I called to change the emblems on my car and asked if they could install my mudflaps. I arrived and they took my car on short notice as well, and did the job quickly. Everyone was beyond nice, the woman at the front was so kind even offered my daughter and I drinks and a bagel / munchkins. As i waited for the car, i noticed They were also very helpful with other guests coming in with car accident fixes/ etc. There was also a Boy Scouts car wash going on, very nice of them. After my car was completed Hassell also cleaned it. A small request and they delivered great customer service, conversation, and an overall positive experience. I recommend this auto body repair to everyone.

The staff are all friendly professionals who take pride in making your car safe to drive and beautiful. They never use after market parts because the quality and safety are not as good as original parts. They have the equipment and expertise to get all the safety features of your car calibrated perfectly. I see the cars that are going back to clients and they look better than when they were new. My car got towed here after an accident and after I got news that it was totaled, I went to go get my personal items in the morning when they first opened. There was a little bit of confusion (my insurance company had yet to update them that it was totaled) but the woman at the front desk was very helpful and got to the bottom of it quickly. She saw me on my phone as she was walking in for the day and when I went inside, she asked what was going on and jumped right in to help figure things out. After it was all sorted out, which only took a few minutes, I was able to collect my stuff and head out. I was really happy with the customer service here. While my car didnt get fixed, the woman working behind the counter was very polite and wanted to figure things out quickly and surprised me by jumping in before she even got behind the counter. Ill definitely recommend this place just because of the customer service alone!

Ive been a long time customer of Hassell Auto Body and heres the reason, my car was bumped in a parking lot and my bumper and quarter panel became slightly misaligned. I stopped to speak to Doug or Bob ( both are extremely professional, kind and friendly). They took the 10 minutes to re-align my bumper and reattach a piece. Both refused any compensation because thats the kind of family, community friendly business they have built. The quality of workmanship is outstanding. They stand behind every repair they do. Ive lived about 2 minutes walking distance from this place for almost 3 years and never thought to take my car here for any reason because I assumed it was going to be too expensive for the service. I needed an upper and lower radiator support welded and Google searched places on the island that could do it. I read the reviews on this place and held off for a few weeks. I went by there this past Saturday afternoon to describe my issue with my car to Liz, but the way, very courteous and welcoming, and she looked up the parts in front of me and gave an estimate of 1,500 for parts and labor. She stated that if I could safely bring my car in, they could look at it and assess the situation to possibly be done at a cheaper price. So I took a chance and went to go get my car and have it evaluated on site. She and Doug, I believe, expressions right away that it could be welded and have my hood latch cable placed back in working condition. 4 hours of labor at 69 per hour sounds way better than the original estimate. So I decided to leave my car there as she said it would be done by Monday afternoon when I got out of work. They even offered to pick me up from work to come pick up my car, like who else does this extra essential assistance? HASSELL DOES, THATS WHO! Liz noticed when I handed her my car keys, that the ring of my key breaking and she actually prepared to go fix it herself, sheeesh 😊I leave work Monday to go pick up my car and as Im almost there, she calls me to let me know that its ready and it took only 3 hours!!! Im in so much awe and excitement. I arrive to see my Maxima sitting very clean and wheels glistening. I tell my girlfriend, Noooo they Didnt Wash my car?! 🤣 Sure enough, they did and I looked through my window and seen that they even vacuumed and sorted out my junk in a neatly manner! They even bagged my recycle bottles ♻️😅 Its an overwhelming feeling to know that they took care of my car as if it were one of theirs. I highly recommend this business as I received more than a 5 star service. Even when leaving, everyone working there says Goodbye and its definitely a feeling as though you just left a family reunion ❤️

Not sure where to begin..was referred by a friend who was Very satisfied getting his suv repaired there last year. My new ram was parked and hit recently and I decided to try Hassell. Best thing I did. Upon arrival, I was greeted warmly by staff, and my rental car that was Supp to come (Enterprise) was running 30 min late- told Doug the owner abt the bad experience I had w them over the summer and he was well aware abt them and their shady practices of Double charging etc and recommended I try Hertz. I agreed and within 15-20 min, I was driving home in a RAM (for Less $) than the STANDARD CAR Enterprise offered for the MORE $!!The repair was completed on time and I couldn’t be happier!!Thanks Hassell!(PS I referred 2 friends since and they also have been Very satisfied!)

During the corona pandemic my 7 month old Passport was hit by a lady making a left. I thought the truck would never be the same. Hassell was open and took me right away. I had a large scratch on my car and went to Higbee Collision to get an estimate to fix it. They told me that the door had to be painted and it would be $400. I then went for another estimate to Hassell Auto Body. Doug looked at my car and said he would try to buff it out. It took about 5 minutes and the scratch was totally gone and didnt even charge me. I am so happy I went there for a second opinion. They are the best.

