A great place to stop for coffee whether you have a Capital One credit card (and 50 per cent discount) or not. The nicest and most helpful staff are there to assist in your banking or prepare your drink. I showed John an email I received about an upgrade to my current card and he suggested an even better one thats more suited to my lifestyle. My Mocha Frappe was ice cold and delicious, but not icy, so no brain freeze. Perfect end to my busy day.

Were there at the grand opening. Great atmosphere. Lots of people having fun. They had a DJ with awesome music. Activities for the whole family. The coffee was great. The staff was super friendly, professional and were making sure people got to know this new concept of coffee place / banking with great technology available. Impressed.

The absolute BEST experience I’ve ever had in DC. They take care of you like family here. The staff is the best. I’m from Virginia and they took care of me like they knew me my entire life.

Usually the staff here is outstanding and very helpful. However, I am disappointed with the lack of service that I received recently.I went into get assistance with my bank card as the mobile app and automatic telephone service didn’t recognize the card. Unfortunately, Henry at the bank refused to assist and proceeded to chit chat with another employee while sitting down, despite the fact that I was the only customer. As if the refusal of Henry to actually work was not insulting enough, I was overcharged by over $11 for my coffee order after I complained about Henry. I did call customer service to complain about that experience and took a photo of Henry just sitting down after he refused to assist me.

Great atmosphere, quiet and not too many people hanging around like a Starbucks. They give you a discount at Peets coffee (the cafe side of Capital One cafe) if you use Capital One bank cards. A great location to just take a coffee break and look at pedestrians and wonder whats on their mind. Ive been trying different kinds of ice teas they offer and Ive been enjoying them so far.

I have a Capital One credit card and a 360 account but I have done nothing related to those things at this place. Instead I have had awesome coffee, escaped a cold rainy day when I was early for a movie, went to a free yoga class, discovered local businesses, and took a painting class! Love this place!

The staff here is so incredibly nice especially the capital one ambassadors. They make a coffee shop feel more like a community than a place to stop and get a place of coffee. John, Shelley, the security staff, everyone is so incredibly friendly and warm. They greet you with a warm smile and a friendly hello!There are also happy hours where you can get free coffee with a cap one card. Not a bad perk at all!

Went for happy hour on a Thursday. Pete’s coffee was great. The service was quick and friendly. Plenty of seating and places to work or study. One of the employees, John, found out it was my child’s birthday and he got a swag bag together as a gift. Very kind and cool. We had just opened the child’s first savings account so it made for a memorable experience. Super saver in the making! Cool spot, check it out.

The staff here are incredibly helpful and friendly. John helped me find a quiet nook for my video call; the security guard (didnt catch his name) kindly watched my stuff when I went to the bathroom. Overall, the space is clean and the wifi is good. Highly recommend this cafe for students and remote workers!

The atmosphere is incredibly relaxing and efficient but what made the experience was JOHN. His nature is extremely kind, helpful, and Beyond customer service. He turned my experience from a first time visit into a loyal customer!!! I have been waiting for a place like this in DC, that is welcoming, accessible, clean and relaxing. John was the perfect guide and welcoming person, if he is not here and professionally growing I will not come back! lol. He made it amazing.

Love this place. They have a happy hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays where you get any free coffee if you have a Capital One card. Any free coffee! Latte, iced coffee, ect. Super awesome security staff with helpful tips about upcoming events. Free Friday movie night once a month. A great workspace.

There are many places in the city where you can get amazing coffee, but this is the best of the best. I am always surprised and delighted to taste such savory!

What a great space. They serve Peets Coffee in an open-air environment with plenty of small tables and window nooks. Rochelle gave me a tour of the space and mentioned all the community events they have throughout the month. She was an absolute ray of sunshine and was a joy to talk to. Ill definitely be back!

So does the place close at 7:00 pm on weekdays or does it close at 6:51 pm? I went there on Monday(2/11/2019) and it seems like the kids there just work whenever they feel like it. The coffee is good when they decide to make it.

This place is the ideal place to come and do work, coffee tastes great at a 4th(with a capital one card) the price of Starbucks and everyone is so friendly and nice. Me and my friend have started coming every weekend. John Pierre deserves a big raise.

Very nice area for teleworking or just a coffee. They have a few private rooms for meetings free of charge at the first come, first served basis. However, the location, conveniently located facing Gallery place metro station, is a downside attracting homeless and maybe other suspicious people. That may sound politically incorrect, but the truth is that I dont feel comfortable leaving my laptop on the table when I go to the toilet, which is something I dont mind doing in other coffee shops.

This place is great! Great (inexpensive but high quality) coffee, service, staff, and its perfect for meetings that allow you to properly get out of the office without feeling like youre in the way, clustered, cluttered, or rushed.Also, the ATM is fee-free... So, travelers, take note.

I believe that everyone should receive a modicum of respect and amazing customer service. That was not the case with todays trip. I will not be going back to this location and I hope that no one else has to deal with walking into an establishment to not receive service.

