Keith was so helpful getting my problem solved and helping to come up with solutions. Tom did a great job getting the equipment right and back in perfect shape. He was great explaining why this is important. Jeremy and Lance helped get all parts in fast and contacted us as soon as they came in. Great team and great work.
Staff was knowledgeable and was able to sell me the part I needed, which seemed reasonably priced.
I have a JD 1025R that I did not purchase from this location. However, I have been using them for service and other needs for the last two years. I have nothing but great things to say about the service and the communication with the customer is exceptional. I feel like are reasonable and seem to have my interests in mind over the business which is super refreshing these days. Ive personally dealt with Chris and he is great. Knowledgeable and most importantly patient.I dealt with my local Kubota dealer here in Westminster, MD previous to getting and Deere and was one of the absolute worst customer experiences Ive had in my entire life. They were the exactly opposite of what Ive experienced so far with Finch. Hope your experience is the same as mine.
Wow what a difference since they got bought out. The parts people have no clue what they are doing. Shame
Our snowblower wouldnt start and there was a good 6 inches of snow outside. Since Finch had recently serviced it, I phoned Finch Service department and after attempting to trouble shoot over the phone, Scott, from the service department came to our home and got it working. He really didnt have to go that extra mile, but because of him we were able to dig out and people here were able to get to work. They are dependable and proved they go above and beyond to help their clients.
I am disabled and wanted to purchase a new lawn mower. I decided to stop by the Westminster branch to see what they had in stock. There was an accident out in front of the building which got me there right before closing. I was given a lawn tractor guide and decided to just go look it over and discuss it with the wifey as to what she thinks we should get. We decided on the X590. I was up in the air about whether to get the mulcher attachment with the actuator or get the bagger the automatically emptied itself. After browsing the guide I went in about 2 weeks later to purchase the lawn tractor. My wife was excited about it as well because I decided after speaking to Vince that the automatic bagger would be best. Actually what it’s called in the guide book is the Power flow cart. What I received was this dump from seat bagging option. This isn’t even in the brochure and after the guy that delivered it he scraped the entire bottom of it getting it off the trailer. After seeing the attachment that was in the mower I told the delivery guy that it wasn’t right as it was supposed to be a push button automatic dumping system. He said well just try it out and see if you like it. Well I hate it. It’s not what I wanted and when I called Vince he acted like I was the one that ordered it. No he ordered it and it’s not what I wanted at all. I am wishing that I would have just ordered it online myself and at least it would be right. Now I am concerned that the canopy and Bluetooth module will be wrong as well. At least Vince told me that the service manager would call about this attachment. Well I don’t need the service manager I need the right part to be ordered. I trusted that it he listened and recommended and ordered the right thing. I was wrong. My advice is order it online at least you’ll see what is coming in and not end up with something that’s not even listed in the guide I was given. I’ll be calling John Deere directly today as well. This has really made me second guess this whole thing. It’s as if I wasn’t being heard when I said I am disabled and want the easiest thing to use that is why I paid 12k for this mower. That’s right no discount at all asked and was basically laughed at and was told discounts don’t happen especially on an X590. I feel as though I was taken advantage of as he knew I didn’t know anything about John Deere as this was my first. Everyone I’ve spoken to told me they got a discount off their tractor purchase which is why they got it from the dealer. I guess I had kick me while down on my back because not only was I not heard but wasn’t very helpful after the sale today when I said it was wrong. I should have sent it back and “not tried it out” I had to get my son to help dump out grass today. It’s almost 1am and I can’t sleep because of the pain I’m in from mowing with this “amazing” mower. As of right now I’d never recommend this dealer or brand to anyone.
Update: 04/22/2020My mower was returned in SHOWROOM condition, you literally couldnt tell it from new it looked so clean. And it was cleaned on the inside and out, even the engine compartment SPARKLED. That service alone is worth having your equipment taken to Finch Services in Westminster. The oil was changed, and the blades were sharpened and the mower cut some truly tall and wet grass with ease, making me realize I should probably have the blades sharpened every season. A hearty thank you to Finch and their staff!!*** *** *** *** *** *** *** ***One of the best ways to determine the quality of a company is to see how they react under unusual and negative circumstances. I just had an outstanding response from Scott (manager) who personally called me when I denied what is a necessary repair, simply to get a second opinion and attempt a warranty discussion with the original seller. He spent quite a bit of time reviewing what was wrong with my lawn tractor, and what precautions to take if I were to continue using it (which of course he cautioned against). He listed the services he would be comfortable performing and recommended against some that might prove to not necessary if the mower did not last. I never once felt rushed, pressured and I did feel valued. Guess what?? If I cant get this defect repaired at a low cost, I am taking it right back to Scott at Finch Services in Westminster and getting it repaired, and smiling while I pay the repair fee!! Thank you to Scott, and everyone at Finch services for being true professionals!!
Service department and all of the staff were incredibly helpful. They had my Pops business for years and will have mine too.
Always have the parts I need in stock.
Had to buy a new belt for my mower and it went easily, then I had to come back with a part that the threads where flattened, so he looked up the part and then went around asking if anyone was able to rethread it, they did that for free which saved me a arm and a leg. Great service, but the products are a pain if you need to fix it yourself.
