I’ve gone to this shop for years and always had good service. Today I pulled up to utilize the air for my tires and as I was adjusting my car to not block the shop doors, a worker (Ben) honked at me 7 times in a vehicle and motioned quickly for me to get out of the way. I went inside to ask him why he acted in such a rude way to me and he spoke VERY rudely to me and never once apologized. I told him I was going to give him the benefit of the doubt and maybe something was wrong but no he is just a rude person. I told him it’s not hard to be a nice person and to have an ounce of customer service. He told me “well i don’t know what you want me to say. I need to get back to work now”. Now bc of this one time, I’ll never be coming back and neither will anyone I know. I’d never want Ben to be working on my vehicle. I’m very surprised by this.

I pretty much give these guys a call anytime my car starts making a noise or is feeling a little funny. Always professional, dont do any additional work without consulting and providing an updated quote for you so no surprise charges. Ive got a 23 year old car and somehow they keep her on the road. My experience at 13th Ave Auto Repair was a really good one, because Ive only been there once before. My company uses them to service our work vehicles, so on my day off, I decided to take my personal vehicle there as well. Im glad I did. Everything went well and everyone was great.👍👊👍

I’ve been relying on 13th Avenue Auto Repair for three years now. They’ve never disappointed me. Here’s the latest reason: Before a cross-country road trip (to an extreme climate), my AC needed repair. The folks at 13th went above and beyond to locate the issue. After detailed attention to locate the problem, it turned out to be minor (and they were correct—I’m 1,000 miles away from Fargo currently, and the AC is going strong). It’s difficult to find a trustworthy repair shop, and I trust the folks here impeccably.

We were travelling through Fargo when our van acted up. We had a long way to go, so they worked us in Friday afternoon before they closed for the weekend. Everyone was super friendly and courteous even though they all stayed late to get us back on the road safely. Travis was very thorough and knowledgeable and discovered the layers of issues that had all been missed by another shop before we left on our trip. If we lived in Fargo, 13th Ave would be our go-to mechanic!

I don’t recommend this place to anyone that’s looking to get an oil change. I went in a few months back for an oil change and my dad recently just did my last oil change, and these guys shorted me 2 quarts of oil. Loved that I paid almost $80 to be shorted oil

I appreciated the employees courtesy in helping me to get the help I needed. I just came from a larger dealership and they told me I had to have my rear brakes done immediately. The dealership stated my brakes were worn all the way down. ($700)I talked to the manger at 13 Av Auto. He told me I could go for a year without changing the brakes. I appreciated the honesty and saved a lot of money. I will be their customer from now on.

Ive had a series of good experiences here, and they always treat things seriously and do their best.A particularly good case was when my ball joint sheered off. They were very quick to help me get a tow truck, and to get it fixed. The service in this case was excellent, getting it fixed more quickly than I expected, and just as importantly being very helpful in the follow ups related to the repair when I kept showing up after work because of something else happening!

I went in for my appointment time for an oil leak. They checked it out and when they were done they told me what was wrong. Then they explained that most of the problem they could fix right away. Good people fair prices. I spent $1900 for repairs but had to beg to get them to mount a couple tires for me. Then I wrote a check and they wouldnt accept it unless it was under $50 was very irritating. So if you have credit to burn instead of cash this isnt a bad place to go.

I needed an alignment after replacing the control arms and ball joints in my truck. Luckily for me, 13th Auto had a great deal going on. Because of the new control arms, it took a lot longer than usual to complete the job. But as always, they honored the killer deal price! I did not have to pay any extra for the extended labor hours. Their work is always very thorough and clean. Their team is great on explaining the issues with your vehicle and do so in a very professional way. I would recommend anyone to take their vehicle to 13th Auto!

Ive been needing an oil change, and havent been able to squeeze one in with my work schedule. I called 13th Ave, and was able to get my car in the same day, and received a text within the hour that my car was ready.MUCH better then previous places, where I schedule an appointment, and end up sitting for hours.GREAT Service!

The guys do a good job, but I dont think the parts vendor has always provided a good product. Things have failed, or just dont work correctly, and I dont have heavy usage of the car. The perfect example is the a/c unit. It keeps losing the charge, and the drivers side runs warmer than the passenger, so it really doesnt cool off the driver on a hot day. Appreciate getting the car in when it needs help.

Ive always had a great experience here. Very professional, honest, friendly, and with reasonable pricing. My mother and sister both take their vehicles here, and they dont even live in Fargo. I got tired of Corwins BS and am glad I took my car here instead. Plus I like that the report gives you lots of information and you know its on your car because they take pictures (for example, my air filter was dirty, and they included a picture). Plus, they were quick and I was a walk in.

Highly recommended. I take all our vehicles here because these guys are honest, do excellent work, and always put the customers best interest foremost. They go above and beyond, and even stored my winter tires for me one season when I didnt have storage yet! I do all my regular maintenance here, even with newer vehicles that could be serviced at the dealership, because 13th Ave does a better job and I trust them completely.

I had a dead car battery on a Sunday after it was -15. They squeezed me in the following Monday and replaced my battery and got my car running the same day. I also needed spark plugs and they replaced those too, but were also able to save the existing wires which saved me $100. I always go to 13th and they have never let me down.

