Drove to this location from Detroit Lakes, which is an hour away. The site says the hours for Thursday are open until 8 pm. We get here at 7 and they are closed. Would have been nice to know before I drove an hour to get something.
Let me start by saying I usually love Sallys Beauty, although today I went there with a friend and the staff was SO unhelpful, RUDE, and judgmental towards us! My friend was looking to buy hair dye, bleach, etc and the woman working treated her like she was stupid and like we weren’t even worth her time when asking for assistance. I WILL NEVER come this Sallys again, absolutely and utterly disappointed.
I really like Sallys but this location is not up to par. Customer service is below average and they’re always out of stuff. I literally just saw an associate being rude to another lady. This location is terrible. Smh
Excellent staff. Always knowledgeable and helpful. I can describe a need for my hair (shampoo for sleek, conditioner for curls, color protection, etc.) and they are able to give me several suggestions plus options supplementary products. Thats real service!

Completely horrible customer service. First i walked into the store and I instantly noticed the manager (multi-colored string cheese overly-processed hair lady), approaching a customer that held open the door for his girlfriend to enter. She spoke to him in a very rude and demanding way please close my door! I just got it fixed and i dont need you holding it opened for too long. her tone was very hostile and I instantly felt unwelcome. I tried my best to shop through the limited African-American products she had in stocks. I mentioned to here that there are now way more natural hair 💇products thats we as Consumers would like to see on the shelf. She got very defensive and rude pointing to the wall of overly priced products. There is a whole dang shelf of products for your kind! As if the color of our skin made us made us less Superior. During the process i found two hair color that I liked and asked the sales lady for information on the products. To my surprise she was just as clueless as a new girl on her first day of beauty school. 💁 I picked up 6 packs of hair lighteners which was priced at $1.59 each. To my surprise all the items i picked up had the wrong price tags so my $1.59 bleach came up to $6.98 each! Ridiculous! The sales lady proceed to explain that they were in the process of a new management and explained they were still fixing incorrect tagged items from the previous manager errors and introduced me to the rude manager i spoke to earlier. I was absolutely exhausted with this service and management and put all my items back. To whom this may concern, my family has been using this store for years from homecoming to weddings. Ive been greeted by the kindest sales agents at numerous locations. Ill gave to give this store a zero star if I can. Your staff are cold and racist! Your store only cares about getting consumers money. Im certainly bringing this to Christian A. Brickman attention! Ridiculous!!!
Customer service was above and beyond on helpfulness and knowledge. They look for ways to save you money and dont get upset if you ask a lot of questions. It seems that there is usually good sale and clearance items.
They have a nice selection of everything you need. I like the Sallys jumbo braid hair for less than $3 per bundle. Always get great deals too when you sign up. Ive always wanted to work here.
Very knowledgeable staff. She was able to help me with a developer to whiten plastics. She also was able offer my daughter great advice for how to do a hairncolor change, along with what she needed.
Called before I left to confirm the item I needed was there. Drove an hour and a half from a small town in ND to purchase. Item was not available when I arrived and I was given a display bottle instead of the real thing. Cashier had not a single clue what she was doing. Called to ask for them to send me the real thing in the mail at 9am and was told to wait until 4pm so they can verify my story. This is why everyone uses amazon. Terrible service.
Great selection, good prices. Sometimes a little short staffed or the staff isnt confident in the answers they give. But it you know what youre needing, its great!

I would give this location -5 star if I could. I once worked for Lisa J at this location. She was supposed to transfer me to an Oregon Sallys store to keep my job. I was 8 months pregnant and separating from my then husband, which her family was friends with. She said she transfered me. I got to OR and the manager at the OR location had no clue who I was. I tried calling Lisa at this location for 2 weeks to find out what happened to my job. I got hung up on, ignored, no call backs, no explanations.....flat out avoided and ignored. I was left with no job. Aside from that within the company before I left to OR I had employee points. Which I used towards a baby bath in the employee sally catalog. I gave them my forwarding address to mail it to me when it showed up. It was never sent to me - they kept it. Dishonest, discriminating, fake, lying staff. I wouldnt recommend them to work for nor shop with.
What can i say? Its a beauty supply store... nice staff finding things here is pretty easy
Ive been going to this sallys for about five years and recently there has been a change. I go to sallys for one specific item. I went in today for it, once again, and there was none of the product on the shelf. I asked the employee at the counter (since no one else was around) if they had the product. They did have the product, but they said it would take a FEW DAYS to unpack it. What? This is the SECOND time they have had a product in stock, but told me that they werent going to get it from their back room and put it on the shelves. I live up at NDSU and it takes me some time to get down there, especially since I have to ask friends for a ride to this shop, taking time out of their day. I am beyond frustrated and I do not plan on ever coming to this store again.
Even though theyre not CosmoProf they definitely do have the biggest selection for Clippers in town

The cashier with the orange and yellow hair was very rude. She gave me my change and didnt say thank you or have a good night. Fake a smile at least or dont work in retail.
