I was exhausted after a brutal work week and it was 9:45pm and I needed something sweet. I went in and shopped and got into Peter W.’s station to check out. Right from the beginning he was alert, courteous and helpful. I yawned said I was sorry but I was beat. He said it was no problem and offered to bag for me. We exchanged some pleasantries and he made me laugh and looked me straight in the eyes while speaking to me. He told me to go home and enjoy the evening and my sweets and get some rest, then complimented me on my handbag of all things! In the middle of this global crisis we have a shortage of patience that has overtaken everyone. Common respect and decency have become almost extinct. This man provided a great service to me by simply being respectful, cheerful and showing concern for my well being. Watervliet Price Chopper needs to keep this gentleman. People like him are difficult to come by. I’ll always give PC my business.

Found everything I needed. Store was clean. AC felt amazing it was very hot outside. Shelves are slowly starting to look like pre covid everything stocked not many items missing.

Watervliet, NY Price Chopper is a smaller store. I prefer it when I need to get in and out quickly. Another PLUS is, you are never rushed or hurried! I like it!

Smaller store but packed tight with food and products. Lots of empty shelves from sale items so normally have to make more than one trip to a store. Spacing in ailes and checkouts is horrible as well as the amount of employees and registers open. This is a very busy location and not staffed appropriately. Also tore the church down for this site. Sad.

Please check your cheese section near the deli. I bought grated Parmesan cheese and it was moldy. In bought 2 speciality cheeses they were full of mold when I took wrapper off.Chopped veggie salad in deli was rancid. I bought it and tried to eat it the same day it was badDon’t buy fresh seafood. They must not sell much of it and is old.General Manager needs better quality control or maybe stop selling items you can’t sell to your clientele at this location.

Never enough employees on hand. Finding things on the shelves past expiration date is a regular occurrence.

I like the watervliet PC because it is just the right size. I dont like the bigger stores. Too much unnecessary walking around passing items I dont need. It is reason I often shop Fresh Market. Quick in and our.

What can you say Price chopper is Price chopper. I find that most of the staff are very friendly and polite and that you can find the products you need at a reasonable price.

The store is always dirty. No hand sanitizer or hand wipes anywhere. They dont sanitize the shopping carts when they bring them in from the parking lot. Always check the expiration date on everything. I found 6 packages of Oscar Mayer lunch meat that were expired tonight. I only use this Price Chopper when I have to run in for a last minute thing or two.

When they have a sales it usually a good deal. Otherwise it can be pricey.

Theyre always open on ever you need them I love their food

I went to market 32 in watervliet on Christmas eve. They closed at 6pm. I got there at 5:40pm to run in for 1 product quickly to finish my baking. When walking through the door I was told I could not enter because they were closed. I said you close st 6pm. They said youll never make it through the line by 6pm. I said thats not what closing at 6pm means. It means doors do not accept any more customers past 6pm. I had 20 minutes left. I worked in the restaurant business for years. I know what its like to work a holiday and not be with family and thats the line of business I was in. To my shock 2 workers were turning customers away when they still had 20 minutes left is rediculous. To do that to people when everyone was in lockdown this year. What happened to price chopper and the care for customers. The Golubs would be besides them self that their business is running this way. So I drove to shop rite and gave them my business.

A well-run PriceChopper overall. The cashiers at self-checkout always act like they do not want to help the customers however. They also charge for bags now. At this point, I only come for the deals when I have my own bags.

I like it. It may not be the chains biggest store but they have most of what I usually shop for. Best of all (besides being close to my home) is they usually have someone to bag the groceries. Remember when all grocery stores did that? I like that so much better than the self service lanes.

A lot better than there other price chopper. I go there every now and then. Its a fair star rating price chopper to go to. They have a sit down and there own bathroom. They have self checkouts even though lines seems to be very long often. I would recommend coming here.

Only go if I have to. Bought a cake which you have to order because it was best cream. When I got home and opened it up the cake could be seen through the top. I paid 23 dollars so I brought it back and was asked did you even open it I said yes and she said to me No you didnt. I was like wow give me my money back and now just go there if I have to. Regardless I thought their motto was satisfaction guaranteed. But she was snotty and called me a liar. Now I shop at Hannaford dont have to wait 24 hours and their best cream cakes are Great. Lot of frosting .I buy myself one every other week and love them.

A little smaller than some grocery stores, but they still have a good selection. Theyre very conveniently located for me and clearly lots of other people since they get super busy after 5pm when people stop on their way home from work. But the lines seem to move pretty quickly, usually.

Never a good experience at this location. Always to few cashiers no matter the time of day. The parking lot always seems crowded but maybe thats just the drivers driving like theres nobody else in the lot. The parking was the same in the old location. Selection of foods seems a bit short compared to other locations. I only go there when theres no other option.There are some good things for this location. It is usually clean in appearance and well stocked. Most of the employees are friendly and helpful.

