I turned to this shop after my VW dealership said no trouble found with a complaint I had. This shop quickly diagnosed my problem. Even though I told them that Id have my dealer do the fix (under warranty) the shop didnt mind and treated me great. Respectful and knowledgeable people!

I had some engine overheating problems, they came to a conclusion after I paid that dreaded $180 at the dealership only to have them tell me, basically, nothing was wrong with my car. I walked right in after doing hours and hours of research, just for these guys to say, its the water pump...A few hours later and a $810 Fix, my 2014 BMW X3 was back on the road, and running smoothly.

Needed a new coolant expansion reservoir and flush. Did for 380 dollars. Did this the next day and finished quickly. Initially I went to elite auto specialist. They wanted to charge $612 and also did charge $140 for diagnostic tests even though we showed them where the leak was.

I will admit, without Vince this place wouldn’t deserve the full 5 stars.. but that’s not necessarily a bad thing. I think the main reason why this is such a great and successful shop is because Vince works so closely with his team and doesn’t let management get in the way of getting his own hands dirty! This helps with quality work and shows he cares more about the shop than just sitting at his desk and letting his techs do all the work without knowing what’s going on. The techs all seem great and the tech that worked on my car had a hefty job and so far, he brought it back to full health and I’m satisfied with the outcome. Even with the very minor issue that brought me back, Vince didn’t hesitate to correct the problem. In the end, although I hope nothing major brings me back to the shop, I wouldn’t go anywhere else. Edit: I just barely noticed today what GA replied to my review and I wanted to clear up what the misunderstanding was. No, it wasn’t that I didn’t know when my appointment was, and they forgot to remind me?I wanted the price included in a text/email format to have proof so they wouldn’t flop their quotes once it’s time to pay. And THEY forgot when my appointment was. I was just being generous with my original review.What happened is that I came in to get my 2012 Mini fixed. They said $1,000 is what it would cost. I told them that’s great because everyone else was quoting way higher. So I scheduled an appointment for the following week, brought my car early in the morning as asked, I come in and no one is aware that I’m scheduled. Everyone looked very confused, finally they said it will just take a day longer. During the first day, the manager calls me and double checks with me what price was set. I replied $1,000, and he cut me off saying no that we agreed on $1,300. Mind you, I spoke with one of his employees, I never talked to the manager while discussing the price. After arguing back and forth I said it’s fine I’ll just pay that, I just wanted my car fixed. Then two days later when my car was done, I got notified that they did another service on it that I didn’t ask for, I ended up having to pay $1,500 now. Later my friend, who is a mechanic, told me the part they charged me for wasn’t even replaced.I didn’t drive my Mini a lot since we have about 7 vehicles on the parking lot. A couple weeks after, my oil light came on as yellow, so I went to German Auto again because regular places didn’t work on minis. Got my oil checked, just a regular maintenance thing. They filled the oil. Right after my car was returned the oil light was now red and going out of control, making noise every couple of seconds. I decided to go and have German Auto inspect it once again, but this time they told me I have $6000 worth of fixes to do. Someone, please tell me how does a car that was throughly inspected weeks prior and barely driven get $6000 worth of problem in just a few weeks??? They kept trying to convince me those fixes needed to be done ASAP.I lost all of my trust in this place, and haven’t gone since and never will. It’s unfortunate how badly mechanics take advantage of people. I wouldn’t go to this place unless you know what you are talking about, otherwise you’re just their next bait.I get that German vehicles are expensive to fix and maintenance is regular, but this place does shady things. I would get at least 3 other opinions before believing what German Auto says. I hope my review is beneficial to some, and that you ask for a hard copy of the quote agreed upon inspection!!!

They were so detailed with their review. Our car has a bunch of issues and for only $50 they gave us a complete report about our car, there are so many stuff to be fixed. I appreciate their hard work. Best auto specialist I have been in Utah.

I took my Audi into this joke of a shop. Little did I know they would do incomplete work and leave parts unattached. Vincent the guy who claims to be the owner has zero sense of customer service was nothing but rude and condescending when addressing these issues. Now my car runs worse than before I have no doubt that I will take it to another shop and they will find other components that are disconnected

When it comes to Audis or any other foreign vehicles this is the only place to take it and very reasonable price for what they do being specialist on these foreign vehicles I was sent there by another shop that could not do the job have taken my vehicles back there ever since then.

I have found Vince and his team to be very honest. They dont try to upsell you, their pricing is fair, and they stand behind their work. They replaced an expensive part on my car, and when we discovered the replacement part was faulty from the factory, they immediately replaced it again under their warranty program with no charge and zero questions.

I had a great experience. Scheduled a clutch replacement for next week and had a coil pack go bad on me before the appointment. Had the car towed to him 2 days before my scheduled appointment. He was able to squeeze the fix into his schedule and had it back a day before my regularly scheduled appointment!! Outstanding!

STAY AWAY! This place while seemingly professional and honest up front, took advantage of us for $2000. Were fine to pay for things we need, its not the price of repairs that matters, its how unethical they were about it. They mis-diagnosed a major issue, and also heavily recommended a full brake service 10,000 miles before it was due. Charged us FULL price for both, with well over 2X markup on parts. Then when it came time to fix their misdiagnosis, they charged us to replace a $500 part that even BMW doesnt recommend for this service. This is just the classic auto-repair system where they act like everything wrong they did was the customers fault and responsibility. They had no accountability for their mistakes.When speaking with the owner John, he indicated that they would definitely take care of us on the price to correct his technicians missteps. Yeah, that didnt happen. The original labor and parts were still on there for fixing the WRONG thing, and he applied a $300 discount to the actual repair that we needed. The problem? He marked up all the parts $500 OVER street price (the price an average Joe can buy it for), meaning the discount was just deception to make it look like he was doing us a favor. Just plain dishonest.Dont go here. Period.

