Fast, honest service. Owner, Bill fixed my problem I thought would cost hundreds of dollars as a replacement. He called and told me I needed a part. He also checked other systems that could have been a problem. Owner Bill was courteous, professional and social. I will be returning for further repairs of my ageing vehicle.

Avoid this place. An employee (whom I was told is the owner), assisted a criminal get away from a hit and run that occurred near this location. This employee then threatened me when I took his tag info. A hit and run occurred near this location. The guy who caused the accident fled. An employee/owner of Affordable Transmission gave this guy a ride away from the area. I took the tag info down when they left. When the employee/owner returned, he threatened me for having taken his tag info. All information has been reported to Palm Springs Police Dept. If these people are willing to assist criminals flee the scene of an accident, I would NOT trust them with my car.

I cant say enough good things about the work done by this shop. My MiniVan was breaking, and with the age of the transmission it needed rebuilt. I visited a few transmission shops in West Palm Beach before Affordable Transmission. I normally do all the work on my car, and talking with the other shops I did not feel that they would take care of my problem as I needed. When I talked to Affordable Transmission, everything was answered the way I needed to know. When I got the car back, the transmission was better than new! They asked me to bring it back in month to do a check up. They were the only shop to give me a price range based on if they could re-use any parts after inspection. In my case they could not, but it was nice that they try to do the job at a reasonable cost. After the job was done, the price was $400 lower than any other place and I feel that the quality of work was way superior to the other shops. I would not hesitate to go back to Affordable Transmission if I needed transmission work done. Thanks a lot!

STAY AWAY!If you value customer service and quality work, stay away from Affordable Transmission.Had the transmission in our Dodge Journey fail in JAN 2020 and towed to Affordable Transmission for repair due to them offering a 2 year warranty for repairs (Dont fall for it). Less than a year later, the transmission has failed again.I called prior to bringing my vehicle back in, to get the best time, because it is relied upon and I couldnt be without it for multiple days. I was told to bring it in the following Monday morning and it would be seen immediately (it was NOT)I brought my vehicle back to Afforfable, because of the warranty, and was told that I also needed a camshaft sensor replaced. Having read the codes prior to dropping it off, I was already aware of the sensor and agreed, but inquired about the torque converter clutch solenoid (the REAL issue) as it was the reason for bringing it in (covered under warranty) They brushed that off and said it would be good to go.The vehicle wasnt seen for almost an entire day, even after coordinating the best time for THEM, resulting in a missed day of work for me and an additional $70 in Lyft fees because their office personnel mistakenly called and told me the vehicle was ready for pickup when it wasnt.Finally get the vehicle back after another day and $275 for the camshaft sensor. The transmission started throwing codes again less than 30 miles later.I brought it back AGAIN (because the warranty) and they started off by saying it needed a camshaft sensor (weird, right?). I informed them that they did that a couple days ago and they had the audacity to ask for proof (what business doesnt keep their own records?). Sent proof of the sensor replacement (with 6mo. Warranty) along with the original transmission work (with 2yr. Warranty) and it has now been 2 weeks. No calls or updates from them and they no longer answer my phone number. Prior to them dodging calls, I got in contact with them 3 separate times, each time being told that the employee had my number, would get an update, and call me back. No calls were ever made.Bottom Line: Untrustworthy and unprofessional establishment, take your vehicle somewhere else and get it fixed correctly the first time.

I cant say enough good things about Affordable Transmission.They replaced the transmission in my Toyota. They provided me all the available options, including the less expensive options and helped me to make the best decision.In a job like this, you would expect some things to go wrong or a lot of issues. There were no issues at all! The car runs perfect, and they kept the interior extremely clean (Very important these days!). Bill and his team over at affordable transmission gave me nothing but the upmost respect for my vehicle. I had a major job that needed to be done, and before leaving the truck there I did my fair share of homework before deciding that the work I was looking for needed to be done.... I had my transmission rebuilt, they also put a custom driveshaft in for me, serviced my diff. And made sure that every other component was at its best. I asked for 💯 % they gave me 110%. June was also a major help. She happens to work at the front desk and is very professional! They were also very understanding to the fact that I was working on a budget also. Affordable transmission is true to its name and I highly recommend anyone that is considering major work or basic services work consider taking there vehicle there. They also kept me informed daily on the progress made. I couldn’t ask for a better team or a better outcome. THIS COMPANY DELETES BAD REVIEWSFirstly, Im not sure how this place has the stars it does. IF YOU LIKE YOUR CAR, DO NOT - DO NOT BRING YOUR CAR HERE. My boyfriend was supposed to be having his Chevy trailblazers transmission worked on and they did absolutely nothing. The truck ran prior to having them work on it and when we went to get it, it did not run at all. The transmission was not rebuilt, we know that because my boyfriend is a mechanic himself and he snapped an important bolt on the transmission pan before we gave it to them to work on. The owner of the company lied to our faces claiming he wasnt the owner. We had a police officer come file a report because his radio was cut out of his dash as well. Thats when she proceeded to tell us that he was in fact the owner and she comes to this place filing reports quite often and even took it upon herself to report them to the better business bureau because of the fact. Because it seems to be that this company deletes the bad reviews hence why it has almost five stars when it definitely shouldnt; I will repost my review as many times as needed (I copied it) (: We also have a video of the lovely experience. You can also go on to PBC clerk and comptroller public records for further investigation. Theyve got plenty of lawsuits.

