My wife and I absolutely love the selection and service provided by High Country. The quality of product and selection are superior to any other furniture store weve visited. Mattie is absolutely a gem, having spent much time evaluating our home and helping to pick the right pieces. The delivery staff are timely, friendly and extremely professional. We cant recommend this store highly enough.

Horrible experience with his company/owner. Purchased a mattress, box spring and bed frame from this company in 2019 for a second home. We noticed that the mattress was sagging on one side. We contacted the company on several occasions to see if they could come out to take a look at it. After several attempts someone finally came out today and told us that the bed frame was not installed correctly which caused the mattress /box spring to break down. He also informed us that we would receive a new mattress/box spring at the expense of High Country. He further stated that other customers experienced the same issue with beds not being installed properly. Several hours later the owner, Doug, contact us and said that High Country would not cover anything and expected us to repurchase. Buyer beware they do not back their product or workmanship.

Found the bedroom I want to get! Just got to figure out how to pay for it. The furniture is beautiful and well made. Ill figure it out eventually. Stop in if you get to Maggie Valley. Youll love it.

Great but we had decided on the living room suite at the waynesville store so I called Annette and told her we were on our way back to the waynesville store but she said she was locking the door but I told her of our decision so I gave her my phone number and she said she would mark it sold but when my wife arrived at the.store she had sold it out from under us I was born and raised her and have always been taught your word was your bond but not with these people they are lIARS

We furnished our new home with many pieces from High Country. Their prices are high, but the quality and customer service definitely reflect that. Everyone is very friendly and helpful, they have a lot on site so the turnaround time is usually very quick. We had set up a delivery/install and everything went perfectly. They arrived exactly when they said they would (unlike many other companies and services in the mountains). Would not hesitate to use them again! THANK YOU.

Sandra was extremely helpful directing us to the best quality and style that we were looking for. Her experience and knowledge got us to Old Tannery Tannery which delivered on all expectations a with exceptional quality. The experience with High Country from the moment we walked in the door, all the way though to the delivery team was outstanding.

Items of furniture that you wouldnt see else where. Quite unique. Of course they have pieces you would see in other shops. The quality is excellent. Staff helpful. Upoer end as far as price goes, but you pay for what you get; a polished piece of furniture.

Have been looking for leather chairs for several years and High Country has a large selection. Their staff was helpful and Doug went above and beyond to show us all their options, check manufacturer inventory and in the end even pull chairs out of the warehouse that they had just received but not yet unpackaged. It was a great experience and Doug was great to work with giving us lots of options without being sales-y. Will definitely visit here again!!

This is a very nice stop over for me on the way to Asheville and I would encourage anyone from the area and from the Atlanta area to stop in and browse. I bought a cabin in Maggie Valley (mid-July, 2019), and High Country was conveniently located down the road on Hwy 19. I had been there a few times before purchasing and the quality of the furniture and selection they had in inventory convinced me to make a purchase there. While I did end up getting much of my house items there eventually, the ordering and customer service were very disappointing.Sandra did work with me on waiting to order the furniture until after my cabin closing, that is one positive out of my experience.Most of my problems and angst revolved around a sleeper sofa that I ordered. Sleeper sofas, I found out later, can only be made from specific fabrics. I had done all of the selecting for the cover fabric and pillows early in July, only to find out that my original material selected was the wrong type. I was never told there was limitations to what I ordered until we found out I made the wrong selection and that the material wasnt in stock. We only found this out after I pushed Sandra to contact them on the status, this was after a few emails and then going to the store itself twice (4 weeks after I asked them to order the sofa Jul 29). All of this was found out by just a phone call to the manufacturer. A 15 minute phone call to verify the order and training on sleeper sofa material to the sales person would have mitigated this issue. Can all be verified via email/google maps for visits and requests to High Country. Recommend more training to employees for fabric orders or confirming the purchase so the customer is getting what they are expecting. The disconcerting part was being made feeling guilty about this, by you only ordered two weeks ago (as opposed to 4 actually) and we have to make sure purchasing validates you as a customer to the length of time it was taking even though they charged my card in early July. Follow-ups or initiating talking to me as a customer was non-existent.Lastly, my chair table was delivered with other piece for the living room and it was wobbly, which wasnt caught by the store or deliverers. Just picking it up and setting it down it wobbled horribly. They need to improve quality control before furniture gets back to the customer. They did allow me to replace it with another piece.Their furniture is great though, once you get it. They need better training on selective ordered furniture and customer service. Took a long time to decide to put this up. I cannot recommend High Country, unfortunately.

