A very good lunch experience! This quaint, upscale bistro is located a few blocks away from the waterfront. When we arrived, that has or table ready and waiting. The lunch menu was pretty expansive with solid options for those who are vegetarian or have food allergies. The serving staff was responsive and the food was quickly prepared during our visit. This place has indoor and outdoor dining options, including sun umbrellas if you decide to sit outside during the day.I was very surprised, yet whats when they accommodated adding a twist to my salad order, by making me a kale Caesar salad since I have a love hate relationship with Romaine lettuce. My wife had the crab cake sandwich along with fries and she really enjoyed both! Definitely a place worth visiting in the future and I encourage you to do the same.
The only good thing about this restaurant is that the food was nice. Otherwise, if there was an option to give zero stars, I would. The bathrooms were dirty. We had to constantly send back our cutlery because they were dirty. Finally, there was a huge party of at least 20 people at the restaurant. This party had a mixture of both adults and children. It was an inconvenience to the other customers because this party was large and rather loud. The children were running around the restaurant, and the staff did nothing to control the crowd. From my experience, if you are going to have a party greater than 10 people, management should have shut down the restaurant. The restaurant is too small to accommodate a large party without inconveniencing the other guests. At one point, a few of the children were playing hand games literally right next to our table and shouting in our ears. We made eye contact with the other party that were not part of the large party, and we were all visibly annoyed. Management did not try to make us comfortable at all. In this sort of situation, the restaurant needs to either host the large party in a private room or shut down the entire restaurant for the event. They literally put a huge party in a small main dining hall. We were all miserable. Poor management.
Food was very good and the waitstaff were very attentive. They do not have a kids menu, however they did say they had chicken tenders and French fries available as an option for children. We got the lump crab cake sandwich, fish and chips, asparagus, and creme brulee all of which was delicious. Our 11 month old enjoyed it all too!
We got the $99 meal for 2 and oh my was it good. The drinks were amazing. My guy is fussy about his Old Fashions and this place made the 2nd best hes had. The duck fat fries are out of this world. You can taste the difference. The steak was sliced for us to make sharing easier. Staff was polite and wasnt always hovering.
Our waiter Ron was amazing. The spacing for outdoor seating was great. Everyone felt comfortable. The food was amazing and since we were there for a birthday celebration they brought out a mini cake and candle.I would recommend the seafood salad and the octopus started.
My wife and I are looking for new places to eat in the city and found Station 4 on a late Saturday afternoon. Initially we thought prices were a little high but decided to stay and eat. We ordered the 3-course Dry aged meal for 2, even though there were 3 of us dining. The salads were so fresh and well-dressed. We also ordered calamari and were impressed it was seasoned and fried so well. And, yes, the steak was awesome though we did have to send it for a couple more minutes of cooking to temperature. We had never had pistachio cheesecake, but did here! It was very good. All in all, it was a great first trip to Station 4 and we look forward to coming back soon!
Okay… this place was a nice lil hide away! I order the Ahi Tuna salad medium well without beets! This is what was bought out to me! More like a side salad! On top of that the salad was $25… How SWAY? How? The only reason I’m giving this place 3 starts is because it was good! But It didn’t curve my appetite! The staff was very attentive and friendly! Please give me more veggies in a bowl or something!! 😩😩😩
Great environment and plenty of variety on the menu. Has options of sitting inside and outside. The food was tasteful and quite a decent service. Its a little on the expensive side, but the quality of the food makes it worth it.
I am two other long time friends met for mid-afternoon for a meal. We all have those friends out of one will not like something about the restaurant the food etc well well this was not the case all gave this restaurant high praises and they would be back with or without me. I agree with them wholeheartedly. Like most restaurants the menus are smaller but the choices on this menu was just right for all of the entrees they offered. The food the atmosphere the service was superb. Yes check out this location and restaurant.
I went for brunch. The drinks are good. I had two watermelon and pineapple drinks and was tipsy. Beverages can add up quickly. My two drinks were almost $30. Upon getting there, a patron made a homophobic comment about me, and the bartender asked him to leave. The food was delicious. I definitely would recommend it if you want a great, low-key brunch experience that’s going to have youll feeling good.