Absolutely the best repair service I have ever had in a repair shop I don’t usually write a review but this one is worthy and deserving of it 10 stars if possible, my transmission went out blew up and I had no idea where to take it after reading all the reviews I decided to give them a try and still holding my breath because Transmission shops don’t have the Best reputations but this one does, let me tell you they sent a tow truck right away (no charge) and they sent a mechanic and June to baby sit the car until the truck got there so I could get out of the heat and go on about my day. Bill the manager is one of the best he took charge and I told him I had an extended warranty but getting them to cover something wasn’t easy Bill got it covered including a rental car He waited on the phone for hours to get through to them the car is an Audi And not easy to get parts for or fix Because it’s an older sports car not to mention dealing with the pandemic slow down. June who works there was always sweet and courteous whenever I called which was daily and Octavio the owner was one of most honest person I have ever meet Bill and Octavio quoted me a price and they stuck with it no surprises in fact there was a credit to my bill and they gave me the credit back who does THAT ! they could have kept it And I would have never knownAbout it. They rebuilt the transmission at half of what a new one would of cost and the car runs great now.

The transmission in my wifes 2012 Ford Escape dumped all of the hydraulic fluid on the driveway. It was her only means of transportation. I read all of the excellent reviews on Google for Affordable Transmission so I decided to give them a try. They arranged a free tow and inspected the SUV for free as well. The front seal had blown out and destroyed the pump and the torque converter. Bill gave me a phenomenal price and they completed the job within a few days on time. This id the only place in Palm Beach County to take a vehicle that needs transmission work.

This review is going to seem like a small novel.On a rainy night, at a red light, in Pompano Beach, the transmission of my 2006 GMC Yukon XL Denali all-wheel drive just died. No warning it just came apart when the light turned green and I was stranded in the rain on Federal highway on a Friday night.Broward sheriffs office showed up to see if I was okay and then pushed me out of the road to wait for the tow truck.While I was waiting for the tow truck, I was searching the internet looking for affordable transmission places that could help me out locally. Google is a powerful tool, because the next morning Google had either reached out to, or alerted a transmission company in lake Worth called Affordable Transmission.At 6:45 a.m. I got a call from Bill at affordable transmission who offered to get involved and help me immediately. He noticed that Ive been searching for help. Thats when Bills had something incredibly strange..... He said that they would come and get my truck, and then deliver it to me when it was repaired. I thought to myself, Thats a great deal! And I asked okay where are you located? You informed me that they were in West Palm Beach / Lake Worth. No way! The towing was going to be too expensive!And thats when bed Bill said the craziest thing, No no no! Its included in the service.Please keep in mind that my transmission imploded. 14 years old And the transmission just let go...... Stay tuned for second chapter.

My transmission went on Memorial Day at 6 in the morning. Called a few places as times online said they were opening. One place answered and was rude asking why I was calling on a holiday. Like I know whos open or not. Affordable Transmission had good reviews and I called and they were open. Bill answered the phone, extremely nice. Asked if I needed a tow or could I get it there. The price he gave me was amazing compared to what I was finding online. Bill and his crew went above and beyond fixing some things I asked about for very little money. There were some things I didnt even know about that they fixed, no extra charge, no questions asked or hidden fees. He sent me pictures as the job progressed. They even delivered my car to my house. 200 to 300 mile, free recheck and 1 year free recheck and 2 year warranty. I got a price for a CV axle for my sons car and had to call back confirming the price and what it included, awesome price. My 10 year old scion xb is driving like brand new for very little money. I was expecting to say its not worth putting that much money into the car because I thought it was going to cost more than the car was worth based on costs I was, finding online. Not even close, but everyone else was. Beyond happy with them. I highly recommend them to all. They specialize in transmission but do everything else too. Ask for Bill. He will most likely be the one that answers anyway. Fantastic service!!

