Great customer service and friendly staff. Took a while to wait for the trailer to get hooked onto our truck but all good in the end.

The manager at this store is the type of person to not rent to you biased off of her personal opinions. Personal I believe this place was a huge waist of my time. All of the other employees where very nice and understanding! Sometimes people have bad days and biased off of these reviews it seems this store manager has nothing but bad days. !!! Updated I called corporate and they basically told me that they don’t care at all about bad reviews on google at all as a matter of fact those bad reviews do not stop them at all from continuing in business. This is what’s wrong with billion $ company’s they don’t care about there employees or there customers.

What a nightmare. I scheduled a hitch install in April for a month later in May (not by my choice). The day rolled around and 30 minutes before the appointment I get a voice mail to call them because they didnt have the parts. Of course, I called right away and was directed right to their call center, not the store. I was on hold for 20 minutes to only have them hang up on me once it started ringing. I ended up going to the store because that seemed to be the only why to talk to them. Basically I was told there was no hitch and I would be given a call when it was in because there is a hitch shortage. Now we are a month out from the original install date and I havent heard a word. Ive tried calling the store 10 to 15 times just to get an update but it goes straight to a call center that says that all they can do is leave a message for the manager to call me. I had them do that several times over the last two weeks and have yet to get any call back. So, I went online to another service and order a hitch and it arrived within four days at my home, so Im not sure what this shortage is about. I am absolutely never going to use their services again.

Yes U-Haul moving n storage is great I cant believe how quick n easy they made the move once we rented the 15 truck we were done in 3 or 4 hours

Id rate this less but i cant. The bad experiences ive had here are far outweighed by the customer service tyler gave. He was always all smiles. Explained everything in depth when asked. He is the first person beside me to ever hook a trailer to a truck i own. I am very particular as to how they are hooked up for saftey reasons considdering some of the things i pull. I would let him hook any trailer to any of my trucks without double checking them myself any time. As for the equipment. The car hauler worked great for the small car it pulled. Was very glad he was there when i dropped it back off. Fantastic customer service kind of a waste him working the yard!

I purchased my hitch online August 2020 and scheduled the installation appointment November 2020. I had to reschedule my appointment due to employee receiving covid. Rescheduling was a bit of a hassle due to no direct line or contact to the facilityI had to communicate through the U-Haul call center, which resulted in couple miscommunications to the location. 3 months later after rescheduling 3 times I finally got my hitch it installed Feb 2021.I was told the install time would take 3-hours. The overall time was longer than expected about 4-5 hours. I had some high level of expectation for the hitch and thought it was going to look like the photos as displayed in the show room (mounted inside the bumper), but I was wrong and was in utter disappointment. If you care about aesthetics I would recommend going to the dealer to get the factory hitch installed in lieu of a U-haul. The installer never explained how the hitch was going to be undermounted. If they did, I probably would have never followed through with the hitch installation. Personally, for older vehicles and thoes that dont care what it looks like I would recommend, but for newer looking vehicles I would spend the extra money to get a factory hitch installation suited for the make of your vehicle and keep with the appearance.I called u-haul corporate to see if there was anything they could do to get it removed. They could not do anything since this location is a franchise and it is up to the discretion of the manager. Well the manager was no help or never called offer a resolution after I was disappointed.

The Owner at the location is very rude & unprofessional. She disregarded all of my questions. Cut me off every concern I had with my reservation. Made me wait 30 minutes in line just to discover they had no trucks available. Very slick attitude I do NOT recommend this location anymore. Sad thing is, I am a consistent customer here so yo get treated like this hurt my feelings.

If I could give 0 stars I would. I feel bad for there employees having to deal with a manager as rude and self centered as her. What a horrible experience I didn’t even wait in line after seeing how the person ahead of me was treated.

Horrible service. Reserved a truck weeks in advance and went to pick it up and the owner told me he didn’t have one. Didn’t do anything to help, wouldn’t rent me another truck that was sitting there, never called the person who had the truck, never tried to get me another truck. Would not do a thing to help, just told me I wasn’t getting a truck and I could try the main number for Uhaul. After being on hold for 1 1/2 hours I finally got through to someone who called the location and got them to give me another truck. Ended up being delayed in my moving by 3 hours, and while there waiting 3 other customers had the same problem of a reservation with no truck. The owner of this location is not helpful in any way and very rude.