The drinks were not good in my opinion and the food was alright. The idea of the food was good but the execution was bad.
Inside decor was beautiful and food was great however over priced. The outside area could definitely use some better decor and, possibly something to keep the flies way. I understand there will be bugs here and there when dining of outside but there we A LOT of flies!!
The food and music were good and the view of the strip was great!
We had reservations for 4:45, our food was made for us and giving to another table that was at 6:00,so now we had to wait another 30 minutes for food, we finally get our food at 6:45 and then one of our meals had hair in it our waiter seen it because soon as he put food down he took it to get food,, there was a group that came after us and the chef was personally serving them before we even got our food,, he never gave us a apologize for the wait or our food . This was my second time coming and we bought guest because food was good along with service .. No manager and the host didn’t even get the information I needed and she kept ignoring me and helping others, the place wasn’t that busy we was the only people in there until 5:45 so I don’t understand why all the issues happened…
Station 4 made my daughters birthday lunch so special! The service was top notch and the food was absolutely delicious. The carafe of cocktails was a perfect pairing with the food we ordered. Highly recommend the chicken sandwich and the crab cake sandwich. Just incredible!
Atmosphere was beautiful! Employees were professional. So whats the problem...Food!I ordered the pancakes with eggs, 2 sausage links and the option of bottomless mimosas. Price was fine, but the food...(Pancakes resembled McDonalds microwaveable pancakes and eggs resembled Ihops powdered eggs.) The way the food industry is now, I need the chef to be as creative as possible. Ill definitely give them another chance.
Went to this restaurant to host a bridal shower and the way they accommodate you for events is outstanding. They allow you to decorate.. No outstanding deposits like most places.. Larbi Khouhami was our waiter and he was great, fast, and Lots of fun. The energy and food here is good. Will be back soon!
My family and I go here every weekend! And everything is great Every Time!! I Love the food, the service, the atmosphere!! The manager-Larbi always checks on us and make sure we are taking care of. The food is above most places I go! The bar atmosphere is always inviting and pleasant. If you need a great breakfast place, brunch, lunch, or dinner spot This is place!! Check them out, you will Not be disappointed!!
Food was very good, the host were also BUT the attitudes and rudeness of the waiters and waitresses was soooooo bad! This was very off-putting for my 1st time in this beautiful establishment. I can say I wont be going back but the food was amazing....
Prices are comparable with other local restaurants. No parking. Lovely decor. Comfortable neighborhood. Warm customer service. No waiting line and meal arrived quickly and hot.
Hit or miss. Went there a couple of times. First time, we had a super cool server that took care of us, was friendly, timely, and just all around a great person. So we decided to go back since its a fun place to be at. The second time, we were ignored, service was awfully slow (really painful, to the point where after 25 minutes of nobody greeting us and giving us a menu, we had to get up and ask for our server to stop by our table). Maybe they just had a bad night.
Great food and great service in a restaurant with so much ambience. Would defintely recommend the starter macaroni with the cornbread. The cornbread is surprisingly moist. The French onion soup is delicious and the roasted half chicken was extremely seasoned. Great portions for the price as well. Only wish they had more options for those allergic to seafood/shellfish but still a great experience.
This place a really good vibe. The food and drinks are amazing.
Station 4 has the best duck fat fries, not to mention a consistent menu of good food. They are good about making sure their customers are satisfied. The fish is always cooked to perfection and fresh. Glad they are in our neighborhood.
Disappointed. Misleading description. I selected a family of 4 seafood platter for take out. The menu said it included a salad and 3 sides. We received far less than advertised. No salad, no 3rd side. Only fries and a tiny 2oz souffle cup of coleslaw somehow to share for 4. Absolutely not an $80/ 4 person meal. Everything was jammed in a 14 pizza box, the LEAST appropriate container for fried food. We selected this restaurant specifically because its website boasted their ability to prepare a meal for takeout which was quite inaccurate.
Waited for about 10 min, and no service. No one even acknowledged us or said they would be right with us. We ended up leaving. Was very disappointed, because the establishment was recommended.
Not much to say here but average Its ok to go with a group to socialize, and has a nice outdoor area to enjoy drinks. Otherwise the food is usually underwhelming for the cost, average service and is more of a bar atmosphere.