Well I had some issues that were resolved, it did take a while but they did resolve all of my issues, very friendly people, Bill took responsibility for the repair and honored the warranty! Patience and being professional I believe was the key... The job was a total breakdown of the transmission and I know it cost them a lot of time and money to re-do this unit, but they did not charge anything more to make it right. Im a happy customer in the end.

First of all -- ask for Bill! He genuinely cares about your car, about what you have to say about your car, and he explains everything you want or need to hear in a matter-of-fact, friendly, and professional way, every time!I initially got my transmission rebuilt here with factory parts (for a slightly higher cost ~5-10%) because I wanted to have the 1-year / 12k mile warranty. It was a fantastic job, and I was back in business.My engine had a severe misfire, and ultimately that caused some part of my new transmission to become (to use Bills words) pulverized to the point where it would no longer engage or drive. I called Bill, got towed in, and my transmission was repaired again at no cost to me, completely honoring the warranty I had!I was so pleased with the service, I decided to bite the bullet and had Bill and his excellent mechanic Harlan rebuild my engine (at a very fair and reasonable price compared to my research and experience) both to have a fixed engine, and to prevent the transmission from becoming ruined again.This was a huge job for them, and it took some time, but I could not be more pleased with the outcome. My SUV is 11 years old, and it now drives like a racecar off the line, smooth as can be shifting, getting better gas mileage than ever before, and Im proud and happy to be in my vehicle now.I feel like I have practically a new SUV now, and I would definitely redo the entire experience with Bill and Affordable if I had the need to do it again!I got top notch service and results all the way!

This transmission store was fantastic. I couldnt have asked for anything better. The price was affordable, the care they offered was perfect (They even offered to drive me home after i dropped off the car), and it was done in a timely manner. Do not let Affordable work on your transmission, they cant do the work ! One of my cars been in and out of this shop 13 times and it is still not working properly! Sometimes Affordable had my car for 4 and 6 weeks at a time ! There are always packed because people keep bring there car back !😤😤

I would never bring a car to them again. I bought a car in 2012 that had the transmission rebuilt by them prior to buying it. The transmission lasted less than a year and I was told it was under warranty by them. When I brought the car in they didnt want to honor the warranty. They eventually agreed to fix it. When I got my car back they had used my entire tank of gas and there were empty food wrappers in the car, of which they denied. The transmission once again lasted about four months. I brought it back to them again and paid them to have it rebuilt. Six months later the transmission failed again. I brought it back with the warranty paperwork and they claimed what broke in the transmission wasnt under warranty. They once again eventually agreed to fix it after arguing back and forth. Once again, four months later the transmission failed again. I asked around and found another shop to bring it to that was recommended from a friend. I explained the situation and once they took it apart they told me that the previous rebuilds were done incorrectly and all the parts that should have been replaced werent, which is what resulting in the repeated failures. I havent had a single problem since then.EDIT: I recently saw the response from the business. Bill was the person I dealt with who repeatedly argued claiming the warranty HIS company provided me with was invalid. The vehicle warranty information was under Bills friend, Steve, who owned a used car business. Steves business sold me the vehicle from. As other negative reviews stated, Bill attempts to scare people into deleting negative comments to hide the shady actions of his business. DO NOT bring your vehicle to this business. I have all the paperwork to prove any the fraudulent repairs they claimed they made. There are multiple claims against them via the Better Business Bureau for dishonest work. Avoid this place!

I wish I could leave NO STARS FOR THESE HORRIBLE SERVICES. they will try to scam and steal your money!! Never ever go here please. I let them swipe my card and was told 150$ would come out, next thing I know I see 500$ taken out of my account!! I am enraged and DISGUSTED with the manager of this place. The manager bill was extremely rude and even had the audacity to call me a liar when I told him my situation ! Please save yourself from going through this as well.

BEWARE This company should be investigated by the IRS and shut down immediately. Bill & Scott tried scamming my mother out of quite a bit of money. My mom went to get her car fixed at this establishment (If you can even call it that). After leaving her car here and having to pay for a rental, one day she decides to pop up there to see the progress of the work they had done to her surprise no one was working on her car. Not only was there no one working on the car there was grease all over the car parts thrown on top of the hood. Bill reassured her everything was fine and she would be notified when the car was fixed. Fast forward to her picking up her car, my mom tried to pay for the services with her debit card. Bill tells her you can save $120 if you pay with a check/cash, so my mom proceeds to write him a check. He tricks her into writing a blank check by saying he has a stamp for checks. 3 days later my mom gets a call from her bank stating a man was there and he was trying to cash the check to himself (not the buisness account 😤) my mom advises the bank not to cash the check. Then a half hour later a call from rhe check cashing story saying the same thing. At this point we have retained an attorney in this matter. Just trying to make sure this doesnt happen to anyone else.

