Great intimate spot and excellent music variations! Jimmy assisted us and provided many great recommendations! We ended up with a variety and enjoyed the Fat Bottom Betty while there! This is our new go-to cigar! Nikki served the best Sangria and coffee, while Nicole engaged and chatted with us. I highly recommended this location and will definitely revisit!

Casa de Montecristo is a rock solid cigar shop and bar to visit, especially with friends. They have a great selection of cigars and knowledgeable staff, even your least experienced companion should be able to find something good. The team here is excellent and everyone that steps in is treated like a familiar customer and friend. Their bar is also excellent.

Phenomenal service, selection and style! The gentleman was extremely knowledgeable in regard to the cigar selection. In addition, the female bartender was attentive to our needs while providing superb service.

Awesome place! I stopped by to buy some gifts for friends and the staff were very knowledgeable about exactly what I was looking for! I have no knowledge about cigars and was only going off what my friends had said they liked and the staff knew exactly what to get me. Very chill atmosphere and everyone there was super friendly. Super happy with my time and love the packaging!! It was a huge hit!

Terrific place to enjoy a cigar in DC. Great selection of cigars with a covered curbside patio. The bar inside serves both liquor and coffee. Staff is friendly and helpful. It was raining while I was there. It was great sitting in on the patio and listening to the weather.

In all honesty, I love their old location better and the staff. I have been to the new location few times it is chill in the patio. I just dont like that not everyone can go down stairs and chill, you have to be a member to be there. The cigar selection is awesome. My number one choice is The Lock Jaw set, amazing selections. The experience I had at Casa de Montecristo goes beyond just tasting cigars. This place is magical they really treat you like family, see others coming in greeting each other having conversations about cigars really tells you this is the place for enthusiast in Washington DC. The best selection of cigars coming from an aficionado whos family comes from the tobacco business. Great selection of drinks, I even had a glass of Barrilito Rum (Puerto Ricos finest Rum) in 6 years in DC o could never get a hold of a bottle and guess what they had it! I am forever grateful and would recommend to anybody from beginners to season enthusiasts.

Really chill spot, has a decent selection of good to fine cigars like Opus X and others. Full bar with indoor and outdoor seating. Great employees and in a good location.

Staff was extremely friendly and helpful. But there is no lounge available for smoking your cigars here. They have great deals though, worth a trip in.But if your looking for a lounge to smoke in, this is not your place.

Great Cigar Lounge. The Atmosphere was very good and the Manager Steve Burch and staff were very professional and very knowledgeable. It was our first time and they gave us a tour and made us feel right at home. The manager Steve really did a great Job with us along with providing service to all the customers. The lounge offers different aspects that would allow you to be extremely comfortable at different locations in the lounge. Steve advised us about memberships and great hours. We will be returning on a regular basis to enjoy the comfort of the lounge and its great atmosphere. Special thanks to Steve and his staff for a Job well done !!

Great place. Knowledgeable of all cigars. Went in not knowing what I wanted. TOLD the rep Daniel what I liked. He made two suggestuons that were spot on. Will patron this place often. And it has a small smoking section in the back.

Good spot just wished food was available and/or allowed.Probably wont be back for that reason alone.Unless you are a DC resident or within close proximity...there are other options with better parking as well.

Cool staff! Relaxed atmosphere. Wish it were....sexier? Styled? More visually stimulating? The name itself implies a warm Cuban vibe, simmering with charm. Somewhere to wear my strappy stilettos, you know? Next time I go, my slip on walking shoes will be just fine.

Great. Absolutely great place to purchase sticks. An inviting atmosphere. And the guy there knows his stuff. Being that I am new to the cigar life, he pointed me in a great direction. I got 2 sticks for about $25. I wouldve paid that much for one at any of the places I smoke. Gotta check them out. Its around the corner from Ozios. Walking distance.

Great cigars, amazingly crisp beers. Their bar taps and lines must be super clean and well maintained because beer taste better here than anywhere.

I have been to the casa many times. The bartenders are all top notch, good for many great laughs and great cocktails. The staff is able to make appropriate recommendations for your cigar palate preferences. Phenomenal whiskey selection and Local beers on tap as well.My expectations for a cigar lounge experience have always been exceeded here... tough to find a better experience especially in dmv area... Period.