Please don’t waste your time with this place if you want things done within a timely manner. Not one thing they have told me has been right. I have been waiting almost 2 weeks for one rim to come in the mail. It was ordered on a Monday and I was told it would be here latest Friday. Then Friday came an it switched to latest Monday then latest Monday night then after that latest Tuesday morning then I just gave up. I was told before this that it would take 2 days to recondition all four of my rims... a week later and I still don’t have my car back yet. So it’s safe to say I will never be going back here. They get 1 star

One of my rear power doors would not open or work in my van. It would not budge or open at all. I took it to Hassel on Saturday. The lady went and scanned my car. She told me it could be a few different parts. She told me how much it would be roughly if I needed certain parts. I asked if I could drop it off on Monday to be diagnosed. She said sure. I went home and googled the problem. I found everything she said it could be as potential problems. If it were certain parts they were about the same she quoted me. I dropped the car off this morning. I called at 130 and they told me my car was ready and the doors were working. I was shocked. I thought oh maybe it was a fuse. We picked up The van and they said that I had Debris in the track. They had to take off the door panel to clear it and then they greased it. Thesepeople charged me nothing. Its nice that they were so honest. We were prepared for the worst especially because my husband is out of work right now. ThankYou Hassell for being honest and taking care of our van. We will recommend you to everyone we know. Hopefully we will not need to use you again (that’s a good thing) but if we do, you willAlways have our business.

I went in for an estimate I have a dent on the drivers door my car is fairly new so of course it bothered me and I was upset. I met with Bob he told me it would be 800 to repair it the right way or they could try to bang it out and use touch up paint for 150. I decided to go that route since finances were an issue for me. When I dropped off my car I met Doug and he said he didnt think it would turn out very good so he wasnt going to charge me. What business does that? I couldnt believe it. Anyways I picked up my car yesterday and its so much better than what it was they did everything they could do. They are very honest. I definitely recommend this place they are fair and nice guys. Both times the experience, which anyone who has ever been in an accident, knows can be both terrifying and overwhelming, were made so easy by the staff. I always get asked what year is my car. Its a 2013 but everyone thinks its a 2017 or 2018. Unfortunately, I have had to utilize their services 3 times in the last 8 months. I have been sideswiped, a tree branch fell on my hood and been hit by a motorbike. Each time Hassell made my car look brand new! They dont just treat you like a customer they treat you like family. The staff is caring and friendly. They go above and beyond. They helped with the insurance company and the rental car company. All I had to do is drop my car off and pick it up when it was done. I contacted Hassell Auto Body after several friends recommended them. I spoke with Liz Adams about my accident and provided her with an accident report and some additional info she requested. Liz took care of everything from working with the insurance adjuster to arranging a rental care. I can’t say enough about how well I was treated by Liz and the staff and the excellent service that was provided. Liz Adams and Hassell are outstanding and I wish I could give more then 5 stars. The work was completed in the time frame I was told and the car looks new, excellent work.

I made contact with Hassell, because I thought that due to an accident I would need to find a reputable auto body shop. Since they had won Best of LI for the past four years, I decided to give them a call. I spoke to Liz, who provided me with so much information and literally walked me through the steps of releasing my car from another shop. As it turned out, the adjuster was already on site and assessed the damage to my car. She obtained his phone number, told him the details of my accident, spoke to the person at the location where my car was towed to, and got back to me to advise me of the next steps I was to take. As it turned out, the car was declared a total loss. Liz knew this prior to calling me but went through the steps with me anyway.This is the kind of company that I want to do business with--a company that goes above and beyond for the best interest of all involved. How often do we find such businesses? I hope I am never in a position again to require body work, but if I can recommend them to ANY friend or family member, I would hands-down say that this is the company you want to handle your vehicle. Professional, courteous, and knowledgeable.

Today I found out something about this business that shook me to the core and I would like to enlighten the rest of the community on how Hassell is SO MUCH MORE than an auto repair shop. I am sure you have all witnessed the many car wash fundraisers that are conducted at this business for Boy Scouts, school groups etc but what you don’t know is the extent that this owner goes to for these events. He is gracious enough to offer up his parking lot, supply the water needed and make sure everything is set and ready to go before the group arrives which in itself is more than most local businesses do for their communities. In reality just that alone should suffice but nope, not at Hassell. On top of everything else, this wonderful man supplies whatever group that is there fundraising with food and drinks throughout their fundraising event. I arrived there at 12:30pm with a crisis concerning my company car, and the car wash was going in full swing. On a nearby table set up and provided by Hassell, were the remnants of breakfast, bagels, donuts, juice, and coffee and within a few minutes of my arrival there was a pizza delivery with soda and bottled water to wash it down with. All of the food was paid for NOT by the group doing the fundraising but by this very generous business owner. Yep, you read that right. So not only does this man offer up his business for our kids, but he also provides them with food and beverages. There are not many businesses that go to such great lengths to give back to the community that was essential in growing their business. Usually a local business is good for a coupon for a free hero, free pizza etc when it comes to supporting the community which has helped their business thrive, but Hassell goes above and beyond and to me just on that alone I know I will always use them for any auto body repair need in my future and will make sure I recommend them to everyone I know. This is a company that is deserving of the business it receives. As you can see, I was very emotionally moved by the generosity of this establishment. Other local businesses should take notes on not only how this man treats his community, but his employees as well. His business is a success because he is invested in people themselves and not the all mighty dollar. He is a true gem.He also took care of my dire situation concerning my company vehicle at 12:30 on a Saturday afternoon with no hesitation and again I was moved to tears by his overall generosity and his genuine concern for me as a person, not as his next bank deposit. I have utilized Hassell twice now, both for out of pocket repairs. Most recently I brought my new car in to get an estimate on a bumper scuff that occurred during my first week of ownership. I recently had my vehicle repaired at Hassell Auto Body in West Babylon and I cannot express how professional and HASSELL FREE my experience was from start to finish. From towing my car, handling the insurance company, getting me a rental, getting my car back when promised. I will never go anywhere else. What a great experience. Before going to this shop, ask yourself if you want your car to look brand new, for the best price around. If its a yes, you better come here . I had damage from my front bumper all the way to my rear bumper from a side swipe. I went to 2 different shops to get estimates. While both gave me estimates I couldnt afford, and shoved going through insurance down my throat, a family member told me to go to Hassell. Not only was price jaw dropping compared to the other places, but i picked up my car today and it looks brand new. Not only that, but the inside and outside of the car was cleaned so well its literally like a brand new car. 10/10 would recommend!

