The Chocolate Chocolate is the oasis in the middle of DC. Every time we go there, we felt welcomed with the smiles and the hospitality of the owners. They have the varieties of the candies and chocolates and also they have seasonal items which usually are lovely! I ordered the chocolates a few times during the pandemic, and they delivered them so well. I am going to order more for my treats!

Entering Chocolate Chocolate is a great experience. It is on a lovely bit of Connecticut Avenue just across from the Mayflower. It is a small site of grace and elegance. It is run by two women who present class and charm to all customers whether they are buying a single piece or a large carton. The chocolate is beyond awesome. The wonderful taste will linger for the rest of the day. Its something one doesnt want to forget.

Beautiful space, excellent selection, and a phenomenal staff! I stopped in looking for a gift for some friends and experienced one of the best customer service experiences of my life. They have lots of nut free options and an array of products at every price point, in a wide array of flavors (Yuzu honey to chocolate covered Oreos). I could not recommend their products or the store more!!

We stopped in after lunch on our recent visit and picked up a melange of goodies- bourbon caramels, lemon creme chocolates, chai chocolates, and more. Everything was delightful, including the lovely ladies who helped us.

Our visit was phenomenal. The chocolate was phenomenal. It wasn’t just a chocolate lovers dream; to hear the stories of the Park sisters and their connection to their community made me want to buy more. Go see them. Your sweet tooth won’t be disappointed.

Distinctively delicious - you will find your chocolate favorites as well as special flavor combinations and designs - even DC monuments wrapped in gold. And where else can you buy finely crafted chocolates AND books in the same shop by the same creators??? What a place to strike up a conversation!!

The owners greet everyone with such warmth that one doesnt want to leave. The store is spotless and oh the chocolates. There is a chocolate for everyones tastes. No such thing as a bad piece of chocolate at CC! They even have truffles made by one of the owners which are beyond delicious!No doubt that Chocolate Chocolate is a gem. I first started coming to Chocolate Chocolate 25 years ago(!) when I lived in DC. Its an independent, high end chocolate shop. The owners are passionate about their chocolate and know their product. If you are a connoisseur, this is the place for you. I currently live in the NY area and this is one of my go-to places for holiday gifts.

DC is fortunate to have such a wonderful chocolate shop with a fabulous inventory of exquisite chocolate. I have shoped there for years and always turn to them for holiday/birrthday presents. Ginger, Francie and Skip are friendly, welcoming and are experts at advising on best choices for my tastes. They truly are concerned about their customers and make sure that we have the best experience possible. They deservedly have a loyal following and I am thrilled that their business survived the challenges of COVID.

There was a rat in your shop and I am utterly disgusted and disappointed in the cleanliness of this establishment and will be giving a one star review.

I got the 36 piece mixed chocolate box and some dark chocolate covered candied orange peels. They were so perfect! the mixed chocolates had an excellent variety and the orange chocolate was beyond amazing, a superb mix of of the two flavors.

For some reason, DC doesnt have a whole lot of stores with pick & mix candy walls. This place is one of the only ones Ive found, and I really like it! The store is quite small, and the selection is limited, but what they have is yummy. I didnt get any crazy expensive truffle selections, so my little bag of candy was only $2.30.

I would crawl across broken glass and brave rabid tigers to get their house truffles --which are not always available. Their selection of chocolate outside of their own homemade stuff is excellent and will appease people who need (not want) emergency chocolate. It will also spoil you on eating pedestrian fare from anywhere else. (I recommend the house truffle, the 5 star praline bar, and the almond bark). In a world of chains, its a break from the ordinary and sooooooo worth it.

The smell of chocolate hits you as soon as you enter. Quaint cozy store with a wide variety of chocolate including sugar free. They have unique Hanukkah Gelt for the holidays.

A delightful small chocolate shop. A large selection of fine chocolates to sweet treats. Staff is great and personable.They are happy to help you with selections or just let you shop. A bit pricey but well worth it.

This is my go to chocolate shop for gifts. The prices are very reasonable for the quality. I usually buy an assortment of their non-branded chocolates, which sell by the pound. The chocolate is high quality, but I was particularly impressed with the quality of the marshmallows in the chocolate covered marshmallows. Everything Ive tried has been delicious. I highly recommend the shop!

Truly a gem. Family-owned chocolate shop that has been here for decades. You can get everything from the best and newest truffles from Europe and small American producers, to more traditional American chocolates, to scrumptious bars, and high quality novelty chocolates. There is nothing pretentious or judgmental here, just the best of each type of chocolate to enjoy.

Amazing staff, top shelf chocolate in the heart of dc downtown. I love the variety, now I would love it more if they had sales or almost expired chocolate. The samples are great, the options seem limitless and even the sugar free chocolate is worth celebrating here. Their boxes make nice gifts as well and their cashiers are helpful always with a smile.

My absolute favorite chocolate shop in DC. Its teeny tiny - tucked away so its easy to miss. They have a lot of the pretty and fancy gift chocolates, but my favorite thing is the high-end versions of standard favorites. Their chocolate covered chocolate caramels, giant peanut butter cups, and dark chocolate peppermint patties are some of my favorites.

Excellent selection of quality chocolate. I just stumbled upon the place, but I am so glad I did! They have a huge variety of dark chocolates, milk chocolates, and truffles. I bought a few of their Dark Chocolates. So far Ive only tried the 72% Lake Champlain Dark Chocolate Bar, but it was wonderful. It had notes of baked brownie and roasted cocoa just like the description said and it melts in your mouth. The person working there was so nice and helpful. I will definitely be returning!

I have been indulging in fine chocolates from Chocolate Chocolate since before they were on Connecticut Avenue, and theres a reason I keep going back. Undoubtedly, theres the wide selection from around the world--and if chocolate is not your thing for whatever reason, there are Jelly Belly jellybeans and other candies. But mostly theres the amazing staff, especially sisters Frances and Ginger, who established the business and work tirelessly to keep it successful. No matter how busy they are, the staff always greet everyone walking through the door with a smile and an assurance that help is right there if they need an assist. And they mean it. No question or request is too big or too small. Friendly and approachable, those behind the counter ensure that the shopping experience for those in front of it is a pleasure. Treat yourself and pay a visit (or two or ...) to Chocolate Chocolate.

Excellent selection of chocolates and some other candy, too. While the shop is small, they always seem to have something new to try. Just the friendliest staff, too!! Cant recommend highly enough!

My sister loves this place, and has passed it on to me, she also gets a bit more than peeved when I eat an entire box of these chocolates in one sitting. The truffles they sell behind the counter are out of this world and are absolutely worth the splurge. I love coming here to buy gifts for other people, and their Easter spread was solid with bunnies and eggs and lamb chocolates of all kinds.

This is my favorite chocolate shop in the entire DC area. Fantastic first rate selection of boxed and loose chocolates. The Laderach chocolates are only one of the many premier brands they carry. The personal caring service I always receive is just as spectacular. Theyve boxed and shipped gifts for me several times for my mom down in Florida with great care and perfect delivery.