I usually do not trust mechanics 💯%, but Bill the owner seems like one of the few honest and caring ones. I definitely recommend and they have a customer for life in me

Great service! Bill has been my go to guy when it comes to ANYTHING dealing with my car. The guys there are fast, clean, and helpful. I moved father away from them, but still would not go anywhere else for any of my car problems.

Bill told me I needed my transmission rebuilt and he would put in a new ABS. He told me it would be 2 days fixed. They had my car for 21 days. When I got it back the muffler was not attached, I now had an engine light on, it leaked transmission fluid, and there was a dirty old ABS in my vehicle which was not even bolted down. They kept taking my vehicle and it would come back with even more things wrong including the fan motor disconnected for the AC and they put a piece of paper in the dash to cover the ABS light that was on. I drove my vehicle a total of 150 miles when the whole transmission seized up and burned and no longer functioned in any gear.Took them to court and got ALL my money back. The judge told the owner of the company that he better mediate it with me as he was not going to have a favorable outcome if it came before him with all the evidence I had of this shaddy company not repairing my vehicle and just taking my money. Palm Springs Police know how this company scams poor individuals every day, there are tons of reports on them.Department of Agriculture and Consumer Services has many reports on this business and there are numerous reports in the Palm Beach courthouse for small claims suits against them!

After purchasing a 2008 Acura TL, I needed some work done such as motor mount replacement (All 3), especially having almost 100k Miles!Bill is the man to go to! He beat out Tires Plus pricing by 50% and to top it off, he used genuine Honda/Acura parts.After the installation was complete, he showed me the old, broken mounts and even showed me the boxes with that the new parts came in.What an honest mechanic!Please consider Affordable Transmission for ALL your vehicle maintenance needs!I will go to him for timing belt and other work soon!

Terrible experience with affordable transmission! Took my transmission to get rebuilt and within the month I had same issue so I took it back to get repaired and 2 months later I again had same issue! At that point I had taken car back which they had for about 4 weeks due to the builder is not in house. So after a month without a vehicle I got my car back which still doesn’t feel right but nonetheless I have my car. After being told different things were done to car after 3rd time being there I asked for a scope of work on what was done to my car during the duration of the 4 weeks and continued to be told they will get it to me time and time again. After calling and speaking to owner he refused to give me details on what was done and tells me if I have any issues refer back to original warranty agreement. Yeah because he doesn’t want to honor the rest of the work that was done. Terrible customer service followed by terrible craftsmanship which half of the work is outsourced to a different shop! Will never go back or recommend anyone else go there!

Just recently got my car back today. The manager Bill has been really helpful and patient throughout this entire process. They could never tell you what is really wrong with your vehicle and when you take it back before you warranty runs out they give you the run around. If you dont care how much you spend to fix your vehicle and dont care about how they lie to you by all means take a chance, But remember there nice to you at first, But run in to a problem youll see how they act .

Scott and Bill at Affordble Transmissions tried to scam my mother out of $1,600.Scott had her write a check for $1600 to rebuild her transmission....Before filling out the pay to portion of the check, Scott at the front desk stopped her and said he had an, Affordable Transmission stamp, for that part. So in trusting Scott she handed him a blank check for $1,600.Well a couple days later a check cashing store calls my mom and asks if she wrote a check to Scott Desane for $1,600... Huh? (thats weird, Scott is a front desk employee.) The check should have been stamped and made out to, Affordable Transmissions, not Scott.My mom says no, and the check cashing store confiscated the check from Bill....Huh (Bill is a manger their, why is he cashing a check for Scott a front desk employee...)So the next day Scott began harassing my mother and threatening police etc....All she ever asked was to speak with the owner and they always refuse ..Mind you, at this point, my mom is starting to believe that her transmission never got rebuilt...So at this point Were Fed up... WE WILL SEE YOU IN COURT... I have never in my life of 38 years seen anything like this... Everyone please be careful and Always make your checks to the Payee yourself....Unfortunately Good reviews, no Longer mean your safe from scams on the internet....SMH...

Scott and Bill tricked me into writing a blank check and the check cashing store stopped them from cashing the check... Scott at Affordable Transmissions told me they would stamp Affordable Tramissions and then come to find out . Actually put scott Desane name... I hope the owner finds out about this scam and mr Bill and Scott get fired.... This not right... Bill tried to cash the check that Scott put in his name instead of Affordle transmissions....They also damaged my car....
