Great frozen custard and ice. The ice is way better than the stuff that you get at alot of places, its really finely shaved and the flavors are mixed in. Tons of different flavors. Decent prices for big portions. Decent service.

So many flavors! So many toppings! This is easily my favorite ice cream place in town. They have so many different combinations available, and for very decent prices. The staff are friendly and always seem to serve with a smile. Plus, there is a giant cow statue out front. I dont know what else to say aside from, you should definitely stop here for ice cream!

Just moved into the area and found this gem. This place has so many flavors that it will take my family awhile to try them all. I also love that they have a kids size, which is still pretty big.

Nice place to get some ice cream. Milkshakes Sundays banana splits etc of course they have the ices as well but I really enjoyed it and the service is good.

The Cow reminds me of the frozen custard stands of my childhood. They serve frozen custard, which is more thick, rich, and creamy than soft ice cream. Only Vanilla and Chocolate can be swirled together here. However, they will layer any flavors and will happily make suggestions if you are stuck. There are dozens of selections.The Cow also serves frozen ice. If you are in the mood for an especially good smooth ice treat, this is the best way to go. They have all of the traditional flavors from the trucks that cruise the neighborhood ringing bells or music. Double the selection by adding flavors for modern tastes - coconut lime, and blood orange come to mind.Ices and frozen custard may be mixed in a single cup. Love the different custard flavors and Ice flavors for a yummy Gelati. Lines can sometimes be long but they work quick . Even made sure the mascot was safe during these trying times.

Very nice stop. We were glad they were open in November and the custard was very good. We really appreciated how well the covid-19 precautions were followed; it made it nice to enjoy a simple treat without worrying. The server was very friendly.

Hello. I went to the cow to get some custard the other day and I ordered my simple medium chocolate custard and there was a teenager taking my order. She was a short blond haired girl and there was also a tall man. They were VERY polite and I had EXCELLENT service with them. They had a smile like they were happy to be at work and they were probably the nicest people I have had served me at the cow.... They were so nice I had to ask their names, and they were Justin and Alexa if I remembered correctly. I also went with the rest of my family and they were also very pleased with the excellent service. The custard was so very good and it was made perfectly! This is probably one of my new favorite ice cream places to go to in Westminster now because of the polite people! Keep up with the awesome service to them two!!!👍👍👍

Our ice cream was served in a very small/flimsy cup and the ice cream was over flowing. Although I appreciate their generosity in terms of how much ice cream was served, when I asked for an additional cup to scoop some of the excess ice cream into I was told that they would not give me an extra cup, it was against their store policy. I couldn’t believe that after ordering 4 ice creams and spending $14 they couldn’t give me one cup to compensate for how they served me the ice cream! The ice cream ended up dripping everywhere and making a huge mess.

Delicious Frozen Custard is a wide variety of flavours and serving options. Easy to get to and plenty of parking. Handicapped accessable. There are not a lot of places to sit and eat, but there are enough to go around.

Great ice cream; however, they refused to give me an extra, empty plastic cup for the excess. I even offered to pay them for the empty cup. The sales person said that it was “company policy,” and that he would “lose my job” if he gave me the cup. Seems odd. Either way, I made it home without the ice cream melting everywhere. All is good.

My boys and I are visiting my sister who lives in Westminster this week and she wanted to treat her nephews who are 5 and 3 to some ice cream. She is new to the area and wanted to try out The Cow. Obviously with it being the middle of summer, it was a really hot day. The custard was served in small plastic cups which which easily bent. This made for an absolute disaster with melted ice cream. It was everywhere. As my sister and I were trying to clean up the boys who were completely covered in sticky ice cream, our own ice cream was melting all over. My sister went to the window and asked for more cups (to put our own cones in and to catch some of the boys overflowing melted ice cream). We were told that it was against store policy to give more than one cup. There were also no napkins outside so we had to stand in line covered in ice cream waiting until we could get to the window to ask for more napkins. It was by far the most miserable ice cream experience I have ever had! I would suggest buying sturdier containers or more courteous policies. We will not be back to The Cow.

Delicious and yummm, and I went on Sunday for 1st time, it was last day for the season, the young lady working was very helpful and friendly greeted me and my sister with a smile and the same when we left I dont know her name but she was working Sunday evening and she was great the date was November 17th Sunday evening great customer service friendly helpful knowledgeable thank you very much

I use to live around the corner and back then me and the kids would come here and we loved it. this was when it was smaller and they did not have as much. then the expanded and they never changed the recipe the flavors are the best and you taste real fruit pieces sometimes to let you know we do not do fake flavoring. the ice cream is perfect and the gelati are amazing. i no longer liver near here but drive quite a ways once in a while to get a quart of the pear..my favorite. i will say that the lines get very very long when its nice out but that shows you how good they are. to me the best in Maryland. My only issue is that its only one of them and by now after 15 years of coming to them i wish they would branch out and place one in maybe Ellicott City area so i can smile more

The Cow is a great place. All products are made with the best possible ingredients. They even have no sugar added yogurt for diabetics.

This place beats out Ritas by a million! The selection of flavors is to die for, and it tastes so good! Nice ambiance sitting outside, people watching, and having cars drive by. A lot of fun! I cant wait for it to open up!!!!

I ordered a kids size custard cone with chocolate dip, and when I received it, the custard was exploding out of the chocolate. I tried licking the drips to no avail. Within thirty seconds of holding it, the ice cream dropped all over my hand and the sidewalk. I was given a cup when I asked for one, but the girl working the counter did not seem to have any sense of urgency over the matter. When I asked for napkins, as they have none sitting out for customers, I was given exactly five of the cheapest, smallest napkins you can buy. I ended up throwing the cone away in order to clean myself off. Save yourself the trouble and go to Hoffman’s.

Stopped there on a Monday evening. Lights on, open sign lit but no one around. Doors and windows locked with no sign. Waited for someone to return but they never showed. Several customers came and left. Went to Hoffmans Ice Cream and they had 3 servers ready and waiting. First time I tried the place and probably the last. At least leave a sign if you have to step out for a minute.

Custard is average, stood in line of only 6 people for 20 min with 3 people working. They wouldnt let us buy a plastic cup for a quickly melting cone and refused to give us one. Why so popular? This place was frustrating and average.

Very good ice and custard. We asked for a second cup to help from spilling in the car and we were told no; additional cups were prohibited from being given out. Thats why only 4 stars.

Some of the creamiest ice cream I think I have ever had. definitely want to go back and try some of their other offerings from their wide variety of flavors.

I absolutely love the gelato, ice cream, sundaes and everything on the menu but someone please tell me why the location in Westminster is never open when their supposed to be??? They are always closing early and its driving me nuts. Like tonight they were supposed to be open to at least 9:30 according to the other location, 10:00 by the website but yet they were closed by 9:00pm when I went there. Everyday of the week they have been closed by 9:00pm but arent supposed to be.
