5 stars for saving my day! On a holiday, when no shop around was open, the person working in the back fixed my car and helped me get back on the road and I didnt have to miss my flight from LAX. No ATMs around, everything was closed, he fixed it for free. So this place deserves all stars available.

I placed an order online for some tires on Wednesday. Said to drop off car on Thursday at 3:00. I wanted the service done on Wednesday so I called and asked if they can squeeze me in but never received a call back. So on Thursday my appointment day I went in at 12:00 to verify that they had the tires in stock. They said that they did and that they will see me at 3:00. So I dropped my car off at 2:30 . I get a call back 3 hours later saying they don’t have my tires in stock. So unprofessional!!! Wasted two days for nothing !!! I had a flat tire in the rear and when the guy working on my car brought it back down off the lift. He took it around the block doing peel outs. With my rear tires being flat. And they didn’t even fill up the air in the rear tire just gave me the car after taking around the block with a flat tire. SMH

Wasnia is the manger here and since having my Oil changed I’ve been very pleased with the service which is why I returned on the other occasions for things that were very pertinent to my Toyota forerunner to be done. Not only were they very friendly but they took the time to show me in my engine what needed to be done and why it needs to be done which I feel is crucial because it’s very hard nowadays to find a good mechanic one that won’t take advantage of you I being a female that seems to happen a lot in life when it comes to car repairs.They are extremely trustworthy and when given the estimated time they are always right within that timeframe which is another big deal because if you’re relying upon your car for your every day use and you have to give it up for a few hours that makes a big difference that they are actually saying the time that they’re going to finish completing the work. The person assisting me knew precisely what headlight bulb I needed off the top of their head and had it stock. Unlike the folks over at OReilly Auto Parts who sold me the wrong bulb even though they supposedly looked up which one I needed. Ill never cheat on Pep Boys again.

Waz the manager was great here (Westminster site) and Technician Vu, and other Techs before. Car works well, good brakes, more power after filter was changed etc. I always come back because of great customer service. This was about my 5th or 6th time or so far service over the years for regular stuff, tires, maintenance, etc. Ive always trusted Pep Boys name for years but its the individuals and personal/customer experience that makes a difference. Meant to post this long ago but hope this nice long review makes up for it!...;) Thanks again Waz for always great customer service, attitude, etc!

Their customer service was super great. I went in there to get something repaired and they repaired it they made me feel very comfortable I had a place for me to sit down and they even put me in front of the line to buy something in auto parts department. Due to because I walk with a cane so he was hard for me to stand in line plus my car was already done and there was some customers that let me go in first. So I thank Pep Boys worker and the customer that let me go in first before they did. So I said thank you to all.

*Dont come here for pepboy standards.*Drive a few more miles to the next location. Pepboys at First street complete recommend it.I have trusted pepboys for years to do my maintenance services when I cant do them my self.Completely ignored me and put an oil that I didnt request. Saying that my car doesnt take the oil I requested when I have taken it to other locations and have had no problems with it. Manufacturer clearly states that my choice is the best. Not care to even check in case they were wrong.No tire pressure check, rotation, check point inspection, etc.

I gave PepBoys Westminster a second chance per their recommendation after I had a terrible experience with the Manager Saul back in November 2020.He must have had a note in the computer system that I complained about previously about him after how I was just treated.I got a flat tire and needed to have a new one put on. I called and spoke with Saul who said that he had the tire in stock and made an appointment for me the next day. He said since I got the tires in December on special for $99 each that he would not charge me to balance or the labor for the tire since he could not offer me the discounted price. I arrived for my appointment and Saul came out and quickly looked at my car. He said he could not help me because my rim was broken.I then went to Ford HB and they told me the rim was not broken. I then went to Marina Autobody to get a second opinion. They also said the rim was not damaged.After visiting the other two body shops I came back to have the tire put on. Saul was not there when I dropped off my car and the young asian man at the front said he would have Saul call me when he got in. Saul called me with a quote that was $360+.I let him know of our previous conversation and he told me that never happened. We went back and forth before I finally told him I am not arguing with him and to work on the tire and I will reach out to the company. Once I said this he said he would discount the tire.I was called at noon to be told the tire was done. The man said the tire light would never go off because the sensor was missing. I said I was not comfortable driving around without the sensor. He told me to buy a senor and bring it back and it will be put on free of charge. I said I have a busy work schedule and I need to make an appointment. He asked me to come in the next day at 1:15. He said it usually take 20-30 minutes to put on, but that it would be complete in an hour or less. He was aware I had to get to my second shift of work.When I got there, Saul checked me in. He said he did not see an appointment for me and asked if I am dropping off my car. I said no, I just came from work and have to go to my second shift. I let him know I was promised it would be done in an hour. The young asian man stepped in and said he would have it done in the next hour and that he had made an appointment for me.I asked Saul why he turned me away the first time without having a mechanic look at my car. He said he thought it was broken. He did not apologize. I let him know how much money and time I have wasted from his careless mistake and just stated at me.At 2:15 I went up to the front to check on my car. Saul said he had no idea when it would be ready. I let him know I needed to get back to work and he said I could leave the call. He called me an Uber home. Once home for 30 minutes I got a call saying the car was ready. The uber took 40 minutes to pick me up and I was not able to pick up my car until 4:20. Since picking up my car the radio has been messed up. I believe Saul damaged my radio.There is a huge management issue at this location. How Saul is treating women is disgusting. This is not a one-time mistake as I was told previously told by Pep Boys. He treated me terribly a couple of months ago and he obviously was not spoken to. When I let him know I was unhappy and going to complain he literally said he does not care.This needs to be fixed. I need my car looked at my another professional to fix the damage that Saul has created.