A couple doors down from my hotel (AC by Marriott), I stopped in on a whim. Welcoming, knowledgeable staff made me feel like I was at home. Great cigar selections, and their bar was well stocked with premium bourbons and Scotch. Couldn’t have been happier to spend my two nights in DC at this establishment.

Spent a few days in DC and visited the MC lounge. As a member I was pleased with the location and ease of access to Members lounge. Recalled seeing GM at MC location in Hallandale, FL...great customer service by he and the others working that Wed, Thurs and Fri night. Note to all MC employees across the country...should make it a habit to ask a customer if he/she is a member. I find that I don’t often get my discount even at my home base and I hate to feel like a pest and constantly remind but it looks like I’ll have to...otherwise defeats one of the purposes of me paying for a membership.Otherwise all good.Doc,

This is by far one of the best places to smoke in the country hands down. The staff is knowledgeable, the selection is vast and the bartenders are all excellent. There is ample space inside and out and thr private members lounge upstairs is amazing.

Its not a large cigar bar, however, the atmosphere makes up for the size. Who doesnt love being outside when the weather is not too hot and not humid? Enjoying one of their many cigars on the indoor/outdoor patio was great. Everyone was attentive from the bartender who made my drinks to the cigar expert who helped me make an informed purchase. Overall, I will be back again. Its something about this place that was comforting and secluding although youre in the middle of a busy street.

Great selection with a very friendly and knowledgeable staff. The space is open with high ceilings, so its not stuffy or smokey. Location is convenient to the metro stop on the corner. Prices are decent and there are usually deals and promotions, so be sure to ask. I really want to stress how nice the staff is; they take their time to understand what you like and make excellent recommendations, which is a valuable service with a personal touch that you dont get everywhere else.

The furniture is inviting, comfortable and plentiful. Patrons are friendly, staff are knowledgeable and easy going Hands down, one of the best cigar lounge experiences Ive ever had and I live in southern hospitality rich Texas. I only go during the day so I dont know what this place is like at night. But my experience is that this place has an unparalleled selection and a very friendly, helpful staff. The fact that they added a bar and plenty of seating is the cherry on top.

Nice shop, good inventory and excellent staff -- but now that all the permits are in order, we can smoke inside! Ask for a tour of the upstairs, where members have more space & super-comfy seating! Clearly, membership has its privileges!

A place to buy a good cigar as a birthday, fathers day or holiday present. The staff is very knowledgeable and helpful in educating and identifying the perfect smoke. It is also a club...if this is your passion check it out. Beware, it is smokey!!!

Spent a few hours there the Sunday of Labor Day weekend. It had a great selection and very fair prices. Derek I believe was the gentleman bartending and he gave me great insight on places to visit and eat during my vacation. If Im ever in DC again Im heading straight there

Great atmosphere!

I been going to JR (DC) for 4 maybe 5 years now. The staff were always helpful and knowledgeable. They dont press you as soon as you step in the door like the small time tobacco shops (who know very little to nothing about fine cigars). The cigars (name brands and JR Alternatives) are at an affordable price. I stayed to enjoy the lounge area twice. The ventilation is perfect.

Staff here is super helpful and friendly. There is a small patio smoking lounge with drinks available. Cigar selection is good. Very easy to get to as well.

I am a novice cigar smoker but was made to feel like one of the gang immediately as I entered the store! The staff took time to explain the layout, helped me with my selections, then made me feel welcomed in their smoking area, where I met some great folks that enjoy cigars there regularly. I ended up staying there for almost two hours! Thanks for a wonderful experience!

Great selection of tobaccos and cigars and a very helpful staff. My only knock on the place is the big wooden Indian statues they have in the window. Like having a lawn jockey in front of the house, its really not a good look.

Ive accompanied a former worker to this shop often enough to enjoy it. I didnt smoke prior to hanging out with, not cigarettes, but Ive come to smoke a few cigars that my expert former colleague picked out and had cut the shop. After work wed swing by the shop and then head to Lafayette Park to just sit and relax. Anyway, large selection, helpful staff to sort through, and makes a classy gift for some guys.

You wont find a nicer and more welcoming environment for a good smoke.
