Ive been a Tevis customer since 1972 or 73. I like services that tell me when they will be at my home and stop by on time. They do great work. When we moved into our current home we had to replace the oil burner and AC. About 20 years later I thought it was time for an upgrade. I received 3 estimate and Tevis was the lowest with better equipment. Besides the their installation skills they supply my oil and propane. I use propane in my 2 fireplaces and to run my whole house generator. When the generator was install Tavis added a propane tank and connected it to the generator. When it was inspected, the inspector asked who installed it. When I told Tevis he signed off on it with a quick visual inspection.As you can see I am a happy customer. When a problem pops up they are quick to correct it.

Gerald and Jordon did a fantastic job. There were polite, courteous ad cleaned up after they were finished leaving the space around the chimney better than it was when they arrived. Thank you for such excellent service.

We were long time customers of Liberty Oil and since Tevis Energy has taken over the service has been excellent. Last year a burner serviceman made an expensive mistake. Modern Comfort stepped right up and made the proper correction immediately, we were very pleased, it could not have been handled any better! They are TOPS!

The 3 guys that came out replaced my heat pump and HVAC quickly and cleaned everything up afterward. They couldn’t have been more polite or professional. Eddie explained how the system worked when they were done. I have been with Modern Comfort and Tevis for 3 years and know that I can depend on them in any situation.

Tevis use to be better. We are signed up for automatic delivery but had to call them the last two times. Now they have added a $6 delivery fee which I am not happy about. Exploring my options.

They are great to deal with and easy to get a hold of. I can either call or send them an email. I love getting my bill via email. Guys are always polite and considered.

Modern comfort is part of my oil delivey company Tavis Energy seems like a good idea but lacks some customer service. Needed a float valve replacement and was quoted 865 installed. However, because I am a service customer that means 15% off and no labor fees. The problem is the receipt does not show any of this. All I see is how much I was charged. No idea for what I was and no idea of what work was done. The reason for the 3 is how quickly they responded. All I wanted is to see how I saved money having the service plan....

Tevis installed my propane stove several seasons ago and they have been servicing it with great care. They are responsive too my needs and I highly recommend them along the Route 30 corridor.

Using automatic delivery, I have never run out of oil. They have always been right there when we needed service. Tevis DOES what they say they will do, WHEN they say they will.

My A/C compressor fan motor wasnt coming on. I asked the first teck. if he thought it was the starting capacitors. He said no and it needed a new fan motor.. Well when another teck showed up with the new fan motor and installed it. IT DIDNT COME ON !!! He had to replace the starting capacitors before it would run !!! Now would the old fan motor have worked if the first teck. had installed the starting capacitors ?? We;ll never know now !! How ever its working now, but did it really need a new fan motor??

Lost a customer today! Delivered somewhere else but billed us, second time. Then guy at dispatch Bill had accusatory attitude when I called to get resolved, kept arguing about his GPS and they were at house for 10 minutes?!?No oil delivered here! He finally realized the mistake and did promise not to charge us but to late to save the account!Update: The incorrect charge was cleared and company reached out to me with concern and apologized, which was appreciated.

Will be switching from this company...Way more expensive than other companies I just called. I am new to heating oil and when I placed the first order, before it got cold, they did not fill up, it was barely at 3/4. Now I had to order more and its $100 more. Also, I could save around $100 if I used another company. Wish I did my research sooner, but I just went with the company that prior owner used.

We have had good dealings with Tevis. They automatically fill our home heating oil tank and that gives us peace of mind. This is good for seniors because we dont always remember these things!You definitely dont want to have your furnace run out of fuel. TEVIS supplies my oil by automatic delivery on a budget plan. This has gone on without a hitch for years. They are always cordial and very responsive when I call the business office with any question or concerns (Kim is great). My purchase of an annual service plan with Modern Comfort ensures that my oil furnace and tank are always in safe running order. I had a wonderful surprise this year. I had been paying a minimal amount per month for about 4 years to Modern Comfort for a separate tank protection plan and, when it was determined my tank had started leaking, the team replaced it completely for free! They were prompt, friendly, and did an excellent job. Their manager, John, was very helpful in making this happen in my very old house. Kudos to you all and thank you!