All the bad reviews are true. I cant believe a business that is run as poorly as this still exists. I ordered and paid for a hitch and installation, scheduled an appointment for 11 days later, and received an email confirmation. When we arrived at our appointment time, the owner seemed to have no clue why we were there. He informed us that they dont even do installations on Tuesdays and Thursdays, so nobody was there to install it. Additionally, he told us that they did not have any of the parts that we paid for, nor had they even attempted to obtain them. We were told it would take weeks to get the parts, and that they would call us when they were ready. Thats completely unacceptable, I dont have a limitless amount of time to wait until someone finally gets around to ordering and installing the things that we paid for and scheduled up front. This is a deceptive and dishonest business practice, and for that reason, I will be reporting to the Better Business Bureau and the Consumer Financial Protection Bureau. They were unable to provide the parts AND the installation, and now Im having a difficult time getting a refund, and may have to initiate a chargeback with my credit card provider, to get my money back. I see this is not a one-off incident, this same exact thing seems to be a recurring problem with many other people, as well. Save yourself money, time, and headache, and go somewhere, anywhere else. I would give 0 stars if I could.

I recommend spending your time at a different U-haul location. We ordered a truck reservation for 9 AM on Saturday and we showed up only to find out, day of, with no prior email, that they moved the reservation without our consent or knowledge, to 230 PM. Thats absolutely wrong and insensitive.

Really poor business practices, non-existant customer service. Wife paid for a trailer hitch and wiring installation, scheduled an appointment, and when we arrived we are told they dont have any of the products we paid for, and they dont have anyone to install them, nor do they have any idea if/when they can provide any of it. Have so far been unable to get a refund as well, despite them being unable to give us the parts or installation we paid for. Super shady, dishonest, deceiving business practices. Wish I had read the reviews here first, wouldve saved us time, hassle, and headache. Dont go here, you will regret it.

This is the worst ran U-Haul I’ve used and a rent them monthly. Use any other in area owner is useless and full of nasty attitude every time I’ve been here. Even for U-Haul it’s another level for worthless customer service.

Worst experience ever! DO NOT RENT ANYTHING FROM JOSE!! He is a thief! He told me I had to have the truck back at 3pm or he would charge me a penalty fee. What? So we decided not to use their truck. I take it back and he charges me like i actually used it. I literally took it right back with maybe 3 miles on it. Can you say Robbery? Go to the one on State Street, they will take care of you there!!

Two days in a row I walked in and getting help was impossible. First day I was ignored and see through. Second day the bold guy didnt acknowledge me until I stepped to the counter and in which time he told me can you step back like thanks maybe if you would have started talking to me first I may have not even approached the counter so closely to get your attention. But if a turn off of work and sells is the goal you are on track. I wanted to get a tow hitch put on and rent a trailer to Az. Missed out on a reasonable amount of money twice... shame shame.

Why even going there for propane refills. Waited 45 minutes for nothing. Guy behind the counter says he was busy. I walked in after 30 minutes and I was the only person in there. Said he be out in a minute. Maybe he was just to lazy, take your tanks somewhere else

We had an appt for a hitch install. Paid in advance. Arrived for them to tell us our part wasnt there. No call the day or even hours before our appt time. We got barely an apology, no compensation for time wasted. At least we got our money back but a horrible experience, take your business elsewhere for hitch install

I rented a truck last Friday, which per the retail agent I drove 8 miles (we had documented 5). I placed $10 worth of fuel before drop off-so approximately 3 gallons for 8 miles. I was subsequently charged for a non-fuel fee of $15. I didn’t leave the truck running at any time. I made 1 trip that was 5 minutes each way and returned it. I wasn’t even given the opportunity to look at it together at check in, as the rep swiped the paperwork out of my hand and took off running-I assume because it was 20 minutes to closing time. Perhaps their agent left the truck running (as they always do)?$25 in gas for 8 miles? I don’t think so. I have given a fair amount of business to this location. Never again!

When making a reservations by phone the staff or customer service ( spoke to a female staff ) which really didnt seem to take down and ask for clarity to send an email correctly which I had to call to find out why I didnt receive a confirmation. When I had to reach out again, the customer service staff who I had spoken to before the store closed fix and corrected the problem but none of this would had happened if the staff during the morning hours, the staff would have done her job. Hear is a thought do the job and provide service like it should instead of lacking on the job not providing best services. If I could recall the staff who had handled fixing this matter I thank her based on her skills and assistance. Thank you.

I was asked whether I wanted the extra insurance coverage, say no, but, somehow was charged for it. I left as I was in hurry to get where I had to be and not till I returned the trailer did I look at the receipt and saw the extra $8. My bad for not taking the extra 20 seconds to review the receipt right away - normally do when renting vehicles as I have heard of this type of thing happening.The person at the desk said there was nothing she could do. Pretty sneaky if you ask me.

