Not a good experience this year with your cucumber and green beans seeds. Only 2 cucumber seed plants came up earlier so I immediately went and bought seeds elsewhere and growing great. Green bean seeds plants grew great but not a bloom or green bean so tonight I ripped up 3 rows of them!! Will be purchasing elsewhere next year.

Great customer service!! After a frustrating visit to the store to learn there was a miscommunication of how Fun Money could be leveraged, Mary the store manager went out of her way to call me and make it right. I am so happy with the outcome of my situation and know that Mary is truly dedicated to making her customers happy. Thanks again!

Called and they had everything we were looking for. Found everything easily once we got there, and check out was no wait.

This is a great place to shop for plants and pots. The staff is very helpful and the selection good. But this FUN MONEY they give you is ridiculously confusing. It is nearly impossible to make sense of what it offers. Make it simple and you will have more people coming back and using it. These were poorly written. Otherwise I really like the place and always get good service.

Bought what was marked as Roma tomato. As they grew they obviously were not. Took them back and one lady insisted they were Romas. Her supervisor came over and agreed they were not romas. But she said they come marked and she had no control over it and walked off. Wont be buying there again.

I was there to buy some products for my fruit trees. It was early in the morning and there were plenty of people available to help and they were very friendly. Prices were reasonable.

Great bunch of plants to choose from, friendly and insanely knowledgeable staff, I will definitely be back after I fail to green up my thumb once again.

Sadly I give a thumbs down because of staff member who works outside in the garden center. Ive been there twice this month and each time had the unfortunate experience with a rude older female employee. She lacks basic friendliness, basic social skills, is condascending, and overall isnt someone you want spend anytime with. Earle May, your prices are higher than everyone so I suggest you remind your employee, Im sure you know who Im talking about, that her attitude reflects quite poorly on your business and people have many options in the area. I highly doubt that you have any clue how to deal with her because she worked there last year too and her attitude is the same. Either get her to change or fire her, you doing nothing just shows that it really doesnt matter that she is offensive. I wont be back.

Not happy. Visited several times and always the same. Noone ever asks you if you need assistance or help. They walk right past and you see them chatting with their workers. I have decided to not go there any more. Not courteous but I certain they will not miss my business.

High quality plants, grass seed, lawn ornaments, chemicals etc. Tend to be a bit pricey however you usually get what you pay for. Most of the employees are helpful and pleasant. Did have a bit of static from the manager before. He was probably tired and or stressed out. I will say they dont require Customers to wear face masks which as a Libertarian I appreciate. And NO Liberals I dont want people to die so stop with the face mask shaming! UPDATE! Old Manager is long gone! New Manager is a people person and knows how to endure herself to customers! I have been back way more often than before when the Male Manager, while knowledgeable was not personable and treated me arrogantly and with a bit of contempt. So now I will give this Earl May location a full 5 Stars because of a GREAT Manager! I spent a whole lot more money this year directly related to the professional and friendly way I was treated!

Helpful staff - good grass seed

I visited Earl May Garden Center today because I recently inherited my parents home, and was in need of professional landscaping services for the property … front to back. I also hoped to have my family’s gravesite tended to as well (landscaped).Upon arriving at the store I was in need a restroom, but much to my disappointment, both the men’s room and the ladies room had signs on the door stating, “out of order.”I stopped one of the employees and explained my dilemma, and asked if there was another restroom I could use. I was told no. I was informed that Earl May no longer offers restroom facilities for their customers; restrooms were for staff only. I had no choice but to return home.Like my parents, I have been a business owner all of my adult like. Not once have I denied a guest, a person who chooses to support my business, use of a bathroom.If Earl May declines a most basic need, how can I trust they will have my best interest in mind as a customer?I won’t be back.

One of the best garden centers around - the staff at this location are really nice and know their stuff. The quality of the product they carry is always amazing and justifies the slightly higher price that the big box stores.

My wife and I stopped in to browse for ideas and maybe bring some plants home. We ran into Megan who was the greatest of help. Megan went well above and beyond what she needed to and kept our 7yr old occupied with the Sensitive plant, popcorn and doughnuts.Earl May then delivered the large flowers and pots by van and the two guys who delivered them were just as nice and helpful. I’ve never been treated so poorly. I very casually mentioned to the cashier how the manager rang up clearance items at another store. An employee named Sue came over & pointed her finger at me, growled & glared, “I don’t care how other stores do it, this is how we do it!” I’ve never dealt with such an angry, abrasive “customer service” member. She left & came back & stood behind her coworker’s shoulder. With so many retail options, I doubt I’ll be returning just because of this experience.

Earl May is one of my go to garden centers. When Ive had concerns, the staff has always made things right. I appreciate the service.

There was a sign on the door that said masks were required, yet there were people who I guess didn’t see it. There was an employee walking around with his mask on his chin (not covering anything) and a bunch of customers not wearing masks. Seems like they just put that sign there to get more customers. Extremely disappointed.

Came here this mornin to the 22nd Street Earl May and had the most unhelpful person not help me. Very rude and short with me. Ill definitely not be back to this location. Horrible service. One person makes the difference!

The gal that assisted us was very rude and never did give me a straight answer as to how to do the task at hand. Simple question about what kind of soil I needed. Just told me how I wouldnt be successful with my project! Was appalled!!!!

Super helpful staff. Went there to get a new pot for a palm tree. Megan explained to me palms love a crowded pot. Ended up walking out with a different plant and happy daughter thanks to complimentary popcorn.

Amazing experience before, during and after the purchase of a tree. Best customer service Ive seen anywhere in a very long time! I would highly recommend this location to anyone from anywhere around the metro area.

I was thoroughly disappointed in the employees at this location today. They were more interested in getting ready to close 30 minutes early than helping a customer. I came in looking for a certain shrub that I purchased at another location. They told me they didnt carry it and hadnt in 2 years. No one offered to look it up in the computer or on the property. My husband and I found the shrub and when we went to purchase the employee didnt apologize. He said there are a lot of plants here. No kidding! I will not shop at this location again.

I couldnt disagree more with the other reviewer. I have always had a great experience at Earl May. They always take time to answer my questions and make sure they understand what Im working on so they can help me find the right products for my project. They are often quite busy, particularly on the weekends, so I have had to seek out a staff person from time to time, but once I do they have always been helpful, knowledgeable, and friendly.

I agree with other reviewers, basic customer service skills is what the staff at this location lacks. They dont know the product they sell, when I asked a question about the difference between two plants, they just said to read the label. Overall, just rude and agitated responses in general instead of looking for ways to assist or find the answers from the manager.

The 22nd st EM usually has whatever you might need. People are friendly and helpful. And know their business.
