Went during COVID. An appointment is required to enter the venue. I arrived well before my scheduled time and still had to wait 10 -15 min post my appointment time before I could enter. It appears I was delayed entry because they were conducting inventory updates on the retail floor. This cannot be done in the Stock room? I digress. The store will have something for every “sneaker head”. However the staff didn’t seem as knowledgeable about their product. Also you are paying reseller price for certain shoes even if the release is a week after its general retail release. Not cool. I think ordering via Major’s website is a best situation vs going to the store. Visiting the store is more of a bucket list experience. Once you did it you’ll never need to do it again.
Selection is top notch I make it a point to visit when Im back in town and get items not available online.
Great selection for size 13/7/11c. It was easy for me to communicate what I was looking for. I will definitely be returning. 👍
Decent shop. The store requires appointments, which nowadays seems to be obsolete. After waiting for my appointment to come in, I realize that the store is impossible to walk in due to all the boxes. So many boxes yet no larger men sizes?
Great staff and great selection. Wont let you try on shoes tho, so you better know what size you need.
Great local streetwear boutique. Friendly and helpful staff. Really like their brand and original DC themed clothing. Definitely coming back!
The tone in this store is the worst I have experienced in my time in Washington DC. On top of that, you are not allowed to try on the shoes. You are only allowed to look and then buy directly. Unfriendly, poor selection, no opportunity to try on. Well, then Ill just order from another store, ONLINE!
Dope raffle system its actually fair! Website is on point and shipping speed to NYC in just under a week! Beauty well done for real 👌🏼👌🏼🙏🏻
Worst customer service, I came 12pm when they just open and they told me that I needed an appoinment and the store was empty. Then they allowed me to enter and then he realzied that I have a dog and says that dogs are not allowed
They handle raffles and in store release days horribly. Do not recommend.Edit (since the business decided to leave a snarky reply): First come first serve is absolutely no issue. However, no ticketing system, no information given to those in line about stock, and ridiculous wait times are not the norm for in person first come first serve releases. All online raffles require an Instagram to enter, such an obvious cheap ploy for marketing when their website could easily handle it.My advice: find a shop that actually cares about their customers instead of snarky Google reviews.
Not only was the customer service terrible but extremely unprofessional. These owners / employees only care about taking your money & not the quality of the shoes they’re selling. Reached out to them about an issue with the yeezys I bought and they basically told me there’s nothing they can do. Not to mention the store looks nothing like it does on the website, when you walk in there’s boxes everywhere you can barely walk through. The women helping did know what she was talking about which pushed me to feel more confident in buying from them, but turns out I got two different size yeezys and they are not willing to do anything to help.
ABSOLUTELY DO NOT PURCHASE FROM HERE!!!!!!!! Aside from not being able to try on “designer” sneakers, they are defective! if you are spending any money on sneakers, go right to stock x or goat or anywhere else besides here. You cannot try on the sneakers in store (because they are defective and you won’t know until you leave and then cannot return), the people are not appreciative of your service & they just want your money! Coming from someone who has multiple pairs of yeezys and has bought them all from adidas.com itself or stock x I will never buy from somewhere like this again. The yeezys purchased from here are defective. The left foot is true to size, the right is two sizes smaller. Called them up couldn’t get an apology, couldn’t get anything but to “call adidas”. 100% do not recommend. Not to mention we came all the way from Jersey. Horrible customer service.
Great place to shop. Fabulous friendly proprietors. Definately a nice area in Georgetown.
This place is the sneaker and fashion staple of DC. Ive been going here for years and the owners Dukki and Yoon have been nothing but amazing each visit. They make their policies very clear both online and in store and offer fair chances to purchase hard to get sneakers. The way they are doing appointments to come in store and shop is also very reassuring given the current times we are living in. If youre in Georgetown or the DC area, you have to stop by! Dukki himself is a walking encyclopedia when it comes to sneakers and fashion. Thanks for being my familys go-to spot!
The server was good but they don’t let you try it on.
They cancelled my appointment because I had my service dog with me.
Walked into the store today. A sign out front said open and the door was of course open. I went in, immediately had an employee ask if I have an appointment to which I said no but told her it says youre open out front. She was rude the entire time, didn’t even try to be cordial or nice about any thing. I went outside, she followed and said see it says appointment only and pointed to a small handwritten note on their door that I hadn’t noticed as it was covered in multiple other signs. It was easy to miss. Ok, fine my bad but she was Incredibly unprofessional regardless. I also wouldn’t have a problem with it if google didn’t have an update from the owner that said they are accepting walk ins on Fridays and Saturdays. Also I wouldn’t have a problem if there was anyone else in the store but it was empty. I had enjoyed coming here pre covid but I will not be returning after this.Edit in response to the owners comment:I apologize for thinking the sign was handwritten, I did not get that good of a look at it before I left. I thought from a glance that it was sharpie or something but I was wrong. As for the rest of your points. The door was open. Since you have surveillance at all times you will be able to see that the door was open. And to make sure we are on the same page, I’m talking about the plywood door you built in front of your door. That outer door was open, and then the inner door was closed but unlocked and I was able to wall right in, you know, like most businesses.I stand by my statement about how I was treated, I think she was rude. I guess judging by how you respond to most negative reviews here it must come from working there.Regardless, you say online you will take walk ins, but the employee didn’t mention this or say hey, someone with an appointment is here or is about to get here but if you wait we’ll take a walk in if there’s time. Please see the photo to show that on saturdays walk ins are supposedly accepted. And again the store was empty when I walked in. I wouldn’t have minded waiting but wasn’t even given the option, just told I need an appointment.I do not believe I was misrepresenting facts. Im sorry I thought the printed sign was handwritten. I’m done here. I will stay true to my word and not return.Thank you for taking the time to respond to me.
