Always seem to find good things here. Great coupons..have shopped here ever since its been in the Mall.

I really enjoy shopping at penneysI really dont like buying clothes on line. They have very nice merchandise, i get to try on the clothes, which i really like, i hope they stay around forever.

They have pretty good deals now. However this particular location is very old and in a state of disarray. I mean I am happy they are still open and in business. But they really need to wall the sections of the store off that could potentially be hazardous to customers, especially customers that bring their children shopping with them.

Was just ok. Wish they had a more stylish, and better stocked plus size section. Cashier was not very customer friendly. Knowing full well there were coupon discounts available, she never suggested any. I had to even have her re ring my purchase because she used a coupon code (I supplied/25%) instead of suggesting if I used my store cc (which I already told her I was going to do) I could receive a 30% discount instead. Havent shopped there in over a year... Wont be in a hurry to go back.

Nice store for being in westland mall which looks deserted.

Hadnt been here since the pandemic. Was impressed with the product available.

When they have a Clearance Sale they have the best prices. I found a Winter Coat Reg.price $80 for $17, $20 Leggings $10,Leopard print sweater $6 reg $34 and this was last month January. You still can find good deals on stuff in most departments even when there isnt a sale

JC Penney remains for me the classic retailer. I like going to this location for the convenience, name brands and sales. The clerks here are very helpful. The displays are put together attractively. Their decorating at the holidays is something I enjoy.

It was wonderful! I found 2 blouses and a Capri. Sales person was great. Its hard to find clothes I like anymore, because everyone is closing. Nowhere to go.

Not too much going on there these days as far as staff or customers maybe it will pick up later no bad experience though.

Overall I honestly prefer the Canton store which is closing and The twelve Oaks store compared to this location. This one just has the feel of a store thats been neglected over the years. The staff seems nice and helpful however the store is very dated and even some ceiling tiles are missing due to the water damage and tarps holding up to ceiling tiles in section upstairs. honestly I wish they would have kept the Canton location and closed this location because at least the Canton location is much more newer and up-to-date and cleaner. Ill try to do most of my shopping at the Novi store but if I absolutely need it quickly I guess Ill come to this location

Not a lot of plus size options, but what I did find was nice. Didnt necessarily like my cashiers attitude.

It was good. Except 2nd floor register finally found . Then it was closed. And was so hot in the store 2nd no air. Couldnt wait get to register at the door, leaving out the door. No a/c. Ug.

Short staff, bathrooms very untidy, and very dissatisfied there were no people in clothing department. Very unsatisfied. I am becoming very unhappy with JCPENNEY.☹

Store was clean but not enough help to assist in the ladies department .Also the cashier check out desk payment on account I discovered it was wasitful check it was given back after transaction of paying bill there must be a better way with a debit card .

I recently purchased two sets of window blinds From this location.The sales person, Mary, was absolutely awesome.HoweverI was a bit disappointedThatWhen they were delivered,Wasnt till they were installed that I realized That one of the sets was not what i ordered. I went back to the store and add usual, Mary was support pleasant. She realized she had ordered the wrong blinds and quickly rectified it. A new order was placed and I was told that Tino, the installer would be contacted regarding working something out so I dont have to pay again since it was a wrong order. Well, my new blinds came yestetday. Tino had not been called to schedyle the install, I have to call him myself, I was told and the manager will not do anything about me having to psy again. Also, I was told I have to bring the other blinds back to the store mysrlf. REALLT! Im 65 years old and you want me to load this huge box in my car and haul it through the STORE! Back to the2nd floor? That is absolutely madening. Mary was so nice and helpful as she could be but who the heck is this insensitive manager after Ive spent over $1K on blinds!?

JC Penney has the same quality that I have come to expect. Staff are friendly and helpful. They had exactly what I needed for my curtains.

Pros: One of the few remaining stores. It has two levels to accommodate the various departments, a public restroom is available. Good prices, especially on jewelry.Cons: one cashiering station available on the first floor. No associates to assist customers with selections, No plus size section (just general womens section) and indifferent staff.I would not go out of my way to shop here. I would use the website.

Went for a Christmas gift. Found what I wanted. Could not find an employee upstairs to get price on item. Went downstairs and cashier was awesome when we asked if there were any coupons to use online. She helped us to pull one up online. Saved a little money.

Like having three large stores to shop at. Great coffee shop to always meet friends. We have lots of friends in the mall. Havent seen them since virus.

What is going on at westland mall j.c. penney? the upper floor, specifically the lingerie dept. & childrens dept. are bare. looks like they are going under. no fitting room available in lingerie. not very convenient.

Got a great deal on towels and the staff was friendly.

Clean not enough help. People in long lines No to help customer have to look es person. Need benches where people can sit and wait as est off family or friends are still shopping and for handicap to rest.Went thru store on cane. To a employee I needed sit down. Cleared area where sweaters was being displayed. Was looking for luggage. Department was sweater section.All registered closed on the whole floor had to go where around the corner thru kitchen department, thru bedding department, to back of store still on second floor. To the area where you pay your bill at do return.Guests what used have benches to wait gone a line this Everyone had to go pay for purchase, and do returns. Now leaning on wall almost left luggage I was buying! weak.Now I had to walk back to front off building down to escalator to get to main floor thru three departments, mind no where to sit. Made it outside had to lean on building. Before attempted to creep in pain to car.Never go shopping if rest of departmentStores has removed the benches where customer can pull it together to spend money.Do not like shopping online. To do returns have to a pay return shipping fee.People wake up. Peoples losing jobs because to lazy to shop in person.And cooperate down sizing stores employees and treating them like dogs, working them in more than one department filling shelves, and sales clerk trying wait on people in different departments, paying minium wage and threatening them if they cannot keep up.Yet! They and their families are still living the good life.