I took my 2010 Mini Cooper to the Mini dealer in the valley twice, and twice they failed to even look at one problem with the brakes. I think their volume of work was too high and they felt pressure to push cars through. Anyway, I brought it to German Auto Specialists and he immediately investigated, diagnosed, and repaired the problem with no fuss and a perfectly fair price. This is going to be my permanent service provider for the Mini.If you dont get an answer when you call, its because this is a very small business. Leave a message and youll be fine.

I appreciate Vince working with me to get my car fixed after being a loyal customer for the past 4 years. While fixing some minor repairs on a Friday the technician fixing my car broke a major enough part before close that made it un-drivable. I had no car for the weekend. Vincen assured me that nothing was wrong with the vehicle and didnt try to up-sell me on something I didnt need such as a air filter or a windshield wipers.I appreciate that this shop does not ask or bribe customers with incentives just to give them a good review online. I had my car issues diagnosed by another mechanic but didnt like the quoted cost of repairs. I brought the car home and started my search for other Audi mechanics. I called a few and asked them to give me a bid on this particular repair.Vincen came in at a lower cost then 3 other shops that I called that specialize in German cars. His hourly fee for labor was lower, as was his cost for parts. He was also closer to my home. I called on Monday and was told that the repair could be done by Thursday.I brought the car in on Tuesday afternoon. On Wednesday he called to tell us that the original diagnosis was correct, and suggested a few other repairs we should consider. I appreciated that he checked to be sure we authorized the cost of additional repairs. After negotiating costs, we opted to go ahead with replacing the temperature sensor.The car was repaired on Thursday, as promised. It drives beautifully.I did have a misunderstanding (I made the mistake of assuming that the tax was included in the originally quoted price) on the overall cost of the repairs, and Vincen worked with me to make sure I was a satisfied customer in the end. I would recommend his company to other German car owners.

Great service!!! Had car problems with my BMW. I tried to tackle them myself and gave up after getting more engine codes and in dire need of my car. Researched around for a reputable BMW mechanic and gave Vincen a call for a quote. His diagnostic and labor price was very reasonable. I had it towed there last night and talked to him at 9am when he opened. 930 he calls and gave his diagnosis - bad fuel pump. He gave me a price and i said go ahead. 1130 he calls and says that its done and was running well but has some concerns to address.I stopped over right after work and he pointed out some areas of concerns and showed me on my car. I was in disbelief! Those areas were worked on by a mechanic not even a year ago and has failed again! That just shows that there are crooked mechanics out there but not this guy.Vincen got my repairs done super fast and reasonably priced. He is now my dedicated BMW mechanic for life. Thanks man

Paid $50 for a prepurchase inspection and the technician found nothing wrong with car so I purchased it. Next day went to dealer and they checked the car for free and found car will need brakes and tires soon, oil level 2 qts low, dirty air and cabin filter, and missing underbelly pan. How could you miss such basic mechanical checks that even a DIY owner would have discovered?

He was great!! :) My engine light came on and he got me in the day after I made the appointment. He was honest and pretty fair. I have a 2010 VW TDI and he knew how to take care of her, its not easy finding a mechanic that knows how to work on German cars. My engine needed a glow plug replaced, it was suppose to take an hour but it only took him 30 minutes and he adjusted the quoted price and gave me a break on the installation of the glow plug because it didnt take him as long. Plus he replaced the battery in my fob and replaced a blown fuse for pretty cheap. He even showed me the glow plug that he was putting in, pretty cool. He charges less for labor then the dealers,and he was very reasonable on the parts. I was very impressed with my experience, he even let me go back into the shop to show me the filters that he was replacing. He took great care of my car. :) While I was waiting a gentleman came in and asked if he worked on Mercedes he told the gentleman that He doesnt work on Mercedes, but he will tell you that up front so he didnt waste his money or his time. The guy is pretty good and he is pretty honest. I recommend him to all my friends and anyone who has a VW, Audi, Mini, or BMWs. :)

Before buying a used Porsche Boxster I sought for a reputable mechanic that could perform the pre-purchase inspection. The Porsche dealership wanted $280 so I searched around and found Vincen at the German Auto Specialists. He was considerably inexpensive and the shop was close by. Being the stellar technician he is, Vincen examined the car for oil leaks, signs of recent damage or repairs, ill fitting or broken components, suspension problems, brake components that needed attention, exhaust problems and other significant issues. He allowed me to come back into his shop while he was going through the car and gave me invaluable feedback that weighed heavily on my decision to purchase. I would rate his service as excellent. His shop was clean and modern with all of the requisite electronic diagnostic equipment. His rates were the cheapest around and most importantly I found his candor and honesty to be of the greatest worth. I plan to visit his shop again for future repairs.

Vincen Gillespie at German Auto Specialists is awesome. My Moms VW needed rear brake pads and the local dealer wanted an arm and a leg just to swap out pads. I called around for her to find someone cheaper. A lot of the independent shops I called didnt have the computer you need to remove the old pads (her VW has calipers that need to be retracted electronically via a computer that hooks up to the car). When I called Vincen at German Auto Specialists he knew exactly what I was talking about and had the tools and the computer to do the job. Not only that, but the best part was that he got me in the very next day, did the job in an hour while I waited, and charged me half the price of the dealer! I definitely recommend him to anyone that has a VW or another German car.