Awesome dining experience! Made a reservation and when we arrived, we were immediately seated to the area we wanted and the waiter was attentive and friendly. Food was prompt and made well. The bottomless mimosas were also great!!
Good service. Patient waiter with a quality meal. The atmosphere is wonderful.
The decor is amazing. I had brunch with friends and enjoyed the drinks.
Went for a friends birthday. Service was good except the waiter didnt know specific things on the menu. Food was just ok, under-seasoned in my opinion for the money you spend.
The food was ok, but the bottomless mimosas where great and constantly flowing!
This place is for pork eaters. There is nothing wrong with that, however everybody doesnt eat it. The only turkey option was turkey ham. The food was legit cold, I didnt bother even sending it back. I dont think theyre capable of doing any better than what they did. I wont be back. Expensive for no reason at all. Service was horrible, just wasnt a pleasant experience at all. Oh and the Mimosa was hot, go figure. Food cold and drinks hot. Left to go have lunch elsewhere.
The food was very pricy but I guess thats what you get when you go out for brunch in a city. Were talking $18 pancakes. Besides that, the food ( I ordered the breakfast burrito) was really yummy. The atmosphere of the restaurant is a bit diminished by how dark it is, even in the daytime. The service was a little lacking but it think it was just super busy. The water tasted...gross...but I think thats just DC water in general.
Cute spot! Food was really good and the service was great. The atmosphere could stand a little upgrade but honestly it was a fabulous little brunch spot!
Great food and vibes ! I love visiting this place often !
Had the whole grilled brazino fish . It was well seasoned, and cooked perfectly. Celebrated 30th birthday here and the restaurant vibes were great too
We had our rehearsal dinner here last month and it was spectacular! The vibe of the restaurant was beautiful, food was delicious and the service team was great! Thank you Salwa for making it an easy smooth process and thank you Angel for being there to help our party!
Celebrated Fathers Day brunch here....BIG MISTAKE!!! The air conditioner was not working at all, it was extremely hot and uncomfortable!! We requested to speak with the manager who was the least bit concerned!! Very unprofessional and slightly rude staff. The food was pricey, the mimosas were warm, seat cushions were torn. This place is clearly not ready for prime time. Please dont waste your time or money at this restaurant.
Worst service ever!! In town for the weekend and was soo excited to try this place and was very disappointed. Hostess blantly walked pasted me, ignored me, and proceeded to seat couple that walked in behind us. I then told my boyfriend to walk to the bar, see if we could just go there, basicallu told us to go sit wherever and basically shooed us away. I was literally appalled. Ended up just leaving.
The service was not great, we got our entree before our appetizer. The champagne was terrible and gave me a massive headache. The food was decent.
I absolutely love this place. They have a fantastic menu and a warm and cozy atmosphere. The staff is second to none. I highly recommend this fine establishment.
This restaurant charges 20% gratuity but the service is not good. We had a 7:45 pm reservation, but when we got there there was NO hostess. At 8:05 someone finally came and sat us. It would be 8:25 when we finally had a waiter come ask us if we would like to order. He never stuck around to get a drink order from us. Our food came pretty fast and was tasty BUT we were NEVER given silverware or napkins. We ended up chasing someone down for a napkin and asking for a drink. The restaurant was not crowded and the service was HORRIBLE. I only gave them 1 star because you can’t review without giving at least 1 star.
Came for my bffs 21st on a Tuesday morning and they accommodated for us to have bottomless mimosas :) thank you so much!!
Had a bit of a wait for reservation because they were understaffed. After that things went very well. Our waiter was wonderful, the service fast, and the food tasty.
The service my group of 3 received by Maroon was unparalleled. He attentive and kind and I would honestly come back just for him. The food came out hot and quick and the drinks kept flowing. Highly recommend.
Beware if you want restaurant week take out. The restaurant week menu has an upcharge for items ON the restaurant menu. They dont mention this when you place the order on the phone. It surprises you when its time to pay. Thats NOT how restaurant week is supposed to work. Plus the staff was rude.
Extremely overpriced for the quality of food. And the service was horrible. The restaurant was maybe 10% full.