I used the florist department at this Price Chopper for my wedding, and Jenn made miracles happen. I could not believe how beautiful my bouquets and center pieces were coming from Price Chopper. Jenn was so professional, supportive, and intelligent. It was such a great decision to pick Jenn as my wedding florist.

I dont have an issue with price chopper any time of the day except the mornings! There is NO staff....one slow cashier most mornings and thats it! Get more staff in the morning or at least open up the self checkout...damn. Some of us have jobs to go to that arent right next to where we live.

They do not have sushi. So we bought a Price Chopper brand salad. It did not come with dressing. Pretty mediocre experience at the deli tonight.

Meh. They dont carry those awesome uncooked corn tortillas anymore (santa Fe or something? Near cheese cooler). They dont have the kind of bread, peanut butter nor yogurt that I like. Limited selection of local food companies. Location works for me, thats about it.

Add most grocery stores a lot of garbage food. Takes a lot to find the good foods. Although the gluten free isle has a decent offering. More expensive than Walmart

I was just there using the ring yourself out aisle. I was trying to buy cold medicine for my SEVERVE night time cold symptoms. The individual who was overseeing the checkout station would not sell it to me as I did not have ID. I AM 44 YEARS OLD. (Grey hairs and all) it is not a close call as to whether I am over 18. She clearly just wanted to ruin someones day.

I buy birthday cakes here alot and I really love them my son just had his party Saturday even the Staff at Dave and Busters agree it was a really good cake. Thank you keep up the good work.

Like most Price Choppers, this is quite a mediocre super market. The produce selection isnt very wide, and the prepared food simply isnt good. They do occasionally have good deals on meat and this location sometimes has some decent cuts available.

I never write reviews but i feel like the customer service i just recieved was a great example of employees going above and beyond. Just went to get some boxes for a school project and moving. The girl at the customer service desk was such a sweetheart and even though she seemed to be super busy, she made sure everyone was taken care of in a timely manner. Then a few very nice guys helped bring 15 boxes out to my car (on a super windy day) and even loaded my whole car full. Whatever training you guys are using for customer service, its working.

While they dont necessarily always have what I need, its always a quick trip in and out. The lines are never too bad and the service is as expected from a grocery store.

I will never shop at this price chopper again

I like their fuel perks program and their bottle recycle service is convenient. They stay busy and they have really good sales weekly.

The store itself is clean, neat and organized. The Staff are friendly and helpful. The only downside is some of the customers here, each time I have been here, there have been rude and obnoxious customers that take out their bad days on other customers, or worse, the employees around them that are just doing their jobs (this is not a reflection on Price Chopper or the employees, just an FYI to potential customers).

Its nice to get 50cents off / gallon of gas just by shopping.

The produce department is a big improvement over the older store. (I had stopped going there, many years ago, because of that.) However, if something is on sale, the only prices posted are the ones you get if youre on their rewards program. I am, but it was quite a shock to see that Id saved over $7.50 by using my card when buying three items: cherries, a small watermelon, and a bunch of radishes.

A person can find several odd items you cant find at most other stores. If you shop the sales the prices are good. And you get cash back on your gas at sunoco.

Bought a smoothie that was two weeks expired on accident off one of the shelves in the produce section. When I returned to the store two days later there were newly expired smoothies that had not been removed properly even after I called to alert staff to my situation earlier this week.

The reason Im giving this place a 1 star is that I had bad experience with their milk (PC brand & garlic farm I believe ). Once I got a gallon of milk and without the expiration date it had spoiled and without opening.. another time the expired milk was still on the shelf without the safety seal....

Long, long lines and for some reason everyone thinks its a great idea to use self-checkout for massive quantities of items... though that issue is likely exacerbated by the comparative lack of manned registers.Other than that, its a small grocery store. They dont have a huge selection, but they have all the staples and produce tends to be acceptable.

This price chopper is awful as most of them are these days. They never have the products offered on the coupons. The do not have new products advertised. Staff are mean and nasty people that act like they are bothered by doing their jobs. I recommend Hannaford.

I have been a close resident to Watervliet for years now. This location might be smaller than expected, but in all honesty you have to appreciate most of the employees at this location. When I go to the Bistro Market or Market 32, I know no one. They are all nice, but it is not the same as the Watervliet location. Joseph V. who works at check out saved me money. He had coupons tucked away and said oh wait it you use this one can can get a free bunch of bananas. He also had some that lowered my price. I didnt even have to ask him he just offered and insisted. I was shocked on how professional, happy, and polite he was. Honestly this guy needs a raise or a better position making more money. Any employee who has an upbeat happy personality & actually asks customers about their day is considered an asset to any company. It is because of employees like Joseph V. I make Watervliet my favorite Price Chopper location out of all of them. Great Job Joseph V.

Clean new store but they are often out of the strangest things. Today there was no pc brand plain Greek yogurt. I also still have problem s finding things.

Been standing in line for over 15 mins. Refused to open up self checkout. Its friday night. Store had at least 20 to 30 ppl and only have one lane open. Disgraceful! Feel bad for the guy workin the aisle. Getting yelled at and questioned for why the self checkouts are closed
