There are not enough negative words in the English language to describe this place. However, if hell had a children’s clothing store this would be it. After entering the store which was FILLED with maskless shoppers and workers, I was told the “processing” of my items could take 2 hours. Also the quality of the items for sale was so poor, you could literally get better stuff for free from a charity. Which coincidentally is what I did with my beautiful belongings. I took them to Faith Farm. At least I know it goes to a great cause. I would almost bother to find the owner or manager of this store, but seeing how s@#$ runs downhill, I could also guarantee they wouldn’t care. I’ll be staying FAR away from this and any other once upon a child FOREVER. You couldn’t pay me enough to enter another one of the irresponsibly run “establishments”.

The Perfect Kiddie closet!!! Nice, clean and beautifully layer out! I use to bring all of my kids to the one I knew of in Orlando now I see it here in Wellington! Nothing about this place says second hand . Everything is categorize and coordinated from age, to color, and sex. Floors are clean and clothes are hanging so neatly. A mommy shopping dream. DO NOT bother selling. They sell you clothes but they wont take it back when you are selling them back. I wont be going back to buy either after that.I bought clothes for an infant, she didnt get to wear them, and when i took it back amongst other clothes to sell it to them, they didnt take it back. I had clothes that was given to me, brand new, the tags were off, they didnt take it. When asked why, they always have the same answee, washed off or stain, but it is impossible, when you know that you bought it from them 2 months ago and the baby nevee wore or the clothes are new.

I do shop there occasionally and find the deals to be fair. I currently have clothing in good condition that I could sell to them, however the staff have been consistently rude every time I have sold them items. I am going to donate everything to Goodwill and avoid the frustration of being treated badly.
Worse place to come staff very rude .. as soon as I walked in a staff called Marina roll her eyes as soon as I walked in and I came in with toys in bag and a soon as I put them up one of them told me they do not accept toys in a bag… that toys that I buy at target with no character that they do not accept .. baby dolls brand new one that doesn’t come with shoes they do not accept because the owner doesn’t want them.. then from all the toys she pick few books.and arm weapon… but then she didn’t accept the swords because they weapons .. she was going give 12.09 few stuff I said no .. she walked away and said aloud loud … what’s her problem just because I said no thank you.. Marina is the second time I deal with and she been very unprofessional .. being a kids store they should be more nice and polite ..
Both times I have been here, I’ve encountered different staff, and customer service was great! I sold a couple items and got fair deals. Not sure why people are offended by what they choose to buy your stuff at, they have to make a profit selling things at low cost... do the math. I didn’t expect much for what I was selling, but got better than expected. I was just happy to get anything because I was previously just donating it all! As for the stuff they sell, it’s not cheaper than a thrift store, but it’s in waaaaay better condition than the thrift store, and it is still way cheaper than shopping target or Nike deals. They have a great assortment of stuff you just need to take the time to sort through. Love this place, definitely coming back!!
Preparing for a trip and stopped in and found some great deals on clothes for our daughter.. Highly recommended stopping in for great buys and some absolute steals! Will be back again soon !

If you are looking for the best place to buy (and sell) your baby’s stuff (clothes, toys etc) look no further. This IS the place. Service is great and prices are very fair. So far everything we have bought have been in excellent condition.
Amazing selection of baby/children’s items. Things were so neat and everything was color coordinated & racked based on size which made outfit matching so much fun. Prices were unbelievable and many items still had store tags on. I can imagine selling items must be like donating based on purchase pricing so definitely keep that in mind. I mean I got a brand new sleeper onesie for $4.50 and a Burberry baby outfit for $12. Will definitely be back for more!

Seriously one of the nicest thrift stores Ive seen and the fact that its all kids stuff makes a it a plus! Super clean AND I as my baby grows I come in and sell clothes she outgrew or never wore and just buy more in her size right there! Not to meant the item steal of baby gear that cost a ton in regular stores!!
Good prices, poor customer service. You should greet all customer, especially since you are located in the Wellington area.
They do have some nice stuff. But if you are looking to sell your items I would not do it again. You get very little back. You are better off having a yard sale or give the items away to a charity. Not to mention the staff is busy talking to each other rather than the customers. I waited at the counter for some help and they still ignored me, continuing their conversation.