Ordered a uhaul from a different location, and due to availability, was supposed to pick up from this location.This location did not call either of the numbers provided. Did not reach out to let us know which location to pick up at.This failure to communicate was a huge inconvenience in our moving process.Can not recommend this location.

Be careful when booking online. I went to book a Truck on Friday on the website it says 0.79 a mile.When you actually get to the store they will tell you its 1.79 a mile because you booked it on a Friday or on Saturday. Total switch and bait. I would have booked my truck at budget if I would have known this. They do not tell you this until you get to the store. Even the email I had said nothing about a surcharge.

Great service from Antony and Christine! Very affordable trailer rentals! In and out service and you can drop the trailer off after hours! I would highly recommend this Uhaul location to anyone in the area.

Large and easy to find U-haul rental site with competent and helpful staff and a large selection of various shipping, packing, and moving supplies. The parking lot is a bit difficult to navigate, but not prohibitively so. They have a nice selection of vehicles and equipment for rent and also provide options for storage onsite. I would go back here.

Long wait times in line to rent, even with a reservation. Computers are frequently giving them technical difficulties.

Everytime I go for propane I have to wait 15-20 minutes for someone to acknowledge that Im back there after I ring the bell for service. A customer is a customer. Should be first come first serve. Someone getting propane shouldnt have to wait until front counter is empty before getting service!

I use Uhaul for all my moving needs. I have never had any major issues with the equipment and or staff. Old management was the best and that is why they were promoted. The new management gets the job done. I will continue to use uhaul and this location.

Stopped in for propane. 1hr later finally got out. 10min. To get tank filled. 50 minutes to pay. Two others walking around doing nothing, 1lady working at counter working. The yard man who filled propane overcharged me too. He also argue with me how long my tank is good for. For your information propane 20lb tanks are good for 12years date stamped of manufacturered. 5years date stamp of recertification. Maybe these places need to train there employees and get employees who have half a brain. One more thing 3.6 gal of propane filled from the pump is not 3.7gal. Charging me$ Come on Uhaul you guys can do better than this. The way this store is going you might as well turn off the lights and close the doors for good. Whos going TO come there with service like this?

I went there to get propane filled. The lady at the counter said it would be a few minute wait but I could go back by the pump and the guy would meet me there. 30min later I ask the guy out in the lot if they were going to be getting to me soon. His response: Propane is closed. I dont have time for that. Dont waste your time there like I did.

Express checking online will only save you 10 minutes, if it works.... Didnt for me. Express checkin, you still have to wait in line. waited in line for 40 mins. Took around 55mins to get our reserved truck. Meanwhile, 5 cars waiting for propane refill and the first guy is mad hes been waiting for 45minutes. Wow... This place is waaaaay to under staff. Never again, I will go there...

Could be better but when you have over 10 people in the store and only have 1 person running the register and giving out customer service it makes the experience worse than it could be. Waiting in line for 30 minutes to an hour should never be an option when the franchise is world wide. Hire some more employees and stop milking it.

I have rented a few things from this location, both trailers and light trucks. The staff has always been very helpful and friendly. The first time I rented a trailer i had some problems with lighting, the person helping me (cannot remember his name) was great in getting the connection fixed and working.

Needed a larger truck in the last minute-staff was very accommodating and curtious. We were given a brand new vehicle for our 1800 mike trip. Check out was quick-best experience with uhaul yet. Well done West Allis!

They rent out a janky truck thats ramp doesnt function proper nor does the door and when you bring it back they say not to worry theyll fix it for the next person. That didnt help at all for our move. Not to mention the service is slow if you can call it that, theyre understaffed and to rent the truck it was a half hour wait and to return it took forever as well. The guy who attended our return was rude as well. This is one place I would definitely advise against. It was such an adverse experience Im actually writing a review which rarely happens.

The billing process is horrible, when I first rented space it took them 2 times to enter my information, it took over an hour to rent a storage container. They dont understand the word customer service. Dont rent storage space from this place, there are so many better run U-Hauls in Milwaukee area, go there.

Jose and Bill saved my day! from that horrid mobile checkin. Its still too new. Dont be the Guinea pig that fumbles on the dark freezing at an odd hour of the day hoping some stranger on chat approves your photo so you can get the truck they promise you will be easy to get with a virtual checkin. Jose found me at 7am and corrected everything in a heartbeat. Bill forgave me for the mud I tracked in on the drivers side upon return. Cherish your fellow humans before artificial intelligence swallpws us all.

Terrible customer service. I was already annoyed that they didn’t call or leave a message that my hitch couldn’t be installed. Came in to pick up vehicle and had to listen to the 2-3 guys in back swearing and talking about bowel movements. Take it somewhere else guys this is your job be professional or at least fake it till you make. Come on man.

