Due to unforeseen circumstances my daughter missed her eye appointment that we waited 6 weeks for. My mom suggested I give Stanton Optical a call. I’m so glad I did they got her in right away and the customer service was incredible. My daughter is 11 years old and I allowed her to get her first pair of contacts they were so patient while teaching her what to do. They didn’t accept her insurance but the fees were so reasonable that even that didn’t bother me.

Scheduled a last minute appointment. I specified three times I needed to been for sudden vision problems. Was told that was fine and could assess glasses at the same time.I left work early and arrived. Lo and behold, my appointment was not with an actual eye doctor so they could not assess or treat my issues.It was never communicated to me that I would only be seeing a technician.They also told me my vision insurance was terminated. I confirmed 15 minutes later myself that my insurance is still valid and the information I provided was sufficient for them to look it up.Will never return.

Glasses took over 2 weeks before the notified me they were ready, pick them up and had to return them because I could not see properly. It’s been over three weeks and I still am waiting for them to replace them. I paid them over $240. 5 weeks ago for 1 pair of glasses with with basic frames.

We came to Stanton after a bad experience with the lenses from another local optical store and we were impressed with the knowledge and suggestions made by the employees at this location. The two pair of glasses we bought look great and were ready in less than a week. We would highly recommend them for your eye care needs.

The WORST experience. Terrible customer service. Tried to reach the manager, Susan, and took it to corporate. I have been requesting a call back for 2 weeks.My prescription was wrong--off by a full half point (for contacts). When I questioned, they told me to wait for my trial pair of contacts that would arrive in a week. As of a week after my 7/15 appt, the trial lenses were never even ordered. The person I talked to gave multiple excuses and back-tracked until he (Matthew) admitted they were never ordered. I ordered a box of contacts online because I needed SOMETHING in the meantime--and they arrived before my trial pair. (Keep in mind, not the correct prescription). At this point, I just want my money back for my appointment. I will need to schedule an appointment somewhere else to get the correct prescription.If I could offer negative stars, I would.

Great experience! Had to wait a little bit when I first arrived because they were a bit busy but in the end, totally worth it. Had to replace my lenses that were scratched and covered by warranty. $50 for two lenses and no hassle! The woman working (very friendly!) said they should be done in 2-3 business days but had them done about 3 hours later! Great service!

I was not a customer of Stanton Optical but had issues with my new frames fitting properly. I called Stanton and was told to come right in. Manager, Susan Leonard, helped fit my new frames and made needed adjustments. Even though I was not a customer Susan treated me as if I was. From now on I’m taking my business to Stanton. And, the adjustment was free!

I had an awesome experience here from the greeting coming in from Susan and Kayla to the eye tech and eye doctor!! I would recommend this place 10 outta 10!!! Susan also took the extra time to fix my glasses for me and helping me get setup for another pair! Also everyone was super friendly with my children as well. It was an overall wonderful experience

Most awful place to get glasses. My son has been waiting 3 months for his glasses. Each time we call another week and so on. I am taking the liberty to report them to the better business buerau. I dont understand how they can run a business such as theirs and not care. Sure they took my money and unfortunately here is my son without glasses. If you want good service, yes you pay a fee extra dollars. Go elsewhere not Stanton. Never again! And we still have no glasses.

I was greeted by Susan when I went for my eye exam. Marlene did the exam and they both did amazing. With just the two of them there they did their very best to help everyone. Even with a rude customer there that was not satisfied because it wasn’t up to her standards. Susan handled her very well and tried her best to help her. I got to sit down with Susan after she dealt with that customer and was completely satisfied with my visit!!10/10 would recommend

I was nothing but impressed with Stanton Optical in West Allis! I came into the clinic looking to get glasses made the same day as I had just found out that I needed urgent surgery and couldn’t wear contacts during my hospital stay. The clinic was very clean, easily accessible for me with my walker, and had plenty of room to move around within the clinic. Kayla was so professional during my testing and Susan walked me through purchasing my glasses- buy one get one free!, explained all of my options, went out and above to make sure I was able to walk out with glasses for my hospital stay. Kayla not only got them done in record time but they looked amazing. (I have really bad vision requiring very thick lenses and Kayla cut and beveled the edges of my lenses so the didn’t appear so thick) I will definitely be recommending this clinic to friends and family!

My entire fame now has eyewear from Staton Optical! The staff, Kayla, Susan, Marlene, LaShonda and a visiting store Manager, Douglas gave the utmost customer service at all of our visits! They spoke with a smile on their face and were very thorough with their communication. They engaged with us, felt like family. At first it was great, I visited before the pandemic received my glasses and contacts. Called to order more contacts mind you it’s a year later we all been through the worst year, I’ve been off work since March 15th 2020 and still off ! Was told my prescription had expired the day before I called, I keep everything so I go find my papers and find out that my prescription expired the day I called how ironic! I feel like they tried to take advantage of me on purpose! Said it was different date that they had, but they printed the papers so I don’t believe them and will never go back AGAIN!!! I hope they not taking advantage of people everyone is struggling! If you visit PLEASE KEEP YOUR PAPERS!!!!

