New to the area I was already ripped off by one mechanic, CT was by my work so I tried them. Glad I did. Very honest knowledgeable mechanics. Their prices are fair and reasonable. They put a Banks Power Brake on my diesel which I wasn’t happy with. They took it out and gave me a full refund. Very honest place. I recommend them.

My truck is 25 years old. I took it to Big O tire and they dorked it up so badly that it would barely run. They apparently had never seen a truck with a distributor before. CT not only fixed the timing & firing order problems but also found a very obscure grounding problem in the engine control module. I’ve since had them do other work. They do great work! Charge a fair price and get you back on the road. So glad I found them.

CT did a great job with problems with my turbo charger on my 02 Ford 7.3 diesel. Truck ran great during our three week western states trip. Also, they helped with a transmission problem after the trip.

We were passing through St. George and had a radiator problem on a record hot weekend. It was only a few hours from closing on Friday and they were very helpful and flexible and the only shop of the 4 or 5 we called that was willing to take us in even though they were already very busy. After diagnosing the problem they were willing to stay late and would have done so if a radiator would have been available anywhere in the area. They seemed to be to be honest and competent and willing to do whatever was needed to solve our problem. If I lived in the area they would be my new mechanics for sure.

Car problems are the worst; especially when major repairs are needed. In this situation you want someone who is going to give it to you straight, tell you all of your options without selling you hard in their favor, and explaining everything even if it takes two or three times for you to get it. You also want someone who is competent and makes you feel like they are helping you solve a problem and not ripping you off. From my experience with CT thats what you get. I wish they had a So Cal location.

I wrote the review below a few weeks ago. Craig, the owner of CT Automotive wrote to me personally by e-mail to apologize for the mistake. There was a lack of communication on both ends and I feel like Craig and CT Automotive could have completed the work properly had our communication with each other been better. I feel that Craig has made appropriate amends with me and he is a very humble and forgiving man. I believe he is a man of integrity and will go out of his way to ensure that the job gets done right. I did not have a lot of time to work with because I was leaving for Texas. I was not able to get the Suburban into CT sooner because I did not have the money until roughly a week before leaving for Texas. I feel that had I been able to give CT Automotive ample time to diagnose the issue, they would have been better able to fix the issues I had with my Suburban. Im grateful for CT Automotive and Im grateful for the mechanic Ive found in Kempner, TX.Roger DouglassI brought in my Chevrolet Suburban with a flashing engine light and an oil sensor that was broken. I was concerned because I was moving to Texas and would be hauling a trailer. My Suburban was there 3 days and all they did was fix the oil sensor and have someone else replace some broken glass. Driving back home over by Bluff Street, the engine light came back on. I took it back in and they hooked it up to a sensor and told me it was a misfiring cylinder, not to be too concerned. I asked if it would get me to Texas pulling a trailer. It did, but the engine light was on all the way from Short Creek to Copperas Cove, TX.I found a mechanic in my small non-denominational church, here in Texas. In less than an hour, his master mechanic determined that it was faulty spark plug wires, two broken plugs, and a faulty coil. He only charged me $131 and told me if I didnt have it, I can make payments to him.Ive done business with Guy Simpkin at Guys Auto Master by Pine View High. His prices are a little higher but at least he does a thorough job and doesnt send you 1,200 miles with a blinking check engine light.I was told CT Auto was the best for Chevrolet in Washington County. I wasnt charged for anything but the work performed but I feel like they were lazy in their efforts to diagnose a problem that was easily diagnosed by a mechanic in the little redneck hillbilly town of Kempner, Texas.
