My bff in San Francisco wanted to cheer me up during lock down and asked the lovely ladies at Dio to pick me out some perfect spring sipping wine. OMG, did they deliver (literally). Im starting to think Ive never actually tasted good wine before in my life. ALSO! They picked out a wine from a vineyard thats the same as my last name! I dont know if that was a crazy coincidence, or they went the extra mile. Either way, it made my week :) Cant wait to come by when DC reopens!

Im not much of a wine drinker, but I still had a pleasant experience here. My friend, on the other hand, is a self-proclaimed sommelier and she was head over heels. Cozy bar space with a modest interior. The owner served us and she was kind, helpful, and patient. I very much appreciate the nonjudgmental and genuine atmosphere here.

Great place for a low key night, perfect for unwinding with delicious wine. The staff are all knowledgeable about their wine and willing to help pick the perfect glass or bottle. Did not see much food flowing around but I did not see a kitchen also. The space is a little small but cozy.

Good selection of wines. Im suprised at their choice of wine glasses though. Its hard to pick up any aromatics from the wine they sell due to the shape of the glass.

Great wines and Latina owned. Love that staff want to teach you about wines without being stuffy about it. Have been on several occasions and each time gets better.

Adorable place with a homey vibe 🙂They have great happy hour options and highly recommend just going for their Table Red — it was $8 a glass but quality wise would’ve been $13 in my book.

So friendly and unpretentious. Such a great way to try new wines without the stuffiness of most other wine bars. Whole feel was sort of rustic, including the food. Really loved the mushroom toast!

The staff is incredibly knowledgeable, attentive and caring. Had a great time here for my birthday.

Love coming here when Im in town from NYC. They change the menu and keep it fresh enough that theres always something new and unique to try, without losing my favorites. Can tell they put in the work to find unique distributors and importers, many from outside DC

A must-go when it comes to wine bars in DC. FABULOUS service and wines. Try their food as well, especially the cheeses. Cannot recommend this place enough!

H Street gem. Helpful staff, great wine selection, low key and not pretentious. Get the salmon toast or the deviled eggs...just order anything from the menu.

Loved! Great product, cool atmosphere, and really nice folks behind the bar. I had a Gruner Veltliner that was out of this world. My date had an awesome whiskey cocktail. We both had things we had never tried before and instantly found new favorites. I like a place that challenges you to get out of your comfort zone (wine wise) and thats exactly what we got. 10 out of 10 will try again!

Loved everything about my visit to the Dio Wine Bar. The food was delicious, the drinks were exquisite and the people were lovely.Will definitely return soon.

Although it started as a slight glimpse, DIO sama proved to be very cunning. I now work for him, and under his rule, I have never been happier. If DIO sama whispers Lets be friends It will be an ETERNITY of prosperity.