Quick, Easy, Honest Repair!Went in for an oil change. Received the digital inspection sheet which is amazing! They found some things we need to look at getting done, but they did not say it was an emergency and had to be done right away like some places do.

Been going to these guys for a couple years for oil changes. They are always top notch but today I went in for new plugs, transmission flush w filter, oil change and tire rotation. Again i was absolutely pleased at the customer service, Knowledge and just the feeling of they actually care about what they do. They keep you informed on any issues and what may need to be fixed or can hold off. They are very well priced. I would recommend this place to anybody out there, They WILL take care of you. I recently needed work done on my vehicle, took it in to 13th Ave. My late father took his car to them for many years and always said they were trustworthy, fair and good mechanics; my mother continues to use them for her car care so since they were more than satisfied with them l use them, great crew there too.

Ive been going to this place for a couple years now and I love them. They are very honest and fair. Ive had multiple times where Ive brought my car in thinking theres something wrong with it and have them tell me it was something little or nothing at all. on top of that, they didnt charge me for checking it out. They go above and beyond and have been the most honest of any other shop Ive been to in Fargo. If you want honesty and fair pricing this is the place! Also they do good work too, very knowledgable.

Started coming here do to a coupon book and discounts. I was amazed at the service compared to a different company down the street. I have ways had great service and they go above and beyond to help there customers. I dont know many places that will clean your windows and vacuum your car after a oil change. Honest and Fair!!!

Alright so I would like to give a full update to my initial review. These guys are awesome! I had an issue with them in the past, BUT soon after I spoke to John, the customer service manager/ car mechanic, and he promptly called me to remedy the issue that I had that day (2 yrs ago). Since then I have given them my business a couple of times, for miscellaneous work needed, and they have blown me away with their quality of work (which was never lacking) AND their customer service!! Every time I have gone there, the issue that I have is fixed. A1 quality work, thank you John (and your team) for your hard work! I would definitely recommend.

I had put off getting new tires & finally decided that I should get it done soon before it snows. They were able to get me in promptly. I have one less thing to worry about knowing that my vehicle is taken care of by honest & competent mechanics! As a female who has had shops (not knowing one of my high school jobs was writing repair orders so I know enough to know when Im getting screwed but not enough to do it myself) try to pull funny stuff, it is a relief to have found this shop. If they tell me something needs to be done, I know I can trust them! I always suggest this shop to my friends when they need vehicle maintenance.

Fantastic!13th Ave Auto Repair was great to work with. They were knowledgeable, understanding, and competent. I expressed what a different car repair shop told us, and 13th Ave Auto Repair investigated. After about 90 mins, they called and said the car was complete. It was a cable that was disconnected. The previous car repair shop said we needed to replace the entire HVAC box for $1300. Without needing to replace the HVAC box, 13th Ave Auto Repair was able to complete the repair for $157.I strongly recommend 13th Ave Auto Repair.

If you are wondering if you should take your car here, let me tell you, DO IT! In the four years that I have been in Fargo, Ive only gone to one other mechanic, one other time, and I hated the experience so much that I said Ill never go anywhere other than 13th ave as lone as Im in Fargo. Why do I love 13th ave so much though? What really sets it apart? In a word, I would say respect. I can take my car in, tell them what its doing, and they will look at it and tell me what they will find. They DONT try to get me to have all sorts of additional work done. They DONT do a bunch of random work and charge me at the end. They will come back in (or call if Ive left) and tell me what they found to be the problem, and they always ask before they fix what they find (especially if it is going to cost more). The last time I was there, my car was making a horrible sound. I thought it was going to cost $$$$ to fix it. In less than 10 minutes of being there, I was told it was just a few belts that needed tightened and everything else looked good. I was out in less than an hour and only paid $46. Ive never been anywhere else that let me go and didnt tell me 3 other things they found wrong with the car while they were looking. I love this shop and these mechanics. I HIGHLY recommend them. Theyre honest and respectful and kind.

AMAZING PLACE! Fast and Inexpensive - My 2 kids and I were going to have a fun night at West Acres. As I pulled into the parking lot at 7pm at night, my car died....my alternator had gone out! I was stuck there and I live 90 miles away. I called 13th Ave. Auto and the owner told me he could get me in the next morning and it would be done sometime the next day, probably after lunch. I left my vehicle there and got a ride to a Hotel for the night. The next morning, I was impatient. I called at 9am to see what the status was and WOW I was amazed. They told me that it would be done in about an hour! When I got there I was so happy to see that not only did they squeeze me into their schedule and hurry to get it done fast due to my situation....when I got the bill I was VERY PLEASANTLY SURPRISED!!! As youve said before this last visit there are things in vehicals where you dont have the means to service on. For some of those things that are less time consuming without all the elaborate sequences are less a headache to deal with whereas it could be risky trying to perform tasks on such a job as replacing a coolent tube assembly same as what I have seen with mieneke. This task could really take practices by any number of mechanics. Its that simple to see unlimited failure by doing this chore.

They go the extra mile to keep you satisfied. Its nice to know there are still ethical businesses nowdays and this is one of them!