I was quoted $235 plus tax to replace a headlight lamp; $135 for Philips lightbulb and $100 for labor. I couldnt believe what the guy was quoting me because I had done the same repair in February at Pepboys in Anaheim for $29.93 total. The guy adamantly told me that that there are no cheaper lightbulbs.So I googled how to replace headlight lamp and went into the SAME Pepboys store to buy Philips H11 lights for less than $20. It took me less than 15 minutes to open the headlight housing and replace the bulb.I am truly disappointed in what I experienced today.

Took my BMW M sport for oil change and gave me some pointers on how to save on future oil changes. (Side Note) I am a bargain hunter and very frugal. Had a tire blowout Sunday night almost closing time day before a Holiday. Mike B. went out of his way to make time for me. Exceptional service and really took it to the next level when it came to customer service . Tire fixed and ready for my trip. I watched them work hard & fast to get done. I took my car in there for brakes, because they were grinding really bad. Saul was the man working the front. I was so impressed with the level of professionalism from the get go. The department was really busy and Saul was so calm and efficient it was amazing. He let me know how long it was going to take to get the brakes inspected and then took my keys and put things in motion. They got back to me in about an hour and let me know what I needed. I knew I was going to need new rotors (which can be expensive), and that was in fact the case. The cost was a little more then I could afford. Saul suggested getting the Pepboys credit card and I was able to find a 10% off coupon online. I was able to get the service done and not have to take off anymore work to handle it. The work was done in less then 2hr and I left totally satisfied! Thank you Pepboys and Saul you guys are awesome!

Had an appointment for an 11 am oil change today. Arrived at 10:45. Checked in and was told it would be 2 hours before they got to me because there were cars ahead of me. So why do they bother setting up appointments. Later on I received an email telling me i missed my appointment and would i like to reschedule? Really? No thanks. Going elsewhere.

Made an appointment a week ahead to have trans flush and filter change. Told them exactly what my truck was year, make and the transmission model. Get there and the counter person tells me they dont work on diesels. Then why in the hell did make the appointment. All my information was in the computer. I was giving these guys a second chance from the oil change fiasco. By the way you are not working on the engine you supposed to work on the transmission. Its the same one on a heavy duty GAS truck. Total waste of my day. Just went home and did it myself.

Maintenance Manager is not close to being a manager. This Pep Boys Dispointed me once more, for past 30 years I kept giving this location a chance. Their very rude to their customers, and the manager has no people skills. Walked out after waiting two hours in their lobby, just to have a estimate. And I had an appointment. It wasnt only for the long waiting that I walked out, the manager topped it by telling me the wait is because he had another car with a grand break job.

I went in here with a good idea of what was wrong with my car and was just looking to get confirmation via a diagnostic exam. When I asked if they could run it for me, they said they couldnt guarantee it for several hours. It is a simple deal, maybe 5 mins, and they were unwilling to have anybody come over and do that real quick for me, so I didnt buy any of the parts I needed from here.

Why make an appointment? An appointment was set six days before the actual service. Vehicle is fleet and this group of pathetically ran management and service department should be written up and fired!!! At the time of making appointment I mentioned that I did want the brakes checked, prevention is always the best medicine. The appointment setter/fleet liaison said that it would require a certified mechanic but one would be available that morning. Appointment was set for 9am on Monday 4th of February, great no apparent issue at this point; different sorry 9am 4th of February. Arrived on time turned in keys for service, did not get out until 1pm!!!!!! Please note: what was done in FOUR HOURS, oil change, replaced a bulb in a rear directional signal, and check front brakes pads. The general public must know that if they are charging by the hour, they have NO BUSINESS STEALING FROM THE PUBLIC AND OR FLEET CUSTOMERS!!!!! THEY ARE RUDE AND UNAPOLOGETIC FOR SERVICE NOT DONE IN A TIMELY MANNER!!!!! COMPANY I AM AFFILIATED WITH IS A WORLDWIDE CUSTOMER WHO PAYS INVOICES PROMPTLY!!!! Pep Boys has been around many years of providing quality service, this store in Westminster California not so much.

Not up to the task. Wheel balance took 7 hours with having time scheduled in advance. Very poor service. My wheel balance was not done properly and I had to return for the second time to read balance the wheel. But second time wheel balance was not successful and I have to take my car for third time.Do not recommend this place to anyone who plans to change tires

Customer service improved a lot since my last visit. Got an oil change here and the guys were nice. I can see its pretty lay back here but i felt uneasy about it. They have a Lyft thing there, wasnt sure what it was since no one attempted to assist me in the main store. Might get another oil change here but mostly because of location convenience

Called regarding a battery change for an 06 Chrysler Sebring. I’m a 27 year old woman and I was quoted $340. My dad was alarmed when I mentioned this and asked for the number so he could call, out of interest. They quoted him, a man in his 60s, $215. Ladies: stay far away.