After reading the reviews, I almost took my son’s clothing to Goodwill instead. I took in a ton of boys clothes and was pleasantly surprised by the experience. First, the staff: they were helpful and pleasant. It took about 40 minutes to evaluate the clothes and they texted me when they were finished. Second, the sale: They accepted most of what I brought. The stuff that they rejected did look a little worn on second glance. Before going, I did the following: made sure everything was clean, ironed any wrinkled garments and checked for any pet hair or lint on anything. I wanted the clothes to look as new as possible. I tried to put myself in their position and bring them items that they could sell. They are in the business off making money and aren’t going to put items on the racks that aren’t going to sell. All and all it was a good experience!

I went here to browse for my daughter and son. They have a lot of inventory, you have to be willing to look through a lot. They have a lot of baby items such as swings, chairs, bassinets, baby wearing devices, etc. Store was a bit crowded the day I went but that was probably just the time of day I went.

Very bad service These people are so picky of the clothes you take in. I took good and brand clothing not stained or anything and got literally everything back and they didn’t even look at it because I left the store and in less than 10 minutes they were done and I took a lot of it 😡 all of the ladies that work there are so rude mostly the one that’s SUPPOSEDLY in charge I asked her some questions and she seem so bothered about me asking like hello people need to know that’s why you work there to give people good customer service NEVER SELLING ANTHING TO THEN AGAIN THEY JUST ROB YOUR MONEY 👎🏻

I went last week to the store and I loved the concept, but the reason that Im going to give 2 stars is for the customerservice. The store really should improve the customer service a lot, all the girls who work there have a bad attitude, ineducated. Also, their appearance look completely ill-fated, it seems that they wake up and went to work. If someone from the owners is reading this please take this comment into account for improvement. Since it is a very nice store, a childrens store, where mothers should feel welcomed. It was my first time getting to know the store and I got a very bad impression of its customer service.
Finally took the drive west to visit in hopes of finding some shoes for my kiddo. I was successful! They have a great selection and it was worth the trip. However, if you have plans to sell goods, be sure to make an appointment online beforehand. When I arrived on a Sunday mid-morning, the wait was 3 hours to have items reviewed for sale. Be sure to plan ahead! They do allow you to drop your items and come back - they can even send you a text alert when your items have been reviewed so thats helpful.
I went to sell my kid’s clothing, all in very good conditions, some not even worn and was returned everything because it was “wrinkled.” The clothing had not been looked at because it was folded the same way I left them folded. All the workers did in my time there was talk in a corner and utilize theirs phones. Terrible service.

I absolutely love this place! I can bring gently used clothes/toys and make some quick cash and also find great deals for my little ones! The staff is super helpful and the place is very well organized! Please, don’t go in there expecting them to buy everything you bring. They carefully examine each piece of clothing and make decisions based on how well the item is kept to its original state. So don’t get offended if they give you clothes or toys back. They only put really gently used clothes on their racks and I am grateful for that because I know that if I purchase something, it’s not going to be stained or really worn out. Make sure you iron and lay everything flat for less wrinkles and bring it in a plastic container if you are going to sell! This place is great!!! ❤️

