Recently remodeled, this Starbucks is located off busy Mills Civic. The line usually wraps around the building for drive through.Indoors looks modern with small tables close together. Since Covid, it’s become more cold and not the ideal place to hang out for homework or a casual meeting. Not enough seating, plug-ins or table space.The coffee and food continues to be predictably delicious. The staff are equally 5 star worthy.

Every time I come to this location the staff is always friendly and have our drinks ready, it usually takes me longer to pay than it does for them to have my order ready. Great staff, you can tell they enjoy their job.

This is definitely the place you cant pass. My friends and I really like to stop by and grab a cup to start the day.

The drive thru lines are long. But when you go inside, they are fast and efficient. When ordering they are kind and willing to help.

This used to be the banner Starbucks location. I’m not sure what changed with leadership here, but it has been an awful store for the last 6 months. Cold coffee, understaffed. They are now doing drive through only until Sept 27th. Don’t waste your time.

I’m leaving two stars because they said they aren’t allowed to make my pumpkin cream cold brew with oat milk. I’m the customer, if I want the foam blended with oat milk then that’s how I want it. How can I customize my drink to be nondairy if they say they’re not allowed to.

Will never go back to this Starbucks. Website said dine in was open, so we walked 3 miles to get here Sunday morning only to get there and see a sign that it’s drive through only. Knocked on door/called inside and spoke with manager only to have them tell us they can’t make any exceptions and turned us away; extremely unfriendly staff. Will not return.

Mocha Frappuccino with 4 shots of espresso! They are super friendly and fast service!

I ordered a mobile pick up for a mocha & sandwich this morning 11/21 @5:55am. I arrived at 6am. The mocha was done - the sandwich hadnt been started yet. The young lady working that station is why, unfortunately, I have to write this poor review of a location that I normally receive 5 star service from. I know its early but lack of any want to be there was quite apparent. I stood a good distance from the barriers set up for mobile pick ups, where I always stand and am usually greeted so kindly by a tall gentleman. After she played with her fingernails waiting for the sandwich to cook, she leisurely meandered over and set the sandwich under on the opposite side of where I was standing. Then made eye contact and remarked, I am setting this here. Thats what this barrier is for. Extremely matter of fact, and rude. Then turned around and walked away. I said, really. She made no attempt to turn around and ignored me while the other staff looked at me. When I got to my car I saw her raising her arm in the air speaking to her co- workers. I purchase there at least 5 times a week - I work right across the street. I look forward to grabbing my coffee before work each day and the good customer service to set my day off right. Now, Im at work and that one person ruins someones day. Her attitude needs to be addressed or put her in the back. No one else has to be treated like this. Im definitely going to be stopping some where else on my way in.

The place is clean, the service is great, I like their products, but I feel the price is a bit high, still, Ill come back.

Went through the drive thru. 1st time to this shop. Long line. But got served as excepted. Everything was prepared correctly.

I bought a coffee this morning. They gave it too me with “ no sleeve” because they want to be more eco friendly....... it was hot!!!!!!! Find a cup that doesn’t burn me then. I don’t like travel mugs because I re-heat it throughout the morning.

This locations employees are incredibly fast, polite, and personable. My absolute favorite Starbucks around. Thank you for your hard work!!

I usually go to Starbucks when I want cold brew since its hard to come by good cold brew, and I usually have mine with a little bit of cream. Each time Ive asked for a teeny, tiny, little bit of cream, they fill the cup with almost half cream and a splash of coffee. I suggest ordering creamer on the side if you are a mostly black coffee drinker.

Quick service. Can’t go wrong. Friendly staff.

Service was quick and friendly. All the employees looked to be working hard. We got 2 grande drinks and a pupichino. The cost was 11 dollars and some odd cents so it was a bit expensive compared to other coffee shops but thats always expected here. Over all had a good experience and will be going again.

I am in town regularly for work and i get the same thing. Iced coffee, light cream, no ice. The drink has way too much cream every time. Its a lot. Not even close to light cream. The line is always too long to go back and get it fixed.Wouldve done two stars but Dlaila has veen awesome and friendly to work with. She is 5 stars.

