First of all this IS a business. They are there to make money. If you have money and you care about your vehicle you will take it to Phil and his team at Master Muffler West Valley. They will get the necessary repairs done properly. I have been going to this Master Muffler for about 17 years. I drive a 2003 Dodge Intrepid that always needs repairs. And since I have the money and want my car to perform at its best, I got to Master Muffler. AND YOU SHOULD TOO...10/27/21 UPDATE;Thank you again Phil and your crew. My car means everything to me. It is my only means of getting around due to my disabilities. I have had many opportunities to use other repair facilities. And for all major repairs I got to this Master Muffler.

After being ripped off by several mechanics these guys have my car running on point! My car is old & it took a few separate repairs to figure it all out but they did it! car in & out quick same day kept me up dated, called me Miss Cindy that was appreciated, Car finally running great!

Needed my muffler fixed. Google these guys, took car over. They gave me a $406.41 estimate. They said the muffler could not be reused. The auto parts guy was right, these jokers are a rip off. When the old man ran the business, it was the place to go to. STAY AWAY FROM THIS PLACE....

I have had an oil leak on my BMW E46 for the longest, and even after replacing everything that was supposedly wrong with it, nothing had fixed it. After 5 minutes inside their shop, we diagnosed, fixed the leak, and now i no longer have to spend $100+ in oil every week 😎Liked it so much I even applied to work here.

So i brought my car in for an oil change and paid up front they got my car in and out quick 2 months later maybe 1,000 milesmy car says low oil. I check dip stick theres hardly any oil in there and its black . Oil two days later said oil change neexed. So essentially my car still has vad oil in it a d didnt recieve an oil change seeing that it supposed to be good for another 5,000 miles according to their sticker. Will never go there again they took my money and did not provide service that i paid for simple as that

I have been very impressed with Phil and his team, They have been able to solve all my vehicle issues from bad wires to brakes and shocks to a/c that needed special attention. These guys are absolutely the Best!! Was in a crunch mode as I was only in town for 2 days and had to be in Park City in 2 hours when I noticed my brakes were grinding...Called Adam, and he got me in, and performed a thorough inspection of my car. They were so fast and their prices were good. Would absolutely recommend and on top of this, Adam is so polite and helpful. I had my very large German Shepherd with me, and he actually got along with my dog and helped me so that I didnt have to bring her into the shop at all. Awesome guys! Traveling through a town as a full time RVer, it can sometimes be difficult to find the right place to get work done, as RV repair shops are always booked-up. They were able to see me right away and were friendly as could be. They spot welded my generator exhaust pipe on for me, after I explained how it had been falling off, and the original clamp didn’t seem to want to hold it on anymore. I was back on the road in 10 minutes or less and I won’t even mention how little they charged. Awesome customer service!

Straw that broke the camels back guys. Ive been a loyal customer for quite some time and go out of my way to use your services. The past few times I have been in the service has been below par, as much as Phil has corrected any of the issues. Today I called in and asked if I could get an emmision and state sticker and was told no problem and then said Id be there in a half hour. When I got there, there was a truck blocking the emmision garage getting an exhaust job and was told it would not be done until tomorrow. Also that the truck was there for at least the past hour.Last time.

These guys are studs! I am very particular with my vehicles and maybe even a little OCD. That being said, I brought my 2017 Ram Power Wagon in to have the exhaust done. Service was timely and the guys were fun to talk to.I really appreciate any shop that lets me watch them do work on my vehicles. I was in the pit with them seeing everything they were doing, and we really hit it off.I can’t recommend the shop enough. I used to drive all the way to cache Valley Utah, to go to a muffler shop there. But I do believe I’ve found a new favorite!Happy customer, I will be back for sure and refer my friends to you!

Absolutely 5-star. The shop has been there my whole life (I remember the sign as a kid in the 80s) so its an old shop, but fancy shops come with fancy prices and fancy B.S. in my experience. Also, the staff is freaking awesome. The price was hundreds less than I expected. Good quality work and excellent business ethics. I will be back.