I don’t even know where to begin!!!!! UNWELCOMING SERVICE!!!!! I live in Miami So I called this morning to verify what was going to be excepted or should i say what they were willing to take from people and buy, because I live so far away and I’d hate to get there and they not take anything! So when they answered i asked and as always they say clothes, shoes, ext. although they didn’t mention to me what they were not expecting, so I figured they were excepting everything! I had asked them if the except swings, strollers, baby carriers, baby bouncers, and they told me yes! I had let them know I live in Miami and it’s so far away and I had a bunch i stuff i was going to bring and they said alright no problem! I had everything in the book you could think of, from 2 full boxes of clothes ranging from the sizes 3-12 months, name brand shoes to a stroller. I was so excited and I packed my son up and I headed there! Let me remind you it took me about 2 hours give or take due to having to stop once for my son! When I got there the first thing they said to me was we are not excepting clothes anything lower then 9 months! II asked for a manager and they all just looked at me! I asked it another time and I had 2 out of 4 employees tell me there were no manager there! I GOT UPSET BECAUSE THAT NEEDED TO BE ADDRESSED, LIKE WHY DIDNT THEY TELL ME THIS ON THE PHONE THAT THEY WERE ONLY TAKING OR ACCEPTING CERTAIN THINGS! Then some lady said I’m the manager after she just looked at me and heard the 2 employees say there was no managers there! On top, that’s all i had in clothing plus the baby equipment. I kinda let that go for awhile because they said the baby equipment looked and it was in good condition, just needed to wipe it down a little, so i did that! then they told me to wait a little and since I had baby equipment that it shouldn’t take too long! It took 2 1/2 hours for them to go through all my clothes and equipment and let me remind you I have my 8 month old son with me, to only tell me that they were only willing to offer me $22 and some change for all my name brand shoes and 5-10 outfits! THEY DIDNT EVEN TAKE ANY OF THE BABY EQUIPMENT AFTER THEY SAID IT WAS GOOD! WALKED AWAY WITH NOTHING! I WILL NEVER SHOP OR SELL HERE AGAIN! AND ANYONE READING THIS REVIEW SHOULD LIKEWISE DO THE SAME!
Too, much time to wait, there are quite a few workersThere and then above that there are not boxes do you have to come back with your clothers because they don’t have a box available

Once Upon a Child is such a great place to find childrens clothing. You find such an eclectic variety of items that you could never find in a traditional store. Lets all be realistic, kids grow out of clothing fast. Which is what makes this place a staple for parents. You can buy what your kids need AND sell what doesnt work for them anymore. So much of the merchandise here is brand new with tags. The staff are so friendly and helpful, and its always a pleasure going shopping here.

Do NOT recommend. The people here are very bougie and high strung and I have absolutely no idea why. Not a welcoming atmosphere. I recommend the Palm Beach Lakes location where people are much friendlier in the service overall it’s just better. Also, they are extremely picky so it’s worth the drive to a different location
If I could show a negative star, that would be my review for this location. Forget having any set policies! It’s a change my store policies, anytime they want! They could care less, about any long time customers! That HAD, spent a large large amount of money there! No, they would rather keep their changes, and lose great customers! Not to mention, how they want your possible buy-in clothes to be in Nordstrom condition to even have a chance to be seen. I mean by flat, pressed, in 50 containers! Instead of 1-2 full filled, “convenient”regular sized containers, with clothes neatly folded.Again, was Not like that, when formerly sold to, just months earlier! Done here! Go to Goodwill, you’ll have a much better experience there😉

Very unfriendly. Ive been to once upon a child locations in San Diego and Austin that were a lot more welcoming. The appeal of these places is being able to sell items and buy affordable items as well. I will PASS on the Wellington location!!

I visited the Once Upon A Child in Wellington Florida. Upon checking out I produced the customer appreciation card which originally was from the West Palm Beach location that had recently closed. I was told that four of the stamps on my card were not transferable because the previous store owner had used happy face stamps and not circle stamps. I insisted that these were the stamps that were placed on the card and it was not my fault that the owner of the West Palm Beach store had placed the incorrect stamps. The owner of the Wellington store kept saying that anyone couldve put these stamps on the card. She proceeded to tell me that she knew the other owner was putting wrong stamps on the card and it was one of the reasons why her business got shut down. Honestly it made no sense, one minute its no one knows who couldve put the stamps and then another minute shes confirming that its the other owner putting the stamps. I honestly felt insulted, as if I would go out of my way to buy a stamp and falsely place happy face stamps on my card just for 15% off of my purchase that I wasnt even that close to anyways. I feel like this incident was not a customer appreciation incident. I earned every stamp on my card and because of someone elses doing I am being penalized. I have a new baby and this would be a place that I would shop frequently however if this is the way Im going to be treated I will most definitely take my business elsewhere. I most certainly dont have time to get treated this way over happy face stamps.