My problems started day one, 08/21/19. After signing my contract and paying, once I returned home, there was a voice mail asking me to return to the office because the wrong things had been ordered along with the wrong price. My propane appliance was install on 10/04/19. I started having problems with the unit right away. The pilot light would not stay on. John had to make several trip here because of the problem. He finally determined the wrong burner and remote had been ordered again.On 10/11/19, I received my bill from Tevis Energy with an amount due which I did not understand. I called Tevis Energy make an appointment with someone in accounting. I was told to come in and anyone in the front office could help. When I arrived along with Mr. Bernard Jones, we had to stand at the front counter to explain what my problem was. We were not offered the courtesy of a seat or privacy. The lady who tried to help me could not. I ended up returning to the Manchester office to meet with the manager to get the billing problem straighten out.Finally the new burner and remote were installed on 12/20/19. So far everything seems to be fine. To me this took far too long

Tevis has serviced two homes for me, one with oil heat and one with gas. The professional friendly service has been appreciated for many years. Recently they installed a Mitsubishi unit in my finished basement that adds comfort all year round.

Great company, no issues. No charge for delivery of fuel. Company makes it easy by adjusting fuel deliveries based on use and consumption of oil. Sticking with them.

We have been using Tevis for 15+ years. Service has been good, however, last summer during the annual inspection (per our contract) I was told that our oil tank was “weeping” and that we needed a new one. We had a second party inspect it and told us it was fine with no weeping and no leaks. Yesterday morning when we woke up we had no heat because the oil had run out. Tevis and Modern Comfort have always been helpful, honest and proactive. We have had issues that theyve detected early on, and fixed for little to no cost, which prevented a future downed system! Theyve also been great with their home oil delivery. Weve never ran out and the prices were better than the competition we interviewed. I normally dont take the time to write reviews but their service was so attentive, youd have thought we were their only customer. Fantastic service deserves a fantastic review, and Im glad to do it. Moved into a home with oil heating and the people who lived here prior to us used this company. As we were transitioning into our new home, the representative stopped by our home at least 3 times within a two week period when we were working during the day and left pushy notes to call. I finally spoke with her on the phone regarding pricing and information and she asked for my social security number. While I was hesitant and did not to give it to her, this company still found a way to run my credit producing a hard inquiry on my credit report without my permission when I hadn’t even committed to using them. Now I’m stuck with a hard inquiry on my credit report for the next several years. The company that we currently use (National Energy in Gettysburg, PA) is not only cheaper on their oil prices but did not need any of my personal information. They even come out for same day service! Stay away from Tevis...

Terrible service - arranged for a 100 gallon delivery into 250 gallon tank. Driver came and filled the tank full with 244 gallons. Customer service refuse to do the right thing and correct their error, so we are on the hook for $400 in charges which we did not agree to. Disgraceful, disgusting behaviour and I would highly recommend that anyone studiously avoid using this company.

I have been a customer of Tevis Oil and Modern Comfort for over 30 years. What great employees to deal with, always very helpful, knowledgeable, courteous and friendly. Just knowing how charitable Jack and Beth Tevis are I know that the profits Tevis, Inc. makes goes back into the community, ie. Carroll Hospital Center, The Arts Council and many other charities. I currently have several accounts with them and will not even entertain the services of another company. I called to get a price on heating oil and the woman that answered, Kittie, was very rude! I think they could work on their customer service.

Tevis removed my propane tanks without permission. They claim to have sent letters, but the only ones we received were about pricing to have them refilled. The tanks were over half full! I called to figure out why they were removed and to have someone come out to put in new tanks, but they wouldt even work with me on a time to have someone come out after 330pm. Terrible customer service I will be changing companies.

Make sure you ask for their insurance certificate before you let these people on your property. Damage to your house is not fun.

I have been a customer since 2003. I never have to worry about my oil deliveries because Tevis always gets it right. I like their Bioheat heating oil, and my budget payments are spot on.

We have used a few companies for oil delivery over the past 6 years at our current home and Tevis is by far the best. They are extremely reliable and their customer service cant be beat! Anyone I have ever talked to is extremely nice and their online website and account management is very user friendly. An added plus is their suppory for our Military. I really cant say enough good things about this company!
