ADT does not care about you or the reality of todays world. If you move away from your home, for instance, you will have to pay every dollar of the monthly bills spanning three years.Edit: how can you care so little about your current customers that you wont even help them get a contract transferred over? You have an entire army of salespeople. I closed on the sale of my house during COVID so I never met the new owners. Additionally, the fact that I had to pay the entire contact even if I sold the house way never explained to me when I signed up; if it was, I would never have done it because I was already planning on selling the house. Installing ADT was meant to improve the value. Your business is absolutely abhorrent and I hope more people speak up.
Salesperson came to my door, asked personal information, and insisted on coming into my house multiple times. I have no information and refused to let him in. He made me very uncomfortable, I contacted local authorities and gave a description. Your salesperson came across as if he was casing my house. If he comes back I will not hesitate to call the police. Educate the contractors on how to approach people or simply don’t have them. He made me absolutely positive we will NOT be using ADT.
Your salesperson came to my house after 7:30pm without a mask on. Please manage your people better.
This is actually a review for the ADT skill for Alexa since some people were having issues integrating the two. But it encouraged me to post this here as well...First off, do a little research people. I had the same issue with connecting my ADT Control to Alexa. But after a few minutes of reading some reviews, I was able to fix the issue. Are you ready for the answer?...Are you sure....?? Haha jk Disable two factor authentication (temporarily) for ADT, THEN connect it with Alexa. Its a security feature. Many smart home devices, financial budget apps, etc. require you to do the exact same thing. I would screen shot proof that mine works fine if I could. It arms, disarms, sends system notifications, etc. Secondly, the ADT Alexa skill works just fine and I would give it 5 stars, but I will be generous and give it 3. Solely for the fact I hate ADT. Its been the biggest regret of mine since I purchased my home. They lock you into a 3 YEAR CONTRACT, charge an absurd 75% early termination fee, and charge roughly $56.99 per month! I thought higher monthly rates were offset by free upgraded equipment (or so I was told), but every time I have requested an upgrade, they charged me a supposed discounted price for the equipment PLUS the service charge! I would rather install and set up my own equipment myself rather than let their quote unquote expert technicians do it and make my home all tacky. And the equipment, app, and website are not even very updated or remotely close to being user friendly (compared to Ring, SimpliSafe, Google Haven, etc.). Needless to say, I will take the hit and pay the early termination fee. Fortunately I already have the security system equipment for Ring. And to clarify, it is still a good security company that does good security work, but it is not worth the price tag, commitment, frustration, or headaches from figuring out how to navigate their systems. If you have the money to burn then great! Enjoy! For everyone else, I suggest searching elsewhere.
Warning: Hang up the phone if ADT marketing people call you!Wow, what a bad experience. I do not recommend Protect Your Home. They promised me $1,800 in free equipment if I signed up for their monitoring service. I fell for it. They promised that if I paid $99 up front, they would send an installer that week, and his truck would be full of cameras, detectors, and keypad locks that I wanted. That was in October when I was a new homeowner that wanted all of that equipment. Its January 24 and their people consistently cancel or just dont show up. I got a voicemail the day of an appointment from an automated system that informed me they would need to reschedule, but they never did. Their managers apologized, but said I was supposed to call them to reschedule. They then promised more free stuff rather than refund my $100.They wasted a few hours of my life that Ill never get back. Terrible.
Brett Royal was very professional, helpful and listened. He did a great job in outlining what we needed as far as an overall security system and then fitting our needs with our budget. Install was efficient and professional.
Beware ADT is a Sales SCAM!! They locked me into a 3 year contract with no clause if you move out of the home!! I am being told I still need to pay the $800 and two years left on the contract even though I am moving out of state! No other service provider I have is doing that- cable, phone, internet provider and I entered into good faith contracts with them as well! SCAM, SCAM, SCAM! Shame on you ADT!! 😡😡😡 This was never disclosed at the home interview!! SCAM!!!
Everyone at ADT from the call center to set up my appointment date to the two technicians that came to my home within 48 hrs. Are very professional and knowledgeable of the products installed and offered. I didnt feel pressured or hassled by anyone to install or purchase anything. Thank you .
Chris the technician is why ADT can grow. He was extremely informative and very courteous to both my wife and I. We have a prewired home, the installation and activation was smooth.. Technician.
They lied to me about what I would get and did not honor their word. I have sent my cancellation and they still have not refunded my purchase. I will contact my bank to get my money back.
They ran my credit without consent. Never refunded the charge. Im going to file a lawsuit.
WTF. they pull your credit without consent.
Thorough, with great attention to detail!