I came in looking for snow pants and a snow coat for an upcoming trip. I knew I would have a long shot finding things, you know South Florida and all, but my lucky stars were aligned and I found two beautiful almost new items. Both are OshKosh brand 2T and fit my son beautifully. I fully plan to do more shopping here.

UPDATE- The only reason I shop at this location is the help I consistently receive from Tiffany; she always takes great care of me. She is an asset to this store and I hope the owners are aware of her excellent customer service. The store has beautiful clothing, toys and basically everything you need for your baby :) I do not understand people who go anywhere else! Most everything is in new condition as well!

There is large variety of things for babies from toys to accessories. Eventually they have used item witch are in excellent conditions and great prices. Also they will buy from you baby items and pay in cash. Will recommend this place.
First time coming to this location. Staff were friendly and the gentleman tried his best to get my things I brought in get processed quickly due to the fact he saw I was coming from out of town. The wait time was a little over what I was told but it’s understandable other people were ahead of me. I would say I got a pretty decent amount of money. They didn’t accept everything I had but a few items were taken. From experience of selling clothing to the other location in west palm that has now shut down and also Plato’s they will never buy everything you bring even if it is brand new or gently used.
DO NOT WASTE YOU TIME!! CUSTOMER SERVICE IS HORRIFIC. I was underpaid and will never return again. Women reading this here’s some advice, I purchase clothing items from high- end children boutiques such as Janie and Jack. Log in your purchases on a notepad take pictures of it send it to your email and if you have up to $500 worth of clothing you will be able to use as a tax write off if you donate items to Goodwill as long as you have proof of purchase. This can be a collection of any clothes for example Target, Walmart etc. Take pictures bring it to your tax person When you do your taxes and you can get up to $500 for clothing added to your refund. This is a much better route than bringing your stuff to consignment shops where they will be robbing you like I just got robbed and disrespected by Wellington staff. I literally learned this information today from my tax consultant. I will never return to that location.
For some reason the employees here are always so rude and unfriendly from the moment you walk into the store! They frown upon you as soon as you set your items down on the counter! News flash you’re a consignment store not a high end boutique. This branch of stores is just awful! Doesn’t matter what location you go to. I took so many clothes there in a really really good condition it was a plastic box so big that I needed help to carry it into the store . They said I had to leave it there and that they’ll go over it they will call me with the answer wen they call me my husband went to pick up what was left and they told him they only took 20 pieces of clothing and they didn’t want the rest went my husband got home I could not believe what I was seeing he came back with a smaller box with no more than 20 pieces in it . So if they didn’t want the rest what do they do with it I feel like they stole from me o and they even send me back clothes that I had never seen before they were not even my . It was my first time and the last one I will never recommend some one there
The employees were not friendly and inviting. They all seemed to have a chip on their shoulder. No one greeted us when we walked in or asked if we needed help. Listen, if you dont want to work in a second hand store, then dont, but if youre going to be there than have the decency to be nice.The pricing on the items I needed were fair for second hand. They were in fact gently used as they claim there items are.

Staff is all kids, very rude and extremely judgmental. They price and take things on how YOU look not the shape and quality of your stuff. Do not sell at this one! Go in town and sell you will get more for your stuff not low balled, the people are nicer. I took a toy my daughter never played with in the box still never opened worth $40 they tried to give me $5. I took it in town and they gave me $25. Just saying if you want what your stuff is worth do not go to Wellington!
Walked in this past saturday evening. 4 people working and not one acknowledged me and my husband. They just all stood around talking about schedules and didnt even look our direction. Im not expecting a red carpet experience but a simple hi or welcome would have at least made it feel like we werent bothering them. Wont be returning ever again.

