Scott was not easy to get a hold of but I met him after 5 at his lot and he was very obviously honest and knowledgeable. Hes a guy I would like to have in my own family. Gave me a couple hundred dollars off -- and I didnt even ask. Highly recommended!

The owner sold us a piece of junk. The first month after buying the vehicle, it already started having problems with the radiator hose popping off and the gauges malfunctioning. I remember once we purchased the vehicle, the owner told us to not drive over 50 mi/hr and never told us why.

Today I dropped in on ridge auto, I noticed that their cars and lot was clean, I felt no pressure as I walked around checking out there more than fair variety of vehicles.

A horrible place to get a vehicle he gives you deals but once your off the lot after paying for the vehicle been nothing but problems with the vehicle we got couldnt even make the monthly payments cause every time we would get one thing fixed another would arise got a truck for 4k from him and all the things that have gone wrong on it with cost of labor is gonna be more the 5k not worth buying a vehicle from ever

I walked into ridge auto looking for a small truck for my new lawn business. i was excited because i found a place that did in house financing and since my credit is poor it made sense to purchase a vehicle at ridge auto. They also had a good selection of manual transmissions.. almost everything in the lot was what i was looking for . the sales person i dealt with seemed to be the owner of the place.. he has a heavier build . he didnt come up to us and ask us any questions which was actually nice but when i was asking him about the vehicles on the lot he really didnt know what he was talking about. he couldnt tell me exactly where the vehicle was purchased or if he knew of any problems. anyway i found the truck i wanted and i sat down with the guy.. it was nothing but silence, he didnt talk to me at all. .i was kinda shocked. you would think this person who is selling a car would be talking about financing options. telling my how my down payment would be applied.. telling me about any warranties that he or the another partnered business would offer me. but he wasnt saying anything which made me feel very uncomfortable.. so i started asking him those questions. and when i asked him some questions it took him over 1 min to start to respond .. a min is a long time to sit in silence after a question is asked.. he had no eye contact the whole time. i put down over 1000 dolars on this vehicle the sale price was roughly 3600. but when he started drawing up the contract i saw the price of 4800 dolars on the car.. im all worked up and when i get worked up my mind is so narrowed i cant focus. i question him about the price and he said to me that the original value of the vehical had to be on the contract because the law required it for tax purposes. so i told him okay yea kinda makes sense. my payment is over 200 doalrs a month. the interest rate is 25 percent which is alot but in knew it was alot. i said sure ill take it signed the agreement. he didnt make me feel comfortable and i asked him if i paid off the car would the 25 percent interest be taken off the primary balance of the car.. and he said yes.. now thats all fine and dandy but ridge auto ended up selling my car note to a creditor.. and now they are saying i owe the entire vehicle amount with the 25 percent interest and im looking over my contract for the first time in awhile .. the late charge portion of my contract has no values put into the blanks and since im 1 month behind the company who bought my note is telling me i owe 25 percent interest on my daily amount every day it is late. on top of my 25 percent interest that the whole amount of my loan is already charged. which i didnt have to pay as part of my agreement with ridge auto.. so whats happening is that if i choose to pay off the entire balance of the vehicle i will be paying 590 dollars more on a slightly over 2k dolar loan.. plus since im late im paying 1.70 more a day even tho its not outlined in my contract. and i talked with the manager of this company that assumed my care note and she said something about the law allowing them to charge me a rate equal to the value of my 25% simple interest rate even tho the boxes are blank for the late payment portion. the good thing about this new creditor accepting my payments is that the creditor actually reports to the cred agencies. and i do need to fix my credit . i never established credit b4 and i have a few not so expenseive negative blemishes on my credit.. lol my score is 497.. but at least now ill be able to increase my score at a decent amount extra because of all this.. all around i feel like i got kinda screwed .. if you buy from here just make sure you have him sign something about paying the initial principal off early.