Came in with a flat garden tractor tire, thinking repair would take days. Done in 20 minutes!
Got X739 from this dealer and when delivered had several missing parts. Also got 175 lb spreader that cant be operated from driver seat cause safety cutoff kicks in when turning around to reach for on off handle. Bought tiller attachment from same store and it had green stains at the filler port. When tiller went back for warranty service I asked them to check fill level and when returned it was still over filled. And it looked like from under the engine cowl that the tractor had been run hard cause dirt was all over the inside. Not sure about this dealer and will look for others before retuning.
Bought several tractors from Finch Services in Westminster and Eldersburg. Chris Sipe is a very knowledgeable salesman who has gone above and beyond for me. He follows up and takes pride in what he does. I highly recommend him if youre are looking to buy a tractor at the Westminster Finch dealer.
Good hometown business with friendly staff! Reliable. Dependable!
The person that helped me gave me the wrong part then when I said it wasnt right he asked me if I could make it work

Great store very helpful folks. Great selection of equipment and parts.
The parts department was very helpful. They went above and beyond to help me solve my problem
Love this place... if you want quality merchandise in farm or garden equipment this is the place.
Biggest rip off ever!!!!!!! Stay away from this overpriced, scamming company. We bought the exact same tractor at Home Depot for much cheaper last year. This year we decided to get an oil change and tuneup at Fenches because they had a special running to pickup the tractor for free.I confirmed it was a complementary pickup when the driver arrived at my house. The estimate we were quoted was $400.00 more than the original price of the tractor brand new. I declined the work and now they are charging us $90.00 for doing absolutely nothing. Stay away from this scam. What a terrible bunch of people.
They fired a good friend of mine because he is going on deployment for the army in 2 months they said it was unexpected but they knew the first day he started and now he is using military force under the userra act
Had what I needed in stock. Helpful service.
Always have the parts I need
Previous purchase of the Deer Gator 6th and Honda MonsterSnowthrower from Finch has been filled with attentive and prompt services. Their service department should be a model for other vehicle repair locations. Finch knows its product and get this: They come to your house to conduct repairs and PM, all with competitive pricing. The tech providing repairs, took time to instruct the customer with steps taken to repair the vehicle in the future on my own. I was extremely pleased.
The people make up for this store. I bought a long tractor hereBecause the unknowing tend to follow brandI should have went somewhere else got more Bang for my buck. This particular occurrence though was for my power made tillerWhich they said they cant work on because they dont get parts. Cant wait to my lawn tractor dies once and for all or I decide to sell it so that way I dont have to deal with This store anymore. Do you research by a different brand and stay away from Finch as best as possible.
We have always been dealt with very fairly by Finch Services.
I purchased a 4 year maintenance plan for my John Deere LA105 riding lawn mower from Finch. I have been thoroughly satisfied with their service. They even call each year to remind me to schedule the service.
Jeremy in parts is great he goes above and beyond
You guys are awesome thanks Woody
I received a Valpak coupon from Finch of Westminister Maryland for Lawn and Garden Tractor Mobile Service and decided it would be easier to get professionals to service my 61 inch Husqvarna zero turn lawn mower rather than do it myself. So I scheduled the service for a Saturday morning in September 2014. Andrew arrived on time and after 45 minutes of working on the lawn mower he was all done. While he was working on the mower I spent time with my family as I work all week. $119 for oil change, blades sharpened, level mower deck adjustments, etc... I felt good about the transaction. I used the mower for about 20 minutes that day with no problems and backed it into my shed. The following Saturday I opened my shed and to use the lawn mower as my grass was tall. To my shock – I discovered a four foot oil slick on the floor. You see the two quarts of oil were all on the plywood floor of my shed. Upon inspection - Andrew never tightened the oil filter (I was able to turn it easier by hand) and all the oil leaked out onto the plywood flooring.I called Finch and the left a message for the service manager to have him call me back. On Monday morning – Sonny (the service manager) called me back and was sorry for what happened. He sent Wes out in the afternoon to tighten the oil filter and add back two quarts of oil into my mower. Sonny did offer to take the mower into the shop but I had to get the mower working so I could cut my lawn which was now really tall. After expressing my displeasure with the service several times – Sonny did offer to give my next oil change for free – some consolation. A good service manager would have refunded the entire cost of service right there on the spot. Why would I ever want them to service my mower again? Even after putting down cat litter for a week on my shed floor – I still have a large oil slick (that if I set into tracks oil footprints everywhere on my plywood floor) and a constant reminder that this tech knew less than I did. Two things to tighten when doing an oil shange, the plug and the filter and this tech only did one.Lesson learned – do NOT pay someone for something you can do yourself and do not trust the mobile service of Finch of Westminster.
One thing fin services definitely takes pride in is conning old women My grandmother bought a brand new zero turn John Deere lawnmower from them a month ago it has 25 engine hours on it as broke three times they just now picked it up twice and I’ve sent it back both times saying that it’s OK and that we’re putting bad feeling when we go to the gas station and refilling your tanks up to fresh field every time I will never buy anything from French ever again
Staff is friendly, good quality service.
Always good service.
Always have what you need for parts and service.
My family has dealt with Finch for over 30 years. My latest visit will likely be the last. Questionable business practices and poor communication.
