I was hesitant to spend money on something I wasn’t sure would benefit my life. I am so happy I found the trial experience so enlightening! I had no idea I was missing so many verbal intentions by family, friends, and my students. I’m a teacher of kindergarten and 1st graders. I was frustrated not being able to identify if they understood how to read based on their verbal feedback. Subtle sounds such as /j/ or /ch/ or /p/ or /b/ can make a big difference. Besides hearing subtle (but very large) differences, I have realized the importance of hearing language when maintaining memory and processing. Research says that minimizing hearing loss positively impacts the aging process. I appreciate Rose Brakke so very much! She has transitioned me into a new and exciting part of my 40’s and 50’s! Don’t waste time, try the hearing aids- you’ll like it. As a side benefit, when you don’t want to hear something, take those hearing aids out. :)

Heartland Hearing was amazing. For a couple of reasons, this was my third hearing test in six months at three different places. Heartland Hearing was by far the best. The doctor was very thorough in explaining my results...she didnt just say, Yep, you need hearing aids, this is what they cost. My hearing aid stopped working, and had to be replaced. A new device arrived in just a few days, and they were so kind and helpful in getting me set up again. They are the best!

I started my relationship with Heartland Hearing at the beginning of the pandemic. My hearing aid had broken and my audiologist had retired. They gave me a loaner hearing aid and repaired mine promptly. Now we are going through the adventure (and small trauma) of setting up new hearing aids. A new, first-time visit I was prepared to buy new hearing aids in order to be a client at this new location. I was wrong. After a thorough hearing examination followed by an explanation Rose breathed new life into my two-year old hearing aids with a number of adjustments. I havent heard this good in years!

Rose has been very helpful in the whole process of getting my hearing aids. She worked through the hearing test, letting me decide if I needed the hearing aids. She was helpful explaining about training the brain. Once I purchased them, Rose explained how she was setting them up and that I would need several follow ups as it takes time to train the brain along with learning all of the sounds I have missed out on. I was greated at the door immediately upon arrival. Direct to the Drs office and she went to work on my Resounds. Removal of some wax followed, required a irrigation. Soon was on my way into the world. All was great!