High Country Furniture has been our favorite place to shop since buying our Waynesville home 2 years ago. All the staff are wonderful; we feel so welcome every time we go in. Weve worked with Angela since day one and she has been a godsend! We needed everything from living to dining to bedrooms and she guided us the whole way. In fact, recently we ordered a new sofa section that came with throw pillows that we didnt think we needed. What a great surprise when it was delivered and we found Angela had selected for us a pair of fantastic pillows that enhance the entire room! It was the perfect choice and showed once again how attuned Angela is to her clients. My highest recommendation!

We keep going back to this shop. The style is rustic/transitional and they perfectly hit the hard-to-find middle ground on quality and price. Stores are beautiful and full of great ideas. And we really appreciated them taking the time to make an appointment for us during the worst of the COVID-19, in their Waynesville store, then meeting us in their Hendersonville store as well.

A year ago Angela Coffin’s design expertise helped us furnish our newly remodeled cabin here in Waynesville. It was a fun experience from the moment we met her all the way through furniture delivery and arrangement. Now we find ourselves in the middle of a second construction project and when its complete we’ll be heading back to Angela and High Country. Wonderful people who stand behind their work!

We have furnished several rooms in our vacation home in Waynesville with High Country furniture and accessories. The customer service is excellent, the quality is top level, and the value for dollar is superb. Their delivery staff is careful, and pays attention to detail. The latest delivery of 2 leather couches is typical of their work. They placed the couches exactly where we wanted them, used the floor protectors, and even cleaned them with leather cleaner.

Very nice showroom and very helpful employees. Was able to get some great furniture. Really enjoyed the experience and am loving the new furniture.

After living here in Waynesville for almost two years we decided to visit High Country Furniture. My first impression was WOW! What a beautiful store with very high end furnishings that would fit in a beautiful mountain home! I was very impressed! If you want top quality, gorgeous and luxury rustic looking looking furniture, you really need to visit High Country Furniture Store!

(Great furniture and very helpful employees.) I posted the peceeding sentence ten weeks ago when we ordered our furniture from High Country. The problem is, we have yet to hear we can pick it up. Apparently, one of the chairs we bought was a special order which is why it is taking to long. We understand complications due to special orders. Our biggest problem with this is that, after being told initially that everything would be available for pickup in two days, there was no communication about the problem until we, after waiting for over over a month, made several phone calls about the cause of the the hold up. In the last communication we received, when we again forced the issue, we were told sixteen more days - that was eighteen days ago and not even a phone call regarding any progress on a chair for which we have already paid. We still love the furniture these folks offer, and the sales reps are knowledgeable as well as kind, but dont look for good communication on orders. For that reason I have dropped my original five star rating to four.

We searched furniture stores all over Hendersonville, Asheville and Black Mountain to furnish new home. The best service and quality we received was by far from High Country Furniture. Traci and Debbie went above and beyond to assist and find us what we want. It isnt just what they have in the store, they also have a warehouse in Maggie Valley and a store and the quality of their furniture beats all the other stores as we checked reviews on brands. We got the highest rated quality leather couch and love seat at better prices then any of the other stores that carried lesser quality. Their delivery people are excellent and call ahead the day before to let you know when they are coming and they show up on time and are very courteous and knowledgeable. Their overall service is the best we experienced at any other store and their furniture is beautiful.
