I get all my supplements from here because they have a wide selection and use vegetarian capsule that are easy on my digestive system. The staff is always so helpful when I need to find something and an employee even brought me pickled onions at the register when I forgot to get them while I was shopping. I love this location!

If youre an organics fan, youll love Yes! Organic Market. Set right next to the Eastern Market Metro, its super convenient to pick up a few organic items before headed home. If you need to park for a larger shopping spree, there should be street parking a few blocks away if you cant find any near the market. If youre stopping by just to pick up a few items, its a good spot too. They have everything from fresh produce (they even had red cabbage!), fresh bread and quick serve items like ready to drink iced tea (Shout out to Honest Tea!). Since its organic and right in Eastern Market, its all more expensive than Safeway or Harris Teeter, but the if you just need 1-2 items, the convenience may be worth it.They also have a bakery section with pastries and fresh coffee too!

This is another favorite of mine in terms of finding wholesome, organic items. Their meat, fruit, and vegetables are always fresh. They also offer freshly prepared sushi, dumplings, and various salads along with healthy drinks. The store is clean with a nice smell and the employees are helpful and nice. Everyone of my experiences has been welcoming and pleasant. If youre a fan of various nuts, their selection is sure to please you. The vitman selection is plentiful as well as the personal hygiene selection. They also carry products I havent seen anywhere else. For me, this is a great place to visit if you want to be assured of getting pure NON-GMO and organic products.

Edit: Disappointing. Ive been coming here for 11+ years and so I know who are the long time staff and manager.I hope they will improve their customer relations, stop doing petty things like charging a dollar for a cup of how water when they have only 1 tea flavour to choose from at the booth (I decided to buy my own) or that time I bought several cups of molded yogurt (I had a video of the mold...manager did nothing except open up a brand new cup of yogurt in front of me and let it go to waste). Am I really supposed to keep a receipt to return molded yogurt? Thats not right. I dont buy things with intent to return them. Especially yogurt. But the point is that they know me and dont consider that.In the meantime, Im not coming as much as I used to (which was every single day).Groceries still as delicious as always. Just a few poor shopping experiences out of many.*I go here all the time. Its a nice shop. I hope they will offer a vegetarian soup daily, not just sometimes. Also some stevia-sweetened chocolate. I love the tea section- for the hot chocolate at the coffee bar/table, it would be great an option to have warm up milk instead of just hot water.

They have a nice selection of items you wont find in many other grocery stores, and if you live near 8th St, it might be a more convenient destination in a pinch than the closest large supermarket options. Staff are friendly and helpful as well.Anyhow, I get that its organic and you should expect to pay a premium, but good god I still dont know how they justify their prices. I typically only swing by if I want something really specific or I get a craving and dont feel like driving to Harris Teeter/Safeway.

A filled supermarket that has an interesting mix of items, but has the essentials. They had a great flower selection when I had to stop in on the way to a brunch. The selection was a bit limited because of the small size, but the prices werent more than what Id expect for an organic specialty store in the heart of Barracks Row.

Great selection of many products including produce. However, recently I bought some of the fish there and it was already going rancid by that same night. The meats are probably ok there, but seafood is very sensitive and they just let it sit and sit (haphazardly, in my opinion).

Not the Yes! I visit the most but I aint mad at it. They have more Guyaki Maté flavors than the Georgia Ave store. Also slightly more of a variety of chips than Georgia Ave. They didnt have an Hope Coconut Hummus when I came in and that blew me. So much so I walked out empty handed, after I put my other things where I got them. They do sell Hope Spicy Avocado in a bigger container than Ive seen and a Hope red pepper hummus, I think it was. I dont remember because I wasnt checking for that.

This store is too expensive but I have gone a few times for basic needs. Bought a milk and I realized when I got home it had been opened and drunk, and when I called the store about it they said that I could bring the receipt and get a new one. When I got there he insisted that I needed the old carton to return it, even though he acknowledged that he had told me the receipt was enough a half hour earlier. Very unhelpful and rude, Im never coming back.

This Yes Market is definitely not the best. Good for a quick pick up only. I typically drive to the Baltimore Ave location but since I didn’t feel like enduring peak hour traffic I decided I’d pop into the Yes on 8th. I had a craving for their in-house made Pico de Gallo and regretted buying it from this location immediately. It had a green color to it for starters, which means they went overboard with the cilantro (cilantro which added no flavor meaning it wasnt fresh). Normally I get pico from the Yes in Hyattsville and it’s fresh, juicy, brightly colored red, and full of flavor. This pico was extra mushy, dry, with no liquid at all, and looked more like a pesto with speckles of tomato. It lacked flavor. There was not one jalapeño added. It was bland. It was packaged into the container like a five year old patting a pile of mud. The container they place it in is so tiny, yet they charge the same $5 as the other stores. And they didn’t simply use a bowl container like other stores, instead they used this flat plastic container that was so hard to open that it exploded everywhere (again because of how they packed it in). This also left it dry because there was no room in that tiny container for the liquid marinade at the bottom (common with pico). Also this location doesn’t have shrimp shumai, their soups are always dirty and picked over looking and they tend to not have or just be late getting brands or versions that others stores have been selling. I don’t know why they don’t just visit other stores that are performing well and see what they’re doing and replicate it. Everything in this Yes Market seems rushed and lacks love and care. It doesnt have that calm, tranquil, energy when you enter and it doesnt have the organic, sage, herbs, and oils fragrance you typically smell when you walk into a Yes Market. It’s a pity because many D.C. area stores are being robbed of a great experience because they lack care and consistency in their businesses. It’s okay for running in to buy a tried and true brand food. But I wouldn’t do my full fledged shopping at this location.

The selection and price of organic/cage-free eggs here is ALWAYS better here than Safeways or Harris Teeter on 14th St. Those two always seem to be out of the eggs I want (and the shelves often a mess). About half the time, theres a loss-leader sale on eggs.Other stuff in the store, however, is 2-3 times more expensive. Good to grab quick produce.

This store is way to pricey and they are racist. Always I clearing told the cashier no bag and she sneakily tact the bag fee on to my purchase. She thought she could try and get over on me and think I wouldnt notice. Dont go here this place is to expensive and untrustworthy.

I used to really love this place as its produce is unbeatable, but their customer service is terrible. I bought an umbrella and literally on the second day I used it, it broke and was unusable. I hadnt kept the receipt, and when I returned to the store, the manager refused to do a refund or exchange without a receipt, even though I shop there all the time and it was obviously the same as the store brand. Ill be going to Trader Joes from now on, their produce isnt quite as good but they always exchange faulty products.