You cannot even compare the staff at Hassell to any other place. People take for granted that insurance companies are going to do the right thing. Our car was hit by someone else while parked. The other insurance company tried to play games with who was paying for it and the rental car and were dragging their feet the whole way. Doug and his staff advocated for us and made sure we knew our rights and the insurance company did what they should. This would have been a complete nightmare without them. I would never go anywhere else. Thank you everyone!

Everyone is friendly, courteous and knowledgeable. All work coming out of the shop is well beyond expectations. The vehicles look better than when they were on a showroom floor.

My wife got into an accident. I heard from a family member that Hassell was the place to go for great work, great service, and they deal with all of the insurance work. We talked with Ryan at Hassell, he was nothing short of exceptional. In a time of stress after my wife got into the accident he helped lift all of the stress off of our shoulders. He said they will deal with the insurance company, they will get the car looking new, and they will set me up with the rental. Ryan delivered on all of his promises and he and hassell went ABOVE and BEYOND to make this stress free, or shall I say, HASSELL FREE! A+ company with amazing customer service!

A big shout out to everyone at Hassell for the way they handled my accident. My truck was totaled after being parked on the street. Dealing with the insurance company of the man who hit me was a nightmare. Hassell made everything I was dealing with so much easier. They helped with the rental company so I could have transportation without paying a dime. They kept me up to date while waiting for the the insurance company to get back to me with my total loss. I highly recommend bringing your Vehicle here to be fixed or in my case be handled with a total loss. They are very friendly and very professional while handling everything. When your situation is complete whether getting your vehicle fixed or a loss like mine you will truly feel like family was handling your case.

AMAZING!!!! Is the best word to describe hassell auto body and all of the staff there! My Mazda CX-5 was rear ended and I took it to hassell! They did an AMAZING job fixing the damage that it looked like a BRAND NEW car when I got it back. They returned it to me super clean! People were asking if it was a new car! I couldn’t believe how awesome it looked and I recommend hassell to everyone!! Thank you thank you thank you!

This was absolutely no hassle- not only wast repair done without any problems, my car came back to me as good as new - spotless inside and out - and what a delightful surprise to see that a five year old two foot long crease dent was taken out because Doug is OCD about cars leaving the shop in perfect condition.And just an FYI, Hassell gives back to the local community by opening on a Sunday and letting Boy Scouts and other groups do car washes for fundraising!

HASSELL is always there. ONE CALL and my car is picked up immediately taken in right away. All the hassle of insurance and renting a car was done for me. Talk about done fast before I even thought about it..car done and with top notch work..car looks brand new. Its definately true theres no hassle at HASSELL.

I got the dreaded call, Ive been in an accident, some guy slid into the back of our car and suddenly we cant drive our car. I had the car taken to Hassell Auto Body and within an hour, they had the damage written up, a rental car was waiting, and it was a seemless experience. When we picked the car up, it was as if nothing had ever happened, paint was matched, the car was detailed, they did the pin striping and were very happy. I hope that I never have to have my damaged car repaired again, but if something does happen, I will return to Hassell!

If I could give them 0 stars I would. I got work done by them a little over 3 years ago. They painted the hood and bumper of my car the wrong color and was willing to fade it for me to match the rest of the car. Sure enough I fought them and they painted it the right color. Thats not why Im writing this review now though. Recently my car was hit while parked in a parking lot and I went to a different Auto Body shop because of the paint job situation. Well it turns out thats not the only thing they did wrong. They welded a side panel to the bracket that holds my engine (something that should be bolted on). They drilled holes bigger to make parts fit and then didnt paint it so there was rust everywhere they did work. They didnt bolt everything down, welds and bolts were missing. They did a half-ass job on my van and god forbid that welding they did to the right panel caused any frame damage there is NO WAY they insurance company from the other driver would cover it!!! Im pissed!!! I will NEVER USE THEM AGAIN!!! They do a horrible job and anyone who goes there god forbid you get into another accident you could be screwed. Im so glad I found this new place.