Terrible customer service, #1 listen to the customer do not cut them off. #2 dont blame the customer for your mistakes.I have spoken both with the lower managers and the Milwaukee Regional office manager Miguel. UHaul directed me to this drop off location that does not exist in Waukesha. Has not been permitted by the city of Waukesha in years. Took over 2 hours to have them approve me to drop off truck in west allis. This is after a 6 hour drive and 3 hours of unloading, dropping off the rental 2 days early... The first manager insisted the drop off was a real location even though it hasnt been permitted by the city of waukesha in years. Miguel admitted the Waukesha location was not in operation, but did not listen and kept cutting me off, insinuating Uhaul was doing me a favor and not charging me extra money for the Waukesha drop off location even though I could have cared less where I brought it and Uhaul had told me to go there over the phone earlier in the day. I said i was disappointed with him and that he was not providing customer service beyond that of the first manager. Then he tried to blame me and say I was only mad because I was not getting my way? What way? Blaming me for your mistake? How about you listen to the customer. Terrible customer service. I will continue to escalate this issue until I am listened to. I went with UHAUL because of the national name and thought drop off would be easier even though PENSKE was $140 cheaper. BIG MISTAKE.

Gave me some bs story why they couldnt fill my propane. Guy cant do math and jumps to saying you cant transfer that much propane. I have nowhere near the limit he claimed was illegal to transport.

Talk about self involved! Hope you have time to wait for the manager to finish her Facebook posts before helping customers. I scheduled a pick up for a 26 foot truck for a twelve hour move starting at 8am on July 22nd 2018 and I received a confirmation email shortly after scheduling. When I arrived to the store on 108th St. in West Allis I found that the store had not yet opened and was suppose to open at 9am. After several attempts at reaching the store manager by phone at the desk inside the store, I decided to call uhaul customer care. Approximately 30 minutes later I was greeted outside. Instead of apologizing for the inconvenience and the wait she told me that I needed to download an application to pick up the truck before store hours. No one made mention of this during appointment making and it was not in my confirmation email. At approximately quarter to nine I was handed a completed rental contract by one of the employees. I asked to go over the contract and look at the truck with someone to ensure there was no damage. The managers response was we dont do that here, take pictures if you want, Im not doing this right now!. Her professionalism and courtesy was virtually nonexistent. Ive never had an issue with uhaul in the past.

Very slow staff. They were giving me hard time with the large boxes I bought online saying we dont have proof that you did or didn get them yet. Charged me for gas even though the meter didnt change that much.

Rude staff, showed up 3 minutes late for a rental I had scheduled, and made me talk through the door like a dog, im fine not being serviced per being late. But being in too much of a rush to spare a minute to speak to me as a normal person really put me off.

Didnt have the size truck I reserved causing me to make 2 trips and paying the movers overtime plus all the extra miles. The place I dropped it off even made the comment that I was played. Worst moving experience ever.

Great price on propane. Got 2 bottle filled. Tell them to fill by wieght. 100lb bottles dont have OPD valves. 23.6 gallons is correct for a 100lb bottle. They put 60.3 gallons in my 2 100lb bottles. I thought great extra propane until I put them in garage and they started leaking propane because it was expanding. Had to open up both bottles and let a few pounds out to keep them from contstantly leaking into the garage. That was an explosion waiting to happen. Glad we smelled it before turning on the heater or my wife went out to smoke. I didnt have to wait to get my bottles filled but I also had no clue until this incident about overfilling botrtles like they did. The guy said they can go by weight but he does it the lazy way and waits until the machine cuts off - dangerous on 100lb bottles not so much with bottles equipped with the OPD balves like the 20lb bottles.

Terrible experience once again James is working at the desk there are 5 or 6 people behind counter all laughing joking playing with there cell phones i am in the parking lot waiting to check in a piece of equipment. I always call and let them know i am in the lot awaiting the trailer to be checked in typically they answer the phone and say they will send someone out I called 9 times caller ID shows who it is they let it go to voice mail and not answer the phone 9 times the 9th time I walk in the phone is ringing so i know they can hear the phone James says you gots to come in You gots to come in you gots to come in. Come on lets speak proper english when someone came out they didnt properly check it in by having me show that the lights work on the trailer or by checking the stickers on the side. Erica when are you going to quit making excuses for James and when do you think anyone will learn over at that location that you are there for the customer I am not there for you.

Its expensive.. $19.99 plus miles and on top of that we gotta put gas in it too.. i had to rent a truck twice in 2 different days.. thats $180 for both days.. thats to much.. i move to much..