Love the yeezy 380
Great customer service. Had my size in stock when other stores in the area were sold out. Got them for retail. 10/10 would recommend. If I lived in the area, this would be my go to spot. Keep up the good work!
Went in for the Concords, Sports Illustrated, and Statics. I like the store. Staff seems friendly and diverse. They give you this cool sticker of their brand when you purchase a product from them. I put it on my laptop.Only downside is that they charge a little above retail for some limited shoes, specially the 1s. I didn’t know until I got home that I paid $185 for the Sports Illustrated. I was pretty upset. Kinda greedy in my opinion to milk a few dollars from the community while the rest is charging MSRP, and you know the shoes are highly anticipated. I even heard that they charged $200 for the Spider-Man1s which is just ridiculous!!
After being a long time shopper with majors I took a moment off from from shopping there when they closed to renovate and open a new location I was so excited to come back to Georgetown and visit the new location and pick up a couple pair of shoes from the new inventory that is always great and exclusive and moderately priced I love majors for what they have always offered and the customer service I have experienced in the past is why I was comfortable with continuing to shop there but my most recent visit has made me no longer want to even enter the store. The new employees and the lack of customer service by I guess what they consider the New Concept of not being able to try on shoes is so rude and the way the gentleman approaches is so arrogant and smug I dont know where they hire their employees from but they definitely need some customer service training I felt violated and completely disrespected although I was currently wearing a $300 pair of shoes that I had purchased from majors the employee made me feel like I was a homeless man off the street who didnt have money to spend Ive never been treated that way by a fellow African-American who definitely should have sensitivity towards not only his own culture but Humanity in general. I will only return as a customer if they get rid of their hype man at the door who has no clue how to cater to the type of clientele that I know majors would like to keep
So, apparently you can only try the shoes if you’re 100% sure you’re going to buy them. I wanted to try a Nike pair and the guy told me he would get me my size if I was certain I was going to buy them. How am I supposed to know if I like them or not if I can’t even try them on? Doesn’t make any sense..
MAJOR is an awesome sneaker boutique in NW DC (Georgetown area).Parking is a pain in the neck, but once you get in the store, it makes it all worthwhile.Awesome inventory. Great prices (below market rate on several pairs, even).Super-friendly staff who know their stuff.CLEAN store layout as well. 5 Stars all-around.
By far the best sneaker shop in the area. The owners and staff are knowledgeable and friendly. You couldnt ask for a better experience.
They wanted to charge 350 for utility black 700s when retail is 300. I thought it was a retail shop not resale? Immediately cancelled when the lady said 350 plus tax. Rip off.
Don’t bother wasting your time here since the store doesn’t allow you to try shoes on. All sales are final once you buy so if you try buying a pair of shoes and it doesn’t fit, guess what ... YOU ARE OUT OF LUCK!Horrible business model and more importantly, not customer oriented. To make matters worse the the Asian store rep was not accommodating and did not appear interested in serving the customers.
Great service bought a MJ Tee
I saw on one of their sites that the shipping is free but that was not the case. When I called to enquire about the delay in delivery they told me I had to pay for it. You guys should really avoid false advertising. All in all the shoes are great.”
**They claim 14 pairs of shoes were lost, and are forcing me to go in to get my money back...3 trips to this establishment is 3 too many (one to place the order, one to pick up even though my shoes werent there to begin with...LIARS, and one to get my money back). Absolutely HORRIBLE customer service. The woman in the shop is a terrible person who has no idea how to run a business. These people are AWFUL and so is their store.**I was so excited to order a pair of the Washington Capitals shoes from here, I took a Saturday to go in and place the order. Placing the order was painless enough except for since it was a men’s shoe it would have been nice if there were similar models to try on so I wasn’t blindly picking the size as a female. Fast forward to Friday, I received a call saying that my shoes had finally come in. I had asked on the day I ordered them if they would hold them until I was able to pick them up which wasn’t until Monday after work. They said it wasn’t a problem and that my shoes would be waiting for me whenever I could get there. Well, I show up to get my shoes on Monday and THEY ARE NOT THERE! Seeing as I preordered these I was pretty upset that I took the time to get to Georgetown after work to pick them up. I asked why they weren’t there and the lady gave some lame excuse saying a shipment of the shoes are lost and they don’t know when they will be coming in. She then stated the reason she didn’t call me was because she thought they would have them in the next day (Saturday) which they did not but still NO PHONE CALL. All would be fine and dandy if she had taken 30 seconds to pick up the phone to tell me that they were delayed so I didn’t waste my evening commuting to Georgetown for shoes that don’t yet exist. She told me 3 of us had ordered the same size but only one pair of that size made it to the store so it was first come, first served. Also fine and fair, but then you need to pick up this novel invention called a telephone and let the other 2 of us know that ours are delayed. It’s a simple fix to a simple problem but the store’s customer service was so bad I will NEVER be shopping here again. For my inconvenience I asked that they ship them to my house when they arrive and she wouldn’t even do that because the store would have to pay for shipping, well I had to pay to get down there for nothing so seems fair they should make up their mistake and pay the few dollar shipping fee to satisfy the customer and for wasting my time! All she offered was to give me my money back and cancel my order for the shoes, which I know I should have done because this rip off of a place doesn’t deserve my money but I’ve been looking forward to these shoes so I said no. I will be calling every day now to check on the shoes because these people obviously are not competent enough to pick up the phone themselves and do the right thing.