I went to Stanton Optical in West allis, Wi and was very pleased with the service that I received. I was there a couple of months ago and didn’t listen to the Doctor’s recommendations. I now know that the Doctor was correct in wanting me to get anti glare, which I didn’t get at first, but now I went back to get it and Susan was very helpful with me. I also didn’t get get a couple other things that the Doctor recommended at first, but I did now. Susan worked with me to get the lowest price and now I have everything that I need to see better. If I could give anyone any advice, it would be to listen to the Doctor’s recommendations immediately and not be stubborn like I was. I would definitely go back without hesitation. I highly recommended the warranty for glasses. After my dog chewed both my pair of glasses I took them in to the store and was provided excellent service by I think her name was Astrid (my apologies if I misspelled your name). The process was seamless and I cannot recommend enough the warranty for your glasses. Crazy things happen like pets deciding to snack on frames but the good folks at Stanton Optical Oak Creek had me covered. Thank you guys...Also my dog is fine...

Broke my glasses and couldn’t see my regular doctor till July, decided to check out Stanton. Got to be seen right away, opted for refractive service(virtual doctor) and picked out my frame. Found out that they would be able to have them ready within 1/2 hour. Marleen and Susan were super awesome 👏 and thank you and Mathew for making the lenses that fast.

My husband and I were visiting our daughter for the weekend. She had appointments made for herself and her 2 teenage children to get eye exams and new glasses at Stanton Optical in West Allis, WI. We went along as we thought it would be fun to help the 3 of them to pick out new frames. We were really surprised at the vast number of frames that were available for purchase. Ive worn glasses for the past 60 years and I have never seen more options available.Susan did a fantastic job helping our daughter and our 2 grandkids getting their glasses all ordered. We then realized that Stanton Optical had a sale going where you could get 2 pair of glasses for the price of 1 pair.That was when my husband also became Susans customer at Stanton Optical. He had gotten a brand new pair of glasses from another national optical service about 5 weeks earlier, but he lost them about 1 week later. For 4 weeks we searched and searched for his glasses but we could not find them. The cost for those glasses was $500.00 + which is why we hadnt re-ordered them yet.So I asked Susan if I called the other optical store to get his prescription faxed to Stanton Optical right away would we be able to order his new glasses through her? She said absolutely. So now we had the advantage to not only get just 1 pair of glasses for my husband, but he could get the second pair free! And the absolutely best part of the whole deal was that his cost for 2 pair of glasses was HALF the price of his previous purchase from the other optical store. And yes, you read that correctly, his cost for 2 pair of glasses from Stanton Optical was HALF the price of his previous 1 pair of lost glasses We were floored. We had come in to help our daughter and grandkids pick out new frames, and we ended up having those 3 plus Susan helping pick out 2 new frames for grandpa!!!I know this is a rather long review for Stanton Optical in West Allis WI, but I want you to know that we live 3 & 1/2 hours drive north of West Allis and because of our visit with grandkids and daughters visit we were now able to get not only fantastic customer service, but my husband now has 2 pair of glasses for half the price of his previous purchase.You CANNOT do better anyplace else. I highly recommend Susan and Stanton Optical. They definitely provided what my husband needed, right when we needed them. Give them a try. You wont be sorry.

Very clean, the PCT Kristen was great, very nice and thorough with explaining everything she was doing and how to find the best brand of contacts. Then on the retail side I worked with Carlos who was extremely helpful, he helped me find the perfect pairs of glasses to fit my face even though I’m super picky, he also was very thorough when explaining contact care and the billing with my insurance, he also double checked to make sure I was getting the best deal! He was very polite and friendly!

Glasses are cheap even the expensive mark ones. Waited 20 minutes for worker to show up to work running late, and still didnt do her job. She kept calling me her co-worker name which is very rude. I guess because we were both black who knows what unprofessional people think these days. Learn to give customers the same quailty information when you pick and choose you end up with reviews like this one.Overall bad service. Just poor quality glasses and service will never return to any stanton.

There were so many people getting “exams” within minutes of each other. That made the store full of people. I got a “virtual exam” which is a joke. My prescription is wrong. As in they handed me a prescription that was impossible, there were numbers missing where they should have been and some left completely blank. You’re more likely to get covid than a correct prescription.

