Got my backpack from Quavaro just before heading out on a monthlong journey to Serbia, Kosovo, Tanzania, Zanzibar, Burundi, Rwanda, and the Democratic Republic of the Congo. It was able to hold everything I needed for the entire journey and came back in PERFECT condition. I can not say enough about the quality of this bag. It will likely become an heirloom for my family as we see how many countries it can journey to!

Beautiful leather goods. I bought a canvas and leather backpack from them and two months in I still love it. It’s very sleek and professional looking while holding my computer, books and water bottle. The service is great in the store and you can tell they’re very passionate about their work. Craftsmen are also treated and paid fairly!

The owners are really nice and there bags are great. Awesome to support a local business that I suspect will become a much larger brand at some point in the near future.

It is very hard to find real craftman made items of this quality. Everything is unique and the materials are of the best quality! Its worth a trip just to fill your senses with such an incredible smell(plus the owners are super nice people).

Walked into the store to look around and was greeted by Cesar. I ended up speaking with him for over an hour I love meeting people that are passionate and knowledgeable about their craft. I learned a lot during this conversation about leather products I currently have and things to look out for when dealing with leather. I have leather products from all over the world and these were some of the most unique, well designed bags Ive seen.

Quavaro is a custom made bag shop in Eastern Market. The owners are very nice and have an interesting story. They design all their handbags, luggage, backpacks, etc. and work with artisans in Mexico to create their masterpieces. The price tags are steep, but its worth it for quality, beautiful bags!

Definitely a remarkable hand-made goods design store. Pial and her husband have a unique approach and aesthetic to the leather goods they hold in stock. They ethically source their product and materials in Mexico, lending to a positive perspective and outlet for central American made goods. As a small business Quavaro is on the right path to great success in the future, and is a must visit for any visitors and native Washingtonians. While walking near the Eastern Market, my wife suggested stopping into this small boutique that sold leather bags (Quavaro). I had been looking for a briefcase/satchel and being research obsessed, still couldnt find the right one. A soon as I saw their laptop bag, I was sold. Much better price than what I had found, leather was actually good quality, ethically made, and veteran owned. Ive had the bag for four months and so far so good. Definitely recommend!

Hands down the best leather products Ive purchased! Cesar and Piyal have crafted some of the most creative, stylish, and classic leather pieces. The integrity of each bag (*3 purchased) is seen in their durability and functionality. Its not uncommon for me to be stopped by people walking by or in the airport and asked questions about the bag and where I got it. Quavaro is the place for quality leather and great people that care. I love the variety of hot and cold foods. I arrived first open for the day. Only I have a very small grapple about is its very pricey. Close to Whole Foods per lbs.

I have been into Quavaro Leather Goods near Eastern Market a handful of times since this past winter. So far, I have purchased their DCA multi-functional briefcase (in the most beautiful burgundy leather), an Amelia tote/backpack, and a small handbag.I am an Auditor, and usually work at a clients location (which can be in DC, the DMV area, or anywhere in the US!). I am able to fit the following in my DCA briefcase: 15 Lenovo laptop, an Asus monitor, cords & adapter, planner, portable mouse & pad, glasses case, and small headphones case. I can use the briefcase with a shoulder strap or with the attached backpack straps. I use it both ways depending on what my commute looks like, and I have no complaints! Oh, did I also mention how often I get complimented on this bag?! All the time!I also use the Amelia daily with my DCA bag. I have used it as a backpack a few times, but I mostly use it as a shoulder strap tote. I am able to fit my lunch bag, water bottle, wallet, keys, cellphone, small makeup bag, and my dress shoes while still using the shoulder strap to sit comfortably on my shoulder!I have been nothing but happy with all the products I have purchased. The quality is great, the designs are beautiful and professional, and the personalities of the owners, Cesar & Pial Vega makes the trip into the store even better!

A while ago, I decided to stop spending my money on fast fashion and sh*tty home goods. When I walked in on a whim, I learned Quavaro is a family-owned small business with a great mission. Ive been looking for a carry-on bag that will last a long time and I could immediately see and feel the quality and attention to detail. I was pretty surprised to see the price point of the bags was pretty affordable given their handmade quality and great style. Pial was super attentive, friendly, and patient as I looked at all the different bags until I found the one that was just right. I know my new bag is going to last a long time and I love it!