Be sure you call before you load your stuff up in your car to try to sell or you will turned away when you get there. They post quite frequently on Facebook so it would be nice to let your potential customers know youve reached your buyback limit for the day via Facebook. Never going back here again.Update number 2. I received a gift for my son for Christmas of an item we already have. I took it to the store in the packaging it came in with the price tag and all unopened. Was told they could not do an exchange but I could sell it back to them. No that is not acceptable the item has not been opened. They said I needed a receipt for which I did not have because it was not bough by me. I was prepared to spend more than the amount the exchange would have been but instead they lost the sale and I will not be back. This place is convenient to my house but I will find another consignment store to get my business. Horrible service.
Every time i come here it’s something! Bad customer service, they are all rude and unprofessional no exceptions . They had a sign on the door that they’re only accepting one pin from each customer, i walk in with one and they say oh we’re not accepting clothes at the moment due to the hurricane! Couldn’t you just change the freaking sign on the door? Last halloween I bought a custom for my son, i saw marks on it and tags were still attrached, went back there to return it, they said no because probably my son wore it!!! After almost getting into it with whoever calls herself the manager she agreed on exchanging only! Not to mention the ridiculous prices they offer for clothes! Gave this place so many chances but never again.
This location sucks! I bought a pair of shoes from there for my daughter, told the lady at check out my daughter probably wouldn’t like them, but I would try. She told me if I wanted to bring them back I needed the tag on and the receipt. When she rang me up she forgot to ring stuff up (her mistake!) so I ended up with like 3 different receipts to keep up with ugh! Daughter didn’t end up liking them and I forgot that the employee didn’t do her job & give me 1 receipt, so when I took them back with tags on I ended up grabbing the one that didn’t have the shoes on it! Ya know because I’m a mom who has a million other things to keep up with! Keep in mind I returned the very next day, had the same employee, but they would not return the shoes & instead offered me a $1 for them! And I quote “it’s our policy we can’t except a return with the right receipt.” Okay well is it also store policy that your employees do their job right, and give ONE receipt to the customers! Ridiculous! The staff is rude & crabby ALL THE TIME! There is no fitting room!!!! And they never ever want to take your nice clothes but for some reason I see I see dirty faded clothes on their racks, ew! Beware of this place, rip off!
Treated like worst customer of the day even though the doors just opened for the day. Had a wonderful experience at a different location in NY only to get rejected at this store. Website needs to be more detailed about how items need to be brought in. Several people were also dissatisfied and told the same thing while we were there.

