I had the best experience a few weeks back here. I bought our car from Matt Amptman and had fun like car buying is supposed to be. Matt and the sales manager did everything they could to help make us comfortable and did not pressure us in the least. Matt was very patient with our young child and helped keep her occupied, and also skipped lunch to make the process quicker. I will not be buying a car from anywhere/anyone else as long as Matt and the sales manager are there, and I could not be happier that they are in our small town. Had to have my escape worked on gave me a rental almost 8 years old nice looking car but was 2 wheel drive the reason I bought my escape was the fact it was a 4 wheel drive train
I picked out a vehicle at the dealership with James. I applied for a loan and was approved with a very low interest rate as I have good credit. I put a $2,000.00 down payment on the vehicle and scheduled pick up. I was diagnosed with covid prior to picking up and asked to delay picking up the vehicle by about a week. Without a phone call or any discussion we received an email stating our money was being returned and that Chris Auffenberg himself did not want to do business with us. I left numerous messages and texts for James with no answer. After I finally got in touch with the GM he said that he needed his job and did what he was told. I even offered to overnight the money needed and compete the paperwork electronically. I was thrown out like trash after being diagnosed with Covid. This dealership has terrible policies in place and is not customer friendly.Robert Mahoney

My wife and I purchased a pre-owned vehicle at Chris Auffenberg right at a year ago. It has been a great vehicle with absolutely no issues. I will continue to do business with this dealership. It can be scary spending close to $20,000 when your on your own and have a wife and two kids, but the sales staff and managers were completely open and transparent and made this process easy and comfortable. I highly recommend Chris Auffenberg to my family and friends when given the chance.
This was the third place I went to with the hope of getting what I wanted for the price I knew I could afford. Not only were the staff very easy going and upfront, they also didnt try to fill my ear with false promises. Grant Fritz showed me a vehicle I fell in love with and the financial department was able to get me monthly payments I could afford. The manager and financial advisor were very friendly and checked on me multiple times throughout the waiting game! I definitely recommend Chris Auffenberg if you want honest, friendly, and piece of mind knowing they wont force you into something you dont want!!
Do not buy a car from these liars and cheats! They sold me a silver car that they found at another location. They said they could not show me pictures. We trusted them and put $200 down. Car arrived and it was a very dark gray, pretty much black. We were very clear we did not want a black car. They refused to return our deposit. Unbelievable!

Im giving Chris Auffenberg 3 stars because of the low ball blue book value on my trade in. After seeing a picture and running the vin they quoted me a trade in price between 8k and 6k, then when I drove 100 miles to go get my truck they only wanted to give me half...3k. The GM Gus knew they had me over a barrel. After 5 hours I was done, so I did the deal. I now see my trade in on the internet for $12,500. They did do some work on it, new tires and painted the hood but not over fours times the trade in price worth of work.The one good experience was our salesmen Chuck Tisius. Very nice guy who went above and beyond and made the experience better. But the GM is tough to do business with.

We all know how car salesmans work. They want to get you for as much as possible. This dealership is no exception. Do not expect high ethical values here. They will take advantage of you. Dont expect to send Grandma in alone, and they send her out the door with the fairest deal possible.

Vehicle was limping @ 15 mph for miles (was told it was called safe mode). Found a tow company that could tow the vehicle & they took it to this dealership. Darrell (Service Manager) was easy to work with. His crew diagnosed the problem & fixed it quickly. AWESOME people to deal with & AWESOME service. Quickly fixed & back on the road. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

Chris Auffenberg Ford in Washington, MO gave me the best car buying experience I’ve ever had. I bought a used Acura from them in Dec 2013. They were much more willing to deal than the few St. Louis dealerships I shopped at. The money I saved was well worth the drive to Washington. The car I bought ended up having some problems and the dealership went above what could be expected to make it right. I highly recommend this dealership.

Pulled up right in front of the doors. Got out and started to look at vehicles. After 10 minutes of searching still no one had approached. I suggest looking elsewhere if you want a sales associate to help you.
When I purchased my Jeep Patriot, the vehicle had a bit of a vibration to it. We got in writing that this would be fixed, and that they were unable to work on it at time of purchase. As we had bought vehicles previously, we trusted the dealership at their word that they would take care of us.When we brought the vehicle back, they said it was the motor mount and replaced it. That did seem to help a little, but I was informed that it could take some time for it to go away and the four cylinders ride a bit rougher.Since I don’t drive very often, I waited for awhile before contacting the dealer again. My Jeep had died on the side of the road over the weekend and I believed the issue to be related.I spoke with Leonce on Monday who told me to bring the vehicle by and he would get someone to look at it. I was unable to until Wednesday. I called that morning and explained that it had tried to stall again, and I didn’t want to drive it all the way there if a mechanic was not available to look at the vehicle.He said, and I quote “we won’t leave you hanging.” I told him the time I expected to arrive so he could let them know.When I arrived at the dealer, I met with leonce and he took he back to the mechanics and they proceeded to ask questions, unaware that I would be arriving. Leonce went to speak with someone and informed me that I would need to take it to the Chrysler dealership next door. I questioned why he made me come there if they were not going to look at it. He assured me he would make sure they would look at it today.I went to talk with the Chrysler dealer next door and they had absolutely no availability that day for anyone to even touch it. My options were to leave it there (I had no way home) or continue to drive it and come back another day. Finally I had wasted enough time that my husband was able to come and we left the vehicle there.——The reason I leave this negative review isn’t due to the fact that my vehicle died. I get that I cannot request them to do anything since they had already “fixed” it. It’s the fact that I was told to bring a vehicle to the garage and I would be taken care of. I made a point that I was afraid to drive this vehicle and was told to come there.If I had known this was the case, I would have gone directly to the Chrysler dealer and set anappointment.—-And by the way, the vehicle is running much smoother now that this fixed and almost all the vibration is gone.
Drove almoat 60miles toi washington. test drove a truck, had my own financing, then set up a test drive for my wife on same truck, told them my wife worked till 5.00 pm. sales man brought out sales manager, Ted. I discussed when a good time would be for the wife to test drive the truck I asked if they could stay a little late one evening, we could get there shortly after 6.00pm thursday, or friday and if that did not work for them we could come back saturday. I liked the truck was very interested in buying it. The manger Ted said it was 55 minutes from our town to Washington,Mo he used to drive it, and tbey would be happy to stay to accomodate us. I told them i would pick her up at 5.00pm and be back shortly after 6.00 between union and Washington the sales man texted me and said they were closing shop. We arrived in Washington at 6.09 they clsed and said the truck would be out front and they hope to see us tommorrow.

