This place is horrible, treated me so badly after I spent over $50 buying things for my baby & I also brought really nice things to buy back which I do all the time. This place has gotten super disorganized and the staff are becoming so nasty / rude. I called and spoke to the manager Julianna at 11:45AM. I told her I was on my way & my GPS said 12:05PM. She said she it was no big deal & told me to still come in. When I arrived I signed in with my BEST-FRIEND at 12:09PM. It was my friends 1st time at the store & I told her so many nice things about this place because I been here a few times before & I have also have gone to other locations on Longisland & in Florida…My friend has a sister that’s 2years old and my daughter is 3yrs old so we figured we would walk in together. When we arrived 3employees asked if we were related & we said no we were friends & decided to take one car & go together. We explained this to her about 3x we were only friends, We also explained it was my friends 1st time & how excited I was to show her around store…We even offered to show ID’s.The manager Julianna totally Embarrassing us infront of other customers in the store. When explaining again that we we’re friends..we weren’t related and we bought different sized clothing and different toys. A lot of the things were new & unused. We even offered to donate them. Babyshower games,UGG winter boots, jackets NEW with tickets Carter’s clothes and awesome Montessori wooden toys for toddlers/babies. I was so disappointed and unsatisfied with the service. I was so sad and told the manager I wanted to speak to the owner & told her how unhappy I was with the service and she told me “IM SORRY, IF YOU DONT LIKE THE SERVICE HERE- DONT COME BACK!” her exact words. Again she said this infront of other costumers out load. I simply said okay and she asked me to leave the store. I was mortified and so embarrassed. I will never be returning to this store again they lost a good customer

Love love love this store ! As a grandparent there’s always something one of our grandchildren could use ! Loved all the books & toys ! What a great selection of clothing too ! The store has a huge selection of everything! Thank you for being so helpful & for your amazing customer service! My wife & I loved that it was so organized ! Went home with lots of goodies! We’ve been here before and we will be back again !

I dont understand why this place have so low rating, for me I think the store is awesome, clean, organized, pretty and sweet employee, I went there many times and bought a lot of gently used beautiful girls clothes and the price is only ranged 1.5-8.5, you can also find cute hats at 1.5, ugg shoes 7.99, and down coat for around 10. All selling are gently used. Where else can you get like this!!!

This store got me & my toddler (now 15) through the economic crisis when my salary was frozen for five years. Clothes like new. Strollers, toys books etc. When I got the money for what I brought in I turned around and spent it for what I needed right then and there. Unlike other thrift shops the clothes are like new and sized so it was easy to find what I needed. I read some of the other reviews by people who expected a kiss up. They were in the right place, Once Upon a Child.

I went there with 3 tubs of new clothing with tags my son never wore, probably with over 200 pieces and they offered me $13 for the whole thing. The prices are great to buy but if youre looking for more than a penny an item, Id recommend bringing your clothing elsewhere.

Great selection of nice clothes, some new with tags, at a very cheap price!Every time my daughter needs new clothes, I come here. $100 and I get an entire new wardrobe! Very worth it.

This place is just barely average. They really screw you when they buy your used items. I understand they have to make a profit. But the prices they give are laughable. I called first and asked if they are buying infant cloths. They said they are only buying 12 months and older in clothes for now. I brought in a full box of baby clothes 12 months and over. They went through the whole box and only bought 25 percent of the clothes out of a full box. They gave me $19.15 for the clothes they bought. And they dont even negotiate with the prices. They couldnt just give me an even 20 dollars??? The girls that work here are just teenagers who barely speak and look pretty unhappy. They just do whatever they are told by the older women who run the place.

I did read the reviews before going to this place but decided to check it out for myself. If you want someone to greet you when you walk in forget about that. The place seems very organized I was looking at the book selections everything seemed pretty organized to me anyways bought some of my daughters clothing they accepted a few items but shockingly they gave me less than 20$ for it. If you want to sell your gently used clothings I would start selling them online you’ll get more money than coming to this place!

Read reviews wife and I can’t wait to visit this store. It’s like a GameStop for cloths! They purchase items for cheap and sell them for cheap! A friend of 48 years recommended shopping there. I was there about 3 weeks ago to sale my daughters things, almost every things was new or excellent used condition. The items had tags. Not only did we have to wait over an hour, I noticed the terrible attitude the manager had (the blond older woman), she turned people down, she blew people off if they didnt agree with the prices. I also noticed that with one particular lady she was a little nicer about the pricing but when she came to me she was the rudest person ever!!! The young lady attending to me claimed my items had stains, which I checked again and non of them did. They also were trying to give me a dollar for a dress that had tags and was from Disney worth $30 and when I said Ill take the item back thats when the manager popped up throwing my things on the counter, and every item I asked for back she threw it at me. I didnt expect full price but to offer basically nothing for items worth money is ridiculous. They offered me .50 cents for brand new stride rite shoes then had the nerve to throw them on the counter and then told the young girl to hurry up because she was taking too long with me. Honestly the items I had purchased I felt like throwing them at her. I have never experienced racism or some one so rude in a work place! I refuse to ever go back and every chance I get I tell them my experience. I miss the old once upon a child and the old staff!!!

