I have always had a good experience with the mechanics at this shop. Their price is fair for the quality work that they do. They even point me in the right direction as to how to fix the problem myself if I choose to go the DIY route. Overall, my experience at this shop has been good and always recommend friends to get their bikes fixed here.
Great service, nice selection of bicycles for all ages. Friendly staff.Helpful in finding me a new Trek!
The store was able to quickly respond my email and provide options for my inquiry. The lady who helped to place the order was very nice and helpful.
Ive been a loyal Race Pace Customer for over 20 years. They have fair pricing on all of their products and their mechanics are on point. Always like to support my local bike shop and not buy online.
Great store and staff. Wonderful experience with both sales and service staff. Bought my wife’s bike there back in early March and couldn’t have been more satisfied. My son’s bike broke today and was needed for Boy Scouts tomorrow afternoon. The service guy had us in and out in about 5mins and couldn’t have been more professional and personable. Great experience every time we go there. Would highly recommend
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Tim was super great helping me get set up on my new bike. Very patient and meticulous. Good selection of accessories and bikes.
I am new to biking and bought my first bike at a big box store last fall. I wanted an upgrade and tried Race Pace Bicycles in Westminster. They gave me great advice and let me try different bikes to find the best fit for me. I will not buy a bike anywhere else after my experience with them.
Great bike store! Thanks for all the time you spent with me, Ted. After a terrible experience at a different store, Race Pace was recommended to me and it had great selection of bikes along with excellent, knowledgeable people. They were good working with a woman as well as with their mostly male clients. Ill be back for service and accessories in the future.
In the market for a new bike. David was a great help in figuring out my needs. Still have do diligent research to do . Very knowledgeable. Thanks
Store looked closed from the outside and Open sign was turned off. I walked in and asked one of the guys behind the counter if they were open. I was treated with an eye roll and some comment about being open all day. I let that go and asked if he could show me some mountain bikes. He said “ok?” and literally walked away. His whole vibe was he couldn’t be bothered. The other guy stepped in and was really helpful but it was too late, my mind was already out the door.
They were amazing! Very friendly and provided information on electric bikes. The man I worked with even let me test ride one of the bikes. Very exciting 😀
I went in for a tune up and to get tires, tubes, pegs, and break pads put on. All you did was put the new parts on my bike but you didnt tune it up at all! And worst of all it took you a month and a half with no phone calls about my order for my tires that was gonna be late, like you said you were gonna do. When I finally called to see where my bike was you said the tires were gonna be another 2 weeks so IF I DIDNT CALL YOU YOU WERE NEVER GONNA TELL ME ABOUT IT AND TAKE AN EXTRA 2 WEEKS ON TOP OF THE 45 DAYS THAT YOU ALREADY TOOK! THATS if you were telling the truth at all! And then I finally got some random tires put on because I just didnt want you to have my bike anymore! You waisted my time and money because you still wanted to charge me 180$ for something that I could have done myself and got the parts I wanted sooner and cheaper. Im very disappointed in everything you decided to do with your business because that is not how you run one.
I bought either bicycles, parts or service from pretty much all race pace locations save for Baltimore. Lately for my bike service Ive been going to Westminster location. 5 starts dont say it all. These guys motto is under-promise and over-deliver. They are very knowledgeable, do a great job in tuning the bikes, and always, always friendly. Special shout out goes to Peter, who by now is making a career out of fixing my upgrades. You guys rock. Thank You very much.
Great group of folks who know their stuff.
Great. Salesman was very helpful, informative, asked what type of riding I would do. Purchased a bike
Ive been going here for a number of years and they have consistently done a good job maintaining my bikes. Recently with so many people buying bikes everyone is out of stock. Fortunately they have been smart and set it up so you can have an appointment to get your bike serviced. Highly recommended.
I was starting to get discouraged because we kept getting the parts wrong, mostly r
Ted helped me purchase my new gravel bike over the phone, and I couldn’t be happier!
I should have gone to White’s Bikes. Local shops take better care of their customers and more pride in their work.
These guys know their stuff, are ready and willing to help, have bikes ready to buy, and good prices. So happy I stopped by!
Staff is very helpful and knowledgeable and theres a good variety of bikes to look at and try out. I didnt feel pressured and the whole experience there was very positive.
Great Customer Service
Great selection of bikes. Very helpful staff.