Until today I have liked this store but today I was looking through clothes and noticed shorts with snags in them way over worn... The clothes I took in to sell they lady didnt accept perfectly good clothes my son never wore... She said they were worn out.. Hmmm made me feel pretty crappy. And I once asked a lady how much something was on a top shelf I wanted to buy she said she didnt know and left it at that.
We generally love Once Upon a Child. This location doesnt offer a dressing room, which is VERY inconvenient for customers. The staff was rude about it as well. They said we could come back with a swimsuit to try on. No thanks .
I saw an item with the original price tag still attached and it was 4.99 while they they priced it for 5.50 ! Not to mention the ridiculous amount they offer for buying your stuff, and most of the things they sell either stained or have holes or marks and I understand they’re a second hand but they pass on for most of the stuff because of that reason and then you find them selling ones that are stained already!
Rude staff. Store is neat and clean but they need customer service training. We came in to sell a small bag of neatly folded baby clothes in excellent condition (some never worn). There was one older lady who was very sweet and wanted to help. She asked if it was our first time selling to them and I answered yes. She explained that all items had to be placed flat in a box or plastic container. It looked like she was going to give us a pass being that it was our first time, but a young rude lady shook her head no, the older lady kinda questioned her but the younger lady kept gesturing no right in our faces. The older lady then turned to us and said she can’t help us today to come back with everything laid flat inside a box, and they will get back to us in 3 or 4 days.I understand they have rules but the no gesture and nasty facial expression right in our faces was unnecessary. Not coming back.
After watching a movie the girls and I were so excited to go in the store and shop. They had their souvenir cups which were empty. Upon opening the door before even walking through the entry of the door my greeting was not WELCOME it was “There is no outside food or drink allowed in the store”~ok fine, I knew they were empty, I understand rules and kids with drinks I get it, totally~I informed her they are empty. The next statement out of her mouth was “So there is NOTHING in them” I then repeated they are empty” I proceeded in the store and asked her would you like me to keep them up front while we shop and can you believe without even turning around to speak to me she answered no if they are empty it’s fine. I was blown away by this experience. I guess all the chatter about the employees there is true. So sad! Needless to say I will NEVER go back.
Its a good place to buy, but not a good place to sell... there was no customer service, no courteousness, and was not offered enough money for the things that were brought... oh! and there is no bargaining, its the price they set and thats it.
First, I’d like to say I love this consignment shop, they have a wide variety of kids clothes and toys in great condition. The only flaw is their staff. Most of their staff are very rude. One in particular I dread going to the store if she is working. When I was checking out I heard this one particular employee talking badly about a family shopping in the store. If you ask a question, she rolls her eyes and gives you an smart aleck answer. I figured she was having a bad day and that’s why she was acting out but I have been to the store 4 times now and she always has the same b**** attitude. So just prepare yourself when you go shop there.
Horrible customer service while trying to sell. First time coming here I didnt know what to do, nobody didnt wanted to attend me even while I was standing in front of three stooges. None of them asked me if I needed help, they just stood there as if I was invisible. Plus, I had my baby in one hand and the stuffs that I wanted to sell in the other, as if I couldnt be more visible. Bad vibes in that store, never coming back here again. I suggest donating the items.
The store is so clean with a huge variety of items but the manager Tiana was chewing out the workers so bad in the middle of him checking me out that I was uncomfortable. She even went into bashing what I assume to be another associate “Sandy” to the worker while me and other customers just stood there until she was done. It was a beautiful environment with unpleasant management.
No dressing room(s)! They dont offer a dressing room for children to try on clothes. When I inquired they gave me their return policy, telling me to buy the 10 or so dresses in my hand, take them home, try them on, then return what didnt fit. Really? What mom has the time to do that?!? (Other area kids consignment shops DO have dressing rooms by the way)
Always loved the thought of a resell store, until I brought in over 60 items, most brand new never worn and a few still tags on them still ! So they liked 40 items and offered me 20 dollars ? Really .. I get its a store where they have to make money to but .50 cents for things that have never even been worn 😡😡
I had the same problem with another writer where they told me my stamps from the west palm store were fake. And that I couldn’t used them at that store. Totally bashed the owner of that other store with no remorse. Needless to say all my points went down the drain. But back is the worse. They definitely need a competition.
Website, google and Facebook implies they are open and gives hours and reviews. Went there and they apparently are only open to buy and not sell, even though they have plenty of people there and plenty of things on the floor set out and priced to sell. Very disappointing after a 45 min drive each way. Save your time and go elsewhere, she said they wont open for a few weeks.
I wasnt pleased at all with the outcome before I consider selling anything to this company I will donate to goodwill or just throw things in the trash Im so glad that I wasnt in need of money because the $7.20 that was given to me was ridiculous and unacceptable because I brought in well over $200.00 worth of clothing 4 bins full everything was in impeccable shape and for me to receive the amount given was a slap in the face never again and I wouldnt recommend this business to anyone
The worst experience. Went with my husband planning to sell some stuff and buy something nice. I start looking for some toys while he was doing the selling. My husband has a strong latin accent so the ladys where so rude with him speaking like he wasnt capable to understend and ordering insted of helping him. After he made everything the lady order, she said that we had to go back because they couldnt check our stuff, 2 days later my hubby got a text telling him that finaly it was ready and we had 24 hours to pick up the money and the clothes they didnt want, or they just assume it was a donation. Finaly we went and pick up like 10 dollars for good stuff including nice outfit from levis and overall from gap. Not recommended and definitly not going back. So sad because the idea is great and south florida is missing a place like that but they should hire nicer people. I dont think that they should buy everything but they could say no and still be nice.
Worst costumer service ever. DO NOT support this business in anyway. Will never ever return. Does not accept their own company coupons. Changes their polices on a day to day basis. Complete scam.