Scheduled an exam on line. Nice! Wasnt told it would be a virtual azam and was not able to ask Virtual Dr. any questions because she signed off super fast. Didnt gave the lenses i needed so i sat another 45 minutes before they could order them. They only had 2 employees and no Dr.s in the store. The manager was very impatient with all the customers.

Booked an eye exam appointment with the West Allis location 10:10am. Wasnt taken care until 10:45! Then had an appointment for my husband for 10:30 & as of 11:22 he still hadnt been seen! Worst experience ever! Dr not even in the room! 6 people given appointments between 1:30 and 2pm with only 1 Doc! Doc asked questions of the assistant so loudly that my hippa rights were violated! If you hate personal service, hate privacy, and love being hard sold on a credit card app, this is the place for you! NEVER AGAIN! I will wait for my regular to have an opening. At least I know why I got in within 3 days.Edit: wow, a canned response? Really? Yeah, but good enough. Which i did not expect, i wanted contacts lense and its my first time getting contacts, they misdiagnosed my prescription the contacts is blurry worst than my 3 yr old glasses. The review here is from my kid, a 10yr old...Looking for glasses was super easy when I went to Stanton Optical, West Allis, WI. The employees there were super helpful and friendly. Patricia, the employee that helped me, understood what kind of glasses I wanted and helped me until I could find the glasses I loved. Not only does Stanton Optical have friendly employees, amazing glasses, outstanding prices and deals, but, you also get your glasses the same exact day. I made an appointment for a contact eye exam only to find out it was a virtual appointment. I had no idea. Told the girl that I didnt think I needed multifocal contact lens because I am retired now. After the exam the prescription was written for a different brand of multifocal lens. I explained to Susan that I wanted lens for distance. She said she had to wait to talk to the dr to get the prescription changed. This took several minutes and all they did was change the brand on the prescription. Both prescriptions were changed from past prescription so I want to try contacts before ordering. Had to order samples they said 3 to 5 business days. Picked out a couple frames. She wanted to sell me bifocal lens. I told her I didnt need them in my glasses. For single vision lens glasses 470.00. Frames were 139.00. If you buy contacts from them they give you 50% on one pair. Or they have 2 for 1. They seem more interested in whether you have insurance and sales quotas here. Do yourself a favor go somewhere else.

Miserable experience. I wasn’t notified that there would be no doctor present until I arrived for my appointment. Staff was uninformed and rude, making me feel as though I was inconveniencing them. My eye exam was a complete joke. I was forced to slouch down in the chair, as the tech was unable to adjust the lens height. Uncomfortable the entire time. Prescription was way off. I brought this to the staff’s attention, only to receive odd looks and almost no guidance. I was forced to schedule a follow up appointment with a doctor in order to get my prescription correct. My trial contacts were missing a lens. When I called to resolve this, the manager (Susan) was rude and dismissive. She sarcastically offered to drive the contact lens to me, after arguing with me regarding the level of service I had received. Looking back, I would much rather have paid more for a pleasant, professional experience than return to this location in order to save a few dollars. Somewhat ruined my day off. I skeptically look forward to my follow up appointment at the Oak Creek office, hoping for better service. At the very least, I just want my correct prescription, so I can order contacts. We’ll see what happens!

Was excited to try Stanton optical out. Made an appointment online for 5:30 today. The place was completely empty and it took her awhile before getting up from her chair to even greet/acknowledge us. She looked confused when we told her we had an appointment. She told us they didn’t have enough time for the eye exam and that we had to reschedule. My question is why are they allowing appointments to be made if there “isn’t enough time”. Not to mention there was even a later spot available at 5:45 for an exam i could’ve taken so this made no sense. The lady was not pleasant to talk to and came across as not wanted to take an appointment because “they were almost closed”. If that’s the case, stop making appointments that you “aren’t able to take”. Will not be returning. America’s best provided a way better experience, I was greeted right away and they actually takes appointments that were made (and walk ins).