I went for an emissions test and to renew my vehicle registration. In doing my research, they had one of the higher fees for the test at $35 but I found a coupon for $10 off, but had called to ask about a renewal fee and they said it was a $10.00 charge so I knew what I was in for. I got there and they were super friendly, knowledgeable and pretty quick! And at the register they rang me up, I gave them the coupon and they said the NEVER charge a renewal fee, since it is all done electronically and they have no incentive to charge for it! So I saved money without expecting it! I will recommend them to everyone I know! They are AWESOME!

I came into the West Valley Master Muffler & Brake with my check engine light on and I knew I had multiple codes that were coming up. I thought that I was going to have to get expensive work done on my car but was told that the codes might clear with an oil change that also cleaned things out. When I got my car back after the oil change the check engine light didnt come back on. With my check engine light throwing multiple codes, I know I could have been taken advantage of and told that I needed several things done on my car to clear all the codes but these guys knew their stuff and were incredibly honest and suggested the oil change first, as it was the most cost effective, before any other work was done. I will definitely continue bringing my car here as I feel the employees here are trustworthy, knowledgeable, and have great customer service!

This place is amazing. I called from another shop that were charging me for work i couldnt afford or needed. Phil was great. He told me to come and they would fix it even though he would be working past closing. The price was reasonable. When i told him what happened and the other place refused to help even though my bad brakes put a huge safety risk on me. Phil actually cared about me and my son. He said all care about is your safety. I knew then that money wasnt his first concern. Then when i got there he was personable and i could tell he loves his job. I didnt realize i had a nail in a tire and instead of just trying to sell me something they offered to repair it for small fee. How refreshing to find a place that cares about their customers, does a great job and even goes the extra mile to help people. I also found out after asking about a repair i needed on another vehicle that they are a full service center ...not just mufflers and brakes. They are certified so i feel i can trust their work. I was definitely treated with respect which is nit always the case when a woman takes a vehicle for repair without a man. Some places we just want to take advantage of women. I would highly recommend this business.

This is my first time here. I was helped almost as soon as I walked in. I got an estimate in just a few minutes and I approved them to change my muffler because I thought that it was a reasonable price (dont know because I didnt check anywhere else). Gone to this shop a couple times. Everytime Im always impressed. They do an excellent job at sticking to what you asked for, while bringing up other safety concerns they see. Never once have they come off as a shop thats just trying to take me for everything they can. They also do a wonderful job explaining why its important. On the 4th of July, on my way down Little Cottonwood Canyon, my car started to have a severe wobble when braking. This morning I started calling around to the best rated auto shops in my area. Most of them were booked up and not too friendly. When I called Master Muffler and Brakes, Adam answered the phone and said they had someone available to look at it NOW! First dream come true. They were able to diagnose the issues and price parts/labor for me very quickly despite being fairly busy. They took time to get to know my situation and order parts accordingly (instead of ordering the most expensive parts automatically). They were able to get the job done quickly and when they called me to let me know my car was ready, they informed me that they did not need to replace the brake pads and that it would be cheaper than I expected! Second dream come true. I highly recommend this shop for any and all brake issues. Thanks guys.

Was here for what I thought was a simple fix on my 13 ford escape. Turned out my entire muffler was bent. They were able to fix it within an hour without making me buy a new one. Got me on my trip. Would recommend to anyone, entire staff was amazing.

I wanted to do a last minute pre-purchase inspection on the vehicle I was looking to buy, and I was about an hour away. They told me the inspection takes about forty five minutes. Got there at about about 5:20- 5:25 (they close at 6) and they were so friendly and Phil said he would still do the inspection, and started on it as soon as they were finished with the car ahead of mine.. I have gone to another repair shop for years. They told me the problem was in my catalytic converter. The other repair shop ended up quoting a much higher price than master muffler, and the quote they gave was for something completely different than what the actual problem was. Master Muffler ran a very thorough test and told me what the actual problem was. They let me know every step of the way what was going on and were very friendly and easy to work with. I have a few more things I would like to do to my exhaust system, and will definitely be going to them in the future.

We all know that a good honest mechanic is incredibly hard to find. Go talk to Phil and stop looking. Ive dealt with him for years through a variety of cars. Hes proven himself invaluable at solving problems with my daily and track cars. Hes has never overcharged me (which is easy to do with custom cars) and frequently surprises me with lower than expected bills. You can always find somewhere with less experience and low quality parts to do the job for a few bucks less. However, if you want quality work, real parts, true advice, and a very fair price, go talk to Phil.

