had paid for it 10 weeks prior and that Lorvern/Laverne had packaged it for us. Eventually the core was released to him and we were able to get our couch put together before our Thanksgiving company arrived.I must take a moment to ask you, as a company, does any of this seem reasonable to you?Does it seem logical that customers who have purchased an item from you are not provided the item they have paid for?Is it your business model to take a customer’s money and then neglect them until they have to call constantly and in the end make several, physical trips, taking time and money from their day, to fight for and retrieve an item that they have purchased?I feel I must advise; this is not a wise business model to follow. If not for Lorvern/Laverne and her kindness and professionalism, we would gladly have written Gardiner Wolfe Furniture off and never returned, all the while warning our friends and family of these ridiculous hoops that were jumped through by us.I truly believe that if you had more people with the intellect, pose and professionalism of Lorvern/Laverne working for your company, you would be a company worth buying from. We wish her the very best and thank her for her hard work and problem solving skills.
It depends on the sales person. First man we got was not helpful at all just said hi and left. The next time we came in we got an older gentleman named Steve Dotterer and he was very helpful not pushy at all and able to answer all of our questions. Steve even went out of his way to help us. Very rare to meet an actually gentleman these days and we were very happy to work with him. We love our new furniture and will be going back to see him next month for our next project, dining room or bedroom we havent decided yet haha. Maybe both if I can talk my hubby into it ;)
The salespeople dont follow you around but are available to assist. The selection is great and they have top quality brands available.
Paul Gross was a pleasure to work with. He was very friendly, personable, knowledgeable and accommodating.
Great selection, friendly staff.
Thanks for the great service Drew! I’ll be back to see you when we update the living room.
Very nice knowledgeable ppl
All my dealings have with Wolf have proven them to be a great company
Great customer service. A little lacking on delivery promises.
We bought furniture here about 3 years ago and also bought Gardiner-Wolfs protection plan from the worst protection plan third party provider they could have possibly partnered with, Guardsman. Unfortunately I did not search on Guardsman Furniture Professionals before -- their Better Business Bureau rating is beyond repair (ironic, isnt it?) and their customer service and refusal to cover anything they have promised to cover in ink is even worse. If I was was Gardiner Wolf I would extricate my business from these scammers immediately! Guardsman called my punctured leather chair a crack and therefore wouldnt cover it, even though it was punctured with my mothers wedding ring.Bogus, full of poop people. If you cant protect your purchase, whats the point in buying from Gardiners Wolf in the first place? Take your business elsewhere! I will NEVER buy from them again...
Great store! Great staff! Great furniture!
As always wonderful!
We purchased a sectional through Gardiners. It was special order so much of this I blame on the manufacturer Broyhill furniture. We received the sofa almost 3 months after ordering. There are loose threads throughout at the seams in the furniture frame an pillows. The sofa has been in our house for 2 days and we have found 27 loose staples sticking out of the the fabric---pillows, cushions, and areas on the frame. Our youngest son was injured when a protruding staple from a pillow scratched his ear puncturing his skin. We called Gardiners and they are planning to send out a technician to address the issues. The technician however is not available until nearly a week per their standard policy despite the fact the product has caused an injury.
Horrible..cheap looking furniture that was way overpriced
Friendly and helpful staff. Over priced furniture, but all furniture stores are generally over priced.
Great customer service. Large selection.
Horrible. I ordered two of the same couches at the beginning of June and I have STILL only received one. They told me it would be 3 weeks, if that when I bought them. I complained multiple times and all they did was waive my shipping and give me a $100 store credit that I will not use because I will never come here again.
Furniture is nice but it took 2.5 months to get it!!!!
Ok furniture slow delivery on furniture definitely would not buy a mattress from here when they take 90 days to deliver and the mattress warehouse up the street delivers in 2 days.
Great shopping experience with excellent prices!!!
Great sales, great customer service
For me, the sales staff was so mindful of her commission it made my purchase ugly!
We didnt buy anything but they have a nice selection and the salesperson was very professional, kind, and not too pushy.
They did OK but waiting 30 days to get my furniture is crazy but thats why I did not buy my mattress from there, I went to mattress warehouse and they delivered it in 3 days.
Can I give it negative stars? Terrible purchase experience. Not worth the money!
So far so good
Very friendly. But didnt see what I was looking for.
Good place to shop
Very friendly staff and large selection.
Couldnt find what I was looking for, but has some nice selections of furniture.
High prices
Great selection!
To expensive for the OK quality of furniture
Good village