This place is a joke for real . Dont buy from them if your glasses break or have issues with the glasses you have to waot days to get them fixed. I used to work for a company similar to Stanton optical and it was a must that we had to learn how to fix minor problems because people need to see we cant go days without our glasses. Worst pair of glasses Ive ever purchased. The frames, although expensive, are cheap. The lenses are also expensive for their lowest options. Do yourself a favor, ask them for your prescription and just buy some glasses from EyeBuyDirect.com. (This is not an ad, just someone who found a much better option)Also the whole remote eye doctor thing is (although cool technology) impersonal. I put my order in on Nov 18th and they were supposed to arrive on Dec 2nd. On Dec 3rd, after going to the store, I found that my order had been returned due to a scratch and wouldnt arrive until Dec17th (one month after the original order). I never received a call or notification of this. I explained to the person that I am currently in the process of moving out of state and how inconvenient it is not to be notified. It is now Dec 19th. I went in to see where my order is and was told they were sent back a SECOND time, with no reason given as to why, and again NO NOTIFICATION. There customer service SUCKS and I was only given the option to have it shipped to me if it doesnt arrive before I move. I spent quite a bit of money here and they have absolutely no respect for me as a customer. I tried to call the customer service line and see if there was anything that could be done; he was extremely rude and unhelpful. Been waiting for a little over a month now for a pair of glasses to come in. The first pair was frames I provided for them to put new lenses in. Those were melted and bent out of shape. So I was given choice of new frames. I picked some out, happy to hopefully get them within about two weeks. Waited to hear anything. Got no calls. So I called. And they said theyll call back. And Ive gotten no calls at all about my glasses Ive been waiting for. Im frustrated, and reading anything is irritating at this point. I just want to be able to see again clearly.

Edit:RedemptionOnly 5 people in the store at a time, even with an appointment, due to social distancing rules. I have been waiting 25 minutes with an appointment and havent been able to enter the store yet, making me late for this appointment and this will mess up the rest of my schedule for the rest of the day.Once I called and made the office aware, they updated management on the situation. Management got me in, and through the process quickly, and with the purchase of .y contacts gave me 50% off both my glasses, safety glasses and specialty lenses. Experience would be 5 stars if not for the struggles due to covid.

I had a great experience today at West Allis Stanton Optical! Kristin, Patricia, and Stephanie were fantastic. I scheduled an eye exam, picked out frames, and left with glasses in the same day! The engaged customer service was really appreciated! Shout out to Kristin- Thanks for letting my daughter be your assistant!

My son and i just visited the Stanton on hwy 100. The staff was nice and courteous and that is much appreciated, however after picking one pair of basic glasses (cost 89.99) and using my insurance, them came the surprise of another $260.00 just for the lens. They were not bifocals. They were not tinted. The were not anti glare. Just because the prescription was a bit stronger “than the average person”. So basically 260 just for a bit more of basic lenses. I went to the competition and got 2 pair and exam for less than half and didnt even factor in the what the insurance would cover yet. Stanton, Can you say scam any louder? Definitely would not recommend

Had a very good experience with my 8 year old son here. Patricia was amazing and went above and beyond to help us in selecting his glasses (first pair of glasses for him!) & was great at involving and engaging with my son throughout the process. Ive been going to another optical chain for years but will be switching to Stanton with my next exam. Very happy. Highly recommend. My son loves his glasses! This was my first time here. The staff is so nice and helpful. Susan and Kayla took care of me at my appointment they were very thorough with what I would be paying and what was included. They have amazing deals and they got my glasses for me the same day, right after my appointment! It took about 30 minutes for the doctor to make my glasses . Highly recommended they are amazing ! ❤️

After 3yrs of not being able to find frames anywhere else that would actually fit and look good on my husband. We stopped in just to see if he could find anything he liked. We found a pair here and also found sunglasses, in which he was even more excited about. The was staff was very friendly and helpful. He was also happy that we didnt have to wait a week for them to be ready.

The techs at this store were amazing. And it was my first experience with Refractive Services remote eye exam. It felt space age and yet very personalized. My glasses were done in an hour. Sunglasses get sent out, so those will be back in two weeks. Overall a really super great exam and experience. Thank you!

She spent a lot of time with us (my husband and myself) She made us feel comfortable and did not rush us with our purchase ~~ we were there quite awhile(took me a long time to decide) but she helped us pick out our glasses and gave us a great deal!! This place is absolutely great! I couldnt find my insurance information, so they worked with me and my budget. They also gave me an a great discount for a 2nd pair of glasses that I really loved. I have been there twice now and the first time I was a walk in and didnt have to wait at all. The second time I scheduled and appointment and got in immediately. They also got both of my glasses to me the SAME DAY! Patricia is also GREAT to work with!

When to have my left eye checked. After a joke of an eye, they determined that I needed glasses. After they made the glasses, when I placed them on my face, it made my vision very poor. I told him that those glasses were not going to work. On top of all that, they scheduled me for an additional exam, which is performed by somebody over 1000 miles away. Their Eye exam is done virtually Through the Internet. This is a joke!After the second I exam was inconclusive and they cannot tell me what was going on, I demanded they refund my money for the glasses, yet they kept my money for the eye exam which both were inconclusive.I have never been contacted by their optometrist to find out if we can schedule an actual physical eye exam. They just kept my money for the exam which was inconclusive twice.

This location is the best. Dropped off glasses ( broken wire on lens)without an appointment Saturday afternoon . Glasses returned cleaned and repaired Monday no charge. Staff super friendly and attentive. Thank you so much. Great experience