Deceptive staff. They told all about 20 of us standing in line to come back at 2 when they would open sales to public about 7 of us waited like any person vulnerable to a person telling them the truthBut everyone of us were lied to. We stood out there from 1200 to 2 pm when they came out there didnt offer to say a word. I asked so you do have shoes left. Same man that told us to wait switched the scrip looked at me straight in my eyes like he was staring straight through me and said he didnt say that about those shoes and there were no more left. Well if their intention was to disappoint future customers they achieved it. Everyone of us expressed our disappointment and pointed out what he said. So just like a thief that comes to steal. Thats what I felt like this company did to each one of us. So if anyone ever mentions MAJOR. Im going to say insignificant and extremely poor customer service with a lot of deception. MAJOR shame on you Also hooking up people that were lurking outside without tickets. Resellers I guess. Lol the owner even said the guy didn’t say that. I’m done with businesses that either don’t have control over there employees or just plain ole scam.
I went to the store today to find some yeezys. I found one pair but was not allowed to try it on (have never heard anything like that before) so I tried to figure out my size. We tried several other adidas shoes on to see which one fit . I am not from the US so I had to convert it to EU sizes which can be a bit tricky. We knew I would be a size 6 or 7 either / or for sure. After 1/2 hour contemplating I decided to buy them. Going over to the counter the shop owner whispered something to the guy working there and Oops out of the blue they never had size 6 or 7 at all. Apparently, the yeezys came in new stock just today, this is how he started and he was sure he had 6/7 size too. I don’t know the reason why they didn’t want to sell it to me . Maybe because I am not from the US and it took me some time to decide 🤔. Well very unprofessional from that place. Rude towards the end as well because I knew what happened. You shouldn’t underestimate someone just because he/she is not from the US 👎🏻 I knew something was up, you acted so weird . I spent 30 min in your store for nothing. You wasted my time. Who makes you deciding who you sell the yeezys to and to whom not. I am sure Kanye wouldn’t like that approach, would he? As well How come you don’t know what you have in stock for abiut 30 min? That means you are totally unprepared. I read a few other comments and it reflects how unprofessional you are.
Hands down the best sneaker shop in DC. They get quickstrikes, yeezys and a ton of other hard to get sneakers that the whole sneaker community are looking for. Duk ki and his wife are a helluva team representing DCs finest!
Called this afternoon and was immediately greeted with “hi what’s up”. Excuse me.....unprofessional. Then there must have been a lack of reception because I could barely hear the sales associate. When I asked the young man over the phone do you have certain sizes available. He said yes we do but we don’t do try ons. After telling him I could barely hear him over the phone he continued to not even speak to me and HUNGUP. Please don’t waste your money. Go somewhere else. A store that doesn’t allow people to try on shoes before purchasing them is entirely too smug and thinks little of their customers.
The worst. Nasty owner, can’t try things on. Avoid
Do they have converse white high tops here? (My review isn’t actually one star it made me rate it somehow in order to ask a question )
Advertise releases for limited shoes as “first come first serve” and “launching in store”....but then when you finally get to the register they’re charging $45 over MSRP for a pair of Jordan 1s.Staff seemed nice which bumped up the one star to two. They’re just lucky they happen to be one of maybe three stores in the DMV that get limited releases. The upcharge on retail is shameful.
Who ever they employ are the worst in customer service they dont care about you just want you to buy. I tried calling for info on a release and he couldnt just provied the information just directed me to instagram when their is an option of calling about a shoe relaese and if they are in stock just hung up acting like a girl whinning was terrible
They have the hard to find shoes and some nice fitted hats. The sales staff is very helpful and the prices arent bad.
Very cool boutique close to my home in Dupont Circle and the owners are friendly and lay nice music that makes you want to dance and spend more money and get fly for whatever occasion.
Very overpriced...the staff will ignore you if you dont look trendy...I was dressed in a Buisness suit & I was ignored.
They add to the retail price
Really good service and showroom. Staff was friendly and very fast.