Very dishonest in every way. Service department has been terrible over the years, but Sales department is even worse. They are promoting hail damaged vehicles without disclosing that they are damaged until the end of the sales process. They blatantly lied about the Blue Book value of trade-ins to me and several people I know who have tried to deal with them. So the lying is apparently a deliberate strategy to steal a few more thousand out of each sale. I wouldnt give them one star, but you have to for the review.
Experience was so-so. I enjoy the car I bought, but the sales staff definitely lie. Wont be going back for future purchases.
Going to the body shop was super easy and they took care of all the problems with my car and they even cleaned it thoroughly afterwards. Anthony was incredibly nice in addition to the rest of the staff.

Bought 5 vehicles in the last 7 years. Sales department has been excellent ! However, the service department has likely cost them anymore sales ! When I show up with the Lincoln needing a oil change and they tell me I have to make a appointment for next week that gets agrivating ! Valvoline oil change had me in and out in under 15 mins ! Major service work sure, a appointment. But for a oil change for a VIP customer gimmy a break !

Took car in for repairs,after it was involved in accident. They gave us a nice rental car to use for about a week,for free,which was great. When our car was done,we picked it up,drove a mile or two,and parts fell off on the highway. Took it right back and of course they fixed it. Not to impressed,because of that part falling off. It was the whole front bumper gaurd.

First of all was told(by the salesman) the price of the vehicle was $1000 more than it was advertised for on two other websites (Carfax and Cargurus).Test drove the vehicle and brought my trade in for appraisal.After I told the salesman the payoff and some small talk, I was told they’d get back with me.Never did.I called to talk to the sales manager(Don)who told me that Leonce (the salesman) was supposed to call me back and that since he (Don) was out the day before,he didn’t know the status of the deal.I informed him that yes,Leonce was supposed to call me but hadn’t.Don said the only thing he knew was that the payoff was higher than expected and that he would AGAIN have Leonce call me.Two days passed,never heard from either of them.I’ve been in several dealerships and have bought several vehicles over the years (even bought a vehicle here prior).This is by far the worst experience I’ve had at a car dealership.If you can’t get the price right and can’’t show the decency to return a phone call after SEVERAL phone calls,I’ll gladly take my money somewhere else!

Service department gave misinformation numerous time about issues with my Ford and misinformation about a Lincoln. The service they suggested was wrong and just a pure ripoff. I received a second opinion from Marshall Ford, resolving the real issues for thousands less than Auffenberg quoted. Auffenberg is fraudulent, unprofessional, unqualified.They lie about their in-stock vehicles and lie about blue-book values of trade-ins.
THEY DO NOT DESERVE ANY STARS. these con artists tried to take me for over 6000.00 for a head gasket job and turbo cleaning which were not needed. took it to another dealer and cost me 790.00 for the whole job..WATCH OUT IF YOU ARE HAVING SERVICE ISSUES GET A SECOND OPINION..YOU WILL BE THEIR PREY.

Fast service, didnt have my part but got it in by opening the next morning, I was back on the road by 9am, and they fixed me up well enough to drive safely overnight while they waited for the part to arrive. Good prices. Will be back. And they have a 5th oil change is free service. Also- free Wi-Fi here, which is a necessary business expense for customers, but amazing how many places neglect it.

Unethical. Fixed a rental car that was scratched and the rental car company tried to charge me for 21 days loss of use. Come to find out the thrifty rental car franchise is also owned by Chris auffenberg. I reported these scam artist to the state attorney generals office in Missouri.
I dont recommend this dealership. The car I bought had problems for a month straight, hardly had the car. I couldnt even get insurance or plates in time because I didnt have the VIN number. They were very unprofessional, rude, and even yelled at my husband. Im disappointed and I will never go back. I will always tell everyone I come across to NOT go there.

This review is one star, simply for the fact the service after the car purchase has been horrible. The sales department were great. They worked with my wife and I to make the best purchase we possibly could. The service department is the issue.To start, our new 2020 Ford Escape Hybrid had a weird noise coming from the hood when the car would reach speeds of 50 to 55 mph and over. The service department told me to bring in the car, so they could confirm the issue. I was told they knew what it was but need an official work order from Ford to fix it, and they would call when ready. Weeks pass and no call. I call back and they have no idea what Im talking about. Im transfered to the body shop.Same ordeal. Body shop wants to confirm the sound, but they at least admit they dont know what the issue is. After months of waiting, they finally get my wife a rental and take the car in for a week to find the issue. Well, they never found it. Then decide to direct me back to the service department, the same department that pretty much lied to me before.Now, just recently, Im adding windshield washer fluid to the car and notice that the engine cover is gone. This is insane. Im writing this review, because it seems their single star is deserved at this point. I plan to update when (or if) the issue ever gets fixed. Also, if they actually still have the engine cover they removed but failed to reinstall before returning the car to me.