This store bullied and kicked me out of the store for being medically exempt from wearing a mask. They wouldnt listen to anything I had on my mind or serve my friend until I put a mask on or got out of the store, all while he had his on. First time in Iowa or in person had I witnessed this amount of disrespect, ignorance and sheer fear driven decisions/actions that have absolutely nothing to do with any laws or orders from above here in Iowa. The district manager deeply apologized for the behavior multiple times, confirmed masks are no requirement by law and no person is to force them upon another at any time. Stated this type of experience should have never ever happened to me and assured me would talk to her staff until everyone is clear on how human beings need to he treated. I hope this is true however I will not be returning here.

I got The venti soy latte, it’s really light wehen I grab it, When I open the Lid, it’s only little more then half cup. Maybe 60% of the cup is filled. Feel lazy to go back and ask. But please fill drinks as it sized next time.

Good place to stop to get some coffee with fast service.

Always speedy at this location. Never any issues with service, quality, or accuracy. Barista is always friendly and willing to answer any questions I have.I dont believe Ive ever actually been inside at this location but it appears clean and well-kept from the window.

We bombarded this Starbucks with 11 of us at once. Several in our party had never been to Starbucks and they were very helpful. They made our drinks quickly and accurately - and everything was delicious! Thanks!

This is the best Starbucks I have ever been to. I refuse to go anywhere else. The staff are super friendly, and go above and beyond to get your drink right. They are super clean, even on a busy weekend. They got through the cafe line exceptionally fast. My drink was amazing!

This Starbucks is always so busy! Despite having mobile, cafe, Uber, and drive thru orders they somehow push through! In the last two months I haven’t seen them without a long line so A+ to the baristas there for continually pushing through the high demand! Way to go!

I just had the best day of my life! Jenna made me the greatest Caramel Mocha I’ve ever had in my life and her perfect smile just lit up my world! Everyday from now will just be a disappointing spiral downhill as my wife is leaving me and my kids won’t talk to me! Great Location though!

I absolutely love this location, my drink was ready before I even finished ordering. The atmosphere is wonderful. The staff is beyond friendly and they greet me by name when I walk in. They are quick and clean. I won’t go anywhere else.

My cold brew is iced milk without any coffee in it, yuck. My daughters frappuccinos were melted, probably because we waited in line at the drive thru for 25 minutes.

Its has nice service and the line wasnt too long. It has a really nice atmosphere and offers music and a great place to do work, especially on a laptop. Really enjoyed my stay here! 😊👍

I was at the TJ Maxx and am not in Des Moines often so I decided to try mobile ordering for the first time. It was fairly simple and I walked over and I got a sweet potato kettle chip and a Venti Strawberry Acai Lemonade. Had an extra two minute wait after I got there for my drink which was fine. Overall staff was fairly nice and process was easy. I will definitely go back to this location whenever I get the chance.

Dont ask for anything special, you wont get it. I asked for a little more milk in my cup I brought in and was refused. I even offered to pay for the 2 oz of milk, again I was refused. Total BS, I have never had a Starbucks not add a little more milk to my latte or even offer redo a drink if I did not like it. Not this location, they wont accommodate.

This area in West Iowa is nice in general, so it made this Starbucks really appealing (especially when you need a break from driving!). They have some outside seating right in front. Definite plus: The baristas were so quick in making my drink that I literally sat down and got back up. I like their little nook in the back -- it was cozy and allotted privacy for working.

I have always order from my regular Starbucks and they have always made my drink perfect and always new what to do. But this Starbucks the girls at this store I really am so disappointed in the whole experience.i had to repeat my order 4 times, they still messed it up. And on top of that I go in for a refund cause I’m already annoyed she remakes the drink and while she is the girl that took my order is over by the other girl and said I was dramatic. How? I didn’t tell, I didn’t say anything rude or disrespectful all I said in a calm voice that I wanted a refund. I would never in my life ever come back to this Starbucks ever. I’m so disappointed in this location. If I could give a no star I would.

This place used to be top notch, attention to detail was a plus and always friendly. Now it seems some employees just dont care to get your order right and sometimes come off as annoyed. Kind of bummed out since I get Starbucks 2-3 times a day. 😐

Blackened, over-cooked sandwiches. Sandwiches that are pre-made and refrigerated... seriously? Staff neglecting to inform customers of their new business hours ending earlier than expected -- and then telling the customer to leave immediately at the last second without ANY grace period of 5 minutes or any consolation. Never coming back here for the subpar food and poor service.