January 3rd, 2020Capital One Cafe, featuring Peet’s CoffeeWashington DC, ChinatownI am at the corner of H NW and Seventh NW. The corner sees plenty of human activity. I’m watching the three person team of canvassers from the Nature Conservancy, an organization I support. The conservancy pays hard dollars to put natural lands into protected status for as long as property rights work in the United States, hopefully forever.The three men team might or might not be direct employees of the conservancy. The conservancy might have hired a fundraising company, giving the company the right to use the good name of the non-profit. Not one of the team could expect to see the executive director soon or expect an invite to one of the fundraising galas.I find remarkable that the team marches in a circle, one behind the other, until a popping right up in front of a prospect and pedestrian. I see how the canvassers each use hand gestures and hand contact to make the prospect stop walking. Most people just keep walking, avoid eye contact, look at a companion or raise the phone to their eyes. A few engage the canvasser in conversation and the canvasser has been trained to use that nub of conversation to begin a series of persuasive gambits. The script has hours of testing and field validation behind it.One person who signs up for thirty dollars a month can justify having a canvasser on the street for an entire shift. They’re making at least fifteen dollars an hour, so seventy five dollars in wages and no benefits easily pays for a subscription that will ear 360 dollars a year. Most people are just too lazy to remove the charge for a year of two. It gets me every time. I paid two years of a fax service of ten dollars a month, and I used it once. Two hundred and forty dollars means real money, especially for an intangible service, such as a membership or a service. I just wonder how these handsome, vital young men live on seventy five to ninety dollars a day, before taxes.A different business plan for acquiring customers works inside this cafe. This serves as a branch of the Capital One bank. A mortgage can be originated inside this cozy cafe with a Peet’s Coffee stand in the southwestern corner. A banker said hello and I said hello back to him. I told him about a State Farm location in Chicago with a brandless coffee bar, offering places for meetings and student study. He hadn’t heard of it. “It’s nice to come in here and write, drink coffee and manage my online money. Maybe I’ll see the need for Money Coaching”. He laughed. That’s the label on six offices with glass walls, glass doors, where the quiet talk about money can be talked.I see the China Friendship Gate across the intersection. The crosswalk has the characters of the Chinese Zodiac, good tokens to keep in mind as we approach the Year of the Yang Metal Rat, beginning January 25th. The God looks toward the past and toward the future. Maybe it is a good omen to be writing in a bank in January, gazing east through the Chinese gate of friendship.

Told that they wouldnt take a reusable cup with another coffee companys logo on it. Way to care more about corporate identity than the planet you live on. I can literally walk in here and work with the Starbucks I buy across the street and people come in with Chipotle and Cava as well.

Capital One Cafe is the cheapest coffee shop...if you are a Capital One Bank member. Its a large cafe in the middle of Chinatown across the street from the Metro. The space has a back space with Capital One employees to answer any banking question you have, a lounge area with strong wifi, and a coffee shop powered by Peets. If you bank with Capital One Bank all the drinks are 50% off (FYI: the food is full price for everyone). That means you can get a latte for $2 or so. In a city like DC, this cafe is one of the cheapest shops brewing more quality coffee.

What a joke....360 and Capital One act like 2 separate entities...I cant get a single statement of all my accounts from both places...the new improved online system takes functionality away and is poorly designed...cant get a statement from October because there were no transactions (but I got interest paid....since when is that not a transaction?!)....oh and I forgot....the online system has bugs...like the wrong maturity date on ALL 10 of my CDS....clearly CapOne 360 is putting all their money into silly little cafes into decent customer support and accurate timely information!!

The coffee is much better than Starbucks. There is NOT too much empty space unless you like sitting elbow to elbow with strangers or having someones butt in your face every time someone had to walk by you. 🙄Not every branch of Capital One is like this. In fact, I opened my account here and made my first deposit at a traditional location on Connecticut Ave in the Dupont Circle area.I personally, really like the concept since Im going to school right now and about to launch my new career as a personal trainer and being able to talk to someone about improving my credit and things of that nature regarding the financial aspect of my new career is convenient when I get distracted by thoughts on that subject while Im studying.I also really appreciate the swift and appropriate action that was taken when a (now former) employee was rude AF to me and my husband during a visit. I felt truly respected and valued the way they handled the situation.

Wendys a lil Cap1 lifesaver ....i was SKTRESSSSSED after walking from the 901NY location which no longer exists prior to walking there from elsewhere ..seeing as Im in town for a conference. I think she just felt my pain walking in...stood n smiled as i made my payment walking thru the steps. While Im still somewhat salty over Capital Ones acquisition of my beloved Ing Direct, I prefer not to let that affect my review of Cap Ones Chinatown cafe.Ive been looking for a calm place near my pffi e where I can go to lunch without having to fight the crowds or spend $20 for table. Capital One fits that bill and it has solid coffee options besides. While those looking for a full service bank may be disappointed (though why youd expect a full-service bank at a cafe associated with your online banking account I do not know,) those looking for inexpensive coffee and no pressure seating in Chinatown will be pleased with the location.The cafe can be hard to find if youre not familiar with Chinatown. Basically, proceed to 7th and H and look for the cafe across from the much more crowded Starbucks. I looked around the Capital One Arena first... allow me to save you that mistake.

Ridiculous concept. Who could possibly take a financial institution seriously that is more interested in its decor than how it manages your money. Off to find a new bank..one for adults.

I dont want a coffee shop with ATMs. I want a BANK. For years Capital One has been pushing its App for deposits, the thing only reads my checks about 50% of the time. They closed two branches that were real, banks closer to me to open up this stupid cafe.First thing the guy said to me was this is a digital concept and then just told me where the ATM was and where what looked to be an iPad was mounted if I had questions, and got back to flipping on his own iPad.Ill be moving my money to a real bank.

Friendly staff. Free co-working and discount on drinks if you’re a Capital One member. Lots of plugs. They sometimes bring in free snacks or lunch. Never know when though. Stuff just tends to appear.

Its a great place to come and study, I came here and got a quiet spot and finished my paper. Loved the staff as well.
