I highly recommend this place. Great prices. Amazing customer service. Visibly fresh bagels and produce. Me and my girls go here after every sleepover and wow does it hit the spot! It’s cash only but they have an ATM. My top favorites are the Super Bagel (cream cheese, sprouts, onions, and tomato) Bacon Egg and Cheese and Cucumber Cooler. They have great tasting cream cheese and everything is always perfectly toasted and fluffy. This place will never fail me. I love you Bagels Etc. …you are my hero! #hangoverfood #awesomeness #delicious #familyownedandrun #takeallmymoneybagelsetc

If youve been around the D.C. scene for a while, you know that people are obsessed with Call Your Mother bagels in Park View NW. Bagels Etc. is to Dupont Circle as Call Your Mother is to Park View.Like Call Your Mother, you can expect a crowd at Bagels Etc., especially in the morning. However, the staff here move very fast and the wait isnt very long. A group of women run the operation and have it down to a science. The bagels are phenomenal. They are usually warm from the oven, but just in case, ask for it toasted. My order is the chocolate bagel with honey walnut cream cheese for $4. It comes out warm, the cream cheese perfectly melted. The bagel itself has great texture and is quality. They also sell bagel sandwiches, coffee, and other breakfast items.Theres some seating in the front (lower tables) and high bar seating in the way back. They also have restrooms in the back. This is a CASH ONLY cafe, but theres an ATM inside that charges you only $1.50 per transaction.

I wouldnt recommend this place over other bagel spots in DC. The price is comparable to Bethesda Bagels but the bagels are tiny, maybe half the size of Bethesda. They dont taste bad, but arent as good as Call Your Mother or Bethesda Bagels. And buying dozen bagels is 12, not a bakers dozen. Ok for a quick snack, but overall I was very disappointed.

Stayed in DC during the Christmas holiday. We happened to find this place because they were open on Christmas Day. I was highly impressed. The prices are very reasonable and well worth it. I had the veggie omelet and it was delicious. I was surprised that it came with a bagel but so glad that it did! The bagel was soft and chewy. Mine was not warmed and I still thoroughly enjoyed it. Im not a huge bagel fan, but I returned the same day for another order of omelet and bagels. I live in Maryland and found this delicious enough that I would travel here. The condiment bar was well stocked with anything you need.My mind was blown with how prompt these ladies work! You wont run late by stopping here! Typical in DC, its on street parking but if you find a spot, trust you will not be disappointed for coming by this amazing bagel shop!

They only take cash, which in this time (or aftermath) of the pandemic is not acceptable. I dont want to handle cash or peoples change. I wasnt like that before the pandemic. Even Brooklyn bagel in Arlington started taking credit cards during pandemic... And there are a few businesses more set on their ways than that one.I got a sesame bagel (I toasted it) which was kind of squishy or spongy inside and bottom. The top was okay but somehow a little oilier than sesame Bagels usually are. I threw half of it away. Bethesda Bagels and firehook bakery a few blocks away are better and both of them take credit cards.

If you dont expect much, its fine. Its VERY rushed, the feeling is just take it and move over. Coffee was bland, I asked for almond milk and it was sour. She didnt have another one. Told me to take half and half. The bagel was rubbery and there was very little cream cheese. I didnt feel like bothering with going back inside and getting into discussion.Wont be going back

I think I’m spoiled by my CT bagels and feel sad for all you DC folks. Was Bagels Etc good? It was decent, but not worth the fuss. 1st, if you are COVID shy, don’t even think about going because the line is claustrophobic to begin with. At least people wore masks. 2nd-cash only! Really? Is Square or Clover that much overhead? Yes, there’s an ATM, but those are only less dirty than a gas pump. 3rd-small bagels & overpriced. My BEC on everything was okay. My daughter’s bagel with lox was good. They were very fast filling orders though. No problems with our easy order, but I heard 2 different parties ahead of us with problems.

Saw great reviews and was excited to try, but was disappointed to find a long strand of hair in my sandwich after I had already eaten half of it. Definitely wasnt mine as it was a different color, and I couldnt take it back to the store since I got it to-go at closing time. I know its a small business so I dont want to be too harsh, but I think right now with COVID they should be especially careful and sanitary.

Bagels Etc. serves up some of the best bagels in DC. You can count on their bagels to be consistently good and satisfying. They are located in a small ground-level location thats easy to miss, but they are definitely worth a visit if youre in search of a good bagel. There are seating options inside and outside on the tiny patio, but very limited. As soon as you enter, youll be greeted by the scent of hot, fresh bagels. Get in line and be ready to place your order when you reach the counter. They are very fast and efficient, so youll get your bagels and breakfast sandwiches quickly.

Usually I just walk to a nearby bench or park (Dupont Circle, Rose park, etc.) and enjoy my bagel. Cash only, with an ATM at the front of the store now. A while back, I forgot cash but the owner let me pay her back on my next visit. Kudos to the honor system and back-to-the-basics neighborhood deli. Love this place with all my heart. P.S.