Place is Not the same! People are nasty and the new male owner is horrible!!!Very nasty and doesn’t know how to run a business!!!!He is nothing compared to the old owners!!!You are better off selling on eBay!

Great buys but the staff is not friendly. I’ve been to the Once Upon a Child stores in NJ and Scarsdale; they greet you and ask if you need help. The only reason why I continue to shop here is because of the convenience.

This store is very good. We use it for many years for selling and buying. They are very friendly and helpful. This store has plenty of different stuff. They have a lot of book which I bought for my work and for my kids. Very recommended.

People have an attitude problem. They put online what they need but in person they switch up completely. They take their sweet time getting up to help you. If your clothes dont have a tag they dont want it. I brought two big bags with perfectly good clothes and shoes. And they only took 17 items for 13 bucks. Not worth it.

If youre selling dont even waste your time. Better off selling online. Long wait and you get barely any money back

The one older women was extremely rude. Ill be sure to NEVER come again.. selection was just ok infact some of the clothes were covered in dust I had to wipe dust bunnies off the pieces I was looking at.. and she had the nerve to comment on a tiny drop of my coffee spilling onto her brand new tacky carpet....the coffee cup was in my childs stroller on the bottom because it was empty and my son kicked it.. it was literally a drop...brand new carpet? Looks like its from 1997? Either way it was clearly an accident and she made me look like a fool in front of the whole store..she was very rude to someone who was spending alot of money..

I love once upon a child. Im 14 and they have a nice selection for teens around my age. The baby clothes are so awesome and have a great variety of clothing!! The only thing is when your selling your clothes they are very strict with the condition it is in. It cant have a stain or look like its worn, but thats a good thing. Because the quality of the clothing bought their is high. Hope you check this place out. :)

One star for the great selection they have. However, I have been there twice and both times the employees were rude. No one offers to help (even when you ask, they are reluctant) and on my last visit I felt like I was being reprimanded because I accidentally dropped a toy! Nothing broke and no one was hurt but the shelves are overstuffed and not secure in the first place! I then stood at the register waiting for someone to acknowledge me even though I had verbally tried to get their attention several times!

This store is so clean and organized. The staff are friendly and helpful. I always go to get my girls new tap shoes and they always have a nice selection.

Selling to this place was a complete waste of my time! I called twice to make sure I did everything right, even to buy the bins because they “prefer” them. The 2 bins cost me more than what I got back. I had clothes in excellent condition, some new, girls skates (didn’t want those but the sell skates) shoes, you name it! Even a Barbie Popup Camper with all the parts that every kid tried to get their hands on. “We can’t take the camper.” Well, I’m thinking I paid over 100, not even 5 bucks. They could sell it for at least 20 and get it quick. They barely took anything. Surprisingly they took more shoes than clothes but so many good things were left in the bins. They have horrible customer service. You come to the counter, they don’t acknowledge you. I understand they’re busy, but I want to know, do I wait or come back? They push your bins to the side, and if you don’t watch, people will start picking through your stuff. Anyway, I walked around, picked up 2 jackets to buy and still had to stand there an hour waiting. I ended owing them $4 because the jackets came to 18 and I got back 13 and change. Better to just give the stuff away. Much less time loss.

Noone acknowledged me when I walked in. I didnt know where to go to sell my double stroller. I went to the back and there were 4 girls behind the counter sorting through clothes. I mustve stood standing there for about 8 minutes before a girl asked if I was selling anything I said yes and she said I needed to sign in. Anyways the double stroller I taken there was worth $180 in target and they literally only bought it for $28. Super cheap but its fine itll go to someone who needs it.

I have been to a few OUAC stores in the past. All of them were nice and friendly except this one. The girl who looked through my clothes, threw things all over the floor that she didn’t want to take. Of my 2 bins, they took 2 shirts and 2 pairs of shoes. She gave me $6 store credit. I went to look at their shoes which are so disorganized, it’s impossible to find the right size for my children. The things I did wind up buying, the cashier threw in a bag, wrinkled up and not folded (any other store I’ve been to from this company, they’ve put in the bag neatly). On top of that, we told the manager that the toilet in the bathroom had poop all over it from another customer. My daughter had to use the bathroom. The manager laughed and said she wasn’t cleaning. The rest of the staff said the same thing so needless to say the bathroom isn’t going to be cleaned. Disgusting! Will not go there again!