Walid was absolutely amazing! Took care of us throughout the stay. definitely coming back
Ambiance abounds. Great Location for access(Waterfront Metro) or just to watch people go by...above average food selection...very good service!I had a chance to visit for a late Friday evening dinner. We were hungry and there was MUCH to choose from. We decided to share plates:Appetizers:Onion Soup.....OutstandingSteamed Mussels with broth and bread...Outstanding!EntreesGrilled ScallopsGrilled Seafood SaladThe verdict - Great menu selection, preparation, and presentation. The best Onion Soup I have enjoyed(thick broth and a thick cheese top).Steamed Mussels were fresh, plentiful, and full of flavor(The broth was excellent with a hint of lemon). The seafood in the grilled seafood salad was excellent(fresh).I wanted a bit more out of the entrees for the price(but very well prepared).Cheers!
So this restaurant is by the absolute gorgeous DC WHARF. But its not on the Wharf, it was about a 12 minute walk from out hotel. The ambience was nice, the servers were great, attentive, professional and nice. However the food was mediocre at best. This is DC, this is the nations capital with completely ridiculous prices all around, prices people from other states arent used to. So with that being said, for this price point we expected the food to taste A LOT. The steak wasnt good but it was close to the price point of Mortons, Ruth Chris and other Steakhouses. The stuffed salmon was ok. My husband and I enjoyed ourselves because again the ambience was nice but Im not sure we will be returning.
Excellent food, great atmosphere and fast service
Great service & very good food. Had the Mediterranean pizza & it was delicious! Salted Caramel Gelato very good!
Station 4 is a great neighborhood spot for those of us who live in SW. I recommend the pizza at the bar. Ask for Andrés if you are in the bar area. He is one of the best in DC.
My bartenders name is Walid and he made this trip memorable, will definitely return and recommend this restaurant specifically for him.
Food was not good.Sorry my original post was not informative. I normally dont write long reviews. It was our anniversary and our expectations were high. We ordered the calamari for an appetizer. The calamari was not flavorful, the sauce tasted like the dipping sauce from Pizza Hut, and the ones at the bottom were soggy. The stuffed salmon was just not up to par compared to other places. Hope this helps.
The Kale salad was very good and the service was great. Will return.
I went to dinner and the food and drinks was great, will have to check out their brunch menu next time.
My friends and I had brunch and we had a great time... This is definitely a great place to socialize with friends. The food was good; I dont recommend the NY Strip it was dry and tuff...
Great food great atmosphere prices a little on the high side
This was a solid place for brunch. The food was decent; good, but not mind blowing. Service was generally pleasant, but our waiter in particular wasn’t very attentive (only saw him for ordering and for the check). It didn’t seem that busy to me, but idk. Decor is nice, very hip and lush feeling. It seems like a place where cool black people brunch and vibe together and I can get into that.
AMAZING!!! Service, food, and drinks were all amazing. Special shout-out to Walid and Andrès. Actual kings.
Once again I had a nice meal(s)and time at Station4. Sat outside since it was a nice day. Was seated very quickly and the wait/server staff was very attentive. Specifically Angel. He made sure we were good at all times and it was very much appreciated. Always enjoy great food n service at Station 4.
Always had excellent service they have not let me down yet #Larbilikethat
My family took a vacation to DC for Thanksgiving and stopped in for brunch at Station 4. The atmosphere was amazing and the decor was tasteful. The manager Bianca was attentive, gracious and delightful. Our party was large and our waitstaff Aracely and Angel were amazing and prompt. The food was well presented, delicious and we did not wait long for it. I’m definitely coming back to visit. I definitely recommend this restaurant.
The atmosphere was nice. I enjoyed the calamari and the duck fat fries. However I didnt enjoy my entrée. The linguini del mar fell short. It was bland, even after adding extra sauce it didnt make a difference. I ended up taking the leftover portion home and spiced it up. The portion sizes were generous but overall this wasnt my favorite dining experience.
Great food and nice atmosphere for brunch outside. Eggs Benedict and the French toast are amazing.
The food was just thumbs down for the prices, it smelled like an old restaurant, the kitchen was loud with chatter, and you could hear the hand dryers from the restroom area while being seated in the dining area. Won’t be back here.
Duck fat fries and crab dip were excellent. Burger was decent, but nothing incredible considering the price.