Definitely the worst store as far as organization. Every time I call to see if a part is in stock, I am given an answer that the shelf is empty and it is on their delivery pallet waiting to be stocked. I would only go here for general purpose items.

Super rude customer service. I came in yesterday asking if I could have a tire patched up. I was told that if I was planning on coming in during rush hour time, I wouldnt be able to get help. Run down and unmaintained. Employees are great along with their services, but clearly need to be better support and by corporate, better pay and better everything. Get a larger dumpster too for F*sake so the trash isnt overflowing due to incompetent upper management and waste management company. My review will continue to decline each time I drive by and nothing has improved.

The staff here are great at working with you. If there is a problem, they go out of their way to fix it. Dont use the website to make appointments, call their service dept. They take much better care of getting you in than the website.

I’m a Lyft driver with the rental program so I have to use PepBoys for maintenance. First off if Anita (spelling) isn’t at work nobody will help you make an appointment. You will be told to call back another day. Now to what really pisses me off.You have to make an appointment for an oil change and that’s fine. Problem is even with an appointment it will still take hours to do a 15 minute job. One time they didn’t even pull my car in until 3 hours after my appointment time then took another hour to change the oil, 4 HOURS!!! So if your lucky enough that Anita is at work to even make an appointment you still have a long day ahead of you, bring a book.My friend went to have his breaks replaced and they insisted he needed new rotors, he refused and took the car elsewhere. He was told by the new mechanic that the rotors were fine and didn’t even need to be turned! I first hand saw them tell a old woman she needed new drums and blamed the rust layer that all drums get as the justification.Stay away from here, it’s one thing to be dishonest but slow also? Get it together PepBoys.EDIT - I’m not letting you know who I am so you can retaliate. You know what you guys do wrong. You are so bad that Hertz got an account with Firestone to give us more options. And FYI they are awesome! No appointment needed and 15-20 minutes for an oil change. I’ll never use you again and I’ll make sure every driver I speak to will also goto Firestone. I know Hertz is pushing Firestone when drivers come in also!

Didnt even make it to the place, I called to see if they can help remove a stripped drain bolt for the oil and the woman who answered kept insisting I would need a new oil pan as well and said they would not remove the bolt unless I replaced the pan because the inside threading might also have a 50% chance to be stripped if that were true I dont think the bolt would stay in there and hold oil pressure my car has 0 oil leaking! Terrible upsell tactics shameless theres a 100% chance Im going somewhere who knows what theyre doing

Came in without an appointment for a low tire pressure warning light that was “On”. Was told the wait would be two hours. Turned out it was 2 1/2 hours before they even got the vehicle into the service bay. Then they checked all four tire pressures and tires for leaks with nothing found. They returned my vehicle over an hour later with the warning light still on and without even mentioning the tire pressure sensors might be bad. Won’t be going back.

I have been to this shop for many times either for part services or for goods. Today I went there for just a patching due there is a nail on the rear tire, the guy suggest me to replace a new one which is fine, but the guy told me must replace ALL 4 tires at the same times because it is a SUV. I only want to replace 2 new tires at a time! So, nothing get to be done today, and tomorrow I have to go Elmore Toyata across from street because they are closed today....

The Lyft and Hertz rental is a nightmare to deal with. Its seems they have a personal vendetta against people renting the POS cars that are unsafe to drive and may have been used to house indigent homeless for ise as a bathroom. I see why Lyft stock is plumetting.

Copy/paste of my email to corporateI took my car to the store in Westminster California.I set an appointment for 11am and arrived at 9:45 in case an earlier time slot was available. My car was not into service until 11:45 only for the technician to then begin asking the assistant service manager (Edward) how to do the alignment. Edward then told me the only way they could set the alignment panels on my stock wheels would be an improper means that would cause damage. I said since I was also having a rotation done then why not break the outer beads to allow proper mounting. He said we are not going to do that for an alignment. I then asked him to get the store manager and he responded that he is the assistant service manager. I said then get the store manager. He just stood there so I said Ill go get the manager and that Ill be back in a minute. I then proceeded inside the store and asked the cashier for the store manager. She said that was her so she accompanied me to the service write up department where my car was already being taken out of the shop.She spoke with Edward and then left. Edward then told me I could try another pepboys and his technician handed me the keys. After that he just ignored me. So, after more than two hours of waiting I got zero service done and told to go somewhere else. I was a mechanic at Ford for five years and his excuse of they couldnt break the beads due to the tpms sensors in the wheel is a joke. If you cant do that then how do you change tires?I can tell you that I will never be taking my vehicle to any pepboys and will refer others not to take their vehicles either.On Easter Sunday that pepboys was the only option I had for my alignment and I really needed it done because I had replaced major suspension components the day before.