Pretty disorganized for a Starbucks. Employees couldn’t keep the queued drink orders in the right sequence so people who ordered after me were getting their drinks first. Drink production was pretty slow and the store was messy. Drink was correct once I finally got it, so I’m giving 2 stars instead of 1.

It was a very clean store and had a light vibe. The lady with the blue hair, I believe her name was Sydney, had a very cheery aura and her smile made my day. Give that girl a raise!However, the employee named Molly was rushing me even though there was no one in line behind me. She was snotty and had a bad attitude. I found it rather unprofessional.Overall, the food and drinks were delicious and I was able to put Mollys bad vibe behind and have a great time!

Quick and clean Starbucks. Its the closest one to me so its really convenient to mobile order and pick it up. Most of the employees are very nice but sometimes they can be a little short or unfriendly.

Jenna puts the STAR in Starbucks! I cant order my custom iced americano from anyone else! She uses just the right amount of Carmel drizzle and finishes it off with a smile that can unfreeze even the coldest hearts.

Service was unfriendly and it took over 10 minutes to get a refill on iced tea. Counters needed to be wiped as well. I would have appreciated a smile from one member of their staff. It wouldnt hurt them to hire more staff due to long lines.

Mike was very friendly and helpfull even though it was 0630 early in the morning on a Saturday. I applaud the great staff here, they truly are wonderful people.

I bought one of my few souvenirs from our long road trip at this Starbucks. They had everything pretty well organized and their baristas were fast and friendly. Quality of the drinks was very good.

Completed a mobile order and arrived a few minutes after the 4-9 minute window they give. They were out of cold brew. Typically when this happens at my normal Starbucks, they will greet whoever it is, apologize for being out of whatever then ask what else you’d like. I stood there for a second not sure if I could just grab from there or not, I said “excuse me” and the barista standing there deliberately avoided eye contact. I said “excuse me + her name” one more time, same thing. I grabbed my cup after being ignored for the third time and went and waited in line at the cashier. The cashier then started a new order for me, and asked the barista (the same one who ignored me) to rush my order. At no time was there an apology. I understand being busy but I did a mobile order because I was in a hurry and then was treated rudely. I’d rather have a caffeine headache than go there again.

I love going to Starbucks, but this is one of the worst locations I have been to regarding the staff. The place was really clean when I went in and that was one of the only good things. The staff was either slow or seemed annoyed and rude. The lady that took my drink was unfriendly and didnt smile at any of the 5 people I saw smile at her and say hi. She didnt say thank you or have a nice day or anything. Some of the other workers seemed lost or didnt know what to do, only a couple of them were actually hustling and people were waiting for 10-15 minutes for their drinks. Overall I expect more from Starbucks staff.

This has to be the busiest Starbucks in town. The line inside is usually to the door. The drive thru trails out to the street. The staff is friendly for the most part. But cant blame them for being stressed at that volume.I have only had maybe one or two really great drinks at this location. The volume makes the quality suffer. I tried to jump the line and ordered through my app and was treated rather rudely. She took a cup and said ok youll be in line with everyone else. When I got my drink there was no sticker validating my order.On another occasion I tried again and went in later. Ordered through the app and walked in and was greeted with a smile and my drink was ready.

Supremely busy location, especially weekday mornings, so if youre mobile ordering, give it a couple extra minutes, and as many as 10 extra minutes on double star day. Kelly and the other staff members are awesome and super friendly, and it doesnt take long for them to get to know you by your drink.

Service was pretty fast even though they had a long line of cars in the drive-thru. (I went inside since I prefer to use a reusable cup and I read on reddit that going through the drive thru affects their times since they have to wait to start making your order until you get to the window). I liked the layout. It feels cozier than the one I usually go to. A second or perhaps a more obvious trash can would be nice but thats really my only complaint.

I went to this location on 12/27/17 and ordered the Caramel Brule latte. As I started to drink my coffee it was warm milk. They failed to add anything to it. I went back in this morning to get my morning coffee and informed them of the previous days issue. No apology at all. I pay $6 for a coffee and no apology.

I come to the store at least four days out of my five day work week I always go to the drive-through and the lady’s work in the window are polite kind the prices are very affordable the selection of food and the quality of the food and beverages are astonishing the establishment it’s always very clean from the outside all the way to the bathroom a down-home atmosphere