I wanted a performance muffler on my 2015 Silverado. I wanted a deep sound with a growl in the tailpipe. They had it done in an hour at a fraction of the cost of what I looked at after shopping around. Love the sound and the performance of the muffler. They do great work at a great price.I’ve also had my AC checked and refilled. Good work and the cost was as expected.

I just got a great deal on my trucks new muffler. They got going on it quick and stand behind their work. I have been coming here to this master Muffler since dual exhaust on my 57 Chevy Belair in 1974. Long time customer.

Master Muffler is a friendly place to bring your car or truck in. My wife brought her 2001 Jetta in for a muffler they helped her and were fast. I brought in my 1990 truck in to get the horn fixed and safety omissions test done. They were super friendly helpful and pretty fast and were honest and showed me the problem with the horn. So I would recommend Master Muffler to anyone else.

Came here for an emergency repair mid trip from Oregon to Florida. Suddenly our car stopped shifting from 3rd. Adam was great in assisting us right away and telling us what our issue was. Brent is a very bad manager and does not go an extra mile to make sure things are done in the right way. I had to replace the wheels log nut bolts, and because my Ford (2007) is a pretty old car - its hard to find the right log nut key. (Ford is just not manufacturing them anymore due to their low quality) Brent was able to replace bad log nuts that were over twisted. The reason why they were over twisted is because I replaced tires in location in Provo and they did it. However, this is my first car and I didnt have that much understanding of whats going on.Brent gave me a piece of paper to sign and distracted me, and that piece of paper basically was saying that I do not have any problems in the shop. This was done in a very secret way that when I realized that I signed it - I regretted it. I could of take the case to the court because those employees in Provo could of cause the car accident and they did put my life in danger by over twisting the bolts. Thats how great of a company this is. Dont waste your time with them, find a better one.

I needed a catalytic converter for my neon. I was able to come by and get in line almost right away. I am very pleased that I can get it done today and not be without a car for several days. Thanks Master Muffler.

My truck broke down on the road and I had it towed to Master Muffler in West Valley because it had such good reviews. However, when I got to the shop I saw that they offer a discount for positive reviews - very misleading. They replaced the clutch and sent me on my way. A week or so later the clutch froze up and I had to get it towed back in and they replaced the master and slave cylinders. I kept having to tow or drive the truck in every couple Saturdays to get the air out of the hydraulic system and get new fluid put in. After about 6 months or so of bringing the truck in every 2-4 weeks, they said that there was nothing else they could do for me. They referred me to the Ford dealership who said they would need to replace the entire system again. Lesson: DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR TO MASTER MUFFLER IN WEST VALLEY because they deliver an inferior service and do not stand by their work. DO NOT BE FOOLED BY THE POSITIVE REVIEWS like I was.

My dad went there for service on his car and Was overcharged for a part. After talking with the manager and corporate he was able to know why he was overcharged and the manager is looking into his distributor for these parts. They have really really good customer service and we will go back.

I talked to Phil Bailargeon on the phone before I came in and he was super helpful and polite. He also helped me the whole time I was at Master Muffler. I came in to get my air conditioner fixed. They let me know what was wrong, what needed to be done, and how much it would cost BEFORE they did it. They asked my permission to do anything and then got everything done in a timely manner. Ill definitely be coming back!

Went to Master Mufflers 3 or 4 times to get my car fixed. They said that there was this problem and that problem that would cost around $600 to fix. I didnt have them fix it. I went to my uncle who was a mechanic, got the parts that was around $180-$200 and fixed it within half an hour to an hour and even told me that the parts that they said needed fixing had no problems with it.Went back to get a diagnostic on it for the last problem for my uncle who didnt have the machine to find it. Didnt even use a smoke evap to find the leak like my uncle needed them to do. Instead, they left a bolt out in my car. My uncle had to slam the loose part back in and said it would be fine for now. Worse mechanics Ive been to and overprice their labor thats not even worth paying for.

Had my exaust system replaced. The tech did a great job and was very proffessional and fast. Adam quoted me a fair price, but after checking, I was told that the muffler I needed was out of stock. So Adam upgraded to a better muffler and gave it to me at the quoted price. This was a great experience and I highly recommend this shop to anyone needing service work done.