First time there. I wish that their menu was a little bit larger
I visited the restaurant with my sister and a friend who recommended the restaurant because she had visited it once pre-COVID and raved about the brunch she enjoyed.Upon entry, the hostess greeted us enthusiastically and was quite welcoming. She escorted us to a booth that was in desperate need of repair. The seat cushion was torn and had been poorly patched. As I looked at my menu, I noticed that although it was incased in a protective plastic covering, the paper menu itself was stained and warped as if someone had spilled a drink on it. While waiting on the waiter, we decided on an appetizer (crab and artichoke dip) and our entrees. After waiting a bit, the waiter finally approached and took our drink orders. I ordered a sweet tea and the waiter explained that they only sell it unsweetened. He then offered to sweeten it with simple syrup which I was grateful for. It took him another 8 minutes to return with our drinks. When the tea arrived, it was dark in color, and bitter to taste (I could taste the grinds). This indicated that it was either old or I had received what was at the bottom of the pot. I could not drink it, so I traded it for a soda. Before leaving the table, we placed our entrée orders. As we waited, we looked around the restaurant and I saw that it could use some TLC. There were cobwebs on the chandelier above our table and the chairs and booths needed to be refinished and/or reupholstered. When we finally received the appetizer, we all looked it and thought that it looked unappetizing. There was a big glob of white cheese that turned our stomachs. My sister decided to be brave and taste it and immediately said that it was not good. My friend sitting across from me also tasted it and agreed with my sister. I refused to even try it based its appearance. Less than 3 minutes of receiving the appetizer, we received our entrees. Had we liked the appetizer, this would have been too quick, but we were quite hungry and was glad to have food. I ordered fish and chips and both of my guests had the crab cake sandwich. The fish appeared appetizing but was devoid of flavor. The only thing that I could taste was the grease it was cooked in. My guests said the same thing about their crab cake sandwiches and remarked that the ketchup was the only thing that imparted a little flavor. I wanted to order dessert but decided not to take a chance given the lackluster appetizer and meal that I had already witnessed. One of my guests ordered dessert but was unimpressed. The overall experience was disappointing.
First time eating there. The service was great and the food was excellent! Will recommend this place to friends and family.
Wonderful staff and service, beautiful views of the waterfront, and most importantly excellent food and drink! My time at Station 4 was nothing but enjoyable. It is certainly a must try!
Just took out a salad but it was very good.
20% gratuity for terrible service and the food quality has declined. The server was rude and the food was nasty. I will NEVER return.Check #39Table 104/30/21We spent $650 dollars in your establishment and most of the food was trashed. I called to speak with a manager today to inform him of my experience, the manager on duty appeared to be to busy to care. I was basically rushed off the phone.
Service could be better. Our waiter did not come by after he took our order. He did not bring any bread to our table. We had to ask for it from the person who brought our food. He only came by to assist other patrons at the next table. We ordered crab dip that was warm. Caesar salad with Salmon was very good. Lava cake was very small, it was not a true lava cake. Atmosphere was a little noisy, but that was probably because it was a World Series night.
The bartender was awesome!! Good was fresh
Sunday nights are quiet but the level of service remains high and the food is very tasty
Good food but they charged you with 20% service without asking. Be very careful !!!! That is totally inappropriate and speaks very bad about the ethics of this place. Steal is not goodI UNDERSTAND YOUR COMMENTS. WE WERE 4 AND WAS BY MAY 29th. I KNOW HOW’S THE DEAL WITH PARTIES OF 6/8 PEOPLE. THAT WAS NOT OUR CASE. I FELT TJE WAITER WAS ABUSING BY ADDING 20% IN FRONT WITHOUT MY CONSENT. THIS IS CALLED ROBBING THE CUSTOMER. GRATUITY IS THAT - GRATIFICATION FOR THE SERVICE..THIS SPEAKS VERY BAD OF YOUR PLACE AND EVERYBODY DESRVE TO KNOW THAT PRACTICE. AT THE END I REFUSER TO PAY THE 20% AND PAY 15% THAT I THINK WAS TOO MUCJ FOR THIS UNPLEASANT EXPERIENCE.
Drink selection is limited but the fish and chips was delicious
Great place for a business lunch!