I waited in line while watching customers walk up to the counter basically cut in line only to be directed upstairs to return items and wait in line there. If its this much trouble to shop at JCPenneys I may not shop there anymore.

The store was very helpful and everyone was spaced out and the staff smiled a lot.

Store is very empty. Had a hard time finding anything when, pre pandemic, I could always find exactly what I was looking for at good prices. On the other hand, if your looking for clearance, theres a 50/50 chance that if you can find what you need, its on clearance.

Quiet day at Jcpenny but the customer service was Great. I saved some $$$$$ and My associate was 0336 she was very friendly.

Dirty store, stained carpets, expired cola and stuff by the register. Told the cashier and she actually said oh well maybe thats why there bankrupted

Thank you SO much to Lorie. I drove out here in search of a specific shirt that I seen was carried here when I looked online. I wasn’t able to find it so Lorie searched the store high and low until she found it. She showed excellent customer service and really went above and beyond!

One of my favorite stores. Unfortunately the service today was not satisfying. Why did they move returns to one location withh one person managing the lines. I Understand the logic to have the others registers available for new purchases, I am a customer as well where is the convenience for us . Just a thought to consider especially with the holidays coming.

Unproductive. I went for the buy one get two free boot sale in an attempt to knock out winter boots for three kids. Daughter found several tempting pairs. None available for boys. Not one! This was not the sale advertised.

Stuff is always on sale, but the Vans shoe selection was not very good...The staff is always friendly to me and my son!

Late Sunday afternoon: store did have customers, but not very many. Still, not as sad looking inside as some other retail stores weve been in recently. Check out lady was very pleasant - and as with recent visit to K**ls (same mall), pricing was excellent: equal or better than The Big River, with advantage of getting to try things on. Weve been trying to buy more stuff from locally (vs online), but it does take an effort to break the online habit... Would visit again, especially given ability to check store stock online before driving over.

Jessica the manager did a terrific job on my wash dry trim straighten . I love my hair!! I received lots of compliments 😁

They had everything i wanted and there was no line at check out.

Bought two big toys upstairs and the cashier was nice. As I was walking out I decided I would like to have another bag. Cashier in the men’s section said she was not allowed to do that and refused to give me an extra bag. Poor customer service in my opinion.

Clean store. The register clerks were organized and friendly. But, When I had to do a return over the weekend...the clerk told me to go upstairs. Yet the other clerk was doing a return and exchange for another customer. As I got off the escalator and asked where was the return desk...that clerk told me to step over she could take care of my return. So, I guess it depends on who wants to help out at that moment.

Many of the products are of really good quality thereby justifying the price point. But if having a jcp credit card and spending a mint is the only way to save 30%, I wonder if this is the best way of being fiscally responsible.

Scott and Kathy in the mens Dept were so helpful. My sons measurements were gladly taken for my daughters upcoming wedding and we were shown the clothes then allowed the freedom to enjoy the selections without being hoovered or pushed to a purchase. A beautiful suit was found. Many clearance items too, so great deals on the dress shirt and belt. When we rang out the savings for coupons and other special pricing was astounding, uplifting, and frankly...tearfully joyful. Thanks JCP manager whos name I dont know, Scott who rung us up, and Kathy who measured and encouraged. Great teamwork.

They have beautiful dresses here. But my mom bought her dress here for mt wedding a few days before but the day of the wedding while dressed I noticed they didnt remove the alarm tag. She was so upset n returned the dress n shoes. Ruined her day cause w she looked forward to wearing that beautiful dress n matching shoes.

I didnt really have time to look at clothes. My girlfriend wanted to go somewhere else to eat. Westland mall only has 3 places to eat at. But l do like Penneys.

JCPENNEY always has nice things. Got a pretty dress for me and a lovely necklace for my daughters U of M graduation. Employees are very helpful and friendly 👍.

I had the absolute worst experience today while there. I was going to purchase an ayxl too today which the sign showed was $49 on sale for $24.99 and the lady at the register kept arguing with me saying it was $50 and it was under the “new arrivals” section. There was only two of those shirts in the store and I tried them on and to be nice brought the one that didn’t fit and hung up back up in the section I got it from. And she told me it was my fault because I put the shirt back in the wrong place! So she wouldn’t give it to me for the sale price. I don’t work there, I didn’t have to put it back after I tried it on at all! So I left without purchasing it and will go and buy something from amazon now because of this horrible customer service. And you guys wonder why the Westland mall is going under? Maybe have better customer service!

The store is clean, organized, and easy to shop. The employees are always pleasant and helpful. They have fitting rooms and public restrooms. They also have a wide selection of shoes for ther whole family. I love their make up selections and jewelry. I personally did not purchase anything from this store because there are 2 stores in this mall that offer the same clothing for almost half ther prices. I would recommend this location to anyone looking for quality merchandise and dont mind paying a little more.

I love when you have a courteous polite cashier. JCPenney is really stepping up with the more affordable items with extra discounts. Love It!

I was highly satisfied with my experience due to the help of Charlie, team member. Charlie helped me find the perfect outfit at the right price. He was extremely patient and knowledgeable. I usually do not shop at JCpenney but I am planning on returning simply because I received incredible customer care. Also, Charlie showed me how to order from online and pick up in store-Wow!! such an incredible shopping experience, the absolute best I ever had at any store.
