Overrated and expensive. The company needs to redo the flavors and stop being so over complex. The serving size is very small for more than $5 a small. Flavors sound amazing but aren’t executed well. The best part was the friendly staff and maybe the first 2 bites of the ice cream then I had myself wondering what I paid so much money for. There is a lot of potential, but needs to cut down on the glam and improve the product.

Ice cream is overpriced. Almost 8 dollars for 2 flavors. Each cup tastes different than the last time, and not in a good way. There are many ice cream shops in Adams Morgan that will provide better ice cream at a better price.

I have never been more thoroughly disappointed in an establishment. This place is overpriced and the quality is anything BUT satisfactory. If you find yourself in Adams Morgan and craving ice cream, I recommend walking the opposite direction of this store and spending your money quite literally anywhere else.

Super cool ice cream place with very good service. They whip up wild ice cream concoctions while you wait. Liquid nitrogen makes the instant ice when added to a vanilla base — then the magic happens when matcha and activated charcoal or strawberry basil etc are added in. At any one moment six big mixers might be whirling up custom orders- and the staff gladly explains the concept. A great addition to Adams Morgan. Oh and they also serve standard espresso drinks!

The BEST, CREAMIESTice cream Ive ever had. They make it front of you, using liquid nitrogen to flash freeze. They rotate fun, unique flavors like banana cream, cinnamon dulce latte, carrot cake and honey lavendar. They also have regular flavors. I very strongly recomend this amazing ice cream shop. You can even enjoy Nicecream at home. Our favorite is Nutella.

I was in last night and ordered a Lavender hot chocolate, sweet corn/coconut toasted sesame cup, and a cherry bourbon chocolate chunk cup. The cashier was actually the friendliest I have dealt with here, but when I was given the sweet corn/TCS cup, the scooper only said sweet corn, so the cashier asked and also the TCS? And I echoed that it was supposed to also have TCS in there. The scooper stares at me for a moment, doesnt say a word, and takes it back, to presumably add the TCS. A minute or two later, she put it back on the counter for me, and I left. The sweet corn was on the top so I assumed she had just added the TCS to the bottom, but I ate the whole thing and it was still only the sweet corn flavor. Very dissapointing for the cost of these scoops that this young lady could not be bothered to fix my order. On top of that, the hot chocolate tasted watered down and I could barely taste any Lavender. I think im done going to nice cream.

Every staff member Ive encountered is well trained and friendly. The ice cream is uniquely creamy and worth the price. The warm brownie under your choice of flavour in the sundae is one of my favourite things. The well conceived, regularly rotating flavours are executed flawlessly. Ive never been disappointed with a new variety though Im usually just a chocolate or vanilla person. Wait times can be really long when crowded due to the physical size of the shop and the fact that all the ice cream is made to order with liquid nitrogen.. but thats literally the only downside. The atmosphere is light and bright with a fun word wall. Also Im pretty sure they have the cleanest restroom in Adams Morgan. I cannot recommend this place enough. They have fancy coffees, pints to go, Be Nice shirts (how perfect is that?). One of the owners was working behind the counter during my last visit and they seemed very passionate and provided my friend and I with perfect customer service.

My experience is solely based on ordering through UberEats. I ordered a pint of ice cream and brownie. At $9.99 for a pint of ice cream (and $2.49 for a brownie), I expect it to be superior quality and customizable. There were limited flavors to choose from, none of which are customizable, primarily a variation of vanilla and chocolate. Brownie tasted similar to store quality, far from homemade. I suggest warming the brownie at the very least, it might add a little more authenticity. I understand I am most likely paying for local ingredients however, as a consumer, I expect more from a $10 ice cream. I will not be ordering in-person or online again. Price is incredibly high for mediocre ice cream and store-bought brownies.

Slowest service. “Manager” was 10 minutes late opening the shop and then took 30 more minutes to take the order and make the ice cream. Had headphones in the whole time and just seemed very unprofessional and incompetent. Please find better help. Ice cream was ok but the process was just such a waste of time.

Cute ice cream shop where they make the ice cream while you wait! Its small, but they made good use the space and have a decent amount of seats inside. We got the sampler with six different flavors - a good choice if you cant make up your mind. There is street parking available and you might have to make a few loops to find a spot.

The flavors as listed are interesting, but in reality are a little one-note and inconsistent. Honey lavender just tastes like lavender. Blueberry mint cobbler tasted like just mint earlier this week and like just blueberry last night. Its a super cute shop with a lot of potential, so I hope they work the kinks out.

I was so excited to try the newest ice cream joint in my neighborhood. Boy, what a letdown. It was a hot Sunday afternoon, so I expected they’d be busy, but when I walked in, it was complete chaos - at least a dozen people just standing around waiting in different lines, with no clarity on where or how to order. After I finally found the correct line and placed my order, I had to wait nearly 15 minutes for my order to be made, because they had only one poor guy working to actually make the ice cream (which they make on the spot with liquid nitrogen). When you pay more than $7 for an ice cream, you expect it to be well above average. While the ice cream did have a creamy texture, from a flavor perspective, it was some of the worst I’ve ever had. The “mint chocolate chip” had (I am not exaggerating) ONE chocolate chip in the entire scoop. The lavender flavor in the “honey lavender” was so overpowering, I couldn’t finish it.Maybe I just caught them on an off-day, but with so many great local ice cream joints in DC, I will be taking my business elsewhere.

In the age of social media, businesses rise up catering to the Instagram community. They deliver experiences that look good on Instagram, but may not live up to expectations in real life. Nicecream is NOT one of them. Its a DC area local ice cream shop that creates the perfect Instagram photo, but also delivers quality, creamy ice cream to its customers. This location is the first in the actual city of DC and in the heart of Adams Morgan. Its on Columbia Road right across the street from the Line Hotel. Its a small shop, but they designed it well with several tables for those who wish to escape the summer heat (theres good AC inside). Theres also a fun let’s spoon sign and a wall with magnetic letters to play with. They use liquid nitrogen to hand craft each scoop of ice cream. As the employees make your ice cream, clouds of ice clouds emerge from the bowl creating a fun photo (or video) for your Instagram. Not only that, but the liquid nitrogen makes it extra creamy and very good. In addition to the ice cream, they sell Swings coffee and drinks! The staff are friendly and they only use local ingredients. If you love ice cream, you MUST stop by!
