I was surprised to see that the corner antique shop was open this late on a Sunday afternoon.My wife had visited the Apple Barrel recently and was salivating over the selection of vintage stoneware bowls James had on display. I found these beautiful bowls to be an ideal addition to the Christmas wants, not needslist. Thanks, James, for such a pleasant surprise!

Theres always something interesting here. The hisory of some of the items here are worth a lot by themself. Sure seems to take you back to when things were more labor intense but so much simpler in life. The store itself takes you back to the early days and the heart and workmanship your early pioneers put into it from the details on the outside of building and probalbly material used was local too. The different selection of goods dispayed for sale inside of wich many were used by other local businesses, theres something for everyone located here

The gem of west bend!!! So many high quality vintage treasures, and the owner James is the kindest man and a great conversationalist. 2 rooms and a downstairs, each very cool and vibey. Definitely check it out!!!

Wonderful collection of antiques and memorabilia. The owner, James, is incredibly knowledgeable and friendly. This is a must-see in West Bend. Much larger inside than it looks. Two floors.

I have had two repairs at this business. One for a new oak pendulum for a antique clock and another a stain glass floor lamp. The work was beautiful and the owner is very particular and professional.

The door was already open when I got there, which felt welcoming (hooray nice weather!), and while the owner was assisting other customers when I arrived, when he appeared again, he greeted me warmly and told me about the different areas of the store. He noticed I stopped at a bookshelf and asked if I was interested in books, and after responding affirmatively, he informed me there would be more in the basement. Other than that, he left me to browse, which I was glad of.There was not a large amount of items in general, and not much that I personally held interest in, but Im sure if one was seeking vinyl records, or especially antique house fixtures (doorknobs, handles, moulding, you name it!), they would be quite excited to visit. The first floor was well-lit, but the basement, in my opinion, could use a new, less steep set of stairs (although I understand the age of the building has the most to do with that!) and better lighting.After choosing some books to purchase, I got to the counter and, noting a sign only then that said the store only accepted cash or checks, asked him if I could leave my books at the counter and get cash from a nearby ATM. He directed me to the ATM across the street and waited patiently while I obtained said cash and returned. He even offered me a discount without my asking, which I thought was kind! When I took a few business cards (you always need extra to give to friends!), he wrote his name on the back of one and told me that my patronage was appreciated.Overall, although the basement wasnt the most comfortable, I had a very welcoming and enjoyable experience and would love to visit again! I recommend a stop by if youre in the area at the very least!

My husband and I visit this store least once a month. The owner is very nice, and theres always new items to discover. The store is clean, organized, and full of finds. A feature that I really like is that the store is owned by 1 person, unlike many antique stores that have rented booth spaces. Not having rented booth spaces means a more cohesive shopping experience, and knowing that you will be getting high quality antiques throughout the store.

Couldnt recommend higher. Conscientious, knowledgeable, helpful. Painstakingly sifted through his collection of skeleton keys to find one that worked in my ancient door latch. The man is a wizard. Thanks James!