Ridiculas, rude staff,they give you less than 1 cent on a dollar for brand new items. A 100.00 scooter unopened brand new they paid 3 dollars for.will send someone in a week to buy. My friend works for news 12,shes gonna die when she hears what I took pics of

Only giving one star because I have to. I have been toe several OUAC stores and this one is terrible! I brought in three large bags, sorted by size, and a few other baby items (hats, mittens) I walked in and awkwardly stood there trying to get someone to tell me where the sign in was. I signed in and asked for an estimate on time, two of workers went back and forth in front of me not wanting to sort through all of what I had brought. One finally agreed and told me to leave my stuff & she didn’t know how long it would be. I left and came back a few hours later to find my bags exactly where they were, it didn’t even look like anything had been gone through! They told me my stuff was stained and outdated - my daughter is 6 months old! Am I supposed to go shopping and bring items straight there to get any kind of money?! Needless to say I left with everything I walked in with and won’t be recommending them to anyone!

I was very pleased with this store. I go to several once upon a childs while traveling with my husband for business and I was happy with this one. The owner was very friendly and talked with me which is rare...two of the young ladies that worked there were not so friendly but one was very helpful. Smaller store but you have to consider cost of rent out here...got lots of stuff and Im happy. For the people that complain about not getting a lot for clothes...if you want more money for it sell it online they cant give you what its worth or they would not be able to stay open. You still get more than you would selling it at a yard sale. I love the chain once upon a child and the owner here is very nice!

Love this franchise, but this specific location is terrible. Over the years, Ive frequented several Once Upon a Child locations in 3 different states and have never experienced anything resembling the Seaford location. I arrived with a couple of items. There was no signage indicating where one could sign in or leave items while waiting - the answer was to hold them or to leave them on the floor in a crowded waiting area. Unlike any UOAC location Ive visited, I was not given any time estimate. After killing 45 minutes rifling through their small selection, I was no closer to having an idea of when they might get to my couple of things, so I left and brought them to a donation center down the street. Im very disappointed and will not be returning.

I’m very disappointed in the customer service at this location. I am from out of town and frequently buy from and sell to both of my local OncevUpon a Time stores so I was excited to visit this one. I had my eye on an activity table outside and picked up a few pairs of jammies inside for my daughter. I waited in line behind someone who was selling approximately 5min or so. I don’t mind waiting, I understand it gets busy but after that woman was finished I was still standing there an additional 5 minutes and wasn’t even acknowledged. Not a “sorry be right with you” or “please wait just another minute”. Nothing. There were at least 5 employees behind the counter. I put my things back and walked right out the door. I’ll take my business elsewhere.

Went in today for the first time and have never had such nasty and horrible customer service. I walked in and said hello and not one of the 7 women behind the counter said hello back. I then said alright ladies I said hello and no one said hello back, in a nice way. Marissa rolled her eyes and said can someone take her. Jennie whom I had directed the hello to in the first place since she was standing at the counter didnt even look up, she rolled her sleeve up and checked the time on her watch. I could care less wether my clothes were bought at all, I will not do business with a place who treats people like that. People skills? No. Friendly and inviting? No. I was told kathleen is the manager so if I were her, I would fire people who werent kind and inviting to customers. By the way, none of the 7 women behind the counter were helping any one.

They have a great selection of clothes. Thats about it. Its always very crowded because the alisles are small and when employees are working in the alisle they leave crap in the middle, dont bother to move it for you or apologize . None of the employees ever acknowledge customers. When you want to cash out you have to ask more than once for someone to cash you out. Its very unorganized. I will never go back there again.

They sold me a pair of jeans that the minions overlooked as damaged when they accepted them from someone else. They did not fit my daughter. When I brought them back I was accused of tampering with the ticket, and my DAUGHTER ruined them! In a second hand store my character and my familys was being slandered over a pair of Abercrombie & Fitch jeans that I might add are probably the nicest of items in the store. Is anyone going to mention the fact that they are racist at this store? I walked in with brand name clothes bought at macys and i was told that they do not buy Walmart brand clothes. But since when does walmart sell Guess or American Rag? not to mention the fact that on their website it says that they want to buy faded glory which is clearly a walmart brand. Smh. I was treated horribly and another black couple was told that they wouldnt buy their junk !! Really?? They have no right to speak to people of color that way. Not to mention this white woman was selling her kids Walmart brand clothes and they gladly accepted it. Total racism.