I stopped in to get a tool, they were out of stock and said they would have to order and it would be abot 15.00, i agreed to wait even though i knew i could get it for considerably less online and in reality, much faster.Picked up the tool today, the price was 16.00, so i pay and get out to my car to notice the package was previously opened and the tool had been used, then put back into the package and taped together, i left without noticing, no offer to discount the used tool and zero mention of the package being previoulsy opened and used.I have been a customer of this store since it opened several years ago, after this kind of customer service i will take my purchases elsewhere. May as well get my basic cycling stuff at Walmart.
I’ve bought several bikes and parts here. They are my go to for all of my cycling needs. Honest staff and always helpful.
Peter is the manager. Ted and steve do all the work. David keeps taking my bike to work. Jason, thank you for sharing your employee only discount with me.
Man its sad to write this but Ive been a customer with race pace for about 17 years bought about 10 bike from them lived in the Ellicott City area and the old store on 40 was great knowledgeable staff happy to help and taught me great Mountain and Road bike maintenance on how to keep everything lubercated and how to change a tire and repair a flat. The new store on 40 was even better even have some of the same great staff! But I recently moved to New Windsor so the Westminster store was the best choice for me. Had some rear hub trouble on my new Trek so decided to drop it off. When entering the store someone greeted me and asked if I needed some help. I knew that the rear hub was stripped out so I showed the employee and he began to tell me that the chain was the problem. That should of been my first red flag but I decided to let him go and check the chain he then told me he needed to get the person that works on bikes who then told me they would look at it later so I told them just to call me. One week later I decided to call them and they told me it was the hub and it should be coming in all under warranty like it has been in the past. Another week it was ready so I arrived to pick it up and there was a $45 tire mounting fee. A little un happy I just paid it and left. Arriving home I realized my tire direction was backwards and the rim was a little out of true. I wanted to ride early the next morning so I remounted the tire real quick and I realized that 3 spokes were completely loose. Luckily I am skilled enough and have the tools to re true the rim and mount the tire correctly it just frustrating paying someone to do it incorrectly. If someone left the store not knowing this they could definitely have a problem on the trail right away. The stores are just night and day I feel like the Ellicott city store is great but the Westminister store just has warm bodies running the place. This was our second incident there so as a business owner as well I know good help is hard to find these days so I thought I should write this review so someone would know whats going on at their store. Im still probably going to buy my next bike there but definitely giving some of the warranty services a good once over before I leave.
Id give them 6 stars if I could. Consistently go above and beyond to help me with any question or repair, even when its something Ive botched trying to do myself. Most of the time, I can walk in, get a fix, and walk out. Support your local bike shop! They know more than the internet.
Neat store. Staff is knowledgeable and friendly. They did a tune up on my bike as well as helped me out with a flat tire that I couldnt get fixed. They found the issue and got me rolling again. Prices are high for merchandise, but thats pretty standard in this industry.
Very knowledgeable and helpful instead of selling me a part I didnt need the tould and showed me what I needed to do A+
The staff here is quality. They know their stuff inside and out. If you are looking for answers without feeling pressured, this is your place. They can help you with what type of bike to get, to the accessories that would pair well with your purchase. If you have any issues with your bike, they are the ones to repair it!
Friendly and knowledgable staff. Always willing to answer questions. I have purchased 2 bikes and 2 racks from them and love them. Now for the bad. When I purchased my second bike in 2018, I was told it was a left over, thinking it was a 2017 and I thought it was a good price considering the bike. Moving on 2 years, I go to try and sell the bike, come to find out it is 2013 and had a hard trying to sell it without losing my a**. It was only ridden twice. I will never purchase another bike from them again.
Great service and knowledge
I have been doing business with Race Pace for over 20 years. Their prices are reasonable for the quality produces the sell. Service has always been excellent
Rented a Mountainbike at Race Pace. Great experience, will hopefully have a chance to rent from this shop again! Thanks
Best bike shops in Maryland. If they dont have a part at the store, theyll get it from another one quickly. Always great service and friendly bike talk.
Store is great. Employees are very helpful and friendly. I will recommend to anyone that has bikes.
The guy at the shop was friendly, took time to show us a variety of options for the bike we were looking for. He helped us try it out, demonstrated basic maintenance and was very knowledgeable.
Friendly, knowledgeable staff. Good selection of bikes and components.
Thank you Race Pace.for getting my bike purring again. Friendly owner and staff. Knowledgeable mechanics.
