We went a little late but very nice store, very clean. My husband and I were looking at socks and air guns. When it was time to check out I had mentioned I had a coupon to him but realized I had to meet certain qualifications so my coupon wouldnt work. Carol, chimed right in and after a bit if creative thinking was able to offer a discount that was close to the value of the coupon. This v ad e everyone e so much extra value to my shopping experience.

Went again the other day and was disappointed in help. Had a question about baseball equipment and no one to answer my question. Thanks Google, we figured it out. But really? Im in a sporting goods store with no answers to what kind of glove for infield vs outfield. Hey I found a sign there too after Google helped.

They are a decent store. Dont have alot of what I look for due to their smaller size. Helpful employees.

There prices are good. I went in twice the 2nd which was great. And yesterday well dont know a different crew but wow service was low they ask if you need help while walking past you. Than they are working but talking the whole time to each other.

We have four children including three teenage boys, who are all into sports, so we go through a lot of shoes and sporting equipment. We will go out of our way to go to this big 5 to buy what we need. From the cashiers to the salespeople, they are super helpful. Plus the prices are amazing. The cashiers have even helped me find extra coupons to make sure Im getting the best deal possible. Love shopping here!

Big 5 is, by default, the place we have to go for my sons baseball gear...unless I feel like a trip to the mall. Either way, every time we go in this store the people (usually a younger woman) whom greet us acts as if were dumb for not knowing exactly where to find an item. This time we went in for a baseball bag. Two things about this: 1. the bags are so high... nearly to the ceiling..and completely out of reach 2. We had to ask the same grumpy gal up front to help us get one down. Also- the prices are not as marked on the tag. We find this quite often.. The item(s) are actually on sale with no marketing to tell the consumer as such. Perhaps consumers would purchase more from your location if they actually knew a rough amount before they came up to the register.. Having been in retail for over 20 years, this is truly retail 101.

Was leaving on mission trip and needed several diverse items. Big 5 had all of them. I gave my list of 5 items to the associate and he helped me find it all. Im not a shopper so I really appreciate help like that.

First of all, this complaint is not directly the stores fault but Big 5 as a company. For years, you have been the ONLY place, other than online directly from New Balance, to find shoes in my size. I can only wear New Balance size 14 4e. Being a mechanic I HAVE to have BLACK shoes. Over the years, the in stock supply in ANY store, the choice of black shoes has dwindled. I cannot wear the 409 cause they get very slippery. When asked to check around for my specifics, a pair was found in New York. The gentleman in this store made sure they were black. I asked 5 times at least. THREE WEEKS LATER, THEY ARE GREY! Talk about going through the roof! You have lost me as a customer. Unless you can start stocking your stores with what I need. I cannot settle for a blue pair, a white pair, a yellow pair because most of your customers with my size feet are high school basketball players that want flash not function! Id love to be able to find something I can wear locally!

Why do I like Big 5, well I am a tennis player and I play tennis all over town. When I need to grab a can of tennis balls or tennis supplies, usually I can find a Big 5 close by and the prices doesnt offend my wallet. I can find a large selection of shoes, clothing, almost everything I need for tennis supplies. For the other types of sports, most of them are covered also.

I went to this big 5 to pickup lot of baseball bat grips. This Big5 had some, and asked them to hold it for me on a counter. It was quick in and out of the shop. Employees were friendly and very helpful.

This is actually a great store. After 6 or 7 visits over the last year or so, and tons of purchases: the staff takes care of you without being overbearing and they get you the gear you need with great customer service cheaper than Amazon. Support these guys if you are local. Good shop.

Its ok dont really shop there. Found some warm socks for my grand daughter to wear in her snow boots. They have the same stuff most of the time .

A lot of what you need at good prices.

Usually limited selection at this location, not a fan of most of the pricing ($$$), but I love the hours. It works in a pinch, usually. I have 3 boys in sports and are adventurous... this is our go-to on a whim or when Ive completely forgotten baseball or basketball starts for the season (mom brain)!

Love this place.Alway Big 5 for my tennis shoes. Sketchers is generally what the wife and I buy and they usually have what I want. Staff is always helpful and friendly. This is my go to for shoes.

Not sure what happened but customer service seems to be non existent at this location as of late. Came in to grab a couple of quick items for a camping trip on two separate occasions this week and did not leave with what I set out for. The primary reason being, I couldnt find anyone to help me. This isnt for lack of associates, its just more that they are too busy flirting with each other or tonight in example, an associate was walking around with four or five of his friends blowing bubbles...? I could see exactly what I wanted but it was in a glass case(hatchet). When I asked the cashier up front she said I needed to find someone on the floor to get what I needed, but he was obviously too busy with his bubbles. Weird and annoying experience.

I asked for assistance in finding a piece of sports equipment that I didnt see on the floor, the phone was more important and I was told that if its not there they get a shipment tomorrow. I asked if he could let me know if that was something coming in and he couldnt look it up by name but had to have a sku. Thank you for the 30 seconds you gave up while on the phone not helping
