The gentleman sales clerk was courteous & efficient. He quickly located my requested Classic Swiss Army Knife. Which was over priced. I also purchased a baseball cap which was reasonably priced. I thought I had a Big 5 membership. I asked the lady clerk to check this and she refused & had me write my email address on a form on the counter. She would not listen to except for taking my money.

Love the place, but they didnt have the selection of mens clothing and summer footwear I expected.

The clerk who helped us back in the shoe area was super friendly and helped us both find our shoes. He bought three pairs, two for my husband and one for me. We were both so happy we completely forgot about the other item we went there to check on. So, were going back tomorrow!

Its a smaller Big 5. Was out of ALL weights due to COVID. - cant really blame them though. Their shoe section looked like the service was really good. Worth a look to see if they have what you want.

This Big 5 is Really nice and clean and the employees are Very helpful. I stayed 1 hour in the store bcuz they have a very large selection of products.

The stock seems a bit outdated and overpriced. Employees were too busy talking and gossiping with each other to notice customers needing help.

All the Big Fives are a super pace for most all your outdoor needs and sport shoes as well. The service is always great too.

This store is great but I felt unwelcomed by the manager. He seems to always be on a bad mood and makes it uncomfortable to browse. Makes me think that he suspects that I might try to steal something. The rest of the staff are great.

Shoe selection wasnt as good as it used to be. The employee complaining to the manager about how tired she was and blah blah blah was pretty annoying when there was a long line of customers.

Pros:They have a fair selection of sporting goods. Some of their gear is made out of good quality material. My children enjoy coming here just to take a look at the gear and to try it out. I f you have large feet than you may be able to find your shoe size at this store.Cons:It could take awhile to get customer service to open the fitting room or the restroom since the restroom is located in the back. Space to walk is limited.

Store is getting a bit overcrowded with their inventory which makes it hard to actually shop. Corporate needs to send their DM down to take a look and see. Then there are parts of the store that actually NEEDS more inventory, which is usually the Seasonal items.The staff is the best thing about this place as they are mostly welcoming (as required per company policy) but they do follow up and do their best to be helpful. I also Frequent the Salinas Store which is also very overstocked as well hopefully they figure it out, people like their store but its frustrating when you cant find anything mostly because its so overstocked. Sometimes, Less is More.

I was greeted right away and directed to the exact product that I was after. In this case it was a camping cot, but its service that counts in my opinion.As expected for the type of location, theres not a lot of opportunity to really shine with customers, but I think the staff did a good job.

Just picked up some womens size 10 wide running shoes;It can be difficult for me to find closed shoes that well, but thanks to some awesome employees at big 5 in Watsonville I found some super comfy cute new under armor running shoes 😀 thank you sir for continuously disconnecting them from eachother and taking the secerity alarm off so I was able to test them by running around the store 😁🖒

My boyfriend got a trail camera for my Christmas present from this store, and there was a part missing. I took it in to return it, and get a new one. They never once made me feel like it was something I had lost, or made me feel bad. I appreciate good customer service, and this store is exceptional!

Needed some flashlights, prepering for black out, most were gone. The guy was helpful and I did get a couple just in case.

Horrible customer service. Manager Lupita was very rude and dishonest . I went to use the restroom and it was locked. Employee informed me to ask managerm for key. Upon approaching manager she said it was blocked by a delivery which was a lie because I was just there.as a paying customer of 100 plus dollars I expect to be able to use them restroom and not deal with prejudice. Do not recommend at all

Went to exchange a pair of running shoes. Got a friendly hello from the staff and had a good experience in changing my shoes. Overall I would give the experience and the customer service a 10. They were very helpful and kind.

Nothing bad expect you guys need to stock up on those red 2 gulp saltwater sand/blood worms. Get some nice Shimano rods in there as well.Oh and over heard a manager complain about a customer being in the store for over an hour...this 6 minutes before closing... Soo whats the issue? maybe theyre super indecisive... and they still got 6 min before closing time Soo chill it.

Bad customer service.... An item was on sale in the ad and the girl at the register tried giving me attitude after i made her correct the amount she was charging me. I had 2 identical items and only one had the marked down price tag so first she charged me regular price and then she was still charging me one item without the sale tag at regular price, so i demanded her to get it right.! She called the manager over thinking she was right but instead looked stupid and had to fix the price. Never said sorry, or any kind of thanks just rolled her eyes and i laughed as i walked out.

A little overpriced for certain items, but it is definitely my go to locally. If you need sporting goods this place is the best option unless you want to drive out to Santa Cruz or Salinas.
